Subj: Marijuana actually is bad for you, mmkay
—
Many times now I have received comments praising the effects of marijuana. They say:
“Victor, the weed is so great. You should get stoned and drop out, man.”
I say: Wow, the weed is so great huh? Listen here Wiz Khalifa, get a big dimebag of it, make sure it's primo stuff, get your bongs and your pipes, get your lighters and incense, get your Willie Nelson records, and then shove it all up your ass.
Weed is garbage and here is why you should never smoke it…
WEED KILLS YOUR DRIVE TO SUCCEED.
Everybody on earth already knows the reality of marijuana, we're simply pretending the negatives don't exist.
Marijuana has a million negative effects and not a single true benefit. Every positive word you have ever heard about marijuana has been a lie promoted by drug addicts.
If you say otherwise you need a swift kick in the ass to get you back on track. I'm here to give you that kick in the ass and show you the reality of the devil's weed.
I will show you the 8 worst effects of marijuana in a moment, but even if you forget the rest of the article, always remember this:
MARIJUANA ROBS YOU OF AMBITION.
You cannot be in business without ambition and you will absolutely never find success if you make a habit of smoking cannabis.
Many men will take offense to this simple observational fact. Those many men are called pothead losers and they need a swift kick of reality to their backside.
How to easily tell if you have a problem with marijuana…
(If you think you or someone you love is a marijuana addict, use this test.)
Quick question: You see a man walking towards you wearing a shirt with a marijuana leaf on it. What is your first reaction that the man in the marijuana leaf t-shirt? Is he:
a) a burnout loser
or
b) a rich CEO?
If you said A, you are correct. He is obviously a burnout loser. Congratulations to you, you obviously live in the real world.
If you said B, you are incorrect. He is obviously not a rich CEO and you no longer live in the real world. You have smoked yourself into a realm where truth has no business. You have an obvious problem with marijuana and you are pathologically unable to admit it.
Marijuana addicts are notorious liars, even to themselves, and they will even pretend that the drug they are addicted to is actually a medicine.
Is marijuana actually medicine?
No, marijuana is not medicine. You'll hear all this talk about marijuana being a harmless medicine. Well I've got news for you, marijuana is a drug, it is not a medicine.
Marijuana is a drug that tricks you into thinking it is medicine when in reality it is what is causing the so-called health problems that it pretends to heal.
You toke on the reefer, it causes your problems. The next day you have problems and you want them to go away so you toke on the reefer. But after you take your “medicine” your problems seem to come back like clockwork.

Marijuana causes the problems it pretends to heal. This is how ALL drug addictions work; nicotine, heroin, alcohol and other drugs follow this same formula. Take the drug, get the problems, the drug temporarily solves the problems that it created (until it stops solving the problems it created, leading you to take more and more).
“But Victor, if everybody smoked a joint the world would be a better place, man”
No, the world would not be a better place if everybody smoked a joint. If everybody smoked marijuana we would live in a world of retarded criminals. Just like in Denver…
Marijuana is legal in the formerly great state of Colorado. Denver is the biggest city in Colorado. In 2013, 48.4% of those arrested in Denver had marijuana in their system.
Do you know why criminals often (usually) have marijuana in their system? It is because marijuana is a drug that makes you do things you would not normally do.
“But I thought marijuana calms you down, man?”
That is a lie. Marijuana does not calm you down, it actually increases your heart rate. Eventually, it temporarily relieves the symptoms that it gives you.
A widely held belief among marijuana users is that marijuana use helps to relieve anxiety and improve depression. Based on the available research, it seems that the euphoric, pleasant and anxiety-relieving effects produced by marijuana are only temporary and can actually contribute to worsening symptoms of depressive and anxiety disorders with higher concentrations of THC and the chronic use of marijuana.” (source)
Did you read that? It said the pleasant effects of marijuana are temporary and that marijuana contributes to those symptoms it promises to heal.
What does that mean in English? Marijuana gives you the anxiety and depression you use marijuana to treat.
Marijuana use and abuse is an endless cycle.
MARIJUANA WORKS LIKE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME
Marijuana is a tricky drug that gives you the symptoms of depression because it's the only cure. It's like Stockholm Syndrome - the victim becomes convinced that his captor is the only one who will protect him and keep him alive.
Weed wants to be used so it will be propagated. For it to be used, the user needs to want to use it, and by giving the user symptoms of depression, the user will want to use it to get rid of those symptoms.
Marijuana is not a medicine, it is not healing you, in reality it is dumbing you down, slowing you down, mentally killing you and slowly physically killing you.
“But Victor, alcohol is WORSE than weed!”
Did you already forget what we are talking about, Cheech? We aren't talking about alcohol, we are talking about weed.
Nobody is praising the benefits of alcohol. You are changing the subject because you are uncomfortable with the truth, which is a sign of marijuana addiction.
Weed is garbage. Just because alcohol is also garbage is no excuse for you to be a loser hitting the cannabis pipe.
Just say no to reefer and say yes to a calm, clear, sharp mind.
It is a bold faced lie that marijuana is harmless and it is an even bigger lie that it is good for you. Marijuana is trash and if you smoke it you will become trash.

“Why not just try marijuana, man?”
If you have never smoked marijuana, don't even try it. Your friends and family will pressure you, say no.
Nobody even likes marijuana the first time they try it, because it is poison to your system. It takes 5-10 times for you to start “liking” it.
If marijuana is so good, how come nobody likes it the first several times they try it? That is because the weed has not had time to start developing it's very real addiction power.
Magically, at about the 5th-10th time you smoke weed, you “enjoy” it. In reality, the addiction is growing and you are feeding the addiction which is why you think it suddenly “feels good.” All it is doing is relieving the mild addiction you did not realize you were creating.
“But Victor, you can't get addicted to weed lol”
What are you dumb? Yes, of course you can be addicted to weed. Look at every single pothead for absolute proof that you can be addicted to cannabis.
This is a lie they have been telling you for a long time, that you cannot get addicted to weed. That is absolute nonsense, weed is one of the most additive substances on earth.
The experts say, “It is often harder to get people who are dependent on cannabis through withdrawal than for heroin – we just don’t know how to do it.”
Why is weed so hard to quit? (It's actually easy to quit, keep reading). Because weed is a tricky little drug that does a lot of seemingly invisible damage.

“So what are the actual benefits of marijuana?”
There are NO benefits of marijuana. Weed literally does not do any good for you. Every so-called benefit is a negative effect in disguise.
Weed creates the problems it then temporarily solves for you. People say “I take weed for my anxiety” ignoring the fact that weed causes the anxiety in the first place.
So they keep on smokin' and tokin' like Snoop Dogg without a care in the world. In the meantime, everything else in life takes a back-seat to your drug addiction.
- Brain scans showed the cannabis users had significantly blunted dopamine responses compared with the controls who had never taken the drug.
- Research links marijuana use to mental health problems: anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, schizophrenia and short-term psychosis.
- The most commonly reported side effects of smoking marijuana are intense anxiety and panic attacks.
- Studies report that about 20% to 30% of recreational users experience such problems after smoking marijuana. The people most vulnerable are those who have never used marijuana before.
- Too often cannabis is wrongly seen as a safe drug, but there is a clear link with psychosis and schizophrenia, especially for teenagers.
- A 2013 study conducted by researchers from the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University investigated the link between cannabis and mental health problems, including depression, suicidal ideation and suicidal attempts, in 976 school students attending four high schools in Canada. The students were surveyed in grade 10 and 12. The researchers found that heavy cannabis use alone predicted depression, but not suicidal ideation or attempts, among high school students.”
- High doses of THC are notoriously linked to the development of brief psychotic reactions, even in people who do not have schizophrenia, as well as symptoms of psychosis including depersonalization, fears of dying, irrational panic and paranoid ideas, although these symptoms often quickly abate soon after the effects of marijuana are gone.
- Read more about the harmful effects of weed here and here.
Marijuana only really does one thing to you…
MARIJUANA MAKES YOU A LOSER.
Use your eyes to see the truth: every pothead you know is an easily irritable loser.
Loser = a person with low self-esteem who does nothing proactive to fix his loser'dom. Rather, a loser only gets irritable when people point out his obvious flaws. Marijuana renders these people incapable of remaining calm.
Marijuana users are the most sensitive losers on earth. They are easily offended when presented with the reality of marijuana and they are not equipped to deal with stress in any way other than toking more reefer. That is because marijuana kills your self-esteem.
“The only thoughts I have when I smoke cannabis is that I'm an idiot and everyone else thinks the same.” -Every pothead
If you are a drunk or a stoner it is because you are a loser. If you stop smoking you will stop being a loser because the only thing making you a loser is the weed.
Marijuana is like a band-aid made of cactus. Rip off the band aid and fix the real problem like a man. You can fix the problem with this single piece of knowledge… WEED IS GARBAGE.
The people who toke on reefer know it's garbage but they're too addicted to stop. Thankfully, when you understand the truth that marijuana creates the problems it fixes, marijuana addiction is easy to break.
(Winners got time for weed like we got time for AIDS - none.)
STOP SMOKING WEED

START LIVING LIFE
To stop smoking marijuana is easy. All you have to do is realize that smoking pot does not give you any benefits and it causes all of the problems it pretends to fix.
Get rid of the weed and those problems will go away like magic. Poof. Leaving you with a clear, calm mind.
If you want to succeed in this life, you must have a calm, clear mind at all times.
Opportunity often comes but once in a lifetime, you have to clear-minded and present in the moment to take your opportunity.
Think of all the opportunities you let pass you by because you were too high to act on them.
To catch opportunity when she passes you by, you must: Stay lean, stay clean, stay mean and don't ever smoke that green nonsense.
You will make a lot more money and have a lot more fun in the long-run.
Guaranteed.
Until next time.
Your man,
-Victor Pride

Good Shit Vic.
I personally have never drank any alcohol or used any form of drug that wasn’t prescribed for an physical illness.
I just graduated High School and I can testify that weed does make you a loser, I have not met a single pothead in school that was rocking out in life.
Fuck me if I’m wrong (preferably a hot stoner chick)
As always thank you for what you do Vic, I’m glad it can bring us both joy (I have my own blog and you’re linked on my intro page)
I also have a secondary question.
When you talk about being selfish with women and leadership with them. I’m totally down for that, then when they do as I say how would I go about rewarding them?
Is the system basically
1.) Command
2.) Reward/Punish
3.) Repeat
Cheers!- G
My man! On the right track.
“I’m totally down for that, then when they do as I say how would I go about rewarding them?”
Don’t. That’s the true way. Be selfish for real.
There is also a lack of understanding about second hand marijuana smoke. People smoke it with babies, toddlers, school age children, and pets in proximity of the smoke. With its increasing legality, people smoke outdoors like it’s not affecting anyone besides themselves. Neighbors of these smokers are affected as well. The same reasons why second hand tobacco use is making it more restrictive to smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes and the like should be a mitigating factor (along with the reasons stated in and this article) for why it should not be legalized to give another convenient reason to use it.
I was interested in what you had to say until you started talking about shoving stuff up peoples asses. Calling people a loser does not make it true. It surely does not make you a better person. Being a rich CEO is not being successful. It is a good thing you don’t smoke weed because you have too many other issues to worry about. To be clear Cannabis is a plant. It is active in the human body in numerous ways. I used to grow it in a co-op for five terminally ill cancer patients. It was used to help them eat after chemo treatments. Most pharmaceuticals are merely extracts from plants and animals. Recreational marijuana use does come with side effects for its users. But what else do they have to do? Workout till their body is unnaturally deformed, write criticizing blogs, or worship money and power? In the end we will all die. In time no one will know you ever existed. You used up as much of the planets resources as you could get your hands on, and left nothing to the future except a blog full of insults and half truths. Congratulations if you think this is success.
100%
Bullshit. Everyone lives a long life. With the advancement of modern technologies an average person will live to 90 in the next 50 years. Now u have a choice to perceive everything as meaningless or you can change ur life by doing the right thing. Not taking garbage in ur body is the first step.
Any kind of intoxication on a regular basis is nothing short of stupidity. People are so dumbfuck that they think they are cool if they are getting high.
Getting high by alcohol, weed or any new hip hop stuff will lead to failure in the longer term, be it your brain or body.
Good Job Vic by pointing it out to the idiots who get high.
“Getting high by alcohol, weed or any new hip hop stuff will lead to failure in the longer term, be it your brain or body.”

“People are so dumbfuck that they think they are cool if they are getting high.”
One thing I noticed when I used to play online videogames all the time was how many of the usernames were something along the lines of “WeedToka420” or “MaryJanePotHead420.”
These people literally identify themselves by their drug addiction. Just goes to show what little else these people have going on in their lives.
Hit the nail on the head with this one. Weed addiction is very real and very destructive. I’ve found that it’s often people who are obsessive types that get the most addicted, which is sad because they have the most potential to do big things.
On a personal level I credit B+D for playing a huge part in helping me quit.
Spot on. It will make you slow, lazy, passive and your only concern will be how can you arrange your time in order to get high. Do yourself favor and ditch weed out of your life.
( Same case with any other opiate and alcohol )
Look man that could be your opinion or what it does to you but just because it happends to you doesnt mean it happends to everyone ive been doing this for 2 years still in school with good grades and working to start my own business its all depending on a person it doesnt affect everyone the same.
Keep telling yourself that. Come read this shit again when you’ve graduated school and your seemingly “great” business has completely failed and you don’t understand how.
Doing weed daily will ruin you, you don’t have to believe me, rather go to r/trees and take it from all the addicts there that you’re doing perfectly fine, LOL.
Hopefully within three years of now, you’ll realize what we’re talking about on here and wish you never started. (I was a pothead once, I praised it like you once, didn’t believe it was damaging or addictive, I put my trust in pretentious pothead losers who lied to me about the drug. But now four years later, I can safely say weed is equally as dangerous as alcohol. Only it fucks you up mentally, not physically. But yeah, we’re all lying on here, right? Just keep smoking and good luck quitting successfully in a few years. Hopefully you aren’t fully delusional by then and grow up to be a boring, old sack of nothing, a life wasted and consumed by weed.)
Alex, that’s so typical. You’re still in school, you probably haven’t smoked for very long yet. But you’ve already begun to get delusional. “I’m working on my business” you have it all figured out, don’t you? What did you plan so far with your “business”, what you’re gonna do? How rich you’re gonna get? I bet you have no idea what you’re talking about. You just have that typical stoner-mindset of “: It’s all gonna be good man, I’m just gonna start a business and get rich, yeah.. that’s me. I’m an exception, superior to the actual hard-working, productive, sober people “.
You know what? I’m a fucking ex-pothead, I was like you once, couldn’t stop praising that shit and truly believed in all the idiotic-shit stoner-culture says. It’s fucking pseudo-science. Stoners are the prime example of COGNITIVE DISSONANCE. I have been there, I’ve experienced it all, I had to quit fucking ten times before I finally managed to unleash myself from it’s vile claws. Weed isn’t addictive like other, nasty drugs - but it’s the only drug that manages to bond so deeply into you and bury itself into your subconscious. You don’t have to believe me, we’ll talk once you’ve realized you’ve been delusional. Once this “business” doesn’t work out at all and you realize everything you thought you were gonna be, isn’t even true. Just remember, we fucking warned you. I fucking warned you, a once fully-dedicated pothead. But yeah, my experience is false for you, isn’t it? You keep smoking, buddy. Good luck. As with everything, more will be revealed to you later on in the relationship, once you realize weed isn’t so very different to alcohol or cocaine in what it truly does. You’ll understand what I’m saying one day.
Sorry for writing in between the comments, but somehow I feel you are the apt person to ask you this thing.
I have been a major pothead since 8 years give or take. But since my graduation I have not done anything productive with my life. now I am 26 and want to quit badly since I think weed is the only cause of my problem, and that my life will only get better if I quit pot completely.
So this being a short brief about myself, I want to ask should I disconnect with all of my friends completely for sometime?as most of them keep calling/texting me for smoking and that makes my quitting very difficult.
So if I change my number and stay disconnected for few months I think I will be able to quit this fucking shit out of my life. Please give me your valuable suggestions
Shariq Khan - I began smoking when I was 13 and continued for 15 years on and off. I have now been clean for over 9 1/2 years. Outpatient rehab, jail, unhappy family members and peers… none of it could help me quit. Finally I just grew out of it; realized it was holding me back and keeping me unproductive and unsatisfied with life. If you truly want to quit you will need to either be comfortable being sober around friends who use drugs, or cut them out completely. Either way, they are being stupid and if you’re sober around them it feels more like babysitting. You grow up first, then you will have the track record and know-how to inspire others to overcome it and become more successful themselves. Good luck.
I am de-addiction expert.
There is a very easy way to quit.
All you need is understanding some concepts behind why we smoke and what happens when we do it.
And within some time u will quit on ur own happyily
That’s what I thought. I smoke often and I get good grades and it hasn’t affected me in any way. My brother smokes almost daily and he’s a successful actor. My dad smoked a lot when he was young and he’s the editor of a magazine now. It’s just a bit of fun people have got to chill out
Yes but do you feel that you would be more successful and be more capable of becoming a success if you didn’t smoke? I mean of course, since your Dad is the editor of a magazine that he is a success right, but does he ever tell you about his inner problems that slowly tear him apart that he hides by telling you that he feels great and that nothing is wrong? Just like Like victor said, Marijuana pretends to heal the problems that people have. And your brother of course is an actor right, but any fool can act and be successful and still do weed. Sylvester Stallone didn’t even finish school to earn his degree for theater and performing arts and still made it big in the movie production business. Eddie Van Halen snorted coke and drank a lot of boose and yet he built the 5150 studio building that he used to produce popular music. But he had severe problems that involved the relationship with his wife and other people that he worked with in the business. So if I were you, I would take certain things into consideration before claiming that you can still smoke weed and be successful without any problems what so ever.
So true Vic! I actually live in Colorado and this shit is all over the place! I’m 19 now and of course I’ve tried, but it is such a waste of time and money. While all my buddies are out partying I’d rather build my business and go to tell my current boss (who smokes weed himself cause he’s a loser) when I quit to go fuck himself. Vic your a great role model. Keep it up you beast!
My man.
Vic you should collaborate with Elliott Hulse. I feel like you two would do great business together. Check him out on YouTube.
Absolutely not. Elliot and Victor are two completely different people. I have been a follower of both for a long time and they are polar opposites on almost everything besides the health and fitness stuff.
Victor is “stubborn” in a way. He knows what he means and he means what he says. Elliot is more of an open book who will consider any side of an argument and will go all spiritual and “woo woo” to find an answer - Something I have seen Victor mock several times.
Hello there sid.
In your second sentence you state, “While all my buddies are out partying I’d rather build my business and go to tell my current boss (who smokes weed himself cause he’s a loser) when I quit to go fuck himself.”
One of the main premises of Vic’s argument was that cannabis leads to an unsuccessful life. That seems quite contradictive due to the fact that he is your boss and lives a more successful life than you.
I use cannabis often and have found that its many medicinal properties help in my daily life. I suffer from a disorder called ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), which often makes it difficult to feel fully engaged in anything that requires a heavy amount of focus such as an exam. But when I use cannabis it helps me to calm down and focus so that I’m able to complete the task at hand. It’s also safer and more effective than amphetamine-based medications like Ritalin or Adderall.
I’ll link a site which has numerous other citations within it for you to fully research the effects and positives of using cannabis.https://herb.co/marijuana/news/smoke-weed-daily/
I hope your having a good day, Dog.
He isn’t very successful, he’s a produce manager at a grocery store, 50 years old and only makes like 4 or 5 dollars more an hour than I do. I’m just about to turn 21 and I make 16 dollars an hour. He smokes weed and plays video games on the days when he’s not working, he’s also very forgetful and has anger issues. Oh and I should mention HR has told him 2 or 3 times that if he doesn’t stop being a dick to our customers that he’ll get fired. When he was in his 20’s all he did was do lots of drugs like LSD and ecstasy. So sure he may be my boss, but I would never want to be like him in 30 years, especially since he doesn’t give a shit at all and hates his job so much that he’s even had meltdowns and said that he’s gonna quit. Plus when I used to smoke marijuana it made me paranoid, depressed and lazy as hell. It affects people in different ways buddy. So don’t assume that if it works for you that it’s gonna work for me.
My one and only time of trying this poison was at 17 when I put it in a blueberry muffin..
The most terrifying night of my life enveiled, soon after I ate the muffin I was plunged into a state of paranoia. Time ground to a halt and started turning backwards, or so it seemed. I lost my ability to differentiate the difference between what already had happened and what was about to happen i.e. my preception of past and present had crumbled to the ground.
The whole night I spent thinking I was going mad and that I’d never be sane again. I felt like I was going psychotic. Had it not have subsided by the morning I may have contemplated suicide at some point soon after, as there was no way I could possibly live on in that mental state any longer.
That night was suffice to deter me from narcotics permanently, never again will I touch any drug other than alcohol, and only in moderation (I like a short or liqueur now and then and that’s unlikely to change).
There is no doubt about it, this shit is vile poison and nothing more, take it from me.
If you’re going to do it then accept you’re playing Russian roulette with your life.
And you only get one of those!
Cheers for spreading the word BnD
“The whole night I spent thinking I was going mad and that I’d never be sane again. I felt like I was going psychotic. Had it not have subsided by the morning I may have contemplated suicide at some point soon after, as there was no way I could possibly live on in that mental state any longer.”
Read this, boys, because this is reality.
If your a first timer why try edibles. Edibles tend to be for more experienced users not for newbies. Thats what caused your paranoia or probably since your 17 you were still living with your parents so them finding out got you paranoid. Ive been smoking for almost 2 years daily im 17 now i tend to do it at night after work and school i have a decent job for my age where i am well admired. In school my test dont score lower than A`s or B`s. So in my opinion its not the drugs that make people lazy retarted or useless its depending on the person and their state of mind not everyone is made to handle drugs. Oh and plus i know many people who use these drugs or worst making more money than most would ever see. So you could think what you want about pot heads just dont pass your opinions as facts.
No it had nothing to do with being caught by parents, my parent had already found out about it by the time my paranoia came about.
And how exactly do you need to be an experienced user to be taking on edibles, is narcotic use something you have to gain a tolerance to..?! No thanks, you stick to being a hardened user who’s doing well for yourself, I’ll carry on being a non-user who’s doing well for himself.
LOL at your comment it is about as much speculation as mine if not more, only you’re clearly delusional, maybe it’s time you came off the pot.
Hey man, people are aware that alcohol is harmful, but the extent of which is not really accepted because it is part of culture and fun. Alcohol actually destroys DNA. It shortens your lifespan and health, considerably. Do a couple of google searches with the query “alcohol damages DNA” and see if that’s something you want to keep ‘consuming’.
Now take a look at the word, ‘consuming’. Do we use that word for anything else? The alcohol is literally consuming your body. Also, look up a video about the symbolism and entmolygy of alcohol on YouTube. Ever wonder why drinks are called ‘spirits’? You are opening yourself up to possession.
Re: The word “alcohol” is said to come from the arabic term “Al-khul” which means “BODY-EATING SPIRIT” (also, is the origin of the term” ghoul”).
http://www.auricmedia.net/alcohol-said-come-arabic-term-al-khul-means-body-eating-spirit/
Bravo. I have no doubt most of your audience are young, impressionable men. They need to hear this, and hear it from someone like you.
Victor,
I make $140,000 a year, I have over $2m in net worth, and I smoke marijuana.
I am not a CEO but I’m extremely successful by the only measure that matters: I am happy and I have exactly the lifestyle that I desire.
I’m not going to tell you that marijuana is some kind of miraculous panacea, but to say that everyone who smokes never finds success is total nonsense.
I’m not some kind of wildcard either. I know doctors, lawyers, corporate executives, successful entrepreneurs and other successful individuals who consume. I even know one guy who IS a CEO (of an incredibly successful brewery) and he smokes more than the rest of us put together.
Weed is garbage Roberto, it is as simple as that. A lot of CEOs became debauched losers AFTER they create their business, never before.
Clearly it isn’t as simple as that, as we all started smoking in college and found success after that.
Friend, whether you’re ready to admit it or not: it is.
OK Victor, I can see your mind is closed on the subject, but I respect your opinion.
I’m 29 years old this year. I have an online business that makes over 500k/year so far. Plan to hit the 7 figure profit on this business by the end of this year. So this is location independent online business.
I do Muay Thai and boxing. Hit the gym daily. Have a nice physique.
Traveled to over 20 countries.
I smoke weed 2-3 times per month.
It’s about balance and self control
I have plenty of motivation every day and high energy levels. I put others before me and I smoke several times a month. Oh, and 7 digits were hit last year.
Only loser consider themselves “extremely successful” with 140k/year, seriously.
This is not about how much should be considered much, as it all depends on lots of factors, internal and external. But calling yourself extremely successful (with a salary which is probably 10% of a normal CEO’s salary but let’s put it aside) does not sound hungry to me. Does not sound like…I am on my way with 140k and this takes some burden of my shoulder but nevertheless I will push it more every year….
Instead, it sounds like….chill bro. There is so much more than success, work and winning… Join us in the valley of mediocracy (at best)….
Just my 2 cents
I’m 25 years old, with seven figures of cash and liquid investments in the bank (with all the tax paid on it) and six figures coming in every year. Still got a lot of earning to do, and a lot of life to experience. I also live in a part of the world with a comparatively low cost of living but a great quality of life.
My net worth comes from the sale of a business that I built from nothing at all, not even investment capital, so you can believe that I know the value of hard work, and I know what it’s like to experience success and winning. I also know that accumulating cash doesn’t solve all your problems.
Roberto,
Enjoy the ride.
When you’re ready, call me. Or Victor.
Max
“Todos somos cobardes antes de ser bravos.”
“We’re all cowards before we become brave.”
Yeah but the thing is, how much richer would you be if you didn’t smoke pot?
The only loser i see here is you mate!
Outlier talk
Do you actually say that as if it were an achievement?
LOL! DUDE!
You could probably be making 140k a month, had you not been smoking weed.
140k per year in the US is not an achievement. Sorry.
Interesting comment from a cognitively challenged keyboard warrior who most likely works in fucking McDonalds. Seriously, stop with the posturing. 140k a year is enough for most people especially those who can leverage a cheaper location. You’d live like a king in most southeast Asian countries on that salary. Most of all, learn to stop being a judgemental cunt.
You can waste your time arguing about things you don’t even understand.
Or you can invest your time doing the 30 Days of Discipline program.
Your choice.
Sorry to shutter your expectations, but I’m a self made multi millionaire. My Instagram is @damianprosa
How not? It’s not considered rich, but it certainly is the upper bracket of income. It is also said that anything over $50,000 doesn’t improve quality of life by much.
Ahh, finally a post about weed. I am not very religious, but my religion prohibits alcohol or any kind of addiction. I can see why.
Perhaps I am labeled as boring because I do not party, smoke, drink nor smoke weed. But I like having a clear mind and being focused on myself.
Keep up your amazing work, Victor. You are an inspiration to many men.
“I do not party, smoke, drink nor smoke weed. But I like having a clear mind and being focused on myself.”
The only way to be. These people who think you boring will envy you later in life and ask you, “how did yo do it?”
I know what you mean. They think you’re nuts for not being nuts and addicted to a drug.
Everyone I know who smokes a lot of weed all have the same things in common. No ambition, very unproductive, usually broke.
I’ve experimented with it and I find it’s not for me. What do you when you smoke weed? Watch movies, play video games, lounge around. I hate those things and pot heads do this every single day.
I’m a millennial and an artist and weed is very popular within my community. I understand it can help creativity expand but truth is, it’s just another bad habit that’s taking all your money. Take it from someone who is experienced.
“What do you when you smoke weed?”
The exact opposite of damn good business.
Well aint this a bunch of lies.
I wont get into ALL of those writers, creators, musicians….etc who changed the world with their art and YES they all smoked weed ( and beyond)
Let me not talk about the Maya Civilization who smoked weed and were smarter than us. How could you even explain their complete solar system ahead of us.
But sure all of them are losers I guess……..
You should look into Nikola Tesla and his theory about people with too much muscle mass.
The reality is too much of something is not good for you. Too much drinking, too much protein, too much working out…..
Weed can heal just about anything as a matter of fact a lot of athletes smoke weed but I am sure Michael Phelps is also a loser….
FYI : Runner’s high triggers the same part of the brain as MARIJUANA: Study finds exercise activates our cannabinoid receptors
But I guess you guys are allowed to boost yourself with testosterone, steroid and all that crap but weed is the devil.
Smoke some and chill out for a minute. Damn!
“Runner’s high triggers the same part of the brain as MARIJUANA”
Then go for a run.
lmao of course but you can do both.
Run. eat healthy then smoke some.
To me there is nothing better for muscle recovery than smoking some.
I have to agree on something though, if you spend your day smoking then yes you are a loser.
I dont do that. I smoke when I can and want to. I havent smoked in weeks but could very well do so tomorrow if I have time and want to.
Its all about balance and knowing what works for you.
Still enjoying reading you. You have a strong opinion and I like that even if we dont agree on everything : )
“Well aint this a bunch of lies.
I wont get into ALL of those writers, creators, musicians….etc who changed the world with their art and YES they all smoked weed ( and beyond)”
And WHO exactly you mean? Because I CAN’T find a decent song. A song that is not about unrequited love.
What masculine man have desire for sex and don’t have sex with that woman, instead write a sad song about love?
“Let me not talk about the Maya Civilization who smoked weed and were smarter than us. How could you even explain their complete solar system ahead of us.
But sure all of them are losers I guess……..”
Their civilization don’t exist. They smoke weed. Hmm.

“Everything in moderation, including moderation” - Oscar Wilde
… the only problem is that most people can’t stick with moderation.
Thanks for doing all of the research on this. It’s very interesting.
Another huge problem, especially in the United States, is the huge amount of legal (and illegal) addiction to prescription drugs. Just because a doctor prescribes stuff to people they think it’s ok to take it.
I can’t wait to see the comments on this article though!
All the best,
D
“Another huge problem, especially in the United States, is the huge amount of legal (and illegal) addiction to prescription drugs. Just because a doctor prescribes stuff to people they think it’s ok to take it.”
We will soon start seeing huge rises in weed addiction in California, Colorado, Washington etc for this very reason.
That’s a good point: The fact that legalization is being rolled out on a state by state basis should make it easy to compare the effects with states where it’s still illegal.
If anybody is looking for a business idea, here is one that will be booming: weed rehab, how to quit weed. etc. You are going to see a mega increase in people addicted to weed and in need of help for it.
That’s a good idea. There is BIG money in rehab.
Bold and Determined Rehab Centers: Based in Thailand/Vietnam where it’s cheaper to run them.
Uncle Vic can yell at all the little stoners and make them lift iron to sweat out all the THC.
Now very long time reader that wants to have the honor of asking the question.
Ive been smokin and drinkin on a weekly basis before i go out n have a good time.
U ever got high Unc Vic?
You couldn’t pay me 10 billion dollars to get high, man.
Lol, appreciate the hyperbolic humor but yes, you would.
I like 90% of your blog, but you destroy all credibility with that lie. If someone legit offered you 10 billion dollars to get high once, you know you would grab that joint. If you say no, then you either are a liar who should not be listened to, or are an idiot and have someone else writing your articles.
There is a saying where I come from ” don’t measure others with your own measure” yes… it would be something like that translated. The thing is some men are better than others… they have ideals and are ready to die for them. Find me one extremely faithful and obedient christian ( they are rare so you probably won’t find any) that is ready to take part in a satanic ritual for a trillion billion dollars and I’ll believe that men that are your betters can be measured as you can.
Maybe you are right but… You never know!!
Or maybe just maybe Vic have balls!!
I never smoked weed and I absolutley never will.
Even so this post of you gave me a new & different perspective of this topic.
You are a true full colour artist in this world.
Thanks brother!
My man!
I was 29 years old and my lower back hurt so bad due to my 32 degree scoliosis curve that I had to walk with a cane. Sometimes, after pushing my pain limits, I’d even have to leave my cart of groceries in the store and just go home because it hurt so bad.
Two years ago my wife and I moved to Colorado and we have used cannabis and yoga to heal our bodies inside and out.
I use cannabis every day and work as the main accountant for a major cannabis business in Colorado, invest in income producing assets, and have several production projects is various stages of development.
I’d say without cannabis I’d still be walking with a cane or worse, and crying in pain everyday instead of being able to kick ass every day.
Did you ever think maybe it was the yoga that actually healed your debilitating physical pain and not smoking a drug?
When medication is used to mask pain, be it weed or opiates, the pain returns with a “rebound” effect after the drug wears off, making it appear worse.
Pain meds = More pain
I know his from experience having had an ankle replacement this year.
Without the healing effects of cannabinoids and terpenes from the cannabis plant I would not have even been able to begin my yoga practice. Are you even aware of the endocannabinoid system that all mammals have?
An endocannabinoid deficiency could be a contributing factor to ailments such as fibromyalgia, IBS, and migraines and more as studies are done.
The cannabinoids within the cannabis plant fit to these receptors in our endocannabinoid system like unique puzzle pieces. There are over 100 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant! And more are being discovered as research continues.
Each cannabinoid brings its own profile and effects.
The reason most people become passionate about cannabis after they try it is because they quickly realize all the lies propagated to demonize it are not true.
At least in my case, but I was never a lazy ass hole to begin with.
You also assume everyone who uses it use it because they are depressed low life scum, but there are obviously people out there who use it as a tool to improve their life.
You hating on something you don’t understand is like some feminist hating on testosterone replacement therapy.
“An endocannabinoid deficiency could be a contributing factor to ailments such as fibromyalgia, IBS, and migraines and more as studies are done.”
1) An endocannabinoid deficiency - there is no such thing.
2) Fibromyalgia, IBS, and migraines are all caused by drugs, they are not natural. You’re using drugs to treat illness caused by drugs. Just leave the drugs alone and the ailments will go away.
“Just leave the drugs alone and the ailments will go away.”
- Victor it is literally the opposite lol. I did not use cannabis and then all of a sudden I have scoliosis and pain… I have pain due to scoliosis and the cannabis helped the ailment…
You just said leave the cannabis also and the aliment goes away - but the reality the ailment was first, cannabis was introduced to my life, aliment go away.
Have you become this dull? Maybe you have an endocannabinoid deficiency. It might help with your brain fog.
“Victor it is literally the opposite lol. I did not use cannabis and then all of a sudden I have scoliosis and pain… You just said leave the cannabis also and the aliment goes away – but the reality the ailment was first, cannabis was introduced to my life, aliment go away.”
There are more drugs than one. Nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, the list is endless. Drugs cause ailment and that is that.
Alright, anyone could agree with that. What does that got to do with anything? We are talking about:
1. Scoliosis, which was not caused by me doing drugs, that causes so much severe pain that I had to use a cane, which was alieaveated after being introduced to daily cannabis, which allowed me to do crazy thing like yoga.
2. Then, after using cannabis for myself I can attest all the mumbo jumbo about it being the devil is absolute reefer madness propaganda.
3. So, if using cannabis on a daily basis is so terrible, how is it that I am the accountant for the largest cannabis business in North America, own income producing assets, and have several other projects going on in various stages of development, again, if cannabis is the devil and not beneficial?
“if using cannabis on a daily basis is so terrible, how is it that I am the accountant for the largest cannabis business”
How is it possible that you use cannabis and also work for a cannabis business? Mystery. Re-read everything when you are sober because everything I said is crystal clear and have a nice day.
Fibromyalgia is a bit of a suspect/make-uppy ailment alright. The other two IBS and migraines can be caused by factors other than drugs. Amazing how the weed addicts are so convinced that their poison cures so many ailments and is side effect free - They lie to justify their addiction.
“Fibromyalgia is a bit of a suspect/make-uppy ailment alright.”
Fibromyalgia = the natural consequence of never exercising.
“The other two IBS and migraines can be caused by factors other than drugs.”
I think these are both caused by caffeine, which actually is quite a strong drug.
Go a month without weed.
How is your pain?
Go another month without weed and also without yoga?
How is your pain?
Did either actually heal you or did you just pacify your disease?
Get a scoliosis x-ray after the two-month mark, did your curve improve?
Let me know if your back pain starts creeping back.
At the least google “Schroth Method” and start hunting down some stuff that will improve your life.
Those that quit smoking weed are left with a sense of regret for having wasted so much time getting high -Better to never smoke in the first place.
Great post, Vic.
Masterfully crafted piece that will convert those who can see through the haze.
Nope, I enjoyed the 5 months of pot smoking I did. Not every day. Like 3~4 times a week? I haven’t smoked for like a year now. Never developed an addiction. Just tapered off naturally without anyone forcing it on me. But the insights I got and the pleasure I received from smoking bud… I enjoyed them and I don’t regret them :)
The problem with this article is that it is so black and white.
…and WHOOPS. Guess WHO enjoys smoking weed daily and is more successful than anyone here… Dorian Yates? Joe Rogan (net worth 25M+)? WHOOPS.
Life isn’t so black and white, Victor. Be open minded.
Brilliant article, this should be circulated in schools all over the world.
I will bet my house the incidence of paranoid schizophrenia among teenagers has rocketed in the states where it has been legalized.
The damage done by paranoid schizophrenia on teenage minds cannot be fully recovered from.
“Brilliant article, this should be circulated in schools all over the world.”
The schools today are too busy teaching the kids how to smoke bongs.
“The damage done by paranoid schizophrenia on teenage minds cannot be fully recovered from.”
One theory I have is that paranoid schizophrenia isn’t real on it’s own. As in, it doesn’t exist outside of drug usage. Where you find a paranoid schizo, you ALWAYS find weed if you look deep enough. So if there were no drugs involved = no paranoid schizophrenia. This is the real side effect of weed.
You are correct, I would broadly say hallucinogenic drugs, most commonly the culprit is weed as it is falsely peddled as being harmless. Ten or so years ago I was working in a hospital in the UK, I’ll never forget this guy I came across (I was reviewing his medication history). He asked me where he was as he had no idea how he got there. Turned out he smoked weed at a party and walked 50 miles naked in the freezing cold from another city. He was literally a zombie. As he was a teenager the damage done to his brain was irreparable. YOUNG MINDS ARE TOO PRECIOUS TO BE RUINED BY THIS POISON.

Yikes!
It flabbergasts me how weed is viewed as harmless. It is one of the worst.
I’ve always been against weed because I don’t like the fact that it shoots up your estrogen levels (hence anxiety attacks). Plus it makes you feel like a lazy bum, which you stated.
The article was well thought out and had sources at the bottom (good).
If it insults you, well, too bad. That’s the weed doing the talking.
Thanks Victor!!
“I’ve always been against weed because I don’t like the fact that it shoots up your estrogen levels (hence anxiety attacks).”
Great point, I forgot to mention it. Marijuana RAISES your estrogen levels!
Make a point to put it in. Add a note to lifters too.
Gotta keep them drugged up so they don’t get too big and masculine right?
But Victor what about if you only do it at night to help you sleep. After you have completed all your daily tasks?
“But Victor what about if you only do it at night to help you sleep. After you have completed all your daily tasks?”
Messes up your sleep friend, inhibits REM. Doing yourself another disservice. Can’t sleep, smoke weed, weed inhibits deep sleep, get even more tired, smoke more weed, repeat.
Good point
So True and it’s part of the reason why alcoholics and weed addicts are psychotic - they never sleep properly.
“So True and it’s part of the reason why alcoholics and weed addicts are psychotic – they never sleep properly.”
Yes, the more honest I am with myself the more I realize how absolutely vital good sleep is for well-being and if you don’t have it, well, time for the looney bin.
What if you have insomnia and it helps you fall asleep and get a good night rest? Would you recommend It?
No.
While I agree that weed reduces drive and ambition, I think that the definition of medicine that you present is not accurate. Think about Aspirin, it is a drug, medication.. it relieves pain temporarily, you will need to re-dose, maybe you will eventually need to add another painkiller. So your differentiation between a drug and medicine is not clear. I think everything is a drug, with the difference between pharmaceutical grade drugs and street drugs. Now weed is produced in a pharmaceutical grade and it does serve good purposes: it relieves deep pain otherwise needed to use opiates, for example.
Jose, you haven’t a balls notion of what you are talking about. “Now weed is produced in a pharmaceutical grade”.
Oh really so you can tell me the exact dose of THC in each joint, you can tell me the potency of this drug and the side effects?
You are getting “Pharmaceutical grade” mixed up with “grows super skunk”.
Yes there are medications with cannabinoids in them but don’t conflate that with licensed medicines.
Hey there!
This is not related to the post but I just want to let you know that I’ve sent you a message about my Social Media Proposal. I hope you to take time reading it till the end.
Thanks!
Sincerely yours,
Zef
I didn’t read it because I don’t use social media and have not for many months.
I sent you a new message today with all the details. Just give it a quick read and you’ll see what I have to offer.
The answer is no.
I’d would be interested in your reasoning for that - possibly an article?
Many thanks
Victor
“I’d would be interested in your reasoning for that – possibly an article?”
We’ll see about an article but the reasoning is simple: social media doesn’t do anything for business. It is an illusion of popularity, it is not a business builder. If I wanted to pretend to be famous I’d focus on social media, if I wanted to make money I’d focus on email. I get 10 emails per day from social media salesmen who know nothing about business and are after a short term “like.” They have zero understanding of the long game of real business and I’ve got zero patience for them. Social media salesmen are like the people who try to show you all the good things about weed, ignoring the elephant in the room - weed is garbage in the first place. It’s a short term kick. After your kick is over, you are not any better than when you started. Usually, you are worse.
Thank you for the explanation. I understand your reasons for not wanting to use social media especially Instagram. Nowadays, it’s mostly used by people who fell prey to the illusion of fame, that’s why I really thought your blog will benefit them more.
It took me 3 months to prepare the proposal just for B & D but it seems it’ll never get a chance to be read. Anyways, I just want to let you know that I’m offering my help for free if ever.
-Zef
Victor. We had a disagreement on your meditation article. But I definitely think an article written by you on social media would be golden. You strike me as the type of person who regards social media as a complete waste of time and perhaps even detrimental. How about a “why to get the fuck off social media” article?
I really thought of buying your book for myself as well as my sons who are 25, 26 and 30. The more articles I read from you the more I get turned off! Ted Turner smoked a joint a day when he founded CNN, Steve Jobs as well. Bill Gates, Oprah. Not to mention countless others! If you are bold and determined you are bold and determined weed would only make you more bold and determined! Look at Snoop! You think he has nothing going on?? You are who you are, if you are a nerd and smoke your a nerd that smokes. You are really getting out there lately with your articles but if it’s working bringing in your your followers then it’s working for you so what can I say.
First off, no Snoop doesn’t have anything going on, it’s all done for him and his face is put out there as the front man. Same deal with the Dr. Dre Beats headphones. He’s another pothead.
Second, the weed those people you mentioned smoked was less than 1/10th potent as what is grown today thanks to the magic of genetic modification. Their weed had 1.6% THC, today common strains reach into the 20% range and beyond.
“Second, the weed those people you mentioned smoked was less than 1/10th potent as what is grown today thanks to the magic of genetic modification. Their weed had 1.6% THC, today common strains reach into the 20% range and beyond.”
This is very important to remember. The stuff today is not natural in any way. This is not stuff that was plucked from the ground, this was grown in a lab. It is extremely potent and should be avoided.
“This is very important to remember. The stuff today is not natural in any way. This is not stuff that was plucked from the ground, this was grown in a lab. It is extremely potent and should be avoided”.
Exactly, and these weed addicts are same morons who would insist on eating Organic and saving the planet while they poison themselves with gmo weed.
Snoop has a net worth of $135 Million…. I’d say he has a lot going on!
“Their weed had 1.6% THC, today common strains reach into the 20% range and beyond.” - Most likely why Ted Turner smoked multiple joints a day. Now he can select the proper strain and consume much less.
If you’re weak, you’re weak. If you’re strong, you’re strong. If you have ambition, you have ambition. Marijuana changes none of the above mentioned. If anything, I’d argue it aids in recharging your “batteries”.
“Snoop has a net worth of $135 Million…”
Utter nonsense.
“Marijuana changes none of the above mentioned.”
If marijuana changes nothing, why use it? Rhetorical.
Recharge those “batteries” after a 14hr work banger. Find the strain that’s appropriate and I think you would be pleasantly surprised, my friend
“Recharge those “batteries” after a 14hr work banger.”
Nature provides this, it is called sleep.
When you want success as badly as you want to breathe it can be very tough to turn the “machine” off causing production levels to drop significantly. I’m sure you can relate
“I really thought of buying your book for myself as well as my sons who are 25, 26 and 30.”
Give me their email addresses, I’ll send them all the books for free. They need some real guidance.
A study conducted by BDS Analytics looked at 2,000 weed users and abstainers from California and Colorado, across a range mental, social and financial factors to assess their satisfaction levels, employment details and their attitudes towards parenting.
And far from the stereotypes around pot heads being low achieving, in California researchers found that 20% of weed consumers had MAs – compared to just 12% of abstainers. When it came to household income, consumers brought in an average of $93,800 compared to the $70,000 of abstainers.
And in Colorado, the results were equally interesting. 64% of pot users were in full-time jobs compared to 54% of non-users nad nearly half of them said that they were more satisfied today than they were a year ago – compared to 40% of abstainers.
In both states, far more cannabis consumers said they liked doing outdoor activities than non-users, and a greater percentage also took part in volunteering projects.
Obviously we can all find arguments to support both sides but to each is own. Open your mind = open your 🌎!
“A study conducted by BDS Analytics looked at 2,000 weed users and abstainers from California and Colorado, across a range mental, social and financial factors to assess their satisfaction levels, employment details and their attitudes towards parenting.”

Weed is bad but take 3 Red PCT capsules a day for 3 weeks every day to get your estrogen levels down! $49.00 a bottle! LMAO Hypocrite!
“Weed is bad but take 3 Red PCT capsules a day for 3 weeks every day to get your estrogen levels down! $49.00 a bottle!”
Yes, that’s exactly correct, thanks for pointing it out.
Weed increases your estrogen levels, which is why potheads are always sensitive cry-babies, Red-PCT which will bring your estrogen levels back down to normal. You can buy it here: https://redsupplements.com/product/red-pct/ (out of stock at this moment)
Weed does not increase estrogen levels in Men, Victor. I’d encourage your team to do a little more research before posting false info. Slightly ignorant for a publication of this magnitude….
Of course weed increases estrogen.
There are no scientific studies that suggest that marijuana use may play a role in endocrine disruption and estrogen levels. I’d challenge you and your team to find a study conducted by a replicable source
“There are no scientific studies that suggest that marijuana use may play a role in endocrine disruption and estrogen levels. I’d challenge you and your team to find a study conducted by a replicable source”
Have 10 male potheads take off their shirts, then measure their bra size.
Funny but not backed by any scientific research
Just for those wanting direct evidence here is a paper stating that the conclusion is that it inhibits testosterone.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed
It’s behind a paywall but Jerry Brainum has done some independent research into the effects of marijuana on bodybuildders and the studies he’s found all conclude that marijuana will in fact raise estrogen levels. This is inside is Applied Metabolics newsletter.

Why a regular stoner always look like a zombie [ánd has the same tone of voice] ?
Make we wonder how much *good* is marijuana for men.
Vic,
what about Kratom, what is your opinion?
//btw i dont smoke it, just normal cigs sometimes//
So no red monkey then? Speaking of harsh drugs…
Red Monkey is side effect free, that is the great benefit.
Phenibut is not side effect free and can be dangerous if not used carefully. Phenibut is the main ingredient in red monkey. I encourage everybody to research phenibut and understand what they’re getting into. I’ve found kratom much less harsh and works just as good as phenibut.
I couldn’t help but notice that your article “How I Became Happy, Calm and Motivated by Using Kratom” has been taken down.
Have you changed your stance on that?
Yes, that is correct.
First, you wrote about meditation. Now, you come up with marijuana. Is alcohol the next step? It would be great.
“First, you wrote about meditation. Now, you come up with marijuana. Is alcohol the next step? It would be great.”
Perhaps I may write that article. I do support that premise that you should never drink alcohol.
I would like an article on alcohol Vic.
Thanks.
I quit alcohol because it gave me terrible stomach pain a day or two after, in the left lower part, the symptoms are that of Irritable Bowel Syndrome as I found on the web. That, and I got beat up pretty badly by local hooligans when I was drunk and I promised myself I would never let anyone catch me slippin’ like that.
“I promised myself I would never let anyone catch me slippin’ like that.”
My man. This is exactly what happens each time you get drunk or high, you let yourself slip away. These are always the time “bad luck” seems to happen to you.
I haven’t drank in two years and have naturally developed a pity for those that do. I hear all the same excuses from them as potheads.
I’d love to see an article on alcohol.
Fuck yeah. I smoked a lot in high school and it was great: laughing at everything made everything more interesting, sex was better. Then one day it just gave me anxiety and I felt dumb and depressed. I see people around me getting high in my work setting thinking it relaxes them. When in reality it makes them slow and forgetful.all the while I’m running circles around them producing 10 times more work and productivity a.ka. more money
My ex weed dealer earlier this year killed himself. Shot himself three times in the head. The weed he got was super strong he also took wax which is pure THC crystal and I heard he would take pills and some coke. He messed up twice shooting himself and was so messed up he kept going. I have nothing good to say about weed having been an addict for over a decade and also getting to a point where I contemplated suicide because of the shit. Yeah at first it seems great more relaxed, better sex, etc but given time it lowers sex drive, will, ambition, and raises anxiety and depression. The most important thing I have regained is the ability to think clearly, strength, sex drive, will power, motivation….
I grew up with a lot of weed smoking friends and I smoked weed but stopped 3-4 years ago because I was turning into fat low t loser with anxiety and paranoia. The only ones that benefit from weed are weed dealers, and that is questionable because most of them smoke away their own earnings. I recently cut off my stoner friends because they were talking bad things about me behind my back, jealous of my online marketing success while they borrow money to buy weed to smoke.
Good for you man. Keep up the good work.
Then what do you do for fun Victor?
You don’t smoke, drink, get high, etc.
What exactly are you going to achieve by just keep making money?
Isn’t that a kind of addiction too?
Workaholics are pyschotics too.
Smoking and drinking and getting high in moderation is a great way to take a break from the stressors of life and to recharge your batteries so you can work with more enthusiasm.
I agree that hardcore addiction is definitely wrong but indulging moderately can actually be very healthy, especially mentally.
“Then what do you do for fun Victor?”
Make money.
“Smoking and drinking and getting high in moderation is a great way to take a break from the stressors of life and to recharge your batteries so you can work with more enthusiasm.”
I do not want to take a break from life and if I did, those things are absolutely not pleasant. This is the biggest misconception - THEY DO NOT HELP YOU RELAX!
Agreed, Kush! Moderation is the key.
Medicine as you call it that is given to you from the pharmaceutical mafia has way more negative side effects than any plant. Every year thousands of people die because of prescription drugs and millions get diseases of the liver and blood from putting these toxins in your body. You think medicine is better than a plant? Ok smoke or eat a pound of weed and see what happens. Then take a pound of any prescription drug, oh uh I mean medicine, and see what happens. Prescription drugs are toxic to the human body that why 20 pills instead of 1 pill kills you.
“You think medicine is better than a plant?”
No. Drugs are drugs.
My point was lets see you bash all the pharmaceutical drugs people take before bashing weed. Also we have seen people die from steroids and have complications from HGH but you promote those. We are all a little bit hypocritical Victor. Join the club.
I’ve been waiting for an intelligent comment that he couldn’t figure out an answer to and I just gotta say, bravo Jim. Bravo.
Even if weed does cause you to become a burnout atleast it doesn’t reek havoc on your body like alcohol or pretty much any other drug (excluding psychedelics). So if people want to get intoxicated (and they will, forever) they should use the healthiest substance available, which is weed.
Also An estimated 88,0009 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women9) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making alcohol the fourth leading preventable cause of death in the United States. In 2014, alcohol-impaired driving fatalities accounted for 9,967 deaths (31 percent of overall driving fatalities). No one has ever died from weed. Maybe from being high and stupid, but never just high.
I covered this in the article. Look in the section entitled “But Victor, alcohol is WORSE than weed!”
love you buddy
Vic i love ya and your work but i gotta say you’re a little off on this one.
I used to be somewhat of a pothead and I completely agree with you that it kills motivation. For the most part you can’t smoke and be successful which is why I quit. To all the idiots coming out of the wood work just to give one example of a guy who smokes and isn’t a fuck up well congratulations, they’re the exception - not the rule. Generally speaking pot smokers are fucking losers. If you try and argue that point you’re only rationalizing it to yourself.
However during my time spent as a pot smoker I did do quite a bit of research into the medical benefits of canabis out of curiosity (and likely to justify my own usage) and found more than a few studies detailing it’s therapeutic effects for many kinds of afflictions. I’ll spare you the breakdown but the plant itself is incredibly complex and has been proven and used to help people struggling with various types of illness - its adverse effects on cancer development being the most notable. Saying it has no medical benefits is just being disingenuous and thats not even covering all the industrial uses the plant has. You can grow and harvest the stuff to make paper, rope, fabric, fuel ect for a fraction of the time and price it takes using other materials.
But again, all the retards hear this and use it to justify toking up as “taking their medicine” and “helping out the planet” as if sitting there being a stoned, lazy piece of shit somehow promotes medical research or conservation efforts.
TL:DR weed does have medical benefits, just not to lazy worthless stoners.
You said it yourself friend, the “medical benefits” of pot exist to justify the pothead’s usage of pot.
Then how come it stops seizures in children or shakes for people with Parkinson’s disease? As far as weed making you a loser well, Arnold Schwarzenegger must be a loser as well then huh? What about Joe Rogan? Just 2 examples of men that are beasts & might I say much more successful than you & your ignorant rants. I get it, you’re a con artist. You don’t know the facts nor do you care.
Yes the mind should be fully developed, 25 y/o before messing with anything for the most part. This article is complete garbage. If you’re a lazy fuck you’re going to be one regardless of marijuana use. Grow up.
Didn’t you say you were going to keep using your real name & Vic was gone. Keep selling wolf tickets. Intelligent people see through your shit. Done with your lies.
I think this one of the most unselfish posts I have read. Bravo.
I agree with Davy Haynes. This is a good message specially for young males.
During my youth I used to smoke marijuana. Eventually I suffered a psychotic episode and a mental breakdown. You can not turn back time, but you can advice the next generation.
I always avoided weed because I hate the smell. But yeah, every person you see who advertises that they smoke weed is a loser. I know people who’d rather smoke and do nothing than quit smoking to pass a drug test and work. It’s fuckin’ pathetic.
PS - anytime you see a shirt or flag or whatever with Bob Marley on it, ask them to name five Marley songs. They can’t. Marley =/= reggae music, he = weed culture.
my man has nailed it again. victor always research his work to a tee and backed it with proof and statistics.
great article bro, personally, I’ve never have a taste of marijuana before due to my religion believe system and environmental result we’ve seen from people that smoke it.
this blog post come handy as a tenable site. thanks for the relentless effort in making the world a better place man.
I’ve been a working musician for 25 years. My response to this:
Well said.
I’ll bet you have so many stories to tell. In my opinion, I would bet that weed has been the silent killer of so many great artist’s creativity, talent and output.
To keep it short, guys like Henry Rollins, Mike Patton, or even, goofy as the music was, Jay Jay French and Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, are VERY few. At least to my experience.
This article is spot on, people should listen, I know from experience.
When I was a lot younger I fell for that whole “weed is just harmless fun” crap. I wasted 3 years smoking that shit, going nowhere in my life, staying a lazy loser. In the end I started to get panic attacks, and I finally realised how weed screws your life up. Wish I’d been sharp enough to catch on sooner.
Of course I kicked it all to the curb straight away, and my life improved immediately. I’ve never been tempted to smoke it again, why would I intentionally make my life worse?
Don’t be another weed haggled loser! Especially if you’re young, or at any age really, don’t waste your precious time.
Great article as always Uncle Vic,
My brother and mother smoke weed all the time even together. I wonder why I don’t want to interact with them, you filled in the puzzle piece that was missing.
My brother and mother are both lazy slobs and their lives are depressing, no wonder both of them are depressed.
I used to smoke weed (for maybe 8 months or so) and realized all of the above symptoms you speak of and I said to myself ‘do i want to live like this?’
I cut out my pot smoking friends and never looked back.
You the man, and I applaud you for this article.
Oh and i’m sure a bunch of stoners are stupid enough to try and fight this article and give out lines and lines of BS on why it’s okay to smoke…all LOSERS.
RhinoRyan
“My brother and mother smoke weed all the time even together.”
My condolences.
Hey Victor!
Great article as usual!
I’m from India and there is not much of a problem with weed here for the most part. However, the plant did originate here and is part of local culture and religion, especially in northern India.
However, the use of cannabis, called ‘bhang’ and ‘ganja’ here, was mostly limited to religious events, particularly by sages. Even the religious people limited it to special occasions. These days, with the influence of hollywood and all the degenerate nonsense which constantly spews from it; think of Snoop Dogg and ‘Smoke Weed Everyday!’, … there are a lot of young people who are getting hooked on this.
So it was good to see you talking about this.
You could have also added about the medical benefits of cannabis, when used in the proper manner, which is to say, by isolating its active ingredients, as opposed to smoking it wholesale. Which means that just because it ‘may’ help in treating or curing diseases, it should not be permitted to be used by people. Even if it did treat or cure something, it is not an excuse to use it, since that would again be, ‘drug abuse’ …
A few years back, a buddy of mine landed a nice tech job around Silicon Valley. Mid 6 figures. Very bright guy. Then he started smoking weed and ultimately ended up quitting his job to ‘do his own thing’. Of course his vision was hazy. No clear vision before jumping ship. He never started his own business.
We fell out of touch as all he began to talk about was weed and how great it was. He was spending $100s / week on marijuana. Mind you, he had no medical conditions to “cure”.
Luckily for him, he’s back working again but at a lower position. And lost years of momentum. It was a valuable lesson on what NOT to do.
I just don’t understand how you can be a proponent of Steriods and So against Marijuana use, do the research on long term steroid use vs long time Marijuana use! I am not bashing anyone who chosen to use steriods, I know several on steriods who are now in their 50’s and 60’s who are now having heart attacks left and right. One of my closest friends is a self made multi millionaire and he is almost 60 in excellent shape and has been smoking 3 tokes every night since he was 18 years old! I agree with the open your mind comment!!
All you ever need is to look at the bodies of weed users. Every single one of them.
If that is what you want to look like, then go ahead.
Oh yeah and don’t forget possible prison time (at least if you are in the states).
And then your problem gets more painful and deeper.
DorianYates is an weed user and was when he won the His titles! B&D just recently posted his workout and diet! He used weed back then he uses it now! He has done interviews stating this!
Yea, he smoked on Joe Rogen’s show, yet another lazy out of shape stoner.
What a bunch of bullcrap! Ive seen people who have a drive for success more than anyone and they’re all pot head. I feel motivated when i smoke..i workout when I’m high.
It depends on who smokes it and who can channel the high to focus on what they want. And addiction?? Seriously?? I smoke weed for 2 months straight and quit like i never did it at all. You dont like it? Dont smoke!! Dont fill others with your opinion mate. People don’t listen to anyone but them anyway
When I broke up with a pothead girlfriend a part of me was relieved I wouldn’t be tempted to smoke anymore.
Everything you said about drugs in general is true. Feeding any (non-nootropic) drug just makes life harder for yourself. And it kills your drive and productivity.
Hell, I still get the occasional craving for a cigarette - I haven’t had one since April ’16. But like you more or less said - fuck that shit.
Vick how do you look at it like treating it like the rest of civilization views alcohol, where if you only smoke one or two hits a day, just like drinking one or two beverages, it’s better than obviously doing alot. Obviously there both bad, so you just have one or two of either.. But you obviously never do productive work in the most productive time of the day under the influence of either. I just stick with coffee during that point and I also hit the weights 4 to 6 days a week on average, and am a solid 45 Rock solid pounds heavier than I was before I started lifting 4 years all natural.
Thanks alot to the articles you wrote is how I got my lifting/eating/business advice so I’ll give you a cheers with a thirsty Thursday Jack and diet aspartame Free drink I’m sipping on b4 bed. Only had one, but dude thanks to your advice I made a $1000 sale yesterday on Craigslist within an hour and a half of posting.
“Vick how do you look at it like treating it like the rest of civilization views alcohol, where if you only smoke one or two hits a day”
Absolute nonsense, same as being addicted.
Yeah I definitely see your point, I know alot of people who need it, just like alot of people rush to get their 5:00 beverage in. Definitely both are bad habits.
As always great writing Vic.
What are your thoughts on Arnold Schwarzenegger. He’s on record smoking weed and has achieved great success?
There is so much ignorance and misinformation in this article its hard to know where to begin. But I will address the medicinal value and a few other points. While smoking it has virtually none, except in vapor form to alleviate the effects of chemotherapy and AIDS, THC & CBD (two of the active chemicals in it) most certainly do. It can reduce the tremors in people with Parkinson’s, help alleviate symptoms of MS, helps with PTSD, seizures (do a five minute YouTube search of children who knew nothing but seizures until administration of CBD oil and tell me it is worthless) top name a few. Like all things, moderation is key. And also route and means of administration. If one is already a motivated individual, it will not make you unmotivated. If one is already lazy however, it will make you more lazy. I also feel safe saying there are many successful CEOs, past & present who have used it (Steve Jobs & Bill Gates come to mind). A blanket statement that no successful CEOs have ever smoked is just disingenuous. As for the loser part of this, I will leave you with this historical fact. Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence and the greatest mind America has ever seen, if not the world, was, by his own admission in his memoirs, a regular smoker. In fact, if you really read to Declaration, it almost sounds as if he was stoned when he wrote it. Was he a loser? Was he unmotivated? Or was he centuries ahead of his time and one of the greatest Presidents ever? You are entitled to your opinion, but that is all this article is. Opinion, with an overwhelming stench of self-righteousness, and a few selective sources linked in. Experts are usually anything but, and there are myriad studies out that prove 99% of this false. Normally love your writings, but this is just plain garbage.
What is worse than the drug itself are the users. I’ve coined the term “Cannabis Preachers”, because once it’s discovered that you don’t smoke pot or if you show the slightest disdain for it, you will get a poorly worded sermon of reasons why you are wrong and they are right.
The saddest observation in my case is seeing marijuana destroy friends I’ve known. My own brothers have taken use of it thanks to the deadalive pot sucking friends they keep. I’m trying to get them to stop smoking, but it’s difficult. Marijuana replaces reason with apathy and establishing a non-committed life to almost anyone or anything. It dilutes the red blood and the potential of a person and creates a lesser, non living impostor version that becomes stillborn in spirit.
That’s just my abstract observation.
I can vouch that weed makes you a loser. I’d still go out and socialize, date, etc but lacked an edge I lost and never got around to starting the business I said I would start or flip a house. Luckily I never got busted by the law or the place I was working since I didn’t look like a pothead but the anxiety of covering my tracks was unbearable. Not to mention the money I was burning which was $500-800 a month was horrible. I fought that addiction hard going back and forth for years. Some how I maintained a athletic body with low body fat but my mentally was completely shit. I used a unconventional method to break my weed addiction after struggling for years with it which is my experience and not advice. On Danger and Play Mike talked about MDA didn’t use that but following a rabbit trail to other sites I learned about mushrooms. I looked into that and found out that hallucinaginics where being used to treat opiod addicts. I tried them in a chocolate candy. With a calm environment, classical music and intent on understanding why I was a pothead I finally stopped smoking and had no desire for it. It took me about four times with the mushrooms over a two to three month span and it wasn’t always pleasant since it made me focus on demons I always ignored. Now I’ve been clean for over a year haven’t had a desire for mushrooms either, they really make you focus on something’s in your life you don’t want to. After a decade of smoking shit things are finally coming through. Have a short sale house I’m flipping finally and e-commerce. Please don’t even think weed is harmless it is a bitch once your addicted and eventually will make you suicidal. I smoked all from 23-34 don’t waste a decade and good friendships like I did please.
Oh and for those who say it helps you sleep it’s true it can knock you out but it also disturbs the rem sleep cycle which you have to have to help with memory retention. Hardly ever dreamed when I smoked now I have multiple dreams a night and much better memory recall.
My man! (stay away from the shrooms though)
Oh yeah. I don’t ever want to see those things again and weed again.
Regardless of what potheads in the comments say, and regardless of whether what you say is even true…
You’re setting an excellent example for the impressionable young men who read this blog - and see you, Vic, as a hero.
Thanks for what you do, bro.
To add my 2 cents…
I was terribly addicted to weed in my early to mid-twenties, to the point that I no longer even enjoyed it - yet STILL smoked while experiencing terribly painful heart palpitations with each session.
If that’s not addiction - what is?
If that’s not a loser - what is?
10 years later and I would never touch that garbage again.
So boys…listen to Uncle Vic and flush that green shit down the toilet now.
Being a fool doesn’t make you cool.
Listen here boys because this is the truth: “Being a fool doesn’t make you cool.”
Weed is absolutely a drug and it sucks. It sucks the life out of you. Great post Vic. And funny too :)
Victor you’re damm’ right!
Weed is for suckers and people who have given up on life.
Weed turns one into a fucking loser bum with no ambition and self-respect. It rots your brain and destroys your masculinity. I’ve experienced it myself.
I’ve seen nearly all my high school friends go down the drain because of weed. Except for me and my best two friends. (I’ve given them both a copy of B&D’s volume 1.)
I am from the Netherlands (close to Amsterdam). The amount of suckers and losers that have accumulated there for marijuana is amazing.
I god damm’ love you man. You always hit the nail where it hurts and where it should hurt.
In Holland we have a saying: Soft healers make stinking Wounds… and hurting healers do the job right.
If I will ever meet you I’ll bring you a nice big cigar and you can be sure it’s a nice one.
For all you suckers who are still infatuated with marijuana I’ve got one thing to say:
“Listen to Victor’ and start being a man. Like you’re supposed to.
Thanks for writing the best blog on Earth brother.
‘Ooooooooooooooooooooowl!’
My entire life I hated being around any sort of drugs, even aspirin, coffee etc..
I was mentally healthy, sharp in conversation, very driven, and could work tirelessly. I was good at martial arts. I always had money in my pocket.
Around the age of 28 I fell in with a terrible girl who got me drinking and smoking. I smoked, drank and partied regularly for the next year and a half.
I got depression and my brain stopped working properly(fuzzy, brain fog). Gave up on martial arts, and watched a ton of YouTube(while high as a kite of course), and for some reason I could just never seem to save money any more.
I got my life together with diet, exercise, sleep etc.. I am now 37 and my health and mental state never quite recovered to what it once was.
If only I had found Vic’s blog instead of meeting that girl(I don’t think it existed at that time though).
Thanks for the kick in the ass Vic, I am living proof that what you say is correct. I have being smoking weed for many years and it has got me nowhere. I live in a small room on my parents property, I have a 9-5, actually 6-6 job I hate. When I get home I would not drown my sorrows with booze but rather have that fake happy feeling for a moment, just to feel happy, leaving me feel even worse when it’s gone. I am addicted and have tried to stop many times but just end up back. Weed does get it’s hold on you, and it is hard to break free. Maybe I am weak and have no will power but after all the shit I have being thought it seems like my escape. I long to be successful and have a better life for myself, I’m not stupid but I know this weed it dragging me down. And for what? A quick high? Fck I really need to kick myself in the ass and stop this. It has destroyed everything good that’s ever come into my life. I have lost people because of my habit. It does suck the motivation from you and it does make you feel paranoid and worth-less yet we also quick to hit that toke. I am the lowest part of my life right now and I blame the weed but myself too for not being stronger to over come this addiction. It’s hard when you all alone. Just my little story. Thanks again Vic for the ass kicking, I hope I pull myself from this hell I’ve smoked up.
“Thanks again Vic for the ass kicking, I hope I pull myself from this hell I’ve smoked up.”
You will. You already know the secret, it does nothing for you and takes everything from you.
“It is because marijuana is a drug that makes you do things you would not normally do.”
Bingo. One of the biggest problems with smoking weed is that it weakens your will to refrain from bad behaviors you otherwise would not have induldged in. Jacking off, binge eating junk foods, playing video games for hours at a time, etc.
A lot of religious people believe it opens you up to demon possession.
“A lot of religious people believe it opens you up to demon possession.”
Alcohol too. Ever wonder why alcohol is called spirits?
Thank you Vic for you clear and elaborate statement.
I 100 per Cent agree with you from personal experience.
Martin
Rare to hear this point of view nowadays with everyone talking about how weed is a miracle drug for all kinds of ailments. Anytime someone says something heals everything, you know it’s BS. It probably actually heals nothing.
I think very occasional toking, just like occasional tripping on shrooms/LSD, is a good thing spiritually. A few times a year maybe. It gives you an outside perspective on yourself, your life, your goals, that you couldn’t otherwise achieve. It makes you a nicer person. HOWEVER, people who use it regularly are doing serious damage to themselves and their lives. I know from experience when I was a daily smoker back in high school and college. I’d leave my house, go back inside because I forgot something, then I’d forget what I forgot. Pot does serious damage to your short-term memory, and daily use makes you an absolute lazy piece of garbage. I am by nature a lazy person, constantly fighting against that nature, but when I was a pothead, that was the laziest I ever was in my life.
The conspiracy theory side of me believes that the globalists are pushing pot legalization to help dumb down the population and make it easier to control. Although people say the gov’t is anti-pot because it’ll dip into the profits of the pharma industry, that’s not true because the gov’t knows pot will not heal anything and will only serve to make people dumber and more manipulable, while their pharmaceuticals continue to fly off the shelves.
Boom. Excellent comment Chaki.
I smoked weed when I was young for years and while it was fun in the beginning it became addicting and the fun wore off and I was left with an addiction problem. Life felt boring without getting high. I’ve been clean for years now though and feel good these days clean. In my experience it’s best to be yourself and not mess with your brain chemistry. Unnaturally increasing your brains dopamine with drugs is very unhealthy and leads to depression and anxiety disorders. Like Vic said the drugs often put in place the very conditions you claim to use them to treat.
All is as you said it would be.
My pot smoking in-law:

Hot shit Vic, every guy needs to read this post.
I smoked weed once 5 years ago when a pothead friend and his gf decided to get me high. I hated it while both of them got high quick and started mumbling gibberish.
Fast forward to today, I’m kicking ass with my business and my pothead “friend” is still a pothead.
Cheers man!
Hey victor, have you ever experienced depersonalisation/derealization? I got it since smoking weed a couple years ago, only did it a couple times and realised it was a drug for losers
“Hey victor, have you ever experienced depersonalisation/derealization?”
I don’t really know what that means. Can you elaborate?
Dissociation, which is the word you want to use, is just one symptom of anxiety disorders, which is the feeling of detachment from your surroundings
“Dissociation, which is the word you want to use, is just one symptom of anxiety disorders, which is the feeling of detachment from your surroundings”
“Hey victor, have you ever experienced depersonalisation/derealization?”
On a semi-related note, I believe this is the experience that those addicted to conspiracy theories feel. This is a large reason why the people who watch conspiracy theories are so rarely successful - they feel everything is fake. If everything is fake then nothing is worth your time. “Why make money if it’s all a scam, man?”
I used to have anxiety and the weed triggered it man. Never been interested in Conspiracies. Just a perception thing. You mentioned it in the article saying weed can cause ‘depersonalisation’. It’s just feeling outside of yourself and disconnected from surroundings. I personally graft all day everyday building my body and business, even in the face of this stuff. I only asked since i believe you mentioned before about Brain fog (which is similar) and the fact that in your podcast you said when you first moved to China and you were physically there but not mentally.
For all concerned, this is the definition of depersonalization: a state in which one’s thoughts and feelings seem unreal or not to belong to oneself, or in which one loses all sense of identity. It can consist of a detachment within the self regarding one’s mind or body, or being a detached observer of oneself. Subjects feel they have changed and that the world has become vague, dreamlike, less real, or lacking in significance.
Hey Victor,
You are right on with this.
I come from Humboldt County, CA. The heart of the “Emerald Triangle”. Believe me, I have seen the long term affects of habitual weed use. I have a cousin who has to write down any number that contains three digits or more because his short term memory dumps it if he loses focus. He went from the back of the store he worked at to the front register and forgot the passcode to one of the systems. The code was the 4 digit street address.
Weed kills your soul and drive. Yeah, you can get by in your teens through late 20’s or early 30’s, and most people wont assume too much. But after that the damage is obvious.
Stoner’s personal development are so bad, they are almost functionally retarded. No drive, no hunger (munchies don’t count), no growth (except waistband). Just an over-inflated sense of superiority because they feel enlightened while high.
Many are content living in filth and shit with Buddha bobbles strewn about their house and Himalayan prayer flags festooning their porches as they lurch towards subsistence on the government dole. Others, seeking a way out, or at least something that feels less numb, will end up turning to crime or hard drugs. The homeless are everywhere here. Chasing bud till they are living in bushes on the side of the highway.
I have a hard time seeing stoners a human a lot of times. In a certain sense, they no longer are, and short of things like what’s going on in Syria and North Korea and the like, it is one of the saddest things I could imagine.
Most drugs are “the quick and the dead” type. You have to get off them quick or they will take care of the end user themselves. Weed is a slow poison that hits your soul. Then fries your brain.
Listen to Victor, boys.
Wow. Phenomenal comment Thomas.
Many people who live the way you describe do so because they truly believe, whether erroneously or not, that they are better people when they are on drugs, or perhaps they fear the pain and misery that has overwhelmed them in the past when they are straight. Other drug users are high achievers in society who are able to keep thejr drug use hidden by their middle class privilege. While daily sobriety is definitely an ideal, it is nowhere near as simple as just saying no. Society needs to be extremely creative and compassionate if we truly wish to minimise the harm that drugs cause our society, as it stands now, a monster has been created by the legalities surrounding this issue that can only begin to be tackled when the powerful black market incentives are removed from the equation.
Serious question: Although I’m not a fan of either of them, I can’t help but notice that Snoop Dogg and Wiz got rich even if they smoke weed every day! Even the Diaz Brothers manage to kick ass even when stoned…is there a particular secret to their success?
They sell the dream to stoners.
This article hits home with me in a vary big way because I am a long time pot user. My first time was probably around 15 or 16, then I joined the Marines at 19 and completely avoided pot for my entire 4 years in the military (obviously, military has a no tolerance policy and I didn’t want to get kicked out). Shortly after getting out of the Marine Corps, I moved with my best friend to The SF Bay Area, one of the world capitals for stoners, and then went right back to smoking again.
Weed is harmful guys. Its true. Literally everything Nick wrote in this article is true which really kind of blows me away because he’s never even smoked the shit but he can simply observe the damage that it causes from the outside. He is correct, 100% correct guys. Take it from me, a life long marijuana addict.
Here’s an embarrassing story from my own journey with weed: For years after getting out of the Marine Corps I would take multiple smoke breaks everyday and I would basically stay red-eyed and high af, just floating through life, never having the drive or ambition to build something or even to go out and get laid. It was sad but me being a lover of pot, I surrounded myself with people of the same mindset who never actually did anything with their life. On one episode of the famous show South Park I heard a character make the statement that pot is harmful because it “makes you ok with being bored” and I have to say that’s true! When you are high, you can literally just sit in your room and stare at the fucking wall for hours like a damn zombie and not even care! Think about that guys.
At the risk of further embarrassing myself, I’ll also tell you guys that at some point when I got closer to age 30, like maybe around 26-28, two big things happened: I found Bold & Determined and met the greatest girl I ever knew and fell in love with her. Coincidentally, I started to have major anxiety and panic attack issues. Some of my family always thought that it was PTSD from fighting in Iraq, because I did see and do some pretty awful things out there, many of my friends got blown to pieces and died and so on but I firmly believe that my anxiety came from a subconscious voice inside me telling me this: “STOP SMOKING POT YOU FUCKING IDIOT! YOU HAVE A SUPER HOT GIRLFRIEND AND YOU NEED TO BUILD SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE OBSESSED WITH INSTEAD OF STAYING HIGH ALL THE TIME!” I ignored that inner voice and you can probably guess the rest. Anxiety got much much worse, my girl eventually took off and I can’t really blame her. She politely asked me to quit many times but I was like “Calm down babe, its harmless.” Eventually it truly got to the point where every single time that I got high I would have an anxiety attack brought on by the weed. My heart rate would speed up and my fight or flight emergency system would kick in and I would feel like my heart might stop at any moment. Looking back all I can think is Dumbass, Dumbass, Dumbass!
This article is real, true and correct. Great Advice Nick. Thank you for posting.
This is a great story Cody. Thank you for sharing it.
It’s not that simple.
Think about it this way. To succeed, you have to not only perform at a high level, but you have to do it consistently. Day after day after day, basically for the rest of your life, you have to be able to get up and crank. That’s how it works.
Which means that because you are not a machine — and you’re not — you need downtime. You cannot take more out of any system than you put in for any length of time. Read “The Power of Full Engagement” — has a lot of information about this. This is true physically, mentally and spiritually. If you keep withdrawing energy without replenishing it, you’re eventually going to crash.
Obviously, if you wake up every day and do six bong rips, you’ve got a problem. But, I (and a lot of other people) have built cannabis into our routines in a balanced way that supports what we’re trying to accomplish rather than detracts from it. Here are two examples in my case:
First, my normal schedule is something like this. Up at six, in the gym from seven until 9, then work, with pauses for meals, meetings and so on, until 10 or 11 at night. Before going to sleep, the last hour often (although not always) includes one big hit of high-quality weed. Just one. There are all kinds of strains, with all kinds of different effects — Blue Dream is a current favorite.
I spend the last waking hour of the day making my to-do list for the next day, brainstorming, listening to music and basically disconnecting from my day. The high is a major part of that. Otherwise, I have a real tendency towards insomnia, and nothing destroys the next day more than only getting 2 hours of sleep. Weed assists in the transition from “on” to “off”, and makes it much more likely that I’ll sleep soundly, and wake up ready to go, which is the whole idea.
There are definitely downsides. It can take the edge off my memory, mostly, and it sometimes makes thinking through hard or complex stuff a little more difficult. But — and this is the whole point, and the “balance” part — it also means a good night’s sleep, and the rest I really, really need — so it’s worth it. It’s totally worth it.
It can also help with working out. I would never lift while high. I work with a trainer, and this would mean wasting his time, for starters, and it’s also not safe. However, if it’s a cardio or a conditioning day, and I’m hurting a little bit — sore from the previous day’s lifting, or have some kind of nagging injury — a VERY measured amount of cannabis takes the edge off, and enables me to do what I need to when otherwise it would be much harder or impossible. Edibles are perfect for this.
Nobody who isn’t a robot can have a “calm, clear mind” all the time. Humans are humans, and have ups and downs, good things happen and bad things happen. People get tired. They get sick. They get their hearts broken. And so on. The goal isn’t to overpower those things through sheer will — that simply isn’t how life works, especially if you’re striving for something. The goal is to manage the ups and downs in a way that minimizes their severity, allows you to leverage the ups and manage the downs to maintain your overall momentum.
Leo, I’d really be interested in your opinion concerning the strength of weed today.
I’ve commonly heard the argument from other users(older in age) that pot in the 60’s and 70’s was a different animal. They speak about how the weed you puffed in the summer of love was far more natural, organic, and also much less genetically modified to be super strong and also more addictive. People say its a plant put on Earth by God but today’s plant is much more potent and, it seems to me, debilitating.
I absolutely agree with your article. I used to smoke weed in my college days. It did nothing for me except ruin my life completely. I almost ended up on the street not paying my rent because, “I didn’t feel like going to work anymore.” Luckily, I decided to not be a pussy and quit before my ultimate demise. If any of you out there still think marijuana, “Helps you relax” or any of that bullshit… no, it makes you a loser. Stop lying to yourself and quit while you still are on top of things. Don’t make my mistake. Listen to the article.
I wish I could agree Vic, but sadly I see the exact opposite. I have business partners that get high every day. Believe me they are the MOST MOTIVATED men I have ever met and beyond driven. Their work ethic is remarkable. They often smoke weed and have conversations w/ me about business issues and I’ll be damned they solve them. The creative shit that comes out of their mouths helps them problem solve and see the issue in a complete different manner. I cannot argue with this.
The BENEFITS come from cannabis oil etc. smoking it is not where the medicinal properties come from. Vic is right guys.
There are exceptions of course (Joe Rogan, Eddie Bravo etc) but vast majority of pot heads don’t accomplish shit!
And not a single fact was produced. Anecdotal evidence is not evidence. I would wager most highly successful people have some form of drug habit. Being straightedge is just a formula for a boring, moderately successful life.
Read the article when you’re sober, many facts produced.
This article is about marijuana. Try your best to remember.
I just smoke weed for better sex. It’s been 3 weeks since I last did and have no addiction tendencies. Not going to say marijuana is healthy as it’s not but you zealots don’t know anything either. Of course, that facet is made obvious by you posting an image of steroid-induced vein popping.
Regardless, mind-blowing sex is healthy, and that’s what I use pot for. And you say successful men don’t do drugs but success is a product of highs and lows. Most successful men have their vices and drink alcohol. Just like the rich CEOs are snorting crack.
f u, i smoke pot everyday after i get off of work, at the company I own. everything you said was BS. pot is 1000% safer than alcohol u know nothing.
You’re only half right this time Vic. I fully agree that the pothead lifestyle is for losers and screws with your dopaminergic system, leading to lower quality of life.
I also think there is waaaayyy too much high octane marijuana being smoked on the regular these days by the young- millenials and gen z. And this whole pothead lifestyle and culture and marijuana obsession has gotten too much of a foothold in our degeneratw culture.
All that said, marijuana is not inherently bad. It can be used positively and negatively. Positively though is not habitually, and in smaller amounts. I’ve had excellent workouts after a small toke. I’ve had helpful insights on how to improve my life while high (which I was able to put into practice).
I’ve also had negative and paranoid highs. For me weed has never been a common thing. A small amount once a month or so. There are plenty of very successful people who use it similarly. It’s not objectively accurate to demonized it. That said, I do see way too many idiot youth smoking extreme amounts of THC.
I know successful people who snort cocaine. I am sure they would justify their addiction the way you justify your addiction Roberto. Just because some of you can succeed despite handicapping yourselves with your addiction does not mean your drug is not harmful.
Since when is taking drugs a good thing?
I can’t understand people who says weed is good.
I get high from working out, taking my cold shower and occasionnally (I’ll admit it) eating a big ice cream.
I truly think you should go all over the country, visiting schools to save the next generation.
You reach more people online than you would ever reach visiting schools. It’s not even close.
No one ever needs “saving,” much less Generation Z who guys like Vic isn’t collectivist enough to reach anyways.
Swinging the hammer of truth once again Victor. Weed is shit, met guys from school that are still smoking it and guess what? Still broke losers attempting to get through college (which is bullshit too) their whole life is fucked and weed won’t make it any better.
Marijuana users are notorious liars. See above.
Humans are notorious liars, as well as being prone to exaggeration and generalisations. Sometimes we are known for using our intelligence to rise above these foibles to get to the truths underlying our preconceptions and predjudices. Onwards and upwards, only together will we thrive!
Weed also turns people into A holes. The most hateful ignorant meanest people in the world are pot smokers. I believe pot does something to the brain that makes them angry and hateful. Online chat rooms the non weed smokers are usually the nicest friendliest people where as the pot smoker rooms are full of A holes ready to attack anyone just for the hell of it. I live in Canada where our government made this crap legal when in fact it should be illegal. Why should we have to suffer from these hateful bitter pot smokers.
“There are no benefits of marijuana”.
Vic, I get that you think you know everything but this claim holds NO scientific truth.
In fact, there are COUNTLESS studies verified by numerous third parties showing that weed has a number of benefits for PTSD, depression, chronic pain (my girlfriend shattered three vertebrae, and became addicted to pain pills because of the doctor’s fucktardery and weed has been the only way she is able to cope with the chronic pain), and let’s not forget that there is a mountain of evidence showing that weed has less of a negative effect on your brain than sugar.
I am NOT defending getting stoned all of the time…
But if you are going to post something like this, you can’t demonize something you’ve never used, and make claims that are BLATANTLY and scientifically false, that’s how you lose credibility and look like an ass.
Now…
All of the benefits that one can get from weed can also be derived from CBD without any of the psychoactive effects or perceived laziness.
However, claiming that it has no benefits and isn’t useful at all is ignorant and scientifically proven to be false.
Sure it has its downsides but considering that my grandad who fought in Vietnam and has severe PTSD is only able to sleep through the night without suffering from terrors or violently beating my grandmother in his sleep… Well, I think you need to reconsider your stance on their being “No benefits”.
I won’t disagree about the negatives but this article comes across as foolish and arrogant especially when you look at the mountain of evidence contradicting what you are saying.
I personally don’t smoke weed on a regular basis but I have been following you for nearly 3 years and can’t sit here and listen to you blatantly lie about something that has literally changed the lives of some of the people closest to me.
Love your stuff man but don’t post shit that isn’t based on evidence and that skews the reality to fit your world view.
Bottom line…
90% of you shouldn’t smoke weed.
But the 10% who have clinical depression, PTSD, chronic pain… Go blaze up at night and ignore the b.s. about how there are “no benefits”
“But the 10% who have clinical depression, PTSD, chronic pain… Go blaze up at night and ignore the b.s. about how there are “no benefits”
Kiddo you are lying to yourself and you are lying to everyone in this comment thread.
Won’t argue that there are negative effects and most people have no business messing with it.
But people who are way smarter than any of us here (and far more successful) and who have actually done the research beg to differ on there being positive effects.
It’s amazing to me that you would hold your own opinion in such high regard that you would ignore the data and the opinions of people who have achieved far more. Saying that medical marijuana proponents are “Lying to themselves” doesn’t change the evidence.
As Neil DeGrasse Tyson said “That’s the great thing about science. It’s true whether you believe it or not”
Love you stuff Vic, but I’d like to see you hang up your opinion (which also isn’t based on personal experience) and actually look at the data.
You are being cucked by lies and deception. All you clowns are the same, you are highly subjective, one-sided, narrow thinking and when truth is presented to you, lying to yourself and becoming self delusional is your way to cope with things. The MRI scans have been done and the link between heavy marijuana use and brain damage does exist. Look, you will just have to put your emotionally attached thoughts to your “drug” aside, and be objective enough to do the research. And the right research because Big pharma pumps out lies quite often and these “studied” that are pure sewage. My dad was in the medical field for 16 years and worked with one of the richest companies in the world. He worked on Roches multi-million dollar labratory system across the U.S. and was the best one in the south eastern and western United States.
I can’t imagine where I’d be if I hadn’t touched pot in highschool or college. Most people are in denial about what was taken from them by pot… just like being circumcised at birth.
That being said. I believe certain substances or “drugs” can have medicinal/therapeutic or performance enhancing effects in the right setting. For example pharmaceutical MDMA for veterans with PTSD, or microdosing LSD for problem solving which is the latest trend for silicon valley CEOS.
Most people don’t have the will to tread with caution when it comes to drugs. Most people dont know how to cycle caffeine, they need their 3 cups a day to survive etc.
Nicotine on its own is a great nootropic, either with gum, patch, vape, or swedish snus. But it comes at a cost - it is habit forming. Same with trt. If you go back to baseline /straightedge you’ll never feel satisfied or like you’re reaching your potential once you’ve stepped over to the dark side.
The point is to recognize the substances that are actually performance enhancing. BUT if you were just talked to be straight edge from the get go you’d never feel like you are missing out.
Marijuana sucks, and the way most people consume it sucks. However CBD extract from the cannabis plat is performance enhancing in my book, it doesn’t get you stoned at all (no thc) but is much like phenibut when it comes to helping with social anxiety. It is a great adaptogen which is helpful in the modern environment of stress. Research CBD, i think it is the MAIN reason why government doesnt want to legalize cannabis because it will replace people’s SSRI’s and cannot be patented.
“For example pharmaceutical MDMA for veterans with PTSD”
Funny how soldiers actually in war never seem to have PTSD, they only seem to have it when they sit in their bedrooms all day. Veterans with “PTSD” is absolute nonsense. They don’t have “PTSD”, they have old fashioned BOREDOM. They have too much time on their hands and they overthink. Drugs like MDMA do not heal that, activity heals it. All these drugs like weed, MDMA and magic mushrooms pretend to be a cure for everything when the real cure is starting at your face… ACTIVITY IS THE REAL CURE FOR EVERY AILMENT.
I definitely agree, talk to any vietnam vet and they’ll tell you that its complete faggotry. However most veterans lead shitty lives later on in life its seems… they don’t know how to live outside of combat. Maybe its society and not them.
Let’s be honest though some drugs are FUN. Once you’re a millionaire, if you want to trip acid in the forest once a year with people you like I think you’ve earned it.
All these clowns are complaining but here’s the deal. Pot lowers Testosterone as well as having links to Erectile Dysfunction (like cigarettes). So go smoke all the pot you want and I’ll go fuck your girl.
“All these clowns are complaining but here’s the deal. Pot lowers Testosterone as well as having links to Erectile Dysfunction (like cigarettes).”
One of the potheads even went to far as to say “I don’t WANT high testosterone!” Ok friend, no worries. You won’t get it.
Great article Vic!
I have never smoked weed in my life but probably all the people I know have.
My observations are similar to yours. Most of these people are losers who don’t get anywhere and most people who smoke weed only do so because all the others are doing it and they want to fit in.
I also see it that people use it as some sort of escaping from reality because it is easier to just get high when you are a boring loser without a life than to take action.
Now, as I personally haven’t smoked weed before, I can’t say if there are any benefits to it or not. I have read a lot of stuff on this topic and if there are benefits like enhanced creativity, for example, I would personally only use it after the age of 25 (to avoid any potential brain damage when young) and only very, very sparely, like once every couple of months and only as a TOOL.
Who knows if it actually can work as a tool with benefits. I know for a fact that you don’t need it to get more creative, beat depression etc.
Your reasoning that weed actually leads to these problems in the first place sounds very plausible, too.
Thanks for the food for thought Victor. I will just stay on my path of no-weed for now.
“I will just stay on my path of no-weed for now.”
Here’s what I read: “I will not be a loser… For now.”
Lol Vic touché and thanks for the kick in the ass.
I guess I will rewrite that:
“I have never smoked weed in my life and I will stay on my path of no-weed … Forever”
Thank you for this. I’ve been in denial for a few years now. After serving my country I decided to “medicate” my pain away from post-traumatic stress but quickly felt the negative effects of anxiety attacks, depression and lowered self esteem, as well as a vastly diminished motivational drive. I blamed everything and everyone including myself not realizing it’s been the “medicine” all along.
I’m done!
My man.
Weed is like porn, the people who use it claim, “there’s nothing wrong, in fact, what I’m doing is quite healthy.” A cursory glance at a heavy user of porn or weed will tell you the exact opposite. Both will say it’s natural or has this or that benefit. All lies. Lies upon lies.
All these idiots, “yea just smoke this weed and it will cure cancer.” Yea right. Give me a break. They give you their phonebook-long list of conspiracy theories and other non-sense on why it is illegal and why it should be legal. While never addressing the true issue, weed is BAD for you. Pure and simple. Keep ’em coming Vic.
All this controversy over a topic that is so obvious means you’re onto something with it. I love these articles, attack them at their core, their precious addiction.
All these excuses:
“You can’t get addicted to weed” they will say. Wrong, people who smoke weed do it regularly (at least weekly).
“It’s less addictive than alcohol” (a common deflection). Yea so? They’re both bad for you.
“You’re so tense, just chill out and smoke this joint.” No thank you, I must be going.
“My personal anecdote of someone curing their medical problem.” Time also heals several wounds thanklessly and effortlessly.
Boom. Great comment.
Let’s be real, Vic could have EASILY swapped out Marijuana for anything else and I mean ANYTHING.
Anything and everything is addictive and if you do not have emotional control you will become a degenerate no matter the vice. If it isn’t a productive, its a degenerate act, end of.
This is why I laugh at the sXe crew. They have swapped out drugs for another destructive habit: Talking trash at those who aren’t sXe and making some silly degenerate “movement” out of it. So now collectivism is their drug. *golf clap* way to go.
If you absolutely have to smoke a joint, do it to relax when you have nothing better to do. But if you are anything like Vic, you’ll ALWAYS have something to do so you won’t need to smoke a joint.
This is why Vic is the man. Keeping it real and spreading truth. Theres so many areas where you hit home, too many for me to reiterate. I will attest to when I used in highschool because of my brother, most of the time after about the first 10-15 times smoking, it did nothing but:
-increase my heartrate
-give me anxiety
-give me pranoi
-irrational fear
-lack of confidence
-loss of motivation/desire
-and most of all, the fear and anxiety really expand as it your constantlu worrying if other people can “tell” your high and it makes you socially AWKWARD to the point of becoming reclusive. The mind is highly intoxicated under the influence of marijuana and you CANNOT function normally socially with people as your brain is in an entire different fucked dimension.
They have already done the MRI scans on marijuana addicts, and they have done the studies and vast research… Their is a common denominator with these heavy addicts and brain damage. Id say this is the one (and probably biggest) demonic lie the media and the devil medical and pharmaceutical cult keep hidden and swept under the rug
That’s because marijuana is spiritual substance .. not meant to be smoked daily or even once a few weeks.. it should be used rarely (once or twice a year max) for spiritual experiences and insights that too alone at some peaceful place.
Hey man, your site is great!
I have a question: what’s your opinion on guys who use chaturbate and other camming sites to make money?
Couldn’t disagree more. Smoked weed on and off for 20 years (although normally bake with it to avoid the smoking part). I have a well paying job plus a part time business and am more ambitious than ever. I have a family and exercise daily. Weed does not make you a loser, nor does it rob you of ambition.
I also do not feel like a loser nor an idiot when I’ve “had a smoke”. If anything I seem to have better ideas and can solve things faster when ‘high’.
In the last 20 years (while using pot a lot) I have:
- ravelled the world as well as spent months at a time in other countries
- Taught myself Spanish, Portuguese and German
- Taught myself programming, published 3 apps and got paid to make countless websites
- Have a part time web dev business
- Gained over 30lbs of muscle
- Taught myself Piano and keyboard
- Become a fully qualified rescue diver
- Taught myself to surf
- Plus many other ‘achievements’.
Just sayin’
I see weed as spiritual gift. I smoke just once in a year alone in dark room for introspection, insights and new perceptions.
HAHAHAHAHAH
THIS POST IS GOLD
Victor you are the MAN
Many times now I have received comments praising the effects of marijuana. They say:
“Victor, the weed is so great. You should get stoned and drop out, man.”
I say: Wow, the weed is so great huh? Listen here Wiz Khalifa, get a big dimebag of it, make sure it’s primo stuff, get your bongs and your pipes, get your lighters and incense, get your Willie Nelson records, and then shove it all up your ass.
Hahahaha
Shit made me roll out fucking laughing hahahah
“Shove it all up your ass” hahha classic
Check out my new book out now on amazon guys
Alpha Male: The Code of the Alpha Attract Women, Make More Money: Live on Your Own Terms, Become King of the Jungle
Sound off
This coming from a man who’s used/pushed products like Kratom, Modafinil, Red Monkey……..what were those things vitamins or were you lying to your readers back in those days about all of the benefits you/they’d receive using those products. Hypocrite much?
Those things all equal marijuana now do they? Put down the pipe and get a grip on reality.
Ok as a former pothead let me speak from experience.
If you use thc after a certain age, I think it was 23 them it is safer as it does not affect your brain development so much. (google it)
Potheads can be successful as long as they do not use weed as a crutch, e.g Escapism.
THC can reduce ambition and drive but at the same time increase creativity and allow for subconscious thoughts to enter your conscious mind.
If used in moderation for a specific purpose thc might be ok, e.g Narcoleptic with Excessive REM sleep, certain weed strains might increase Non-REM deep sleep.
CBD Oil that is NON-Psychoactive on the other hand, can truly be called a medicine, although for some people with serious and terminal illness’s and disorders they could or do benefit from THC & CBD.
As the most intelligent and talented rapper alive today sang:
“We’re all smart, and we know what’s bad and good for us
But yet, when you got offered some marijuana you took a puff
Your brain’s a fuckin’ powerhouse
But what, that wasn’t good enough?
It’s people like you who talk that “shoulda, coulda, woulda” stuff
You probably threw your life away
‘Cause you would rather get high
With no license or car, so you bum rides to get by
Sayin’: “I should’ve did this” or “I shouldn’t have hung with this guy”
“I’m broke as fuck, my rent’s high. Ah, I should’ve realized.”

“Nocturnal Rainbows”
great article uncle Vic! Im just curious though!
What are you thoughts on Joe rogan then? he commentates UFC and has a amazing podcast and him and Alex jones even smoked a session lol
- Also I can tell you watched the Joe rogan vs Crowder on marijuana debate!
and does this also apply the cuban cigars you were smoking couple weeks ago?
- And kratom is ok to use correct?
Hey Brother Vic,
What is your opinion of Dorian yates and Joe Rogan; They both espouse the greatness of smoking pot. What is your opinion? Also, I totally agree with you on this article 100%.
Dorian already accomplished his great work, he has finished his work so it doesn’t matter. Joe Rogan is great until he gets high, then he turns dumb.
Yes very true Vic. All good points.
Hi Victor
You really got me thinking with this one. You are correct, marijuana destroys ambition. While there have been a few great artists whose creativity has been enhanced by drugs, that has usually been at the cost of highly disrupted and difficult personal lives.
It is very clear that a more ambitious society is a better society. But our world looks for the quick fix, valuing immediate pleasure over building long term results. Challenging that bad hedonistic mentality is itself reason to discourage if not prohibit dangerous mind-altering drugs.
The dilemma on prohibition is that we allow the popular vices of drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. It is not clear either that the illegal drugs are worse than them, or that banning drugs is the best way to curtail their use. Maybe let the losers make their own bad decisions, as long as most people have access to good information about the dangers, as you present here.
The best way to curtail drug use is to have public discussion of the problems you raise here, with clear simple advice from respected role models like you. Unfortunately, that discussion is often mocked by the political and cultural left morons, and sensible clean living has the image of being mainly restricted to isolated conservative pockets, and does not get much coverage in the media. The important life-changing advice you convey here is even portrayed as the views of an isolated puritan. People speaking out against drugs get treated like killjoys, severe destroyers of simple pleasures.
The truth is that living clean produces far more pleasure and benefit over the long term than drug use. It is partly the ability to achieve to your potential, creating a life of stability and wealth and productivity. There is a moral question here, about the value we place on discipline, and how heavily we discount future success compared to current pleasure. Your Thirty Days of Discipline is a great shock therapy for anyone who is turning into a lazy slob. Not using drugs just to get high is part of the same disciplined mentality, looking to long term results.
Bodybuilders know that ‘no pain no gain’ is a simple fact. The discipline of focussed physical and mental suffering through pain is the only way to cross a higher threshold of achievement. Endurance builds character and determination. Ingesting marijuana in any form will only harm your discipline and focus, and turn you into a weakling with no will power.
Spot on, Victor,
You explained it similarly how I always tell it to potheads.
I used to smoke weed in high school. A lot. I could tell what kind of weed I was getting just by smelling it.
You know, weed makes you feel really good (most of the time). There was nothing better than going back to the dorms after school and roll one. God, I hated my life so much.
My only problem with weed was that it made me lazy. So, after a while, I realised if I only put a very small amount of it in a cigarette, I could still get high and something amazing happened. It made me motivated. Weed in small quantity makes one motivated even for very monotonous jobs.
Then something horrible happened. When I was high only a bit, I felt motivated, but being deprived of it I felt depressed and would lie in bed all day. It became obvious weed only temporarily solved my problems and I could instantly quit. That’s why most people come with the usual explanations, that it cures depression and all that shit, they think only in the short term. They care only about a solution to their problems, not the cause of them.
The only thing I use it for nowadays is when I’m fucking a girl for the first time, I like to get high with her. First times can be awkward, especially if the girl is inexperienced, and having an orgasm while high is amazing, so after a session while being high, usually the girl wants more. Although, I heard of cases where potheads experience erectile dysfunction when they are high, so I use this “technique” only in very rare situations.
All in all, I don’t really care if someone smokes, but leave me out of it.
Thank you for explaining this in detail for the masses.
Victor this is my issue.the creative s and artists believe they most smoke weed for inspiration.how about this.
How about nothing. Weed is like any drug, it makes you less inhibited, not “more creative”.
Hear! Hear! Like Anton LaVey defined drug use, “Drugs are a polite form of suicide. One day we’ll make suicide painless and appealing enough, and the drug problem will be solved.” Let’s let the idiot potheads take themselves off and leave more room for the rest of us.
And smart guys (and gals), take note, and do not use drugs.
I’ve never commented on your articles before and I’ve been a reader for years but I just had to comment on this one.
I am sick and tired of people shoving down stuff like weed down people’s throats like it’s a magic potion.
I’m in the Netherlands where this shit is being smoked like crazy by A LOT of people. Along with other party drugs and LSD.
I definitely missed out a lot on social events (especially because I’m in my mid twenties) but I have zero regrets.
All mind altering drugs are BULLSHIT and the people who use them have a bank account containing no more than 3 digits.
Free advice here coming from a MAJOR former pothead - don’t waste a second smoking pot.
I used to consume pot like a smoker goes through a pack-a-day, seriously, fellas. I’d smoke it before work and school, immediately before bed and typically leaving my bong on my night stand.. I think you guys get the picture.
Pot was the number 1 reason my 20s were flushed down the toilet. It made me LAZY and worse then that, never give me the right of mind to set a clear goal. Instead, I floated around in community college for 5 years. I’m not joking, you’ll never meet somebody with more credits at a CC.
I sat in my apartment, smoked pot, played Xbox and watched porn. And pot is very addictive and a pain in the ass to quit.
This is long winded, so I’m going to end it by saying I quit and got my life together. Between school, building my credit score, buying a house, graduating from college and finding the right job, it took my 4.5 years after quitting. I now HATE pot, it will destroy your life potential.
Seriously, don’t fucking smoke pot.
thank you for this im in my very early 20s and I appreciate people like you giving your stories of what not to do with reason/explaining ! i really appreciate it alot thanks!
I was a marijuana addict until I found Uncle Vic’s “Steak and Eggs” article.
I’ve been winning and grinning since then boys !
Thank you Vic for changing me into a better man !
Best,
Marko
False. I suffer from PTSD and weed has had a tremendously positive impact on my life. I am self employed, I go to school part time (STEM Student) I train 4- 5 days a week, and take belly dance lessons as well. I smoke every day and I have never been happier.
I LOVE it when other people around me, particularly other men my age, smoke weed.
It means I have less competition around me and I encourage it.
“Oh hey bros! Going to smoke some weed? No, no thank you I’m good, but y’all go ahead.”
Then I head off to the gym, work on some personal projects, head out and meet some girls.
Wait, where were those guys earlier I don’t see them competing with me to make money on their own projects, or dating any of these girls? Oh well… guess I’ll just take more of the shares for myself.
Uncle Vic i love this post i bought your new book Vol1 and its amazing, red monkey is amazing to for business and social situations!
My only question is that you deleted your kratom tea/kratom posts, are you against kratom or do you believe kratom like red monkey/caffeine is ok for productive tasks? thanks
Hey Vic its Sambo again you haven’t heard from me for a long time. Want to know why? I wasted about 3 years smoking that goddamn bullshit. I could have already created an online business kicking ass, bullying the weaklings at the gym and throwing hippies in wood chippers but instead I just turned 24 and I find myself being satisfied with fuck all. Since we last spoke I have been homeless twice and I did a jail bid which meant I missed my sister’s wedding which is the biggest regret of my life at this point. I have been cleaned up for about almost a year but I was in the 9th circle of hell for too long I had to find my balls but it only took one day. I am back on the trail once again thankfully I wasn’t locked up for felonies so I can still find something to do until I can get back to real work.
Until then I remain,
IMPATIENT
Sam P
Welcome back. Stay here this time.
Delete this comment if you want, but as usual I am going to buck conventional wisdom and stick to scientific facts. Marijuana affects the Hippocampus by increasing the electrical conductivity of the brain or G-factor, the core loop operating system of the brain, and for those with innate schizophrenia the left hemisphere to absorb new knowledge and information into what is already known, it is actually as simple as looking at the the chemical geometric structure of THC as an electrical capacitator, diagram link below
https://scontent.fbkk2-3.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/22218511_1979585548954031_8182392397243609267_o.jpg?oh=d09c32d2ad2e1f9f097aca3c4c40cbad&oe=5A716B5E
If you smoke shitty weed, buy weed, or smoke a joint you are doing it wrong, if you smoke marijuana in unhealthy fashion you will increase the mental mucus and that is bad for you. You need to suck the crystals off of the stem, consume it, as well smoke it for the fat to be absorbed in your brain tissue to actually make you smarter much like fish oil. Otherwise you will throw your brain out of balance temporarily without every growing your G-factor.
The enflaming or enlarging of the hippocampus is lined to inability to deal with stress and to lead to uncontrolled aggression in some studies, the solution to this is don’t be a little bitch and learn to deal with stress like a man. Don’t spend your whole life high, and occasionally smoke weed for the challenge and lift weights and do distance running to overcome your own mental barriers.
You should also create a whistle and/or do “Ohm” meditation to increase the hemispheric synchronization of electromagnetic effects so your brain doesn’t get “lop sided” because THC does naturally send your brain out of synchronization.
http://www.human-resonance.org/Cannabis_Smoke.pdf
None of these links are mine or provide monetary gain for me, but I hope this finds and helps someone out there. Lots of losers smoke weed, lots of losers drink beer and coffee, the more refined and unnatural anything you consume the worse for you it is. If you like to consume poison and want to poison your liver and kidneys do it, but recognize the simple electromagnetic effects THC has for the body.
http://www.viewzone.com/weedfacts/weedfacts.html
P.S. test your own body and make sure you are of alkaline composition and not acidic as well to keep your body from prematurely aging.
“The enflaming or enlarging of the hippocampus is lined to inability to deal with stress and to lead to uncontrolled aggression in some studies, the solution to this is don’t be a little bitch and learn to deal with stress like a man.”
A simpler and smarter solution would be to just not smoke weed in the first place.
This is the most hilarious thing I read, totally agree with you man blaze weed for life!
You know why I say I agree because it doens’t matter whether you succeed or not you die in the end, better have a fun time being around and being a lozer :D.
Never heard of anyone who didnt like weed the first time but then went On to keep trying it “5-10 times” .
And yeah no succesful CEOs or athletes enjoy smoking weed right?
IT TAKES SOMEONE NOT ON THE BAND WAGON OF PROFITING OFF OTHERS MISERY TO BE COMPASSIONATE TO SPEAK ON THE TRUTH ABOUT MARIJUANA. THERE ARE THE CEO’S THAT ARE INVESTING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON TRYING TO MAKPPE THE APPEARANCE OF SOMETHING AS DANGEROUS AS MARIJUANA APPEAR HARMLESS, WHEN THE LAST 2 DECADES WE HAVE SEEN ITS EFFECTS, AND BELIEVE ME IT WAS NOT HARMLESS… CAN A LEOPARD CHANGE HIS STRIPES, NO MORE THAN SOMETHING A DEADLY AND DANGEROUS AS MARIJUANA APPEAR HARMLESS
I’ve made a lot of positive changes in the last few months. I go to the gym six days a week. I eat clean. I’m organized and on top of everything i’m doing. Have been way more confident, striking conversations with beautiful women. I feel fucking great.
Last Night I told myself I’ve been doing so good I could reward myself with a little joint. Worst Mistake. I pigged out and ate a bunch of stuff that made me feel sick. I felt like a brain dead zombie and was just mindlessly on my phone for several hours.
Weed is garbage. I just threw all my weed and smoking things in the dumpster.
Thanks Vic
Mate, please do more of those. I used to smoke and every point you said here is …. ABSOLUTELY TRUE. The only Problem with weed is that the repercussions are mostly longterm, and it is difficult to notice it over a short period of time (loss of Motivation, lower Self-Esteem, Missing opportunities, loosing contact with family and beloved ones, and most importantly loosing Self Discipline). Weed is a sneaky bitch!
There are exceptions to every rule.
Especially this rule.
I say - everything in moderation. Including moderation.
Weed is great. Makes you feel relaxed and euphoric and makes you laugh and silly and makes sex even greater and art and music more beautiful and on and on…
I know people who have smoked themselves stupid.
I know losers who have never smoked.
And I know successful people who are daily or occasional weed smokers (like myself).
I take a toot or 2 after work from my vape pen…and I’m great to have dinner with my kids and wife….
I smoke everyday….
Some people can do it.
Hey Vic,
Thanks for such straigh great points!!! Starred this article to read again in future. I am quitting weed myself. That shit sticked too long with me. Everyday toking is for losers. I might be doing fine on avarage, but to have great health and body and interesting lifestyle… Just forget about it! Weed is drug and everyday toking is addiction. Btw fuck the average! Become better and better! Thanks for the article again!
As someone that smokes I firmly believe it’s down to the person. Weed can make you a loser it can leave you forgetful depressed and not willing to come out of bed because, deep down, that’s where you’re mentally comfortable. However, to have strength of mind and think/act within the realms of normality comes from oneself. I work perform at open mics train social workers and am going to start my THIRD job soon. I feel like this article is an attack without empathy and people need to understand people are the problem as well as weed because anything can make you a loser if you indulge in it too much it’s about knowing how it affects you and if that messes with your dreams. (I have slowed down my rate of smoking immensely and do see a positive change however battle my insomnia is why I sleep(sativa and indica hav diffrent bodily and mental effects)
Wow, that was funny.
Weed brings you the Depression.
Listen, i had depression and i had thoughts about suicide.
I smoked weed and finaly i coud feel the moment. I had in this time no thoughts about suicide. It helped me to feel good. And that’s all i ever wanted. I know, it’s not healthy, but then bring fancts about other things, and not FAKE NEWS.
And yes, the depression and suicide thoughts are the next Day back, but you will have the same effect with antidepressiva (or however this medicine pills named in your country.)
But if i took these pills, nothing changed, if i smoked a Joint, i feel much better. Just for Houers, but better for this short time, than never.
So, how could you explain me this?
How is it possible, that weed helped me, but you’re “Studies” say the opposide?
Also yes weed is a drug so are PRESCRIPTION DRUGS as well as caffeine the stuff in your coffee and soda not only that your meat was shot up with steroids not only that sugar has and addictive effect on your body and can change how your body feels such as sluggish drowsy sugar also is connected to cancer something we all eat every day but you choose to focus on weed a drug with minimal effect when compared to something everybody eats and consumes every day I rest my case
Weed doesn’t cause anxiety I was diagnosed with anxiety before I smoke weed, there is a lot of health benefits of weed, different countries are growing and selling medical weed. Weed is not addictive my aunt smoke weed a lot and can still go a month or more with out weed. There is a lot of research that says weed is good and health benefits and a few that don’t I can argue all day about how weed is good but I have no time
Lmao, you sound like a f**king dweeb. Bet your ass is drinking a cappuccino reading a book about how to better yourself. How about you crack a cold one/spark one and get laid lame ass 😂
Hey Victor, my name is Mikey. I’m 19 and I’m an active “pothead” if you will. I was just curious about your thoughts on us “losers”. I can tell you from personal experience that weed has helped me a lot with my depression and social anxieties. I’ve been doing a lot of research recently on the positive and negative effects of smoking weed. Most of your artists and authors from the 1800’s to current have been found to smoke weed while creating their respective works. Examples; Shakespeare, Picasso, and Van Gogh to name a few. I believe smoking has a few more positive effects than you give it credit. One for instance is it’s natural. Most of our prescription drugs today are manmade with many negative side effects. From my research, the most common negative effects of smoking weed are paranoia and increase in appetite. The paranoia comes from the fear of being caught and arrested because it is looked down on to smoke weed by so many people like yourself.
Now when I was younger I had severe adhd and my prescription made it impossible for me to eat. I was extremely unhealthy and actually on the verge of death. Smoking pot has helped me get back to a healthy weight and inspires me to go work out and stay on top of myself. Smoking has helped my insomnia and I truly believe made me a better person overall.
I would love to hear your thoughts on my opinion.
Have a blessed day!
Everybody talking about money and success on that way. Consumed by the world of materialism. There are different types of success, and although weed can cause some sort of deviation from the “normal” path of life, you can never confirm that success is dependent from weed consumption.
This advice is good. I have never tried but got quite close, and people are saying it’s “beneficial to your lungs” and “it’s cool because everyone does it”, like your life, good luck!
I am sorry but I really have a problem with this, just… what? Marijuana can help recent and treat a lot of cancers, diseases, even mental issues. So ya. I was prescribed marijuana after suffering a severe head trauma and it made me feel better and also helped my brain recuperate faster. So, sorry but still have a problem with this article 🤷🏼♀️
Trash the dirty weed and beer. Go buy some quality steak and eggs instead. Save the money for trips to Asia like I do.
Cool site. first time on here.
Holy fuck. While I read this “article” I waited for sth. like “JUST A PRANK BRO!” . It really reads like a parody.
I know that weed isn’t a magical drug without side effect but this article is just so extremly one sided. Even worse than fox news.
btw. Calling people losers won’t help. It will just create and my reaction would be: “Hey, cool shirt u got there”
Lay off the dope. Your mind is deteriorating.
“btw. Calling people losers won’t help. It will just create and my reaction would be: “Hey, cool shirt u got there”
I’m sorry that I didn’t read over it again. I had to head to the grocery store which closed exactly now.
And I always leave some out on accident (do u see what i did there). That happend even before I smoked my first joint.
+ it is just distastefull to get personal like that even though u dont know me at all.
Weed doesn’t cause paranoia, it’s that you’re smoking it when you shouldn’t therefor causing you to be paranoid and worried that you will be caught by police or family. My first time was great, I’ve never been paranoid while high. You can psychologically become addicted to weed but you can’t physically, like heroin or cocaine. Weed is medicine for people with insomnia, depression, anxiety and cancer. I was depressed and it helped me, I will admit when I’m not high I’m still depressed but overall it helped me overcome my depression. And it doesn’t really seem like you have much facts or evidence, it seems very opinion driven. Have you personally smoked/vaped/eaten weed before since you seem to know everything about how “bad” weed is? Weed doesn’t make you lazy, I play basketball and sometimes I’ve played while high and I have no trouble.
I smoke the shit myself and after reading this article I really reflected on all my choices, thinking, and behavior patterns and compared it to when I wasn’t smoking witch was about 4 months ago I’m so much better off without it. The addiction part is so true I couldn’t agree more about the sensitive losers and the first five times it takes to start “liking” it I’ve been wrong before and iam now again I hope I can shake this silly habit and get motivated for better things
Lmao I rolled a J while reading this. Im getting high with Olympic medalists right now. Y’all squares can jerk each other off.
But what about successful people like Lil Wayne (insane work ethic made 3 successful studio albums in 1.5 years), Oprah Winfrey, Robert Downey Jr, Jay Z, Patrick Stewart, George W. Bush, Justin Timberlake, George Clooney, etc that are very successful and have drive? I don’t think it’s a direct correlation between drive and weed, but rather how they were raised and when they started, as research shows that if you start smoking under 17 you show problems, but if not then you are alright. This study directly suggested that it seemed to be more geared towards the way the child has been raised, and who they were around. Interesting article but I think it is a bit naive to just disagree with basically all of the modern research.
I don’t smoke or drink but I’m confused on how one becomes an absolute authority on the matter. Has Sir Vic lived as a pothead loser and then redeemed himself upon eliminating the devils plant from his life? But for real, I agree pot can and will kill ambition, especially in the young. But really!? there is no room for a blanket statement like this. There are many many men and women who have found success with moderate use of weed and only god knows what else. Anyone who makes these sorts of bold definitive statements really just declares themselves a jug head to the world. Bravo Sir Vic the Jughead!
But have you’re forgetting the side of weed the brings out the good in people, sure it’s not good to use all the time, but it sure does help when have a hard day!
Thanks Victor now I can show everyone the reality of being a pothead.
Wow! Weak propaganda like this makes me wanna hit a bong man….
If You smoke weed kiddies you will be a loser like this Steve Jobs guy…. horrible! Or end up as president like Clinton… so better stay away from that stuff…
And never forget: Medical Marihuana is becoming legal again in more and more countries because it has absolutely no positive effects whatsoever….
Dont be a silly sausage…ive been smoking for 20 years, recently i decided to stop. Withdraw symptoms are so bad, in my case stomach pains. Everytime i went for holiday after 3-4 days i was in pain. At first wasnt that bad but recently the pain was so bad i had to stop smoking. Cant go through this again…Please do some research and then comment on this matter. There is loads of people with similar symptoms, i did not want believe myself…weed is bad, very bad.
I will try to write the whole story once ive got more time.
Ohh if you are already diagnosed with something and got few years left then is fine to use it, nothing to loose…People mention famous ones smoking. Do you know how much he/she was smoking? Did you follow them, maybe you where are fly on the wall so you know? For example Joe Rogan started smoking at 30…Steve Jobs is dead btw…
Hi Vic! I guess you live in US and F..k you are lucky! Well I live in Canada and our PM like potheads a lot! Very soon, in Canada it will be legal to smoke f..King weed! Thanks to our government!
Could you please come here and… Well, no don’t do this they won’t understand your point I guess!
I think I should read about our politics and you will probably laugh your ass off!
I love a drink - I do enough exercise to still have a flat stomach at 46, and it’s not a lot, have a great family life, make art, drive lovely old cars, never work too much and more than I’d ever want - frankly if the choice is being a happy person with a few vices but a smile on my face or a grim-faced ‘gonna be a millionaire’, ambitious and never satisfied type - give me my happy life every time.
It’s a lonely path being the angry unpopular money grabbing asshole - the living are just the dead on holiday, stop taking yourselves so seriously.. ;-)
Dear Victor,
I’ve read your article because I’m a pothead trying to quit, and though some points were true, seeing this:
“The only thoughts I have when I smoke cannabis is that I’m an idiot and everyone else thinks the same.” –Every pothead
Made me want to comment and say this is such a bullshit. I’m highly functioning pothead who decided to stop because I get emotionally unstable without it. I’m ambitious, I do two jobs, one in markwting agency and a freelance one, I’m not lazy. I smoke weed so much I’m functional with it as I used to be when I didn’t smoke. I got my M.A. completely high.
So the problem I’m dealing with is emotional unstability, not the problems you listed like lack of ambition, laziness or feeling like a looser.
Weed makes you feel great, relaxed and chilled, it doesn’t make you feel like an idiot. At least not *every* pothead as you claim.
So if really want to help people stop smoking weed then find a real ex-pothead to help you write an article about quitting weed because this was obviously not written by someone who has gone through this.
Best wishes,
Natasha
This shit is a damn lie. Weed is a medicine. It helps with mental disorders and more. I know soo many people soo many who have succeded in life while using mary jane. You all can belive what you want but i know several adults that work go to college and never drop out of school. There is a certain way you use weed to keep you succesful. If you dont want to believe what i say thats fine. But i know my things.
You make plenty of claims in this article. Marijuana I can confidently claim saved my life, and continues to improve my life to this day.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it was a good thing for me to start smoking, I have no doubt that it would be helpful for many people. I have no problem admitting my addiction, though it’s a habit that is particularly easy to kick.
You say “Stoners make xyz claims about weed being okay, and they’re lying!”
Which is cool and all, but if you could actually give examples of how our ideas don’t work in the real world, that’d be splendid. At this stage, I can take the word of the majority of popular science, or take your word for it.
I don’t delude myself on the dangers, but for you to declare it a universal evil takes some gusto.
Cheers, Jono.
While I read this “article” I kept trying to determine how much of a retarded cocksucker are you. And I still don’t have the final answer.
Maybe if you took your hand out of you gym trainer’s ass you would actually be able to write something that passes for English.
However, I still offer my salutations to you. What you have accomplished here is impressive for a round of diarrhea.
Marijuana wouldn’t make the world a better place. It’s executing pieces of garbage like you that would make the world better.
If anybody ever tells you not to kill yourself - don’t listen to them. I recommend you to commit suicide at your earliest convenience.
Have a good “life”. Thank god for condoms. If only the ogres that fucked you into existence knew how to use them.
Your Sincerely,
Professor X.
Potheads, ladies and gentlemen.
I used to smoke quite a bit of weed. Usually I won’t take time out of my day to comment but I feel like I have too today. I agree with everything you just said, marijuana is addictive I kept getting bad trips and other issues caused by the drug but I kept smoking it. It’s a weird drug you don’t want to do it but you still end up doing it. Thank you for sharing this post :)
I’ve smoked weed for 25 years now, and after reading these comments, I finally see the truth. The illusions of fulfillment and progress. I feel like a fool after I do it, guilty, a sense of shame. I want to stop so I can be intellectual again, and discover my true potential in life. An existence of haze, isolation, and anxiety. All because of this addiction. In regards to the main article, and all the comments, I agree to everything said. Thank you all for finally pounding this fact into my stubborn brain.
great post
First, don’t say that no one likes smoking until the 5th time, as if it were fact. I liked it the first time. I wouldn’t use it if I didnt like it the first time.
Secondly, if weed is so terrible and causes medical issues, why do many doctor prescribe it. Many people dont agree with that, but one think I think everyone can agree on is that its tremendously helpful for those with terminal illnesses. I would much rather use something I can grow myself, than be put on a long list of drugs that I cant pronounce, especially when they cost so much.
Also, I think most people dont do enough research. Many studies done about the harmful effects of weed are funded by pharmaceutical companies and are therefore biased from the start.
I do agree that it can affect motivation, it just has to be treated similarly to alcohol. Dont do it on a regular basis.
I also agree that it is addictive. It may not be a physical addiction, but that’s because it primarily affects the mind. That is the one thing everyone always says nowadays, thats it’s not addictive. That is a lie.
I am trying to quit weed. 50 bucks a week, 200 bucks a month, that’s 2600 a year. That’s a used car or a mexico trip. Weed helps my stomach but it also makes me less motivated and just wanna sleep. No matter what weed strain I smoke. I am trying to not go to weed when I’m bored, cause I’m not bored. I just pretend I am to smoke. I cant smoke in the house so I make up excuses to go somewhere (just to smoke). Its ridiculous. Plus I always smell like pot and work has issues with that. Overall, weed may be good with terminally ill patients to keep them comfortbale but we people that are alive should not smoke. Ot is a gateway drug too. Coming from a recovering heroin addict )2 1/2 years clean) now to quit smoking weed for good….
You know what is also bad for your body? Yes, steroids, abundant excercising and bodybuilding. Humans were not meant to be a hulking mountain of muscle such as you. I don’t want this comment too long, so if you want the details supporting this opinion, feel free to react.
You seem to definitely have a personal problem with marijuana, and let me tell you one thing: not everything is as it seems.
I have a friend. She is a total pothead, toking the reefer almost daily. You know what she also has? Yes, success. She is in the insurance business, and at the age of 25 she already leads her own team of 10+ people, and she makes almost four times the average salary here. Her boss is also a pothead, and they both smoke and party together. Her boss with her husband make together over ten times the average salary here. And he sometimes does even cocaine.
You claim that every pothead and drug user is total loser. How come that they have success?
Thank you soo much for the advice…
I see, people who dont smoke marijuana are very negative. They see everything in a negative manner so they cannot see the positive side of it. Better learn from the ancient writings rather than the fact thats just discovered few years back. Humans were born very long time back they were far more conscious than you are now, if you read hinduism’s ancient vedas, their you can find cannabis is under 5 most sacred plants on earth which has tons of medicinal benifits. If you you use more than enough anything can harm you, even oxygen, so it depends on how and for what purpose you use cannabis.
Hey Victor!
I read your article and as someone who has researched marijuana for quite some time now I do find some of your claims kind of disturbing. You’re allowed to believe what you want. But there are many people who are greatly helped by marijuana within their mental or physical ailments. If you don’t agree with the consumption, that’s cool and I respect that. But you’re claiming that everyone who uses or has used marijuana is a loser. Why all the hate brother? Where’s the love?
Sincerely,
A.C.
I steered clear of weed in High School. I was straight-edge. No alcohol, no drugs, no nicotine. Then, when I was 20, I succumbed to the peer pressure of friends and started drinking. I loved it at first. But I realized I was getting fatter, making really bad decisions, and losing entire weekends to drinking binges and the requisite hangovers. So, when I was 22, I started smoking weed. I loved it, too, at first. I said “I never need to drink again”. Being high made music sound better, made watching movies vivid and exciting, and I got endless entertainment from riding through the woods in the passenger seat of my friend’s car, letting my mind run completely wild.
Within a few months, I had my first panic attack. I was basically paralyzed, convinced I was dying, and my world was crashing down around me. I felt truly depressed for the first time in my life during the following week.
The panic attacks would come almost immediately any time I touched the stuff after that. I knew that I needed to stay away from it, but it didn’t stop me from smoking a half-dozen times over the next eight years or so, always with the same awful result.
After that first panic attack, I went back to alcohol, hard. I would be drunk 3-4 nights a week, and my life got more and more worthless. I was in horrible shape, had zero direction in life, and was getting worse by the day. I did stupid shit constantly. I drove drunk because everyone else I knew did. Even after an old friend killed a kid on the way home from work with his car, I still got behind the wheel. My girlfriend at the time was just as bad. And she smoked weed, as well. As I crested 30 years of age, I started realizing that I didn’t need or want it in my life anymore, and quit drinking cold turkey. I moved away. I dumped the loser girlfriend. I dumped the loser friends. I started going to the gym and eating ketogenic. I started building a business. Four years in, and things have never been better.
I want you to look this up right now.
“Marijuana Curing German Man With Tourette’s”
“Marijuana Extract Curing Small Children Suffering From Seizures”
And then get back to me once you have evidence of those videos being faked. Cause I know that is what you will claim. You will immediately claim that it is a lie by the government just so people can be addicted and controlled easier. I know for a fact that you will not soak up this information and realize that its fucking true. Would you like me to link to you? E-mail me.
Agree with everything you said in this article!
Everyday, I dread going to work or to run errands because everyone is a stoner now. It’s as if everybody made the decision to become a pothead just because they legally can now or something. The grocery store is filled with delusional members of the community vaping secret marijuana e-cigs while they hack a bunch of phlegm around in their mouth at the deli counter. Whatever happened to my right to breath fresh air?
I live in California with the legalized BS and I am so finished with the pothead parents and their poor children having asthma attacks from the second hand smoke. My neighbors smoke outside and I can’t have my windows open because the skunky vomit stank floats around and enters my windows. The odor is so terrible that it triggers migraines for me and also I get asthma attacks. When I ask my neighbors to smoke inside their house, they try to explain to me about how the contact high of the second hand smoke should actually CURE my migraines and asthma attacks. Then they try the lectures about how it’s a natural plant and blah blah and I cut them off and argue about cancer causing chemicals in the smoke….etc.
Why did this have to happen? It is a shitty drug and should be limited to medical use for extreme Medical situations. But recreational? Ugh!!! I can’t go one day without breathing that poison from someplace. And it absolutely turns everyone I know into an atrocious jerk of a person!! Not to mention all the driving stoners too, veering all over the road. I wish it could all be illegal. Poor kids and babies. Sorry for the rant🙂
A friend of mine sells weed in one of the richest jewish areas in london uk…. he has very successful clients… majority are bussness owners, CEO’s or successful careers…. they all have expensive houses and cars (ferrari, lambo, range rovers etc…). The rich stoners keep a very low profile so often the general uninformed public associate cannabis with unmotivated un successful people……. take it from someone that knows the real facts about who uses cannabis, your very wrong! Also wonder who owns the dispensaries in the US? Anyway im off to the pharmacy now to pick up my perscribed cbd oil now…. have a nice day 😉
Thank you for this post. I stopped daily smoking a year and a half ago in search of a clear mind. Today I was faced with challenges that sent me into an anxious state, and even now, 1.5 years later, my first instinct is to want to smoke. Conveniently I have half a joint a friend left over, and I’ve been nervously trying to decide if I should smoke it. I googled “resource for someone who doesn’t want to smoke pot”, and they first 5 hits were all about ‘How to smoke pot’, ‘the benefits of smokeing’ and so on.
A year and a half taught me the value of mental clarity, but every so often I just need a reminder.
So thank you. This blog/article was EXACTLY what I needed to hear.
The truth hurts for some people but it is a truth some need to hear. I smoked weed on-and-off for some years, I was able to graduate from undergraduate school with a B.S. in a respectable field, but since I quit I moved on to graduate school to get a M.S. in the same field. My stress is more easily manageable and oh how much more productive I am. In the past 4-months I have learned C, Linux, NCL, Fortran, and how to configure and compile many different numerical models for simulating tropical cyclones and for processing astrophysical and remote sensing data. I always wanted to get my PhD and aim to work for NASA and/or the USGS in the future and I am confident I can now do so. My grades went from B’s and C’s to A’s and a B here and there. Problem solving, mathematics and critical thought are so much easier without the hindrance of THC in my mind and body. One thing I often see is the argument about Cannabis being useful in helping chronically-ill patients such as those with cancer, but the thing is “do you have cancer Cheech?” “are you suffering day-and-night from severe chronic-illness?”, it is a saddening argument when losers pull in the suffering of others to justify their own use of substances. Great article, and I enjoyed the read.
Well put dude. I used to smoke weed daily my freshman year of college and I quit that shit because it was affecting my grades and my social life. So after that, I decided to drink on the weekends. However, quit drinking a few months ago and now I’m fully sober and it feels amazing having a clear head.
I know so many people that smoke pot all the time that are just straight up burnt out losers like you put it. Also, I go to a psychiatrist for my ADHD and one day she told me basically the same things you included about weed being a “temporary fix” that only makes the situation worse.
Anyways, I just wanted to say nice article, I hope more people read it. I’m going to read more of your articles too if you still write
I believe you are smart and may have a point. However, your arrogance and clear bias towards the subject lost you all credibility. No one wants to hear someone say general comments about “all potheads” when there may be people out there that actually need it. Ever consider mental illness or severe anxiety? Not saying you are wrong, not saying I’m an expert. Just encouraging you to have respect in your knowledge and influence toward other people. Knowledge is power, but wisdom is influence. You are using your knowledge to exert your power over those you believe to be lower than you, rather than using wisdom to influence people that you believe in and actually care about. At least try to come across that way. The only people that will love this are people who agree with you. If you want to make a different and turn heads, you need to respect people and your message. I am not hating, just trying to help you do what I believe you’re trying to do. Have an open mind, respect others, and use your platform to empower and influence people in a positive way. Not to dimean people or make them feel dumb by making fun of their addictions or even passions. Sorry for ranting, just care about people, including you. You’re clearly smart, but as I said, your bias and closed mindedness will destroy your credibility with people who actually need to be influenced.
“Ever consider mental illness or severe anxiety?”
Ever consider that you are mentally ill and anxious because you smoke marijuana?
I appreciate your reply, and also proving my point that you are closed minded, biased, rude, inconsiderate, I could go on about that ways you destroy your own credibility, however my purpose in commenting was never to disrespect your argument or belittle your knowledge or you in general.
No I’m not mentally ill, no I don’t suffer from anxiety, and not I’m not a “pothead” as you would refer to me if I did smoke marijuana. I just believe a smart guy like you should consider the way you approach stuff like this because it’s something that actually change lives for the better. Clearly you get feedback and people are interested in the topic and your opinions. I hope you’re able to see that one day and use your influence to uplift, encourage, and influence others in a positive. Right now it just seems like your taking the name “Pride” too seriously as it’s the number one thing I find in the way you are presenting your argument.
Every insult you give to a perfect stranger is a reflection and a projection of who you actually are.
This is what your comment actually says:
“I am closed minded, biased, rude, and inconsiderate. I could go on about the ways that I destroy my own credibility, and my purpose in commenting is to disrespect your argument or belittle your knowledge or you in general (because I feel this way about myself).”
Yes! I agree completely. That point of smoking weed and immaturity? Enough said.
Imagine a Lecturer, a CEO or Teacher turning up high at work and saying ‘yo dudes, imma chat about business today man’. Imagine him or her talking like a stoner… would they seem as mature and intelligent? Only to other stoners, or immature people. lol
I have all the reasons in the world to stop, but i fucking love being high, even a bit too much, how do i overcome it?
Thanks for this. My best fridnd and family member got addicted to weed. I would get high with him and we had fun but I dont need to get high morning noon and night. 24/7. He Does. He got rapidly addicted. It suckd. He couldnt do anything without smoking pot. He turned into a loser. He became irritable at everything! omfgosh I told him the truth, that he acts like a chode now, that pissed him off, which I found ironic and funny but ultimately, disturbing, that the marijuana is making him so irrationally addicted, he cant admit the truth. He becsme a liar and stole from me too ( a pot brownie I bought bc I had the opportunity) He started acting like a huge Bitch every single day, all he did was smoke weed, before and after work. After that he would get high in his bed all night long,( he smoked a lot) he stopped talking to me and our room mates and like you say, was irritable especially when confronted with the fact he is a shitty person. I said hey-youve been getting high every day for a month-No i havent! he says. ( hahaha, oh boy) Yes you have. No, thats bull shit. exact quote. Add a huge lie of rationalization. Dude i said Im with you every day, I know your habits 100 percent. I literally SEE him doing this.
Long story short, he kept smoking every single day for three months. Kept getting stoned as fuck every night. Got more snd more of a fucking douche. Nobody likes him and hes selfish loser. Not really but bc of the weed! 😭
He says to me after eating pot brownies that he wants to quit. I am relieved. He came to his senses. A good man. Admits to everything. Admits hes lost control. He says, lets throw out all the weed. Goes on a thirty minute run convincing me its right. I questioned it because I just bought weed brownies and wanted to save one for a special time. But me, supporting my friend, says Yeah. Ill throw mine out too.
I wont get high if you dont he says
Well if thats what it takes for you to get the fuck back to not being a loser, then fine.
I throw out my pot brownies, he throws out his ounce, we just bought.
I am happy we did this. Its not good
A day later, he finds some of the weed like a half gram, he says, with a huge smile, wanna get high one last time. No I said. Let me see that. He gives it to me. I threw it in the toilet. flushed. He goes ballistic. Well Fuck U Botch. I think.
we get into a heated argument started by him. exchsnge fuck yous and he threatens me lol. to kick my ass. Now hes at the gym. Pissed off cause I held him to his convictions. I know I did what had to be done. But it still hurts that he went crazy over this a heck of a lot. He lost his mind. I said, you talked about this for 30 minutes, we agreed. Still dude- He is irrationally mad. Well eat shit is all I had to say to him.
Ill kick your ass right now! he says.
Fuck off is my response.
He is out of control and he knows it. This article made me affirm every single thing I started to think sbout my Stoned Friend. Fuck that guy. Im not gonna smoke anymore, after reading this. And definitely gonna be against it for my kids. I thought it was harmless for some people but for me I got paranoid as fuck so I quit and started later in life. It was ok with a best friend. It was ok in really micro dosing dosages. I dont really do it bc it scares me and I hate thenparanoia. I do it in miniscule amounts. One bite of weed brownie for instance a small bite. He would eat two like a fucking retard after all my warnings. If i get paranoid I did too much. So as you csn eee I quit with my friend, but for him its gonna be hard but still he knows the real truth. I am going to bring those emotions to the surface whenever his mind n body are tricked into wanting more. Its really fuckin pathetic ill admit but its somethi g hes going through and I am gonna be a Dickhead about it. Weed makes you okay with where u are as s person and steals time you should be sharing with others I dont wanna touch it sgain personally
Great Great article. It said everything thats true. That I couldnt figure out how to write myself.
Sorry for the f bombs but I had to make this as emotional as it has been and used a words short cut
I have uncontrollable seizures without Marijuana. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Don’t forget about all the people way more driven and successful than you that smoke marijuana. Your logic is flawed, your facts are made up, and you attitude is similar to sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling “LALALALALALALALALA”.
Like all marijuana addicts you act like a child.
CBD oil is wonderful. Smoking it is bad for the lungs. Use CBD oil instead for pain and seizures instead of trolling on here.
Hello Everyone,
Well I do not agree with everything, it doesn’t need weed or any other substance to make you a failure or a loser well basically those 2 are only mind sets you put yourself in to BUT of course weed, alcohol or any other substance can harm you and kill your drive if it is already low and when you try to use them as an escape.
I myself smoke around 2 blunts a day, sometimes I go for few weeks without smoking at all but if you have problems don’t try to smoke them away, nor drink them away because that will only backfire on you always follow the rules 1. Whom 2. When and 3. Where.
I myself am married got an amazing wife and a great baby boy, I currently own 2 restaurants and have a construction company thats booming, I go on a daily base to the GYM and I am raising 2 dogs as well which alone is a job by itself hehe but everything is great and it couldn’t go better.
So basically what I want to say is it is not the weed that determines if you are successful or not but if you abuse it like anything else in life and you yourself are not in a good state of mind stay away from it.
Weed is the reason my friendship with an American friend ended just 2 days ago. I caught her attempting to influence my American boyfriend negatively to smoke pot on Facebook. Even got into a brief argument with my man for it! She hails from California, where this evil drug is legal and my man is from Ohio, where it’s legal but for “medicinal” purpose.
All my life, I’ve stayed away from every single illicit drugs that exist out there and I can say… I’m happy and proud to be drug-free!! I’m from Bangladesh and here, this has been illegal since the 80s and the government stopped all productions of weed and ever since this bitch asked my man to “party” with him by smoking pot, I’ve been soo upset, I started raising awareness about the harmful effects of weed on social media with many of my peers disagreeing with me and labelling me a “liar”! What made me more upset was, that most of my boyfriend’s stupid friends are also into weed and often pressure him to take it and have been doing so since their teenage years. His cousin even grows weed plants and makes those so-called “edibles” out of it.
My boyfriend even claimed the drug to be “not add ictive” and also claimed that it’s “harmless” and it “saves lives”. He’s not at all aware how harmful it is and doesn’t even see it or recognize it as a drug! I never expected him to be so marijuana-obsessed and everytime I think about it, it breaks my heart. I worry about him and his health 24/7 and he’s not taking any of my words seriously. We have future plans to leave our countries and start a new life in Canada and now that Canada has legalized weed, I fear for my future with him every single day. If that drug does ANY type of harm to him, I will not be there to save him!!! That’s how upset I am with him right now. If he realizes his mistakes, I’ll give him a second chance and arrange therapy for him to help him recover and if he doesn’t… I’ll leave him to suffer alone and eat all the pizzas without him.
As for that former friend… hope she rots in hell for eternity!
I want to post this on my social media but would get a load of abuse, and I can do without the stress. I ve tried smoking it but didn’t like it. Horrible feeling, like not being in control of your own brain. No thanks
I shared it and thankfully no one attacked me for it publicly… but, I got criticized on the messages just for speaking up against marijuana. Those friends of mine on Facebook who support the use of pot don’t recognize it as a drug and what hurts me the most is, that my boyfriend also thinks it’s “cool” but it isn’t.
Hey, I was a chronic coming out of highschool starting in gr 9 and I can assure you that this article is accurate. After years of smoking marijuana all different ways I experienced the horrible side effects to it. I didn’t feel successful, had really bad anxiety, depression, no ambition , and no money in my bank account. I’ve just recently decided to quit and the addiction is real, it’s on my mind constantly about wanting to just go get a bit and be high again but I’m so dedicated to being successful that I’m quitting for good and healing all the negative things it caused for me. Thank you for writing this because it motivates me to continue on with one of the greatest decisions in my life to quit marijuana and start becoming successful and not a loser pothead.
This was me before I smoked. You need to understand that marijuana arguments ones personality.
Hey Vic. Came across your article and just wanted to say that I loved it. Amen. I’ve never had an intellectually stimulating conversation with a stoner. Even functioning addicts are better people than stoners IMO. Weed makes people lazy, stupid, and unmotivated. A lot of stoners will also put their drug of choice above their family and friends.
Last week, I was staying with my family and found out that my cousin is a stoner. He graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and honors. He volunteered every summer, got multiple scholarships, and had a job. Now he just sits on his ass all day playing runescape and smoking weed. He also dragged me to a weed deal on my way from the airport. I left early because he insisted on smoking weed and driving. He yelled at me and claimed it was totally safe. I know people who plow through eightballs that function better than stoners.
So let’s say you decide to use marijuana before a boring or standard lifting session in which you know the movements like the back of your hand. Will weed inhibit muscle building? Despite a number of adamant bloggers insisting it will diminish your power output or amplify your gains, the answer actually remains unclear.
For example, because long-term use of marijuana downregulates the expression and responsiveness of the CB1 receptor, in a manner similar to frequent blood sugar swings leading to insulin resistance, some say that THC may impair muscle building by interrupting the mTOR signaling pathway, which is important for protein synthesis. Furthermore, an oft-referenced human study shows that marijuana inhibited secretion of Growth Hormone, which does indeed suggest inhibited muscle building. However, this study used a very high dose of 210 mg THC per day for 2 weeks (that’s a boatload of weed), and while mTOR disruption by THC has been elegantly shown in the brains of rats, it has not been studied in human muscles; thus these deleterious effects on muscle synthesis are purely speculative.
Notably, the non-psychoactive component of marijuana, CBD, has been shown to regulate mTOR in a different way than THC, and CBD has been repeatedly shown to induce several health-promoting effects such as killing breast cancer cells, ameliorating epilepsy, and increasing cognitive performance in mice. Perhaps CBD counteracts the potentially detrimental effects of THC on muscle building. This would simply mean that the different components of marijuana could be helpful and harmful for muscle synthesis, and in practice, consumption of THC-rich strains would need to be accompanied by absorbable CBD oil to counteract any loss in muscle gain potential. Ultimately more focused muscle-building studies are needed on human athletes to make conclusions.
Ben, always the relentless self-experimenter (as we know from photos like the one below from his UConn study), has actually been experimenting extensively with CBD oil extracts in his training (combined both with and without THC-rich edibles) and will be reporting on the effects in detail soon. As a matter of fact, if you listen to podcast #314, you can hear Ben’s thoughts on 10, 15, 20 oil-based THC doses and even a rather humorous 250mg (yes, 250) edible THC doses.
