The great thing about working online is you get to meet experts in all areas. I've been lucky enough to be able to work with one of the best in the bodybuilding industry.
This guy has personally helped me get RIPPED when I needed to get ripped. And to be honest, it's a little selfish of me to not share his encyclopedic knowledge of fitness and bodybuilding.
The information below is for “beginners” in fitness, and it's for fit people who “fell off the wagon” and let laziness take over.
No matter who you are, if you aren't as fit as you want to be, you need to read these 10 fitness tips by John Doe Bodybuilding.
These fitness tips will teach you how to turn the goal of fitness into an every-day process.

I love to be the guy who still has the passion and enthusiasm to hit the iron and build muscles.
No matter what life throws in my face, I still find time to train, eat right and be a beast.
I may have to do things a little different now with a family and other responsibilities, but in my book there is no excuse for being out of shape.
To me, everything is a process of either do or do not.
You either eat healthy or you eat like shit. When it comes to money, you either work for it or you stay broke.
I'm the type of guy who works for it, but I see so many people who would rather kick back and sit on the sofa watching tv rather than aspiring to become more.
Those people seem to create their own burdens and dwell on bullshit, rather than focusing on the positives in life - like getting fit and staying fit.
Focusing on the bullshit keeps them far away from their goals and desires, and for whatever reason they can't seem to snap out of lazy mode.
Or more likely… they just don't really want to snap out if it. If they wanted to snap out of it and focus, they would.
When you want to snap out of lazy mode and turn on beast mode, it's easy. You just have to own yourself and say:
“I've been a lazy fuck, but that all ends today! Now it is time to focus on the goal at hand.”
What's the goal at hand? Everybody knows the goal, but not everybody will admit the goal.
Here is the goal (say these words out-loud): “The goal is getting fit and staying fit for a lifetime.”
Now that you've admitted your goal, you're ready to get fit and stay fit. But don't forget, the fitness lifestyle is more than a goal, it's a process.
To stay fit for a lifetime, fitness has to stop being a goal and it has to start being a daily process.
So how do you turn fitness into a daily process?
These are the 10 ways you turn the goal of living a fitness lifestyle into an every-day process.
1. Scheduling
Designate a set time to workout. It's easier to be in the gym at a set time than it is to spontaneously decide when to go.
If that time doesn't seem convenient at first, ask yourself if it can be done.
Forget comfort, you'll eventually get into a new comfort zone as you get in better shape.
2. Consistency
Everyone thinks there's some big secret when it comes to getting in shape. There is.
The big secret to getting in shape is: CONSISTENCY.
Consistency is what builds a body and maintains it, so make sure you stay consistent.
If it's easy for you to fall off the wagon on nutrition unless you're in the gym 5-6 days a week, then use a routine that keeps you in the gym 5-6 days a week.
It's better to train more frequently than it is to train 2 days per week and eat ice cream on the other 5 days because you're not influenced by being in the gym.
3. Intensity
Take a look around the gym and tell me how intense people are working nowadays. I can honestly say I've never seen anyone outwork me in the gym.
I create a war with the weights and that war is me releasing my thoughts and issues through physical exertion.
I get my problems off my chest through my workouts, not through a psychologist.
When you're in the gym to train, don't talk. Just workout hard.
4. Nutrition
You are what you eat. If you eat like a peasant, you'll look like one. If you eat like a gorilla, you'll look like one.
If you eat like a bodybuilder and pair this with hard work and consistency, eventually you'll look like a bodybuilder.
Eat shit and you'll look like shit. Eat clean and you'll look smooth and clean. It's just that simple.
5. Don't be like everyone else
Don't be like everyone else because everyone else looks and feels like shit.
Going out to the bar, blowing money on shit you don't need, or wearing a fit-shit watch to track your steps.
It's funny that guys had no issues getting ripped before those watches came out and now everything is harder.
Did you ever stop to think that a cushy lifestyle is your worst enemy?
6. Have a realistic plan
The workout routines of top professional bodybuilders are on the net.
Before you follow those routines, ask yourself if that routine will be realistic with your time and goals.
I'd rather see you consistently hit 3 exercises for 20 minutes 3 times a week, than see you kill it for an hour 6 days a week and then give up after 3 weeks.
That slow and steady guy? He's going to win.
7. There is no perfect program
All bodybuilding programs work depending on who is doing it and where they're at physique wise.
Don't get wrapped up with one specific routine.
Whether a set is 5 reps and heavy, 20 reps and lighter, or a diet is 3 meals a day or 6 meals a day. It all works.
It's easier to follow guidelines than an exact routine. It's also realistic and keeps you going.
8. Go to bed every night at a certain time
Make it your goal to be in bed at a certain time every night.
Going to bed at the same time every night helps with scheduling, and getting good sleep helps even more with muscle recovery.
People are more tired than ever these days and much of this has to do with stimulation at night from electronic devices.
One thing that will help with this is blue light blocking glasses. Wear them a couple hours before bed and you'll fall asleep easier.
9. Take days to do something outside
Fitness isn't limited to the gym. You can do things outdoors to break up the monotony of working out indoors all the time.
Pick one day a week to workout or do cardio outdoors.
Anything from playing golf, tennis, or walking outdoors will give you a sense of vibrancy and change.
It will also make sticking to your workout routine easier.
10. Ignore what people are lifting in the gym
So some guy is benching three plates and you're benching one. Who cares? Most guys I see training heavy don't have good physiques anyway.
A fat guy heaving around big weight is different than a guy in shape doing it. It's much harder to lift weight when you're lean than it is when you're carrying above average body fat.
Ignore what weights people in the gym are using, and don't let it influence your workouts.
Do what is right for you, and keep doing it consistently.
You will realize that when you're advanced enough, it won't matter what type of weight you use.
Eventually, you'll be able to use baby weights and you'll still make gains…
If you just train hard consistently.

Good hearing from you on B&D JD! Yeah, this has been my mindset lately, Consistent effort gets consistent results 100% of the time.
I have never understood how people don’t enjoy the gym. You would need an army to hold me back. I have trained through injuries, and ailments of all sorts. If I didn’t have the gym I would need a therapist.
Consistency has been my greatest ally. Even when injuries have slowed me down, just showing up and doing whatever I can has done a phenomenal job of allowing me to keep gains. After years of consistency, anything I lose is easily packed back on as soon as I can reintroduce the intensity!
Fuck ya that was a great post I’m looking forward to this new book JDS got and the follow up book to new world ronin!
This can also be applied to blogging.
This can also be applied to everything ma’am.
Thanks much for that motivation. Im subscribing…
High frequency works for me. I train in the gym everyday and keep it short for only one hour. I only focus on 3 exercises for 6 days and then I do accessory lifts on Sunday. I do Squat, Deadlift, Overhead Press, Pull Up, Dip, and Row variations 3 times a week. I never go to failure because I believe in training for success and conquering the weights. One thing I love about lifting is that there are no rules. You make your own rules and you lift hard.
That’s some excellent advice and couldn’t have said is better myself! I’d rather be lean and a smaller than big and fat anyday of the week. It takes little discipline to get bigger, it takes A LOT of discipline to have an awe worthy physique.
Great post JD. I like the number 5 since most people are making things so complicated lately. I know people who’ve bought one and they got even more out of shape since they got it. They’d better invest in some quality food in my humble opinion.
This article really hits the nail on the head with this article JD.
It is the perfect combination of basics every beginner has to stick to. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Beginners (and pretty much all of these guys without success) try to over complicate things. They over complicate their routines, their nutrition and wonder why they do not get the results.
This can also be applied to business, success with women … literally everything in life.
The secret really just lays in these ten steps with a big focus on: consistency, nutrition, sleep and following a plan that is right for YOU!
And don’t forget to leave the ego at the door! There is no sense in trying to lift heavier than everybody just to satisfy your ego and impress some guys in the gym.
In the end, your physique is what will truly represent your character and your efforts in the gym.

when having a cold shower at night is the greatest pain, however it will make t’terone increased. Same when we do weights under the sun we feel the power of a superbike or a container truck without the load.
Initial step is the most painful but it will definetley for GLORY or gloryhole.

Awesome. The biggest game changer for me was hitting the gym 5-6 times a week. I used to tell myself I’d go 3 times per week but I’d end up going once or twice at most on average. Sometimes I’d hit 3, sometimes 1. It was sporadic. I find when I train 5-6 a week, I don’t let the momentum take a break. Even if I have a half-arsed workout, the fact that I laced up my shoes and got to the gym makes me feel victorious.
Thanks John and Victor. Your advice has made a bigger impact in my life than you can imagine.
If you eat like shit.. you will look like shit. This is so true.
Thanks for the kick in the ass boys!
This was either edited by Nick or John Doe has got some serious studying of Victor’s writing.
In any case, good content.
Your articles always give me a boost. Really appreciate the no nonsense approach. Everything you say makes so much sense.
Simple but true - eat shit for looking like shit :P the same applies for your training - get off ur lazy ass, be smart, aim for progression, but be sure to leave your ego outside the gym!
