So you want to stop feeling depressed and sad and you want to start being more of a go-getter?
You have come to the right place because I have just the answer for you.
Number one, right off the bat - life is short, friends. Ain't nobody got time to spend it all depressed and sad.
Number two, if you ever couldn't get work done because you were too sad or blue, I have news for you - it's an easy fix.
I'm going to detail the easy fix to get more work done in my upcoming book High Energy Entrepreneur.
High Energy Entrepreneur details the entire strategy in a way that any human can follow. Until then…
Here are 3 key ways to stop feeling depressed and sad.
And start kicking some motherf*cking ass like you're supposed to do.
(Transcription of the audio is below)
Let's talk about how to avoid depression in three steps with the understanding that most depression is not a chemical imbalance, it is just feeling sad or feeling blue.
The 3 ways to stop being depressed:
- Have a purpose.
- Move your body.
- Don't be lonely.
Those are your three key ways to stop feeling depressed and start kicking ass every day.
First one - Have a mission
It's impossible to feel depressed when you have a purpose in life.
It's very easy to feel sad and blue when you don't have a purpose.
When you don't have a reason to wake up in the morning why wake up?
So what you need is a mission in life, a purpose in life.
And I can't tell you what your mission is. I only know what my mission is.
But all I can say is that when you have a mission, you have a reason to wake up in the morning and you stop feeling sad and blue.
The other thing: It's tempting to just sleep extra, sleep more.
If you don't have a reason to wake up, why wake up?
Sleeping extra causes depression, so it's a never‑ending cycle.
It's tempting to oversleep when you don't have a reason to wake up.
The best thing you can do is actually get a little bit less sleep than more sleep.
More sleep causes depression. It's not because you're depressed you sleep extra. It's both.
You sleep extra you get depressed; you get depressed you sleep more. It's a never‑ending cycle.
The best thing you can do is if you're feeling blue is to wake up early as “F” every morning. Wake up at 5 or 6 every morning.
It's very, very difficult to feel blue at five o'clock in the morning or 6 or 7. I guarantee that. So wake up earlier.
If you don't have a purpose, it will reveal itself to you in time.
So that's No. 1: Have a purpose. And don't oversleep.
Number 2 - Move your body
You get a thing called runner's high but it applies to everything you do physically.
You feel good after you move your body or after you get exercise.
It doesn't have to be exercise. Just go out and have fun. Climb a mountain. Have sex. Ride a bike.
It doesn't have to be in the gym lifting weights. It can be anything where you move your body.
But when you move your body, you release endorphins and you feel better.
A lot of depressed people are sedentary. It's very easy to feel depressed when you don't have those feel‑good chemicals in your body.
So you need to move your body every day an hour a day. And if you don't you're going to start to feel blue.
I had ‑‑ fuck. I had something wrong with my throat. I had some cabin fever or something. Not cabin fever… I don't know. I had a sore throat for like two weeks in this desert air.
I got a nasty, nasty sore throat and a cough and I couldn't breathe well.
So I couldn't train very well for those two weeks. And guess what happened in those two weeks? I started feeling blue.
And I'm feeling better, out training again. It's probably 8 or 9 in the morning. I'm not sure what time it is. But I feel great.
I feel a lot better because I'm able to move my body now instead of just sitting around. So that's No. 2.
If you're feeling sad and blue, move your body, whatever it is. Just go move your body.
And let those feel‑good chemicals into your body and you'll feel better.
So No. 1: Have a mission. No. 2: Move your body.
Number 3 - Don't be lonely
A lot of lonely people mistake being lonely with being depressed.
“Well, it's not my fault. It's a chemical depression.”
No. It is your fault. It's not a chemical depression. You're just lonely.
And that's a real easy fix, man. Don't be alone anymore. That's a real easy fix.
And if you're having a hard time finding somebody or finding people, look at what the reason is.
Can you not find a girl because you're overweight? That's an easy fix too.
Can you not find a girl because you're shy? That's an easy fix too.
Just find one online. Look at what the reason is and fix it instead of just feeling sad and blue. Fix it. Fix the problem.
So those are your three keys to stop feeling depressed: Have a mission. Move your body. Don't be lonely. All right?
How do you do that? Starts by waking up early every day. Five, six in the morning.
Second step if you haven't done it, get 30 Days of Discipline.
Part of 30 Days of Discipline is you have to wake up at five o'clock in the morning for 30 days, and if you don't you fail.
So if you don't have a new mission, your new mission is 30 Days of Discipline.
If you find it hard waking up in the morning, that's too bad, man.
You're only cheating yourself when you don't.
Nighttime is the wrong time, man. Morning is where it's at.
So wake up. Move that body. Stop being lonely. And have a mission.
All right? Three things. Have a nice day.
(Speaking off camera). Yeah it is. I'm sorry? Myself? Yeah. Oh, I'm casing the neighborhood. I was thinking about robbing it. Yeah..
>> FEMALE SPEAKER: Where do you live?
>> Well, I live ‑‑ I'm actually homeless. Sort of.
>> FEMALE SPEAKER: Okay.
>> I rent houses. I travel a lot so I just rent houses. So I'm renting a house in Henderson right now in Spring Valley. Then I'm going ‑‑
>> FEMALE SPEAKER: What kind of work do you do that you travel a lot?
>> I make videos for YouTube.
>> Hi, hi?
>> FEMALE SPEKER: He likes to say hello.
>> After this I'm going to go to Boise for two weeks. I'm going to travel to Dallas.
>> FEMALE SPEAKER: You travel a lot. You have a life, that's cool. Do you need a dog? (Laughing)
>> I don't know if they'd fit on an airplane with me. It would be hard to travel.
That woman I was just talking to on the street said something very interesting.
She was walking two dogs and one dog was in a little pram, a little baby stroller.
She said, “This one has a heart murmur. He gets tired, but I don't want to rob the other one of his walk.”
And I thought, Yeah. If you're not moving your body you're robbing yourself.
Intuitively, we know that dogs need exercise. And we know that if we don't give it to them we're robbing them.
But if we don't exercise, so what? Whatever.
Wrong! If you're not moving your body, even for just 10, 15, 20 minutes a day, you're robbing yourself.
And you're a criminal. Robbers are criminals.
Until next time.

Fantastic 3 rules!
I have to admit that I started getting up at 5am and I feel great! I can accomplish more during that day than I ever did when I was waking up at 6:30am. I even moved to another state and feel even better! Not only that I live in a nice place where there are tennis courts and a swimming pool something I could have never been able to do in NY. As well as buy a second car!
It feels great! I used to be so miserable in NY because I had no mission! Now that I feel like I do my depression and misery has vanished!
Fellas! Victors words ring true every time! If you are depressed and or lonely file the three rules above and you should be getting your life back together in no time flat!
Thanks Victor!

Thanks Jose.
Lol @ Uncle Vic.
Uncle Vic has the solution to every problem .
Awesome video Victor!
I really hope you do a lot more of those. I haven’t seen much of video content from your site. You’ve got a strong presence on-camera, and it would be a shame if you didn’t take advantage of that…
Always love reading your blog, and can’t wait for your books to come out. Thanks for being real.
Best Always,
Darcy
Thank you Darcy.
Yeah, you nailed it, thank you, Victor, for this badass message! We are living in a matrix, like every animal and plant in this world. Take a note folks, if you are depressed this is why you chose to be depressed. Listen to daddy Victor and go find some goals to strive for. My piece of advice: relieve the monotony of life and bring in some change. No one can stand the same damn routine for eternity. Never sell out your own dreams and train your fucking brain to work on essential tasks instead of doing automatic bs we are all so often prone to.
Keep grinding!
Thanks Aleks.
What if I am alone because I have issues with my sexuality and I don´t know how to handle them due to my conservative backgrounds? (serious question).
Then you know where to start. Look into cognitive behavioural therapy. It’ll let you figure out how you’re thinking, and how to make progress towards changing those thoughts - and the beliefs that spawn them.
I think a lot of it will come down to just accepting yourself, cutting ties with those who won’t, and living your life true to yourself.
To be honest, I think CBT’s philosophy is flawed, but it’s methodology is correct. Combine it with… I don’t remember what they call it, but it’s just a fancy name for doing things, and it’s very often prescribed for depressed people. Lose your interest in doing xyz because you’re depressed? Do it anyway. Gives you the chance to enjoy the activity and work against the downward spiral.
“What if I am alone because I have issues with my sexuality and I don´t know how to handle them due to my conservative backgrounds? (serious question).”
I’d probably just decide to stop having issues and pick one or the other.
I’m loving these videos being turned into written blog posts. Keeps all the content together and easier to access.
Bold and Determined forever and always.
Thanks Thomas.
It’s more complicated than that for a lot of people. Yes, some people do just genuinely have a chemical imbalance. But these rules are important to everyone, and I think they’re the problem with most people who are depressed.
Vic, I live in Boise.
Would love to take you out to lunch if you have the time. Fuck it, we can lift instead if you’re down.
Let me know.
Been following for 2+ years you definitely changed my life.
Thanks. Rarely in Boise though. Once every 2-3 years.
Hello Uncle Victor!
To the point crisp article and video as well.
I see your body fat percentage has increased by 2-3 basis points because you were not well. Please drop it down soon as we all men look more handsome with our chisled cut faces!
One question I wanted to ask you regarding your book on blogging. Does it have content related to commerce store like how to open an online store and the database management of the users like their names, address, contact , username and password.
Looking forward to your reply. Keep kicking ass as you always do!
Ecommerce ****
“One question I wanted to ask you regarding your book on blogging. Does it have content related to commerce store like how to open an online store…”
No it doesn’t, but Spartan eCommerce will *probably* drop in 2017.
I’m from Dallas too.
When you’re over here is their anyway you can have a seminar or meetup where we can go see you or something?
I’m rarely in Dallas tbh. Just quick in and out these days.
When you do the same routine repeatedly, the next part of event is predictable so you don’t feel any rush. The body and mind adapts and overtime it stagnates; doesn’t improve. Even if it’s some sort of skill that you learned, it always needs to be pushed into new boundary. This is why learning never ends because each new tasks and the challenges that comes with it ahead of us are limitless.
Picture it as if you have your own comfort zone. You step outside your comfort zone and that’s when “magic” happens. You start to gain momentum and you start to gain results. Your body and mind goes through transformation when you go through being discomfort to conquering that and making that into comfort. The only people who understand this is of course the ones who were go-getters and were willing to step outside the box to obtain whatever they wanted in life.
You repeat it by conquering another new tasks that gives you discomfort and turn that into your comfort zone. But since gaining short term goal isn’t as fulfilling as long term goal. I mix my life with both short term goal AND long term goal. I prefer having long term goal. A goal that takes long time ideally two to three years span. That’s just my preference. Depending on my focus and other factors, it may take longer or shorter to obtain the goal.
If it takes you only 2 days to learn to tie a ribbon or fold a handkerchief in four different ways, you would be like… “okay that’s it? what’s next for me?”…. vs If it takes you 3 years of consistent work to increase your vertical jump by 15 inches and being able to dunk. Perhaps if the skills that takes long years to master, then wouldn’t that be more worthy to chase after than something that anyone can master in couple of days? Because many people are impatient and will drop out before they even reach one year. Hell! I put that in six month. Many people will drop out like dead fly. You think if it was easy everybody would do it, right? Yeah…. but why aren’t people doing something so rewarding? Because they just don’t have patience for it. NOW NOW NOW! I want it NOW! without any hard work. Everybody wants reward (in our case monetary reward — that BIG $$$$$$) and everybody *SAYS* they want it and they want it NOW but are NOT willing to go door knocking and face countless rejections and are not willing to approach people for ideas, sales, get laughed at, rejected, door slammed in their face, long nights of uncertainty and other diarrhea-effect moments of hardship before hitting success. Since everybody says they want to be rich, why isn’t that happening then? Because most people don’t want to give up (time of consistent work) in return. Takes time. Takes consistent work. Average man says… “nah I will pass that”.
Life doesn’t work like that, for anything you gain something big, there has to be something you give up in return.
“… Well but it took me ten years to master Violin and now I”m playing in front of huge audience in New York Orchestra, but it took ten years of my life” … But … was that ten years of consistent work worth it? The ten years you spent? So You give ten years of consistent work in return for violin skills that you perfected like an art. Always takes time and everything and anything based on time but if it helps you reach your goal, HELL YEAH IT”S WORTH IT!
The feeling of reward after three years of consistent work would taste much sweeter than a reward that you could obtain over two days. That hard work of sweat is like sugar to a Man. If you are a man and you never sweat in your life then you are missing out. How pity towards a man who never know what it feels like to carve his own body and mind towards great success (top peak) and a pity and waste that a man would squander away his most valuable asset of all: TIME.
If you had a button to push and that “magic” button gives you everything you wanted: Cars, girls, money, everything but you would still feel insecure and unfulfilled. Because it was so easy. A button; that’s all. You now got unlimited money, pussy, liquor, house, fancy car and everything that a man will die for. But why are you still feeling like a wimp? because it was so easy. The man’s need to conquer and go through challenge was nulled because that simple “easy button”. Which brings me to next point…. the instant availability.
Today we have a lot of technology gadgets and iphones and android and a lot of instant buttons and search functions in internet that can give us a lot of valuable information that will help us start business but yet we still feel sluggish. Perhaps this is why. Because it became so easy for us today that it killed our ability to hunt on our own. Everything with our modern culture today with instant gratification and instant fast food and the key word here: instant. NOW!
It takes few seconds to throw in yourself a basic t-shirt you wore three times in a row and some jeans with hole and feel like a piece of shit and just zone into youtube, watching someone else doing “fast food reviews” and spend time jerking off at pornhub or giving thumbs down and getting mad at someone making hillary clinton or donald trump comments. HAHAH!! hurray for you.
On the contrary…
Could you picture yourself…. wearing a necktie and suit, stepping outside of your house, and approaching another Man FACE TO FACE and debating him on politics and challenge him for his views in person? (personally think that politics is waste of time but the whole point is the approach here)…
If you are spending a lot of time on internet, make sure it has a purpose (and for business and learning purpose only). Forget your entertainment. From now, your only entertainment is increasing your business. The “entertainment” is really distraction for the average sheeps to run on consumption treadmill. You want to break out of that cycle. If it doesn’t help towards your business and mission, just eliminate it.
The long journey towards that goal is what gives us the reminder for us to keep moving. If we don’t move fast enough, time to reach the goal delays and when you keep delaying, you are pushing yourself back. This is why it’s optimal to make a checklist or similar and get shit done instead of procrastinating.
Boredom is what leads men into depression. Chemical imbalance causes depression as well. Can we come to a conclusion that boredom then perhaps causes chemical imbalance in men? I’m not a scientists but if we use instinct and be honest with ourselves then perhaps this is easy fix. Develop a mission and you would NOT feel depressed. Busy trying to chase clients for deals and how can you be depressed when you are so busy on getting the guy to sign below the dotted line? The only thing you are thinking is for him to give you his signature; nothing else.
You go to a 15 year old middle school knocking on door to door asking for service to mow people’s lawn and ask him if he is feeling depressed. He will probably say that he is busy trying to get clients for his summer business.
Then ask a middle age man who spends all day watching youtube videos of 6 hour nonstop comedy in the basement and ask him if he is being depressed. If he is honest with himself, then he will tell you.
You can give a man a welfare, handout and shelter and that man will secretly be jealous of another Man who decide to take his own route and find means for himself. Giving another man a welfare, and shelter gives him the feeling of satisfaction but it also kills his inner fire and drive. If you really think about it, it’s a good way to put another man down. What better way to kill another man than to kill his need to conquer and break his will. Do you know what is best way to insult another man? You take away his need to conquer. Basically you neuter him without actually physically doing it. So you just give him a leftover and make him think that, that is enough for him and he wouldn’t feel the need to hunt on his own.
The mind and body is made to improve and seek new thrills otherwise you might as well be a background plant. Go to a hospital and look at the people who are in coma. The ones with eyes open and still breathing but cannot move at all. Just look at them in the eyes and you will know. This part doesn’t really need explanation because eyes can tell a lot.
When you travel and start moving, you get to encounter a lot of unpredictability and the probability of such random occurrence. Not just that, you start to discover more of who you are and know more about yourself. You put your mind and body in situations like that and it goes through flight or fight mode. Flight is when your body pulls back and is scared and your mind freezes and you become inactive. Fight mode is when your body and mind does something about it and takes action.
Inaction vs action. It’s obvious which one is better.
Powerful TS! Thank you for taking the time to write this.
TS if you want to start a blog, hit me up. You should.
Vitamin D and moving your body is so important. black, latinos and asians do not get enough vitamin D, my doctor was like get some vitamin D and a personal trainer. I feel amazing. I work in real estate and so many folks move to a new city and say they can’t make friends. SO they sit at their apartment and at the end of the year they move back to california, ohio, new york, etc (i am in austin tx). We always ask did they join coed sports teams? go to meetups? try online dating? join some group gym activities? join a church? go to happy hours? the answer is always NO or half ass attempts. MAN you gotta go out, meet people, try sports, try events, volunteer, something. another good one. BUILDING something that gives you purpose, even if its a hour after work building your own thing is magical. be a builder.
Thanks Ericka, good ideas.
This is great shit Vic. I love the stuff on Purpose/Mission. This is the KEY. When I am on my Mission, I fucking feel it all throughout my body. I need less sleep, I have more energy, and I attract the things I want in my life.
Thanks Seneca.
Sleep isn’t for pussies. Sleeping in is for pussies. We’ve all done it at one point or another and while you do get that short term pleasure, boy do you feel like shit when waking up. Most short term pleasure = long term pain. Great article Vpride. Keep em coming.
Sleep is something I had to overcome. It feels so damn good, but you realize how much time you waste doing it instead of hustling. Some entrepreneurs/thought leaders have differing views on this. Arnold says 6 hours, I go with that.
Love this comment. Both of them actually.
Uncle Vic !
A question ? What would you do if someone flips you a middle finger while you are driving .
And the person who did that is weaker than you ? And you can’t prove it in the court , you have no pics or video ?
Will you force him to get down from his car and whup his ass ?
Will you flip him one in return ?
You will ignore ?
Readers can also chip in .
Tnx
“A question ? What would you do if someone flips you a middle finger while you are driving .
And the person who did that is weaker than you ?”
A weak person flipped me off, what to do? The same thing I do when I get hater comments, ignore it.
Why does it matter? Better question is, are you doing something to deserve being flipped off? As a weak guy, I can tell you a tire iron is stronger than you, so don’t start shit just because you’re bigger.
Great Post Victor. wonderfull. crisp and to the point. Very helpfull.
Thanks Ravi.
Okay I was just seeing this documentary called “the mask you live in” does anyone or you victor pride has seen this documentary? How is your perception of this documentary?
Because for me it just saying that “masculinity” is toxic..
Haven’t seen it.
This week i have determined that happiness has a lot to do with momentum.
You have to swing the momentum from feeling bad to good.
Small steps.
They say positive affirmations help, but when the momentum is so far the other way they can sometimes only make you feel worse.
“Your full of shit, that’s not true”
When this happens I usually feel pretty lethargic to turn things around, so I try to slowly swing the momentum by doing whatever I can that sounds fun.
Watch a movie, see a loved one, go for a walk, train etc etc.
I do whatever i can to begin the shift.
Positive attracts positive, so as you start to get up you will bring more and more positive thoughts and will start to feel better and better.
Few days later the momentum has shifted and you back in the game baby!
Do whatever you can to shift that momentum, even if it’s only 1%.
Positive attracts positive and soon it will be 2-3% and so on and so on.
Hope this helps anyone out there looking to get up!
Great comment!
Hi Vic,
Please tell me if I’m wrong but isn’t TRT also supposed to help you with your depression?
Did you feel less blue after you began your high T journey?
“Did you feel less blue after you began your high T journey?”
This is quite honestly very complicated. So much involved with hormones, you really have to get it all right to feel great.
This is such a simple yet one of the most solid collections of advice regarding depression.
Tony Robbins talks about how our physiology affects our mood and how jumping around and moving breaks negative mental patterns.
There’s so much nonsense with mainstream psychology regarding depression where the real answer is just to “get up, get moving, and stop being a baby.”
Motion creates emotion. Sure, we all vary in our emotions throughout the day and year. This is natural. We just need to build our momentum back up.
One of the things that I do with my social time is run groups of men that go out and build an awesome social network. I’m always amazed though at the amount of feminine traits and whiny-ness that persists these days.
I find myself telling some dudes “Stop being a baby. If you like that girl over there just go over and say something. Winning starts with beginning.”
Thanks for the posts, I look forward to the new book and I really enjoy the youtube vids you’ve done so far.
Keep em coming.
All the best,
D
Thanks Derek.
You’re currently in Vegas? Hope I can come across you someday.
I feel like when I am depressed, I do the opposite, express.
Depression depresses you’re energy which basically means your personality is being forcefully shutdown.
So why not do the opposite? Letting out your feeling on paper, with music, or yelling are some forms of expression.
Just my experience in quickly overcoming bouts of depression
OMG!!! Buddy u are amazing!!!!!
But if I choose to be depressed, then I can choose not to be depressed?
I can choose to be a champion and to feel happy!
Maybe it’s all in my head.
And if it is…then I can change it!
Maybe I feel down because I do nothing all day.
And then I choose to be weak by letting those feelings prevent me from doing what I need to feel better.
But I can ignore the feelings, do what I need to and then see my feelings change.
