In this post we will review how to create a fast and easy additional stream of income that is completely automated. To do this you must create an e-book, video or audio series, or something else of value that you can sell. For this article we will assume you are creating an e-book. Relax, it will not be as hard as it sounds.
To create an additional stream of income this way will require an investment of $130 and a monthly investment of about $15. If you don't have the dough for this you can get back to daydreaming. The only thing else required for building an additional income stream is the ability to follow directions, a little creativity, and a little gumption.n
The goal of this is to not create the greatest quality product the world has ever seen, the goal is to get you started making some additional dough. We want this to move fast, fast, fast not slow like a turtle. You should be able to have all of this DONE in 30 days.
Remember your goal is to follow the directions and get this done FAST. As much as it is a way for you to earn some extra income it is also a learning experience for those who have never done internet work and want to start.
Pay attention, because we're going to do this fast and furious like the movie.
Note: If you are unfamiliar with terms like WordPress, google keyword, domains, and hosting then you may want to read The No Bullshit Guide To Making Money Online before you read the rest of this article.
Here are the 10 steps to creating an additional income stream online and fully automated.
Step 1 - Fix a problem.
To make some money online you're going to have to write an e-book. This is the hard part. Everything else on this list is easy, peasy Japaneasy. Simply follow instructions.
Step 1 is the deal-maker or deal-breaker. You've got to fix a problem, and you've got to fix it via the written word. This is where you write an e-book or something similar. Think of all the problems you know how to fix, think of all the knowledge you have and get yourself a notebook and a pen and write all your ideas down. Think long and hard (but not too long) and pick the perfect one for you.
Check the google keyword tool to see how many people are searching for your keyword each month. Let's assume you want to create a product about different types of cheese. We will use the google keyword tool to see how many people are searching for the different types of cheeses.

Here we see that over 12,000 local people have searched for types of cheese and over 2,000 local people have searched for different types of cheese this month. That's a good amount of people and we can feel good about creating a product or website for it.
——————————————-
Note: If you are a terrible writer then you can hire someone from e-lance.com to write the e-book for you. It will cost you more dough, but if you simply cannot write then you have no other options.
The very fast method to creating an ebook:
1) Develop a title and theme of the e-book
2) Create an outline of the e-book
3) Write the e-book following the outline
4) Review and re-write the e-book until perfect
5) Convert the e-book to a PDF file when finished (your word processor will be able to do this for you)
You can use Microsoft Word or a free word processor called Open Office (what I currently use) to create your e-book.
Once you have your idea you can continue to step 2.
Step 2 - Register a domain name.
You will need a domain, or website, name for your product. You will want a .com domain name if at all possible, the next solution is a .net or a .org.
Use BADNET to grab your domain name (and some other goodies).
How to pick your domain name:
Ideally you will want to get a domain name that is a perfect match for your product and a perfect match for what people are searching. For example if you were selling a book about the different types of cheeses you would want to look at the google keyword tool to see if people were searching for the different types of cheese. We did that in step 1 and already know people are searching for it.
Next, we want to see if we can get an exact, matching domain name. If we can get an exact domain we have a very excellent chance of showing up well in a google search for “different types of cheese”.

Boom, now we're in business. The exact domain name with a .com is available for the taking.
Obviously, you probably will not want to write an e-book about the different types of cheeses but hopefully you get the idea.
Now we're ready for step 3.
Step 3 - Set up a hosting plan.
Hosting is where your website is housed on the internet. Free website platforms like blogspot are for people who want to talk politics and religion, not for people who want to make dough.
Use BADNET to get your hosting.
After you get your hosting provider set up it's time for step 4.
Step 4 - Install WordPress.
Note: If you've taken advantage of the BADNET offer you can skip this step, BADNET will install your WordPress site for you.
WordPress is the free, go-to platform to run a blog and to run a simple sales page. WordPress simply could not be easier to install, learn and use.
Follow the instructions and you're set. It really doesn't take more than a minute to install WordPress.
Let's move on to step 5.
Step 5 - Set up your payment processor.
The best solution I know of for processing payment and sending your product to your customer is E-Junkie. For $5 a month E-junkie is a STEAL. E-Junkie will process your payments and send out your product to your customers, all for $5 a month. You can be on a beach or in Timbuktu and still make money letting E-junkie do all the work for you.
E-Junkie is stupidly easy to use, simply follow their instructions and read their getting started guide. You can even use it free for a week before you spend a dime (even though it's only $5 a month and worth every penny).

To get started you can simply click on the link that says “Sign up for FREE 1 week trial now“. You won't have to enter a credit card or anything. You will want to upload your PDF e-book to your products list. Very easy to do.
On to step 6.
Step 6 - Set up a Sales page.
To make money off of your product you will have to sell it. To sell your product you must create a sales page.
A sales page will have several sections:
- Testimonials
- ‘About' your product
- Guarantees
- and most importantly a sales page will have “BUY NOW” or “DOWNLOAD NOW” or “ADD TO CART” call to action buttons.

You have two options when it comes to creating a sales page. You can develop, code and design it yourself or you can use a ready-to-go program that will do the work for you.
To create fast, simple and effective sales pages without doing endless programming I use a ready-to-go program called OptimizePress. OptimizePress is phenomenal. It makes creating sales pages so painfully easy I feel like an idiot for waiting so long to purchase it. Currently OptimizePress runs for $97 and it's worth every red cent. You can purchase once and create as many sales pages for as many products as you want. I wish I would have started using it forever ago. It would have saved me a lot of anguish.
If you want to make money on the internet but you aren't a computer whiz, or even if you are, you should use OptimizePress. It just makes things so damn easy and fast. They have “How-To” Videos for everything, so when you don't know or don't understand something you just watch the video and fix the problem. Even computer illiterates can follow the extremely simple and easy instructions.
You can take a look at the 30 Days of Discipline page to see a very simple, and very quickly made, OptimizePress Sales page. (Note: This is not a great sales page to mimic.) Your sales page will need to have a lot of quality information about your product to make your customers comfortable with purchasing.

Note: Don't forget to link your E-Junkie “Buy Now” link in the sales page. There is a video showing you how to do this in the OptimizePress members section. In fact, there is video showing you how to do everything in OptimizePress.
You will want to take a little while to learn and play around with OptimizePress. You may even want to take a whole weekend (or more) to perfect it. Or you can get it done fast just to get your product out there.
After you have set up your sales page it's time to move on to step 7.
Step 7 - Finish and finalize your product.
Make sure your product is polished, shiny and free of typos. After you type it and finish it up you will want to save it as a PDF and upload it to your E-Junkie account. Easy, peasy Japaneasy.
It's probably best if you create a cover for your e-book. If you're a PhotoShop whiz you can do it in a few minutes. If not, you may have to outsource and hire someone to do it. Never fear, there is a website called fiverr.com where people will do work for you for $5. You can get someone there to design your e-book cover for you and good quality too.
You can also get someone from Fiverr to create a website header for your sales page, if you so desire. A website header, and even an e-book cover, is not imperative but it helps.
On to step 8.
Step 8 - Publish your website.
- You have created your product.
- You have purchased a domain name.
- You have hosting.
- You have installed WordPress.
- You have set up your E-Junkie account and linked your e-book PDF file to your e-junkie account.
- You have created your sales page and linked your e-junkie “Buy Now” button to it.
- You have looked over your product and your sales page and you are ready to finalize everything.
- Hit the publish button and now you have a live, money making site on the internet.

Note: The big dogs will do a pre-launch of their product before their site is live. They will do a pre-launch to build up anticipation and advertising for the product. Since this is your first, I'm assuming, internet product we will skip that step and just get the site live and ready for action.
Let's go to step 9.
Step 9 - Drive traffic to your website.
This is another hard part.
The absolute best way to get traffic is to create an insanely valuable product that remedies a need your customers have and are currently and actively searching for a solution for.
Another way to get traffic is to leave comments on similar blogs and articles that discuss the same issue.
Another way to get traffic is to create a blog, which you can easily do with OptimizePress, and write targeted articles towards your audience. When they search the google machine for an answer to their problem your website will come up with a solution. This is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Another way to drive traffic to your website is to write articles for free article websites and leave a link back to your website.
Another way to get traffic is to pay someone, or a company (or someone from Fiverr), to generate traffic for you.
On to step 10.
Step 10 - Count your money, celebrate, and then re-invest.
Do it all over again with another website and another product. Keep doing it until you have MULTIPLE streams of automated income generated for while you are doing other things. Keep learning, keep improving, and keep taking action.
Fin.
———————————————————-
Boom. That's the gist of it. You are ready to create an e-book (or any product, really), get that sucker online and start making some good old cash money.
If this is your first online money making venture then it hardly matters if it succeeds wildly or fails miserably. What matters is that you LEARN. After you do it once, and learn from your mistakes, you can do it over and over and over and over. Except for writing your e-book, or creating your product, all of this can be finished in a single weekend. The e-book first draft could even be finished in a weekend if you buckle down and get to work. Sylvester Stallone wrote the first draft of Rocky in a single weekend.
There are tons of little tips, tricks and hacks that you will learn as you go along. The only goal of this post is to get you started making some of that sweet, green money and to light a fire under you to get started and to take action. Yesterday was the best day to get started, today is the second best day.
Get to killing.
Additional Resources:
Google Analytics is a way to track all your traffic (visitors). You will want to use google analytics on your website to view how much traffic you receive, where the traffic is coming from, and how much traffic converts. Google Analytics is free and easy to use. OptimizePress makes it stupid easy to install analytics on your website, just watch the video on the OptimizePress members page.

A note to any cheese lovers. differenttypesofcheese.com is in fact available. Get to work.
haha!
Well fuck me two ways to Sunday.
Yesterday I decided to write an ebook after looking through 37signals book ‘rework’. I was trying to decide what to do with my software and noticed the ‘sell your by-products’ advice. I fired up google keywords and noticed there are lots of people looking for the information I have and no one is giving it. Only 1700~ monthly searches over 4 keywords, but very targeted, no competition (usually requires going through industry gatekeepers), a high informational barrier to entry and a very high price point.
Dammit Vic, this is now a 30 day challenge for me.
Also, did you just read this post: http://two.cedonulli.com/2012/03/making-cash-money/
Sounds like you did.
No, I don’t read that blog.
Let me know how the e-book turns out. Sounds like a winner.
Edit: Are you writing an e-book or are you selling your software?
I have to admit it Vic, I started with software but can’t stand it even though I’ve been doing it for several years. I’ve long been interested in Agriculture/Ag Supply/Ag Tech and planned to go into it once ‘I’m making decent money with software’. I’ve done well in software, great degree, prize for best Uni project, worked for one of the biggest IT companies, but it bores the hell out of me. I’ve just been trying the power through so I can make cash and do something else. I want to work with real things, make deals, provide real goods to people and not some fucking web app service. I don’t quite want to be a farmer, but I want to be a man who makes real shit happen.
I know a Man should just get on with it but it’s hard to kick ass at something you don’t care about.
I don’t know what I’m doing, my Father, family, community and society never taught me shit, I still struggle to tie a tie.
It sounds like you have a gift. You may not enjoy it but the rewards can be great. A big score can allow you to concentrate on the things you really want to do, like farming. FYI - I have a huge interest in farming. It is the most important occupation in the world. But you can’t make any real money in farming unless you own several farms or you develop a fix for a farming problem.
“I know a Man should just get on with it but it’s hard to kick ass at something you don’t care about.”
Keep your eye on the prize. The prize used to be your family at home waiting for you. Now it’s economic independence.
You know I’ve done a bit of thinking and realised the problem. My ‘don’t care’ attitude is because I don’t have enough reasons to work at it.
Yesterday the family I work for had a family gathering. The patriarch of the family (my boss) has 4 strong and successful sons. Now each son has a wife and children. It was real nice spending time with the family and playing with the kids, I never had that growing up.
That’s my reason. One day I will create my own family, I will marry a traditional women and raise good kids. A Man’s nature is to provide and protect a family. A man does this by working hard at something, becoming fitter, stronger, more confident and just plain bold and determined. The greatest achievement of any man is to become a patriarch of a great family. And I will do it all despite not everything being in my favour. I won’t end up like so many middle aged divorced men in the manosphere, whining like a little girl because not everything is to their liking.
I’m moving out of my sharehouse in a few days to a cottage with no running water, just to get away from my negative peers. Then in three weeks time I’m finishing my job and flying to a new city. Then I’m going to spend two solid months doing nothing but working on software. None of this tourist crap, I’ve spend most my life taking it easy, vacations should be earned. I’ll sleep, eat and exercise, but nothing else, not even socialising. Drastic, but I need money, a man needs to provide.
Long term, I want to learn Mandarin, build an Agricultural Tech business, have a family and so on, but the most important thing for a man is producing and this is the best way for me to produce right now.
I don’t want to turn your blog into my journal Vic, won’t happen again. Have you thought about a bold and determined forum though? All the other manosphere forums revolve around the themes ‘Hedonism and pussy’ and ‘Whaaa whaaa why are women such bitches?’. A kick ass and take names forum is the kind of place young men need.
Cheers.
Russ,
I have had an ACCOUNTABILITY FORUM on my mind for a while. It would be a place to go kick ass and take names. All the male oriented forums I have seen are a bunch of baloney. The ACCOUNTABILITY FORUM would be a place to go and either keep up with your goals, go over plans, get information and advice, or give information and advice. A place where you can go and get pumped up about your project. A place with P.M.A. on full display (positive mental attitude). I will have to send out a feeler to the other readers and see if it is desired and will be used. I don’t want the place to be a graveyard.
Victor- an accountability forum sounds right up my alley. I’m in.
Your blog is amazing i went to sleep reading and woke up reading. I think this is where i need to be! The accountability forum sounds great bte
Hey Victor!
thanks for your advice, now my own “Niche-Website” is online.
Take a look at it, if you like to:
http://bookingerman.com/
Dear Viktor
I have read about 90 percent of Your blog. Found some great advices and concepts I have used immediately. I have also wrote e book based fully on your instruction Yesterday I have sold first piece for 12 EUR. It was fun. Now i can also say Iam a writer too.
My new e-bookk is here: http://www.biznisonline.eu, please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Iam in affiliate bussiness for 2 Years and I have newer heard about this possiblity before.
Also intermittent fasting works for me, It took me years to get used to breakfest, it took me 2 days to get used to skip brekafest.
Victor,
You have lit a fire for me to get finished on something for a while. A bit of a gag site sending a card in the mail. Still working out the kinks.
youareadouchecard.com
Keep kicking ass. Thanks.
This guy’s website is hilarious! Awesome business idea!
Victor,
Do you recommend incorporating for this? (Setting up an entity) I know some people who do and some people who don’t. What is the best way to go forth with this? How would tax work if someone didn’t incorporate? Would this income be considered self-employment?
Jessie, I would set up a corp when and if I was making money. Yes, you will pay self employment tax if not under a company. If I were in the States I’d just set up an LLC to take care of it.
Hi Vic,
I am a big fan of your blog, your philosophy and your deeds.
I need a piece of advice, I have nearly finished an ebook following your instructions but I am now worried that people will start copying it or loading it to torrent sites.
How can I protect the ebook/pdf file?
best wishes
Emet
Emet,
To be perfectly honest I don’t spend time worrying about this. MOST people will pay, a smaller % of scumbags will steal your work. I don’t lose sleep over but when I see a site offering one of my books I threaten legal action and have them remove it.
Did someone say accountability forum? Count me in…
A quick question regarding e-books. How do you protect yourself from piracy? Someone could end up uploading your product and all (or a substantial part) of your hard work go to waste.
I don’t even worry about it. When I find someone who has pirated my stuff I send a cease and desist but I don’t lose sleep over piracy, most people aren’t pirates.
Hey Vic,
From what I can tell you’re a great man, worthy of admiration. You certainly have mine, in a world of lazy sacks of crap you stand among them as a real man. Since I started reading your site (which i came across due to my hatred of feminists, funny as fuck article by the way) I’ve definitely become more of a man, even though I’m on 17. I’m currently doing 30 Days of Discipline and I love it so far (13 days in), I can’t even bring myself to have warm showers anymore. You’re a role model for the modern excuse of a man, and I look forward to your future content. Thanks to my own life experiences and your encouragement I started up a website based on building up confidence in men and women.
“StrengthInConfidence.com” I call it.
Keep up with the awesome content man
Your mate,
B
Hey Vic,
Really been enjoying all the blogs on here(basically read them all) I started weight training about 5 months ago and it’s completely changed my life. Not just physically but mentally aswell. I am healthier richer and happier than I’ve ever been thanks to the self discipline I have taught myself. Your blog has inspired me to help others get out of the negative cycle that stops them achieving. Anyway check out the site my site I would love to hear what anyone has to say on it. (Good or bad!) http://www.stepbysteplife.com
Thanks again Vic, bazza
yeeey I finally did it ;)
This is my e-book on neuroplasticity, you can find information about improving memory and learning skills, about mental health and brain injury recovery, it has all the latest researches in it!

have fun*
How much can such an ebook earn monthly/yearly?
Hi Melody
I was a bit curious about sales of ur e book.
if possible share about performance of ur work
how many sales yet, and what can be done to promote e book
Thanks in advance
man so much valuable information, but im too lazy to implement that stuff.
Then go crawl in a hole you lazy fuck
I’m about sick of ready sissy ass posts like yours, if you can’t contribute something of use then why the fuck do you post at all?
Go back to playing video games.
How much money can an eBook make in general??
As much or as little as reflects your quality and efforts. How much of someone else’s income is really none of your business. Change your name so we won’t think of you as such.
Vic,
Where would you recommend getting ebook cover designs from?
I don’t really want to go with a generic and cheap fiverr design. What designer have you used for your two books?
Cheers
I got a guy that works for me, he did those.
Hey Ryan (and anybody else) - I’m a graphic designer and have done several book covers, including Matt Forney’s “Confessions of an Online Hustler” and “Trolling For A Living”.
My work is more expensive than Fiverr (book covers start at $150) but when it comes to design, you get what you pay for. Check out my site at http://unluckydevil.com for some art examples.
Vic - Love your site man, been lurking for a couple of years. Keep up the good work!
Victor,
I think your readers will also benefit from reading Pat Flynn’s e-book “eBooks the Smart Way” which he gives away for free when you sign up for his newsletter over at http://www.smartpassiveincome.com
I’d like to say that as of about 1hr ago, less than 24 hours of putting my ebook online, I made my first sale.
I followed Vic’s advice pretty much to the T.
I have not purchased a separate .com for the book yet, but my advice is:
1. Put in the work, get serious.
2. Give it away free for a month or two
3. Build anticipation
4. Get legit testimonials
5. Edit before you make it for sale
6. Make money (make revisions as you go along)
Follow the advice given in this article and you WILL make money.
Thanks again, Vic!
Victor,
What’s going on with google keywords now? I see that you have to have a Adwords account to be able to use the keyword tool, which means it is no longer free?? Any advice on this? I’m working on my e-book/blog and just came across this issue.
thanks,
Alex
it is free, I’m using it right now, its easy too
Hey!
Just subscribed to your site, it’s friggen awesome!!!!!
I’m a Graphic Designer so that chap that was asking about covers, I can hook him up with something hot!
I’m going to take some advice and see if I can also do this “äutomated-income” venture :-)
Have a rocking day!!!!
K
Hi Victor,
I am following your recommendation and buying hosting services from HostGator. They also offer various addons: SiteLock, CodeGuard and SEO Gear. What are your experiences with these if any. Do you recommend these also?
Thanks in advance. Terrific blog you have here.
No, don’t need any of that.
Dear people reading this,
PLEASE create products solving problems in there BIG 3:
* money
* woman
* gain muscle OR lost weight
Just do this FOR SAKE of gods of money:
1) create a site using the big 3 as base
2) write articles 300 ~ 1500 words ’til you get 100 posts
3) them write until you get 100 visits per day
4) them put some aff links
So you will make money. Its simples but needs you put work in real world and stop crying and whining and others losers actions.
Victor did it with B&D — and you will do if you stick TO THE DAMN SYSTEM.
And after you make yours $100 give me it to me =].
Victor: what do you think of doing an E-book for Amazon? Is it a waste of time or good to get your feet wet and then move on from there? Thanks…
Yeah, do it.
Done deal… Thanks..
victor: are “niche” sites done as free sites or should the person doing it pay monthly as well as he would do for his “main” site? Thanks..
Pay for a real site. Almost all hosting plans offer unlimited sites and unlimited hosting, you won’t have to pay extra to host more sites.
Awesome… WILL DO. Yes, I already bought one and was just wondering what the deal was with other ones… Thank you!
I’m actually in the middle of creating my ebook. I’ve written down my rough draft on wordpad but for the life of me, I can’t seem to turn it into a pdf(for free). Any recommendations on a good pdf converter/editor? You might want to put this information up in the post.
As I recall most word processors like microsoft word can save as pdf.
Google Docs and Zoho Docs can both save as a pdf.
10 Easy steps is not a lie. I am in the midst of following these 10 steps (waiting on fiverr) and I never knew monetizing the internet could be so fun! I wake up in the morning and can’t wait to smash through a new article or improve my site. You’re the man Vic!
I really like this article. I think it would be more interesting to see an article about the legal process of making eBooks and how to prevent lawsuit and the necessary step of making sales page with disclaimer, privacy policy, copyrights and how to avoid troubles with the law. Just a suggestion. I did do many researches behind all that but only left me with more confusion.
Im writing my first ebook,”Road trip check list: The Mechanic OC’s vehicle safety checks before you hit the open road!” itll be free to all my customers and website visitors. This is great outline on how to write an ebook Vic. Thanks you.
This blog is wonderful. I don’t know how to describe it. Unique experience Victor, thanks. You are very very clever man.
Hey Victor I’m a big fan and long tome reader just want to say this arrival is gold and you inspired me to write my ebook which is something I never would have though about doing a year ago I bout 30 days of discipline much of the stuff in there I was already doing like the cold shower thing and waking up early the one new habit I picked up was writing down ideas in a notebook now I have an entire website full of ideas again thank you for lighting the fire from under my ads to get going
Victor - just thought I’d let you know that the “google analytics” link at the bottom is broken!
-Jon
Thanks Jon!
Nice and clear article. However, I am writing an action novel. Would the procedure be the same to promote an action novel?
Thanks.
Hi Uncle Vic!
You might want to check out your link on OptimizePress. It leads me to a site called Nanacast. I check for “OptimizePress” on Google to see if they have changed to Nanacast or not; and no, they didn’t. You may want to check and update on that. :)
Cheers,
JP
Hey Vic,
1.) Do you hire someone to edit and proofread your e-books?
2.) Is an ISBN necessary?
3.) I’m close to finishing my first e-book, but my blog is just a week old and doesn’t have much traffic yet. Once my e-book is finished, is it a good idea to sell my e-book on both Amazon and my website and then take it off of Amazon after my website gets more traffic?
Give your ebook away for free in exchange for the readers email address. No ISBN is necessary for an ebook.
