A lot of people make money just by being themselves.
The way that they make money is very simple:
- They create content and upload it online.
- Their audience consumes that content.
- The content producers make money from advertisements, selling their books or products.
It's as easy as that and the startup costs are lower than any other businesses startup costs in the entire world.
I know because I'm one of those people and I know that anyone can do a version of what I do (make money by being you).
Why doesn't everyone do that, now that the technology is freely available?
Most people think they cannot do it. They think you have to be someone special or do something special.
Which is incorrect, you do not have to be special. You simply have to be someone people like or hate or you have to be informative.
It isn't 1965. Old rules don't apply.
The world is making money online and if you aren't, you're way behind.
Because the world is online, so is the money. Where people go, money follows.
Average Joe spends his time consuming content (YouTube videos, blog articles, podcasts, social media etc).
Above average Joe sees this and takes advantage of the opportunity by producing the very content that average Joe consumes.
That's the get rich open secret that no one knows - you are the content producer, you are the new media, there are no barriers to entry now.
By making the online content that average Joe consumes, Above-Average Joe can get wealthy.
All Average-Joe needs to do is flip a switch in his brain and say “from now on I will be a content producer, not just a content consumer”.
If you don't believe me, here's a video of a kid in Sweden called PewDiePie.
PewDiePie makes 7+ million USD per year by posting videos on YouTube, being himself and talking about video games.
I know what you're thinking…
“Boo hoo. That guy is dumb and I'm better than him! Why am I making 40k per year and he's making 7+ million? It's not fair! I worked so hard to go to college and get this job and he's just slacking off!”
Let's all stop crying about fair and learn how to take action.
Anyone with a personality and a message can do what PewDiePie does. Here's how…
The 7 Steps to Making Money by Being Yourself
1) Know who you are, know what you want to say, have a message or have a personality.
It should go without saying, but it won't - you need something to say.
I cannot tell you what your message is, that's up to you.
If you don't have a message, you will not make money by being yourself.
2) Know that jobs are the worst way to make money
You must know that jobs are a waste of time to make big money LONG TERM.
We have all been conditioned to believe that jobs are the way to make money.
That was true even 15 years ago, but it isn't true today.
Internet is life.
You are on the internet right now reading this article.
Walk outside and look at what each person is doing. They are all glued to their smart phones. They are all addicted to someone's content.
Why can't it be your content that people are reading/watching/listening to?
You could be working instead of reading, but because you are reading instead of working I am making money and you aren't.
Work a job to survive - do not work a job to thrive.
You take a job if you need money now, you don't take a job to live your life.
Life should be free, and thanks to the internet you can be free.
Getting a job today is a stupid idea when there is so much money and freedom to be had just by being yourself.
A job limits you to X amount per year. Working for yourself doesn't limit you at all.
You can make as much money online as you want.
3) Online is the answer. There’s so much money online
It must be said repeatedly - internet is where the money is.
Even if you need to work a job to support yourself until you make internet money.
If you ain't online then you ain't making money.
How to make money online by being yourself?
There are 4 avenues:
Those are your 4 ways to make money by being yourself.
PedDiePie makes 7 million per year from his YouTube videos.
Joe Rogan makes a fortune from his podcast.
There is one thing we all have in common…
4) Create content consistently.
You must release consistent content.
Consistency is key.
Cliche?
Don't make me laugh.
There are no secrets to success.
“Consistency is key” is cliche for a reason - because it works.
People have to know you, they have to know what you’re about.
Have something to say, of course. Have a message, of course.
And then get that message out to your people.
The only way they will ever get to know you is by you consistently creating content and telling them what you're about.
Bold and Determined has been online for 5 years.
That means my message has been spreading for 5 years.
What have you been doing consistently for the last 5 years to make money for yourself?
5) Own your name. Own your name. Own your name.
You should be the provider of information about yourself.
Your reputation is in your hands and you need to own your websites and social media accounts.
You have to spread your information and content and you have to spread it through your name/brand.
Use BADNET and register yourself online immediately.
With BADNET you get:
- A free domain name (own your own name! Own your own brand!)
- 4 free reports issued by Bold and Determined holdings showing you how to make money from a blog
- A ready-to-go website that you can publish content to immediately

Use BADNET and your website will be ready to go ASAP. You don't have to do any work.
6) Now that you own your own name, become your own media.
Do not rely on the mainstream media to get your message out.
Your message will be delivered via book, blog, podcast or video.
You are your own publisher now.
Thanks to the internet, you have no need for attention from mainstream media.
In fact, mainstream media is dying and digital media is thriving.
Your message can be delivered faster than ever before, and even more importantly -
Your message can be delivered in your exact words.
Now, you are your own celebrity - even if you're just a nobody.
But I have news for you - everybody is really just a nobody.
The difference is in action and belief - not in blood and genetics.
Some people simply work more, believe more and do more to achieve more.
Which brings us to number 7…
7) Always be on. There are no “off” days from yourself.
If you want to make money by being yourself then forget about off days.
Your life is now your work.
There is no work/life balance.
There is work and there is work and nothing else. Your life is now work.
Consistency is key - so always be on.
You cannot take a break from being you.
Always on, always you, all of the time.
Always be looking for and working on the next piece of content.
Idea + Consistent Content = Profit
Just add coffee and get to work.
Until next time.
Your man,
-Victor Pride
PS - Don't forget to own your own name. Get started at BADNET right away!

I enjoyed this post/video a lot Victor. My site hit 1 year earlier this month and things are really going well. I’ve been putting out videos on YouTube as I am using my face and real name now.
I’ve received several emails about when I would be releasing a book. But I am in no hurry as there are more things that I want to do before putting that out.
I have been doing all of the things that you mentioned above which means that success really does come to those who put in the work.
Thank you.
PS: If you are on the East Coast around January/February you should check out Charleston, SC. Good places for videos as well as interesting history (if you are into that). I could give you a full tour of the city.
I like your site. It has a nice tone: bold but humble. I wish you success. I saw that you use your real name now, good for you. I liked the part about your being a human being. It’s refreshing.
Your site could use a little bit of polishing though. Would be happy to hop on a call and give you some free pointers. Digital content is what I do best.
Cheers,
D/C
Thank you Russ. Shoot me over an email.
Nice blog, I like how you reviewed the red coffee. Gained a new sub!
Thank you Roman. I am look forward to seeing you around.
Yes Victor and Chris put together a great product.
Thank you Dylan.
Your welcome Victor. People here at B&D don’t fully realize the amount of work you have put into all of this. You have literally saved them hundreds of hours of wasted time.
I like your blog Dylan. It is really unique how you come across. You have a style that is very approachable and friendship quality. And as for Vic, yes he is correct as usual. I am currently working on all four of his internet topics as well. Continued and much success to the both of you and all the brothers here.
Thank you IAAM. Just saw your comment. Glad to see that you’re still online.
Really I’am impressed Vic, your are uploading now many videos on youtube. Keep the good work.
Thank you Rachid.
Hey Victor,
Thanks for posting this video it is very well timely.
Nice work moving towards youtube! YouTube is going to be a huge avenue income for you and your viewers will absolutely love you :)
To even greater success,
Gerardo Morillo
Thank you Gerardo.
Maybe it’s the fasted coffee, but I’m so pumped after reading this post I could punch a hole in a wall.
I’ll probably just relax though and settle for doing a Youtube video today.
Also, keep up the good work on those videos Vic.
I love watching them and can’t wait to see more.
I personally would like to see some opinion videos and rants, not sure if it’s your style, but I like watching those.
I also like watching videos where the youtuber tells a story about their life and some insight they grabbed from it.
Anyway not trying to tell you what to do, just giving you some feedback on content I enjoy.
I mean if that no personality Christian Guzman can blow up, fuckin guy is boring as shit, I know you can blow up.
Save that anger and channel it in a way that meets your goals, comrade.
My man.
Putting yourself out there can be a risk.
If you live in a small town and show comedy for example.
People will fuck with you….
PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
IF that’s where you live you have two solutions:
1) Don’t give a crap
2) Move.
People will always f- with you, and the more you’re successful the more they will do it.
Look at all the Bernie followers: for them someone who’s making money and is working hard is a capital sinner.
1) Write a blog -> Done. Still at the beginning, but it’s there; there’s some content, and more to follow. Big thanks to Victor and his readers.
2) Write books -> In the pipe. It will take a little bit, but I am already doing the research already. I expect to write down an outline and a rough draft by end of January. As writer Kevin J. Anderson (Dune books) says there’s only one way to write a book: “put your butt on the chair, and write.”
3) Make YouTube videos -> Undecided due to thick foreign accent, and me not being a great “stage” personality. Going to Toastmasters to improve on this.
4) Do a podcast. -> See above. Thick accent might put listeners off.
Your accent won’t put people off. Arnold’s accent didn’t hurt his career.
Just do it.
Great post Victor.
Everyone has a unique voice, but the separator between those who go all out and those who only have one foot in are willpower, energy, and “momentum” as Mike puts it.
It’s a process, but a useless one without consistency and vision.
-Axel
Thank you Axel.
If barriers of entry are low then competition is high, either follow greener pastures or ramp up the quality of your product, service, etc to outdo your competition. That can take years of course.
Your advise of consistent output is good though because that’s how you improve over time, by just fucking doing.
Regarding this:
Know that jobs are the worst way to make money
You must know that jobs are a waste of time to make big money LONG TERM.
We have all been conditioned to believe that jobs are the way to make money.
That was true even 15 years ago, but it isn’t true today.
Internet is life.
15 years ago businesses were not the way to make money? higher entry barriers sure, thats a good thing. No 5 minute yelling at your webcam and uploading shit to youtube.
My biggest issue is this:
Know who you are, know what you want to say, have a message or have a personality.
It should go without saying, but it won’t – you need something to say.
I cannot tell you what your message is, that’s up to you.
If you don’t have a message, you will not make money by being yourself.
U make money by giving people what they need or want. If your youtube channel content just doesn’t fulfill a want or a need then how are you going to make money? even with a winning personality?
Yes im using millionaire fastlane book as a reference, that book is the goddamn bible.
You’re always addressing some kind of need, even if you can’t pinpoint it. The content you provide may fall under a broad need like “entertainment” or “inspiration”.
And sometimes, you have to create the need. Or, to be more precise, identify a need that people aren’t aware of. No one told PewDiePie to do what he did, he just went on and did it. After that, people became addicted and the rest is history. Give people what they never knew they wanted, make them feel like they can’t go back to a life where your content doesn’t exist.
“If your youtube channel content just doesn’t fulfill a want or a need then how are you going to make money?”
You won’t. But maybe you are forgetting that people want entertainment. You don’t need to be a teacher always, just be fun to watch.
Yea yea entertainment is huge i know, i actually make game apps for smartphones, trying to go viral.
Ive learned so far that financial success is elusive so just be patient and trust the process.
Pewdiepie makes it look easy but his method evolved over years.
U dont really emphasize the time aspect of success in ur article except for when u mention ur 5 years once.
The years of work is the hardest pill to swallow for people, and in my opinion entertainment is one of the toughest industries to make money fast since u have to make people want to consume what u create and that can take a long time as u slowly improve the quality of ur work.
How about I fucking said YOU WON’T MAKE A DIME FOR A YEAR in the video? I say it repeatedly, you just don’t hear it.
Hah aiight. I read article, didn’t watch the video.
You: Victor, you never say it takes a long time!
Me: Yes, I do I said it in the vi…
You: I WANT IT NOW!!
can i get a free copy of boas?
“entertainment is one of the toughest industries to make money fast since u have to make people want to consume what u create and that can take a long time as u slowly improve the quality of ur work.”
Take Star Wars for example. I don’t know how long the creator of star wars took to make it big but I hear that name all the time around me even with my ear plugged in public. Apparently that is entertainment to *some* people. I guess that “quality of work” is subjective.
I personally wouldn’t call star wars a “quality of work” for example and not that I care to see any Hollywood movies because they are waste of time but it’s popular among average masses.
About a week ago, one of my “buddy” who wishes to be an entrepreneur was complaining how hates being stuck in the traffic and was thinking about star wars movie and he was all excited to go see it on the weekend.
I immediately asked him if he knew who the director was (J.J. Abrams) and told him to google that name. Once he did, he “regret” paying for it but still said the movie was worth watching and at the same time complaining about how he didn’t have time to workout.
I immediately deleted his number off my contact list and put his number on Block list.
Absolutely, I’d say the most popular and successful channels are people who just entertain the viewers.
The is the best article I’ve ever read on how to make tons of internet money with almost zero start-up cost, what you’ve done Vic is layout an exact blueprint that people can plug their own likes and personalities into to become successful in business, and if they can’t do it with this then they never will. Fucking fantastic stuff!
Been a fan for a while and you have helped me make some important distinctions that have
helped me over the years.
Tony Robbins teaches a technique called “modelling” in which you learn the “recipe” from
the people who have already achieved a high level of success which shortcuts your learning / success
timeline by a huge factor… why not learn from the masters, avoid common mistakes, etc… ?
So thank you for sharing your “recipes” at a VERY reasonable price and I know you have helped countless entrepreneurs. I think what makes you so popular is your authenticity and value that you give.
Peace.
Thank you Andy.
Does a job always suck? What if it’s something like being an engineer and you like it?
I am. Worked in network security for one of the biggest world telcos
Good wage, even better time schedule, plenty of money and resources, easy to ask for paid online/offline courses, etc
But at a given point, you want to do things YOUR way and YOUR style with YOUR rules
Unless your job is something non existent out of companies/gov’t …the way to go is crystal clear
Example; you want to be firefighter, police officer, judge or a navy seal…OK, just be one of them
Nah, if you like it - keep it!
Pierre-Marc, one of my best mates is an engineer. He loves his work but he has a side project in the works. I think you should follow his lead: Keep tapping away at your engineering career, but always have stuff going on on the side. You gotta stay hungry.
All very good points, being laser focused is key. Depending on what you are trying to sell it may take months before you develop any following or any cash flow. Many drop out or get discouraged just before they even see any success and let things slide. Make sure you keep track of your site’s statistics daily, monitor for your most popular content, find out where you traffic is coming in, how they found you. I’ve unless you have huge traffic, developing your own product ( You being a product/brand) and selling it is the way to go over affiliate marketing.
Great points Mike.
All solid information. I do not like using my face or real name though, so I have to find a way to succeed regardless of these facts.
I recently wrote an article about the perks to having one’s own site, but you beat me to the trough and have a larger one as well.
On my way to fulfill all points. Starting to translate from our original Spanish to English and French.
I started my blog earlier this year through BADNET. I highly recommend it. If it wasn’t for Vic and his team, I probably never would have started seriously blogging. I had a blogger account before, but because I wasn’t paying for it, I would only write when I felt like it. There is something about paying for your website that makes it serious. When you pay for it, you are making a decision to go pro.
Now, it is not just a hobby. I write everyday. The traffic to my blog is growing every month. But Victor is telling the truth when he says that it takes consistency. I’ve been averaging at least one post per week. It also requires living consistently with your message. I can’t write about a lifestyle that I am not living everyday.
The information that BADNET provides is extremely helpful in getting started. It would have taken me months to gather this information on my own. And the BADNET team even answered some of my initial set up questions.
If you are thinking about taking the plunge into serious blogging, BADNET is the way to go.
Thank you Michael.
This article was a great push in the direction. I’m starting to work on my website again and this was just what I needed to hear! Time to start writing some articles!
hey vic. Thanks a lot for this article. I am 17 years old, living in kenya and recently cleared high school. I love your articles very much. I believe that i am having a headstart due to my young age and i know that i have some ass to kick now. This blog has transformed me.
Once again, Thank you.
Thank you Denis.
Great article. I feel like there are other ways to make money online being yourself than the four you just mentioned. In fact, there’s probably unlimited.
I really enjoyed that video you posted about PewDiePie. He’s hilarious. Nice work, PDP. And thanks, Vic, for trying to bring people up with your work.
Best,
D/C
Thank you D/C.
I fucking love consistent B&D content. It’ll light your ass on fire guaranteed.
Thank you C.
Victor,
Correct me if I’m wrong. It seems to me that your strategy for success has been to patiently and gradually build up and audience and name bit by bit by bit. You started gradually with your blog, you only sold ebook a couple of years in, you only started selling hostage and t-shirts later. And now youtube.
Most guys these days have zero patience which is why they get nowhere. They want their money right the fuck now. Well, money (I’m talking real BIG money) is for patient men who think.
This is the greatest lesson I have learnt from you so far. I hope others do too.
Peace,
Shaun
That’s correct Shaun. Slow and steady patience.
Check out Ben Settle Vic, he’s one of the best around at this. Think you’ll like him..
Hi Victor,
As always, sharp and no bullshit talk. Straight to the point without any confusing ideas, It’s a MAN to MAN talk.
These first years of online boom are the best, We don’t know in a decade how it will be, maybe it will be monopolized, under restrictive law, or with entry barriers, we are only sure about what happens today and that’s what matters the most.
The first to come and invest Online will be well served. there is no time for only thinking, but mostly ACTING!
You took BAD to whole new level, and by the way you are more charismatic on videos, which is good for both:your business and the people who follow you.
All the support !
Thank you Magnus.
Great article and video as always Victor, thank you!
Also, your teeth are really white, looks good (no homo).
Thank you Steven.
I am trying all those things Victor. Despite my slow start I feel it was worth it to write a book and start producing online content. I have a lot of ideas for blog essays now that I have scratched together the basic blog. Figuring out how to set up the blog and all that was a bit of work but with my software background was able to plow through it. Offering a service for that would appeal to guys who just want to get going with minimal hassles. I would consider paying someone a fee to do the SEO work for me as it’s just one more detail I don’t feel like taking on. My time has some value.
It will take long term marketing effort to get some traction on my Employment Game book, so am offering it today for free download from Amazon. If you miss this chance I will offer it 4 more times in the next few months. You can find the download link through : employmentgame.wordpress.com
I have written a few essays and am trying to keep it high quality. My most recent post attempts to provide young women insight into making rational decisions over children and career. My advice to them and somewhat similar to what you are saying, is that they can always get a job. With the internet the opportunities are boundless yet feminists keep pushing outdated work models on impressionable women.
“Girls! The Work-Life Balance Plan the Feminists Don’t Want You to Know”
http://wp.me/p6QFjS-3B
And I always have said “No one gives you work-life balance. You take it.”
I finally did it. After being a long time reader and lurker of a few great blogs, I made the decision last week to start my own. Noticing a niche in the “manosphere” not being filled I decided to take some action and make a blog to fill it..
I used Badnet and have to say you guys were quick and professional. Thanks.
My first post will be put out shortly.
For anyone who says they don’t have time , I say quit with the excuses. I run a full time “brick and mortar” business, along with another part time business that invests in real estate.
Anyone with enough ambition can find the time to get a blog up and running.
My man.
Hey Victor,
Great article + video. I love your format — year 1, 2, and 3. I’m going to start doing a video a day myself. You’ve inspired me!
How do you like the idea of posting the video in your sidebar and updating it every day. Calling it “Video of the Day”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3EN-iigEx0
I am going to try that and see how it works.
Going to retweet this article now!
Cheers,
Ben
Thanks Ben. I don’t love videos in the sidebar, it’s too small of an area for my tastes. We’ll see though.
Victor. I’ve been working on a blog post for a few days now regarding blogging fundamentals.
When talking consistency, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not only important to deliver content on a regular basis but it’s also highly important to deliver CHARACTER through each and every article you write. There are so many shit blogs that ignore this fundamental and don’t attract repeat readers or word of mouth referrals. Those blogs have to buy their traffic or hire (buy) teams of social media people to promote their crap. Then there are blogs like yours that deliver huge amounts of character in each post that keep people coming back. I’d imagine your blog gets a lot of direct traffic.
Keep on inspiring.
- JR
Thanks JR.
Yes consistency is key importance of success. You must show up, be obsessed and never give up. I can give example of this when I applied this long time ago when I was at young kid age.
Swimming, doing cartwheels, Riding a bike, rollerblading, juggling (three balls)… Some of them seem silly but those were what I wanted to learn when I was at a young age. I was able to learn all with *consistency* via trial and error.
Scraped my knees, hurt my body, failed many times, broke my finger, face planted, bruises, drowned and almost died…. but at the end, learned them all just by consistency and never giving up.
One important skills I would recommend for anyone (and this will really help with your life). Have a good sales skills (people skills). I know this is stated many times and has been said but put a lot of emphasis on this. Everything is sales if you think about it. The way you are, the way you talk, present yourself, the way people judge you. You got to be at the best of yourself every single day. This goes with anything. If you have this mindset and you present yourself at the best version, it will show with your work. Opportunity is everywhere; you got to go for it instead of waiting for it.
Reputation goes long way. Word of mouth. If you present a great product and the product/service has a value and there is a demand for it, people will come to you. And if you treat them right as well as giving them great product/service they need; they will tell their friends about it. And soon you will see money coming in. Everything you do should have quality. Don’t do half-ass job on your own work because it’s going to show people that you are half-ass person. Do right from start to finish.
If you are a man of words, you will differentiate yourself among the masses and you will be ahead of the game. Be a man of you words. Every time you learn something new, you must apply it or other wise it’s going to be useless. Learn and apply.
And most importantly when you ask someone for an advice, you better be ready to take the advice, actually apply it and preferably report it back to them showing them the results. Most people ask for advice and never take it. Successful people don’t want to waste time. I had a friend who asked me advice all the time but never took single one. I don’t bother anyone; the dude asks for advice, I just reply “I don’t know” less headache for me. And if you don’t know something just admit it and say you don’t know. Trying to pull shit out of your ass and talk something you are not even sure of is quickly going to make you lose credibility and some people can smell bullshit.
Be prepared to learn and never reveal your net worth to anyone (even to your own family members). This is my opinion though.
Well god damn TS, what a great comment.
“If you are a man of words, you will differentiate yourself among the masses and you will be ahead of the game. Be a man of you words. Every time you learn something new, you must apply it or other wise it’s going to be useless. Learn and apply.”
Words to live by.
Thanks for the heads up, Ben Brewer.
Yes, I always know there is a value to someone who is consistent with words and action (someone who keeps their promise).
I rarely meet those type of people but when I do, I always try to keep them in my contact list. Action takers and people who hold weights to what they say. Anybody can say anything in this world. Above-average people carry out and back up what they say. They just do it, instead of just merely saying it. This is useful especially to someone who wants to be a successful salesman/businessman. It’s also a masculine value to have.
i.e.
Everybody “wants” to be rich; only few will. Those “few” are the ones who take action instead of just waiting. The ones who knows how to use their time in most effective way. Everybody has time. Time is the most valuable asset. Everybody age. You can make money and lose money, gain back the money but once you lose time; that’s it. $8/hr? $16/hr? No thanks man. No price tag on my head and on my soul.
Knowing the difference between value and price.
Get paid based on your work not your time. If you think logically, all that (in the real world) makes sense. Most people are emotional (even including me), but the key point is knowing when to arouse and use that emotion. It can either hurt you or help you. Know thy oneself first before trying to know others.
I’ve been making some money selling things on eBay. It’s not as easy as it used to be but there are ways. it’s suggested to specialize in a niche that you’re good at and get one of their online stores. I mainly focus on rare books (low shipping costs, easy transaction.) I tried musical instruments a while back but they are more trouble than they’re worth … shipping costs kill any profit, and the chance for damage in transit is too high, not to mention buyers complaining about the tiniest imperfections.
I have a couple of ebooks on Amazon too. I think I’m going to focus more on that angle. Advertising via Twitter and FB and Google somewhat.
BEST. SITE. EVER.
Victor, I remember you saying that when reading blogs or watching videos, people generally don’t want to hear from someone that is on a “journey of self discovery” or something like that. They want to hear from an authority. I agree with this and I often think that I need read, research and study a lot in order to come up with interesting material to write about.
I’m not a doctor or a UFC fighter or really any sort of authority in any field although I am a pretty decent writer and speaker. Any advice for someone like me seeking to build his brand and always have new/interesting content?
As always thank you for your amazing work.
Who cares what I say? Write about your process if that’s all you have.
Understood. Thanks brother.
Vic,
Do u and u r team help individuals get started and or offer coaching?
Thanks,
Tim
Hi Tim, no coaching (read the blog for free) but my team does set up a blog for you at http://badnet.com
I knew B&D on Jan this year,I have read all articles and Vic you’re GREAT.You’ve changed lives of many young men globally.Do you have many readers from africa?I read B&D in E.Africa Kenya
Hi Allan, B&D has a lot of readers from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
Wow it just goes to show you the power of internet. Being able to reach to people from all over the continents. It still amazes me to this day.
That means even if fraction of 1 percent of the whole population of the world was to buy your product, you be rich in no time.
Just what I needed once again uncle Vic, thanks for writing!
This line hit me hard…
“Work a job to survive – do not work a job to thrive.”
No one can deny the fact humans still need to pay for food, rent, bills, etc. but while you are working a job you hate, or even love but know there is something more you can provide to the world… start cultivating something bigger, and better that has the potential for a large cash flow.
Consumers < Producers
Thanks Poyan.
Will this guide work for selling music online? Or would it be better to go with other products instead?
Yes, works with any product.
Vic, you just unlocked the writer in me. Thank you.
I’m thinking too hard about the name for my website but by this Friday I will have a name and I’m going to start a blog. I can’t wait to get my message out to the world.
Thanks Wes.
“There is no work/life balance”, I think this is important for any entrepreneur or anyone who wants to be a success later in life. I always think of my grandpa (R.I.P) who was the only one who taught me the value of hard work. He used to work at a job for 60+ hours(even though he didn’t need to) and when he came home he fixed his house. He flipped homes and was always finding new projects to improve the value of his homes. He brought home the money and my grandma cooked and cleaned, they were both extremely happy in their life.
All the crybabies who talk about their 50 hour “workweek” always make me laugh. As if these people have ever worked in their entire lives, they consider being at their job as the same as “work”. 50 hour work week? My grandpa would work 50+ hours in 4 days, maybe less. He got the same comfort from doing work that most people get from being lazy. If he was sitting for more than an hour he was uncomfortable, only when his body started breaking down at 80 did he start getting “lazy”. I say “lazy” loosely because he worked more with a frail body than most people with a 25 year old body.
I’m just ashamed it took me years to fully internalize his message.
Also, please do an article about that, “50 hour work week crybabies, say hello to the 100+ hour workweek”.
Thank you and best of luck
Hi Preston, here’s an article called the 80 Hour Work Week https://boldanddeterminedarchive.com/80-hour-work-week/
I’ve worked 80-100 hours a week for the last 1,5 year and went traveling for 5 months in china, vietnam, thailand and Philipines.
Now I should learn to do more proactive work, to do the important things first and build the income before thinking about traveling.
Building facebook pages, starting to blog, and starting a rental-listing site.
Great article Vic, i’ve started making some videos for release on youtube and i’ve gotta say this article was an immediate inspiration.
Great advice to come about right at December time when people tend to self evaluate a lot.
Very helpful stuff
Thank you.
Been following for a while and the more i read these articles, the more inspired i become.
Once i sign up with badnet and develop my site with lots of great content, what is the process for getting this content in front of a large group of people? I recognize that this question cannot be answered in a two sentence response but none the less, I am concerned that merely developing a new site is a fraction of what is required.
Thanks so much,
Dave
Great video and advice! I am implementing these on my own channel. Thanks!
Nice to see you doing videos, Vic.
Been doing them myself. Recently finished a 3-month keyboard challenge, documented the whole thing.
I’m going to offer a challenge to all who dare - let’s pick a random instrument you and I can’t play, and see who can make the most progress in 3 months, starting from nothing (not even owning it).
If anyone wants to duel me on this, shoot me a message.
And be yourself ya bastards, use a different look and feel than B&D!
Nice challenge, I’d watch that.
Hey Victor
What’s your thoughts on Hong Kong and raising kids there?
I met a girl from HK who was studying here in San Diego
Just recently went to HK and have to admit I didn’t like it at all
No sense of leisure, everybody looking at a goddamn phone, no smiles, everybody walking fast to go to work/school, malls everywhere, all of this even more extreme than the US plus ofcourse the stultifying size of the living quarters. I’m only 5foot7inches and I can’t even extend my wingspan fully!
It was the first time I’ve ever returned from another country back to the US and been proud of at least some things here…
What are YOUR thoughts on Hong Kong?
HK is a place to go and make money, not a place to raise a family.
Interesting. What could a whitey do specifically there to make money?
Get a job perhaps?
That’s a great encouragement! Most people think they have to fake something to make money – in particual big money.
Hey Uncle Vic,
I just wanted to say that while I do agree with your advice (in previous articles) that for a LOT of people, college is a total waste of time and money if they go to a no-name university or major in something useless, I still think it’s worth it for some people if they get into a PRESTIGIOUS university and major in something actually USEFUL and LUCRATIVE (a.k.a. something in STEM).
I attend a very prestigious university, and I first majored in something completely useless (Political Science), but thanks to you Uncle Vic, I snapped to my senses and switched my major to one that involves Engineering. Now my life won’t be as screwed as if I didn’t heed your advice.
HOWEVER, there was a period of time I almost dropped out of my university after reading so much from you saying that college is total bullshit. I felt like I was wasting time. However I realized your advice is mainly for people who are majoring in useless shit, or attend no-name universities. I realized I’m fortunate to have this opportunity, and I shouldn’t squander it. I ALMOST dropped out with tons of debt, and no degree to show for it. I realize that if I have this debt, might as well finish my degree and at least make that debt worth it.
I’ll graduate and finish my degree so that I can have the benefits from graduating, but I’m always aiming towards ENTREPRENEURSHIP first. Being in college is great for entrepreneurship as well from my experience. It’s great meeting potential co-founders and having easy access to networks and funding.
Just wanted to comment to let other die-hard readers know that there IS value to finishing your degree ONLY IF you attend a prestigious university and you’re majoring in something STEM.
IF NOT, THEN DON’T GO TO COLLEGE. It’s not worth it. Getting a degree in History or Psychology from some no-name state university will leave you worse off than someone who didn’t even go to college. At least that person has no debt.
Victor,
I read this, watched the video, took action, used BADNET and registered my name online immediately.
My video blog is online, as well as on YouTube.
***Do you have any advice for my site?
I’m not very technical but im learning as i go.
Thanks man
- Mike
P.S. - Any other readers of B&D feel free to chime in as well - still learning this online stuff! haha
Hey Michael, I had a look at your site, there are a few details you need to take care of in order to look more professional, here what I observed:
1) Remove the period from the tagline under the site’s name. No periods in titles or taglines.
2) In the post headlines, the words between parentheses should have their first letters capitalized.
3) Take your time to look for pictures with a higher resolution. Never resort to pixelated images, they look messy and amateurish. If you find something good looking and it’s not for free use, just give credits to the source.
4) It’s be cool if you found a nice picture to use as a site header (the large place where the site name is displayed).
Hope that helps.
did you used to own mrveins dot com like last year?
yeah man i decided to make a new site using my real name and pour everything into it -
kinda like mrveins 2.0 hahaha

Victor, this is one of my favorite articles. Each sentence hits me like a hammer and I keep asking for more.
Consistency is king. When it falls down, it’s a disaster that must be reversed. The days pass quickly anyway, might as well do something productive out of them, instead of lamenting later on time lost. I’ve been working on my site for the past months and even if I wasn’t as productive as I could have been, I still have noticed a slight increase in traffic. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. The road to success is not easy but I wouldn’t have it any other way; a life with no challenges wouldn’t have much meaning.
Great video by the way, I love how you got intense at the end. No BS allowed.
The YouTube route is one I plan to venture onto. My current speaking level doesn’t allow for an acceptable quality, so I should work on it-scratch that, I WILL record myself speaking every day, starting tonight. No progress without practice.
Time to work my ass off.
Exactly one year ago I found Bold&Determined. I am not sure how it happened, I guess I randomly clicked on some article or ended up here from a Google Search.
It doesn’t matter though. What matters is what happened afterwards!
I started reading the posts. The way I think started to change. A desire started being formed inside me.
My brain thought of something: What if there is more? What if it’s possible?
Right at this moment, I am writing this message from a wonderful apartment in Milan, Italy. I am on the 7th floor and can clearly see the Duomo from my balcony. The view is totally captivating, especially at night!
I will stay here for three more days to have fun, eat lots of pizzas and enjoy the city to the utmost.
I will be somewhere else in January, and somewhere else in February. And somewhere else in the following months.
Victor, I can’t really thank you enough for what you’ve done.
In the last 9 months - I have put tremendous amount of work in. I have taken risks. I struggled a bit in the beginning.
Everything I can do now and everything I will accomplish in the future is and will be the outcome of my own actions, decisions and effort.
Yet, you have done something else for me that is even more important!
You sparked that desire for more.
You made me think that there was more than living with 200$ of pocket-money per month, blaming the cricis, my parents and compromising with less than I could do…
All it needed was ONE thought. That thought was created the last December.
I can’t really thank you enough for that. It’s something so small, yet it made a HUGE difference.
I could probably write a lot more.
But at this moment I want to go out and enjoy my vacation. Yesterday, when I was at the airport I couldn’t believe it was true. But it was!
Thanks for one more time Victor - and be good!
-Damian
I am happy for you.
This is a terrific article, Victor. A blog of your own is more fulfilling than a job can ever be.
This is great. I agree working a job is the worst way to make money. Creating your own content is a great way to generate income. This is a great look at how to do that.
People may say that PewDiePie guy is an idiot, but he’s obviously doing something right to make 7+ Million a year from Youtube… Hola at ya boy
I definitely took this article to heart and started my auto repair shops you tube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTu6CwRWjjWWVsBHr0eo6pQ
one video a day for a year!
Looking forward to seeing all your videos Vic. Lets get this You tube money!
Nestor -
- you look great on video bro, lot of confident in talking about cars my man (i know nothing about cars, just about gym/partying/sex haha)
Check out my new Video blog , also took Vic’s advice to heart.
Shoutout to Victor Pride if you’re reading this —-
—- definitely motivating us out here!

Ok lost that last post due to ffs fat finger syndrome. Love the content material. Found you on Coffee With Dan. Looking forward to seeing future posts. Have a incredible week brother
I live in a rural area where everyone is either REALLY sour about bad luck or really cocky about good luck, depending on who they know and what talents and resources they possess(and most are delusional about these things to begin with). Online it’s different; online anyone can have their voice, however small it starts out as, and have it be heard by all those it reaches and are receptive to it. The more I think about it,.the more amazing it is. Thanks for the boost Vic and I agree. You should have been on youtube from the beginning. Your “better beef body” video is a work of art. I’d like to see more like that.
Oh, and how’s New Age Ronin coming along? Release date?
The problem with relying on “being yourself” as your selling point is that you have to actually be likable. I mean like, particularly likable.
You can see examples of this on twitch.tv. The most popular streamers on there are the most likable people, and then there are millions of other unpopular streamers who do exactly what the popular people do, but they just don’t have that “likability factor”. Not that they’re mean or bad people, they just don’t have that outgoing, likable personality that’s required to be liked for “just being you”.
I just don’t want people to get their hopes up thinking that they can just start talking into a camera and people will automatically flock to them to listen to what they have to say.
You are correct.
The theory is that they will be likeable if they have a message that is important and/or cogent.
Their likeability will go up if they are delivering a message they are passionate about because they are living that message.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
Este Cabron sabe lo que dice, coincido con Pride… saludos a todos los Machos.
Vic, this article is true to some extent, but there are tons of cases in which people follow their passion and they still ain’t making millions and most of the time are collecting scraps. There’s a LOT of luck to this as well
Peter, there is no luck.
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.
I am hugely passionate about some things, and collect scraps or nothing, because I have not put in the work .
Work, meaningful work; separates the successful from the unsuccessful.
I’ve been trying to figure it out for some time: How to earn shitload of money without being a slave to a company/boss/whatever?
Then I started overthinking and my 1st business (I used to be a freelance translator) crmbled, I was left with debts, depression, sbstance abuse and whatnot. Still have some debts, but I’m on my way up & ready to kick ass.
This article just helped me to reimagine my future and answer the question above.
Overthinking is a bitch; loooks like the best answers are outlined in 7 no-bullshit paragraphs.
Thanks, Vic, hope to see you in Valhalla some stormy day!
I spotted your picture on a BBC documentary. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b06s5h18/reggie-yates-extreme-uk-2-men-at-war
Go to 19:20 mins they flash your picture really quick.
They sure do.
Time to play the game!
It’s all about the game and how you play it.
Vic, I have no idea how you’ve been in a foreign country so long. I’ve been in central america for two weeks and its a disaster. Traffic, people, scams, the shittiest roads. Its hard to find quality food because people are so poor that all they fill grocery stores with is cheap, processed crap. Every five minutes somebody is trying to sell me useless junk. And then when I say no, they try to con me into buying it. Fuck this place. I can now fully grasp the pitfalls you’ve mentioned about third-world countries.
I look forward to seeing what you accomplish when you get back to the states. I for one, am never moving out of the USA and only visiting countries where people have money and real roads to navigate on.
196 countries in the world. Not all the same. Some of them even have paved roads and fresh food.
The thing that got me the most was people trying to sell me shit. Its impossible to enjoy a beautiful beach when every few minutes somebodys coming up and trying to hustle you. And none of them are trying to take no for an answer.
I forgot to ask. Who’d you take on Aldo vs Mcgregor? I lost 3k on Aldo…I max bet him when he was +140.
I think from here on out he’ll be a shadow of his former self with the new drug testing.
I took McGregor. Drug testing had zero to do with Aldo losing.
You dont think using steroids for years and years, beating opponent after opponent while on drugs…then not being able to use drugs in the biggest fight of your life isn’t a game changer? You write post after post about the successes that come along with being chemically enhanced and then you dont think that changes any outcome with Aldo?
As a fighter, who has fought and competed and been around guys using and then not using and seeing the difference in them, your absolutely wrong. I would have taken every dime I put on Aldo and put in on Mcgregor the second Jose took his shirt off for weigh-ins. He was no longer the same beast. He never will be.
A) Aldo looked exactly the same. The shit about him being “deflated” is wrong. He was ON, he wasn’t OFF.
B) He was knocked out with the first punch. Gear made no difference in this fight.
Gear makes a difference. It didn’t make a difference in this fight because the fight was so short. Cat Zingano was on gear when she fought Ronda, made no difference at all.
Hey Victor,
I am a huge fan and I loved this article. I have found myself getting jealous of men who are entrepreneurs that I have met, but have this weird sappy outlook on masculinity. I used to intern for free to work with them to get an idea of what an online guru does but eventually the HUGE disconnect in values turned me off of it.
It feels like these guys just make a website, then coach men how to coach other men. Where does it end?
Right now I play poker for a modest living and have started a simple blog but I do not mesh with a lot of ‘mainstream’ ideas. I am a huge fan of you, Mike from D&P ad Chris from GLL. I want to be like you guys with the ‘hardcore’ REAL self improvement. However I am a lost soul at 26 years old and I am not sure what MY message should be. How can I help other men? What experiences make me an expert? You all seem like such geniuses compared to an average guy.
Yet I see mainstream new age ‘woo woo’ coaches sell their time for hundreds of dollars an hour, and I know I am just as equipped as them, if not more so.
I feel like MY message is a combined knowledge of all my experiences and blogs I have used. Is it really my own stuff if its recycled from the best (You, Mike, Chris, etc)?
Hey Vic its Sam I haven’t posted in a long while but I wanted to wish you a merry christmas and congratulate you on your recent success pride castle reminds me of Tony Montana’s house in Scarface I am sincerely happy for you and Ms. Pride. Without your guidance I would never have made it to my goal weight of 200 lbs. of muscle 2 years ago and I would not have a firm grasp of masculine principles such as integrity, courage and pride that I possess today. Many people I have met in the past 3 years have told me that I am a man’s man even though I’m not even rich yet. You showed me the door all I had to do was walk through it. On an unrelated note, I am a gifted musical producer and I recently started a soundcloud channel under the name American Psycho. The damned thing is I didn’t even know I had an ear for making music until 3 days ago. All I did was try. That would never have crossed my mind 3 years ago before I became a B&D disciple. I think my fellow readers will find that my music will get you moving through a tough workout if you are in a slump. Thank you for being everything that a man needs to be and for showing me how to follow the path you found. May your success grow even more in the coming year.
Sincerely,
Sam P
I just listened to Monsters. It sounds good, keep it up.
That’s the plan so far Vic thank you for the support.
Hi Vic,
Your message is Great as always, thx!
Video quality would be better if the background wasn’t shaking for no reason (distracts a bit).
“Always be on. There are no “off” days from yourself.” Sometimes I wish there were!!!!! Great post man I really enjoyed reading through it!
“Always be on. There are no “off” days from yourself.” Sometimes I wish there were!!! Thanks for the post and video man absolutely brilliant!
Victor, this may not mean much to you as you probably get this on the daily but I want to express to you how much I appreciate what you are doing for this world and I think that most people sense that there is a bigger picture unfolding with your articles and the content you produce. I think people find your site and latch onto it because many of us have a fire under our ass but some of us don’t really know what to do with the flames. I found your article about the pussification of modern man and I honestly felt like like my feelings about the subject had finally taken form in your writings and brought be to a level of comfort knowing that I am not the only person that feels like things today are way out of balance. Thank you victor for helping us feel united and that the determined men in the world are not alone. Thank you again sir for all that you do. We appreciate it more than you may know.
This is perhaps one of the best articles on BAD. This article inspires people to grow their own personality, take action, and move forward. This article also makes people consider that working a job for someone else causes no personality growth because when you work for someone else, YOU’RE NOT YOUR OWN BOSS.
Maybe use a pen name while you are still employed or work on projects dependent on the system, so you don’t ruin your livelihood in transition. But great advice.
A dead guy owns my name’s domain .com and the people running it don’t want to give it up. What do you think I should do? change my name?
You know, I have never seen it so plainly puts: create content and upload it online, audience consumes that content & content producers make money from advertisements, selling their books or products. You have just destroyed some big roadblocks in my mind.
I know who I am, and I’m an asshole. I can and will make fun of anyone or any situation. That’s about the best I can come up with. I’m hesitant to do YouTube videos because of my job, I have an online presence. Even a blog in my own name could be really bad for me. Is there anybody who would read an anonymous blog about a guy that’s a huge asshole?
Maybe. I tend not to believe anonymous guys online who brag about being assholes. Those types of guys usually email me “Dear Sir…”.
I wish I had something to say. A message to spread.
This was honestly the blog post that actually propelled me into starting a youtube channel. Slowly but surely I have been building a following talking about sexual energy transmutation and NoFap. I have been reading this blog since 2014 and I wish I would have started back then when I was 19 with making videos.
I feel like I am actually helping other people and doing my service to the world. It feels good. Thanks for creating this material and those who actually listen and heed this message, WILL be successful.
- Anthony
So deceptively simple, no wonder it escapes so many.
Great Blog man, keep up the good work :)
We all know by now that the “just be yourself” is rhetoric from Disney movies. Everyone knows it’s lame advice. What you wanna do is become a version of yourself that is attractive if you wanna go for the chicks init.
As for me, I’m perfectly happy being the completely unlikable piece of shit of a person that I am, so not changing annny time soon.
Victor,
I want to ask you a question about consistency, which you mentioned a couple times. I write novels and I also keep a blog. My blog is sort of about my story since the day I quit my job to pursue writing full-time. I say “sort of” because there are many things I like to talk about. Entrepreneurship and walking away from my desk job has been the crux of of my content. I also give advice on writing and publishing. But I’m also into fitness. Also, I have a lot of leftover personal thoughts and musings that don’t fit into my books that I want to jot down- Those are my favorite things to write, but they are the most unrelated to my other content (and more negative, relatively).
None of these different topics really jibe as one coherent message. Not really. Should I ditch the other parts of me for the sake of consistency? Should I put them all out there? I don’t want to scatter myself across multiple URLs or blogs. How should I go about this?
“Should I ditch the other parts of me for the sake of consistency?”
Depends on the purpose of your blog. Is it for business? Separate the stuff that doesn’t fit.
Is it just for you? Then keep it. If it comes from YOU it’s consistent.
Okay, got it.
Thanks for the quick response!
Thank you so much! ♥
Well I did it. I officially own my name, “alsexton.com”. I don’t know how I will use my new domain nor know its future purpose but at least no one can take it from me. I am still nowhere close to being an authority to start a blog similar to B & D but owning my name is a start. I think my name is simple and memorable too.
Thanks for the push, VP!
Will video game creation work as an avenue?
Gracias , muy buenas tus cosas .Never give Up
I few years ago back in 2014, I had my first blog but I wasn’t doing the right thing on how to properly manage a blog. I wrote content that look interesting to me at the moment but now that I’m meditating, that content doesn’t help no one in any shape or form. I also did have an “About” page….So I wasn’t holding any grasp. My number one mistake was to start a blog and I wasn’t working at all at the time. So I couldn’t run the blog financially which put an end to it. But now I know my mistakes and I’m reconsidering to starting a new blog. but I want to find my own message and how can I enlighten others.
Victor,
Only been reading your blog for a few days now, but I think it’s going to change my fucking life. I’m starting my own blog in 3…2…1…
Can’t wait to keep reading.
Thanks!
Brad
Thanks Mr. Victor for the enlightenment. I need advice on what topic to be written on. I have a Laundry business, can I focus on that? Though am afraid it may be unpopular. Your advise will be appreciated
Everything about this article rings so true, deeply to my core. I strive to live like this , a mobile internet business , spending the time truly living life ,while producing content about my experience and insight. I really have thought about what you said “this is a year straight of working before I make money because I have to build an audience to spread my message to.
I absolutely loved this!!!!!
It was just the inspiration that I needed to get started.
