Exactly…it so easy to make yourself known in today’s world. Why make it more confusing then it has to be…someone like myself I do it the hard way lol, I cold call and do walk-ins to meet new people (along with the online stuff). Before I got use to the idea of cold contact, I too was fearful….but then I just did it till I burned all those fears away…now I feel nothing
Great PrideCast. Luckily I don’t have a problem meeting people offline, but this opened my eyes to meeting people online.
It still takes awhile to attract people to a website. You have to publish a lot of articles before people start to approach you online. I started writing about nightclub reviews in my city a longtime ago and I a few people got in touch asking about the club scene. So what I suggest is to talk about something specific and mention your location in as many articles as possible, eventually people will find you. I don’t write nightclub reviews anymore but I’m starting to write again, we’ll see if anyone contacts me. Great podcast.
I don’t usually go in to the site “from the front”, so I only just noticed, but you should probably be told that nothing after Dec. 25 is showing up on https://boldanddeterminedarchive.com/blog/
John, that’s because there were no new posts posted after that date. There were 2 podcasts, but they are in a separate category.
There were also some posts on bossmma.com posted, but that’s also separate.
Good to see more podcasts coming from you.
I agree, meeting people online is really undervalued. A few years ago I felt this stigma attached to meeting others from the internet.
Fast forward to today, I’ve met new friends, girls, and other contacts in different parts of the world online. I still like to meet people in person when possible, but the internet is truly a handy tool to help you expand your social network.
I swear you can get any girl wet when you talk with that deep jazzy smooth voice.
Seriously Vic, did you do voice coaching or is this how you sounded since you were a teenager? Maybe this is a new blog post idea that would be useful for a lot of guys including myself who have meh voices: “How to talk like a real man” or something.
No, I never did any voice coaching. My voice just is what it is. It happens to sound good on a mic or in bed with a lady, otherwise it’s a particularly normal voice. One tip - eliminate uncertainty when you speak and then you’ll sound more like a man.
Thanks Vic. I did want to comment that my voice sounded much deeper and more masculine after I did some weight lifting or after I macked on a hot chica (combo does even better). Apparently, there is a seratonin and testosterone release after doing either, and that causes your mindset to change, your body to relax and your voice to come more from the diaphragm than the squeaky throat voice which is many men’s default.
I’ve got a head full of ideas that are driving me insane.and posts like these don’t help much.
Thank you for the inspiration, uncle Vic. you help me see the big picture clearly. It’s like i’m looking for something so tough but the whole time, the answers are sitting right in front of my face. This past year and a half have been amazing as far as my transformation into a better man goes. I feel like I’m watching my dreams starting to develop right in front me. Can’t shit get me down - no sir. I feel like Tyson in his prime. You can’t tell me nothin.
I owe, Vic.
If you want to start a blog, model successful blogs like B&D and wall street play boy that provide real value and focuses on helping people. Do not a write a freaking narcissistic blogs that only serves to express your personality and sometimes over-expressing yourself on internet will hurt you in real life. Honestly,if you can solve my problems, I would like be friends with you no matter what personality you are.
This is exactly what I needed.
I haven’t listened to this yet, but recently I’ve realized that I’ve outgrown all of my friends.
They have no drive, no goals, no motivation.
I told them I had 2 pages worth of new years ‘resolutions’, with a step-by-step plan for each, and they looked at me like I was Hitler reborn.
They don’t want to see me succeed.
This is perfect timing. I recently ditched a group of toxic friends who had severe cases of “bum mentality”. I’m hopeful about meeting more people online after hearing this.
Based on my experience, I’d also say that when you meet people (online or off), don’t come to them with problems or requests - bring answers, offer something of value. No one likes a mooch.
Really enjoying the PrideCasts, Vic - looking forward to the next one.
Good job.
You just gave 55,000,000 people permission to have a social life.
