From the desk of Victor Pride
Subj: How to be a professional rebel
—————-

You think of rebels and you think of outlaws, tattoos and guns.

But the reality is that all the massively successful people in the world were either rebels or they were born rich.

Were you born rich?

Maybe you were, but most people weren’t.

And the path laid out for normal people is not the path to riches, it’s the path to mediocrity.

Personally, I’m glad that accountants and dentists exist. I’m glad they didn’t follow their dreams.

But on his deathbed the dentist isn’t going to say to himself “I’m so thankful I never did what I really wanted to do. I’m so glad I never rebelled and fulfilled my destiny“.

Speaking of destiny,

I get the same question asked of me repeatedly…

Victor. I want out but I don’t know what I want to do. What should I do?

Two answers:

  1. You’re a liar. You know exactly what you want to do. Everyone on earth knows exactly what they want. You know it in your gut. You’re lying to me and you’re lying to yourself when you say you don’t know what you want.
  2. Asking questions (permission) is simply a way of avoiding action. When you ask a question you get to wait for an answer. Waiting is the opposite of doing.

There’s a surefire way to living the life of your dreams and a surefire way of living the life of your nightmares

How do you live the life of your dreams?

Easy.

Follow your gut.

Following your gut instinct is the path of the rebel.

How do you live the life of your nightmares?

Easier.

Follow the directions laid out by society.

To be a rebel is to face being ostracized.

They say it’s a lonely road to the top so it’s easier and safer to follow the path laid out for you. Gut instinct be damned.

Let’s go back…

Earlier I said you’re a liar if you say you don’t know what you want out of life.

The reality is that you know exactly what you want out of life, you’re simply scared of admitting it.

When you pretend that you don’t know what you want and you ask questions like “What should I do?” what you’re actually looking for is confirmation that your gut instinct is “OK”.

Too bad. You can’t have confirmation.

Confirmation is for the 9-5ers. It’s not for the rebels. It’s not for the highly successful.

You can have confirmation if you want to be a dentist or a banker.

You can’t have confirmation if you want to be an artist or an entrepreneur.

No one is going to give you confirmation that it’s OK to rebel.

But there’s a conundrum…

You will only attain massive success if you rebel and go against the grain.

Not only will success come when you rebel but you may be hailed as a genius and a leader. They’ll sit around you and say “wow, I wish I could do what you do“.

You’ll think to yourself “you can do what I do. Just stop waiting for confirmation. The longer you wait for confirmation the further you will get from your goal.

But you won’t say it out-loud anymore. Because by that point you’ll realize that everyone who asks you for advice is a time waster.

Everyone that asks you “what should I do?” is simply looking for a way to stall.

How to fulfill your destiny

Stop asking “what should I do?” because you already know the answer. It’s been decided by your gut already.

I know but the self-doubt stops you.

I know you think you aren’t good enough, I know you think you don’t deserve massive success, I know you think you aren’t smart enough.

But it doesn’t take a genius to get wealthy. It takes determination and a belief in yourself.

Dumb people get rich every day. The difference between them and you? Self belief.

So how do you get rid of self doubt and replace it with self belief?

Always follow your gut instinct.

See, I know something that maybe you don’t know…

The gut is the second biggest nerve center in the human body and your gut can be called your “second brain”.

The decision making part of your mind is tightly interconnected with your gut and the decision making part of the human body has very little connection with the area in the brain that processes words.

So where does the decision making process happen?

In your gut.

Your gut makes a decision in an instant. What happens is your brain rationalizes why you shouldn’t want what you want. But you can’t fool your gut.

Here’s a game for the game players and time wasters

If you don’t believe what I’m saying to you, fine, no problem. But do two things for me.

1) Stop emailing me your time-wasting questions and
2) play this game…

The game is called “How to Decide What You Want”.

Here’s what you do…

Pick two options.

Pick what you know you want in your gut. And then, pick the thing that you’re pretending to want.

Now flip a coin.

Heads you follow your gut, tails you follow your brain.

It doesn’t matter if the coin lands on heads or tails. When the coin was in the air you were wishing for heads and you knew what you wanted.

Now you have confirmation. You don’t need to ask permission anymore. You know exactly what you want.

So go do it.

No more analysis paralysis. No more questions allowing you to stall.

Just go do it!

Until next time.

Your man,

-Victor Pride

  1. Robert S. says:

Did you hear about Dan Pena?

    • Victor Pride says:

      No.

      • I’m sure you’ll enjoy his book - Your First 100 Million (2nd edition). I recommend it to everyone. Not only book. Everything. Best material you can find on how to get rich!

        • I’ll second Dan Pena ….this is the only book after the millionaire fast lane that actually set my head right and really contributed to my bottom line.

          • Victor Pride says:

I watched him on London Real. Loved him, but his book is no longer for sale. He said he stopped selling it when he found out about torrents. He said “go get it for free” so someone send it to me.

          • Matias Page says:

I finally managed find a copy online (following Dan Pena’s suggestion). It’s not that easy to get. Thank you for suggesting his book.

          • Matias Page- do you have the link of where you found it?

          • Matias Page says:

Justin (and Vic if you’re interested).

I used google to get it. Search exactly for this (all the first search results work): “dan pena your first 100 million pdf 43.96mb”.

I’m only sharing these instructions because the man literally says in the interview to “go and get it for free” and the book is not officially for sale. It was a physical book. And this version I got is a scanned version.

          • Thanks!

          • guys you can get the book here for free -Dan Pena - Your first 100 million.pdf
            http://j.gs/4pzj

          • Hi again Vic,

Did you managed to get the book (Your First 100 Million) and read it? Any feedbacks?

    • Dan’s cool but not my kind of brew. I recently started my own empire http://rebelnride.com. Like Victor says flip a coin. Mine landed on do what my gut says and make it work using my brain. If there is one tip I could give it would be- Stop listening to other people. When someone says some bull shit to you, stop, and say FU. Most opinions are based on BS. Once you learn that, you are 90% there. The other 10% is busting you ass to get it done.

  3. Finally another Video. I hope to see more!

    • Yeah the videos are great. He inspired me to post a video on my site that I’ve had on my hard drive for months. Definitely going to post another one.

It was a video on how to obliterate fear, anger, and frustration. Check it out.

  4. Great post!

I was at a bar with my wife and my dad this weekend and the bartender and I were talking about the virtue in hard work and the value of effort. He was weak jawed, in his 40s and tending bar at an American chain restaurant. I own my own business, work from home, and my wife and I for the most part do what we want, when we want.

I said that hard work was the key to solving your problems, that you can get up and bust your ass and work and you’ll find your way out of any situation. He told me that I didn’t understand what it was like for poor people, who were trapped in their poverty by some kind of outside source. He told me, “You have your dad, he’s been very successful, so you don’t really know what it’s like to be poor or start from the ground and work your way up.”

What he didn’t know is that my dad left when I was a kid and we’ve only recently reconnected. I proceeded to lecture him on how I had to get jobs through high school to help my mom pay rent, how we moved from room to room in other people’s homes because we couldn’t afford a house or apartment of our own, how my mom was lucky to make $800 after taxes at her shitty job. How I spend my time calling, going to business, and hustling to make my business successful.

He looked completely ashamed. Finally I said, “Don’t tell me that you know more than me when it comes to success. I’ve started a business and you’re 40 and tending bar. I’ve done something you never will.”

People these days are completely deluded into thinking that some sort of external force holds the reigns to their lives - as if their choices didn’t steer everything they do.

Great post! I read it, and now I’m watching the video (also: keep making the videos).

    • Great story. Everyone loves to make stories for the successful to justify why they can’t attain what that person has. Most of the time it has to do with that person being lucky or being born into money. Heaven forbid someone busted their ass and made the life they dreamed of. It gives them no excuse as to why they can’t do the same and they are left with the cold hard truth…. They can’t do it because the WON’T do it.

    • Victor Pride says:

      Featured comment. Great story.

    • Maybe you achieved a little, but was it necessary to be an arrogant dick towards the bartender ? It is easy to judge people, but you don’t what demons he is fighting every day….. Grow up man!

    • Dillian Flat says:

      Mr. Sheppard,

The bootstrap story was and is irrelevant to your very point.

Had you acted like a man, logic would have been employed instead of insolence.
Why not politely explain that hard work is a universal principal, the truth of which is not continent upon any given individuals personal experience(s), and simply move on (or not) with the conversation? Your failure to do such (the obvious really; instead taking the opposite tact) ironically undermines your own credibility.

Genuine confidence does not involve external reference. Nor does it pitch &/or pose on past accomplishments. Substantiating yourself in relation to the shortcomings of others is self defeating; conceptually, it reflects a lack of internal compass. It would be encouraging if you would grow a pair and stop gratuitously wasting network bandwidth with ‘I’m a winner juxtaposed this looser’ anecdotes. That “He was weak jawed” slays me; as if channeling Howard Roark, without all of the internal integrity, real confidence and external composure.

You sir, are a colossal hypocrite.

      • I totally agree. You were definitely right to stand up for yourself but a softer approach would have benefited him more in the end.

Success is available for everyone. It is our internal programming and fears that hold us back. That man was not attacking you, so why did you feel the need to get defensive?

Comrade, this man has not had the opportunity to overcome his limiting beliefs that have been keeping him stuck. Had you examined the situation more closely, you’d have realized that he was reaching out to you for understanding and compassion.

Go read the Buddha Spit Story. It will help you to enjoy a higher existence filled with Peace and greater Strength.

When you give strength, you receive it. It is a karmic law that cannot be broken.

        Peace, comrade.

    • James Krahmer says:

“People these days are completely deluded into thinking that some sort of external force holds the reigns to their lives – as if their choices didn’t steer everything they do.”

You just said it. The problem of choice. This is the clash between existence and essence. When you make a choice, you are fully responsible, accountable and liable of that choice. When you don’t, and you are ‘forced’ into an option, the blame or praise is no longer yours. (Sartre and Nietzsche)

That is the fundamental difference between winners and losers.

      For a loser:
Essence precedes existence. You are destined before you choose. Some higher authority, external force, supreme being or supernatural entity is the reason behind your failures and the reason behind the success of rebels. These excuses include luck, fortune, God, circumstances, life etc. Pick any superstition, I’m damn sure it’s been used as an excuse.

      For a winner:
Existence precedes essence. You make a choice and change your destiny. There is no higher authority, external force, supreme being or supernatural entity that can get in your way. You are fully in control of your life, and you are fully responsible of its outcomes.

And of course there are the other excuses such as fathers. I can identify with your past Remy. My father was shit. He was a fool, a gambler and a pussy. He never took any responsibility. He never made it easy. He was never even there. But did that stop me? Did that stop you? Did that stop any winner? Fuck no. Be proud Remy. You have balls of steel.

All men are guys, but not all guys are men.
Man is the transition between the guys and the Overman.
Wait what was the original? “Man is a rope stretched between the animal and the Overman.” Ha.

I’ll give two examples of Overmen right on this page: Victor and Remy.

      Enough philosophy now.
      ————————————————————————————————————————————-
      Victor, your turn.

This is a new level of art my man. I just saw this today. The video is very powerful. The speech delivery was flawless. Calm, monotonic and retrospective. I’m impressed Vic.

      My recommendation:
Do more of these with a bigger, better production. We live in an audiovisually consuming society. Videos will greatly increase your popularity. Because they have greater chances of being shared. They speak through your voice, which focuses on you. They deliver so much in so little time.
      Wow-makers indeed.

In opposition to the commenter who stated that you won’t progress much as a professional blogger, what he doesn’t realize is that you don’t stop. I swear, every time I happen to visit Bold and Determined, new features are growing at a fast pace. Podcasts, videos, BADwear, Spartan Entrepreneur, merchandise etc.

I’ve been focusing on your voice. You’ve been training it as it seems. I don’t know where all of this is going. But I have a great feeling you’re going to fork out of the blog industry into some new type of fusion industry. I really hope you do so. You deserve this. You seem to have a plan anyway.

If you realized, my visits are becoming more and more frequent. And if you’re able to keep me attracted, you’re able to keep anyone attracted. Take my word for it.

Also, Vic, quick question. How would one be able to send you something via e-mail?

      Keep up the good work.

    • Great comment but your mom making $800 a week is hardly “scraping by.” That’s $41K a year. Even in NYC (except for Manhattan), you can live comfortably and not feel like a pauper. A few years back I lived in a basement studio in Queens and paid only $500 a month. This was not a tiny studio either. It was about 1200 sq ft. and I was making about $26K a year.

  5. Wow! Nice message and nice video!

  6. i like your point don’t sit around and make excuses! The people who ask for permission and approval are people looking to get no where. Im rockin the same right now thats cool, haircut for winners! I call it the Vin Diseal haha! Good video bro youre a true inspiration.

  7. Vic do you speak Thai? Any advice on how to progress on my language skills? Did you go to classes or learn by your own?

    Thankyou Vic!

    • I learn English as my third language.
      Tips: 1000 hours of practice.

    • dude…did you not read the article?

    • I am currently learning my 5th language.
Grew up with 2 , learned another 2 at school and decided to plunge into chinese about 3 year ago.

The key to understanding a language in 4 steps:

1.) First, understand your approach. You have to acknowledge that a certain part of learning is simply going to suck. There are no shortcuts, no mysterious systems, no balloney about magical immersion. You will have to get your hands dirty, Learning a language is not “fun”, it sucks 70% of the time because you are grinding out repetition after repetition. Failure is key. You only learn by failing

2.) Get the writing system down while immersing yourself in an environment where all you hear and see is in your target language. If you can’t read you can’t speak. (duh!)
Putting on music or movies in your target language will help you to get the flow and pronounciation right.

3.) Understand basic grammar while adding as many words as you can stomach to your flashcard deck. Try to get to 500. From there start adding sentences only to your deck. The words and sentences you add form that point should be something you are interested in. There is no use in trying to get happy with classical textbooks and their dry academic subjects. ( I have a chinese buddy whose textbook for english has a chapter speaking about the merits of textpointers-no joke) If you like a certain movie in -for example -japanese,, then watch the shit out of it, cherrypick the words you can understand and add them to your deck. Trust me, noone has ever gotten fluent in any language relying on textbooks soley

4.) Write short essays and give speeches in the language you are learning. Try to speak to as many native people as you can. Once you reach the 10.000 vocab mark and are able to speak for 10 minutes traight without thinking too much you can consider yourself fluent

The process is really that simply, yet practicing the grammar, writing notes all the time and adding as well as praticing vocabuary is extremely boring.

There really isn’t anything more to say about that. Just work for 2 hours a day, everyday and in one year you ll see dramatic changes in your abilities

      • Although alright tips FOR STUDYING… these are bullshit ones for LEARNING.

Whether it is “fun” or not, is an useless concept. If you have the reason, YOU CAN TOLERATE ANY HOW. Anything is fun if you know the POTENTIAL of your work. If it is boring/not fun, then you are not doing it for any real reasons. You are doing it because this is what your mind is telling you to do - it is something you are “supposed to do” because it is “beneficial” or “smart”.

I am studying a foreign language solely for MONEY MAKING OPPORTUNITIES. I have a clear goal/mission in my mind. I can study 10+ hours per day and not get bored. Why? Because I have the reason to do what I do.

This is the formula for success while learning a new language. I am doing this right now.
        1. Move into the country where they speak the language
        2. Interact mostly/only with locals who cannot speak English
        3. Study 4-10 hours per day. If you are a student, then MINIMUM of 6h of studying + real life practice. Many of the language practice is memorization which is nothing but HARD WORK. After you memorize -> transfer it to real life practice by having an experience where u use the language.
        4. Get a local girlfriend who doesn’t speak English. Learn her.

We are not learning a language “just for fun” or “pass time”. This is no bullshit way of real practice. This planet is full of faggots who waste their time studying language for years while never becoming good because they never take the risks mentioned above.

  8. As always, wonderful post. There are a ton of similarities between what you have to say here and what MJ Demarco preach

  9. Good article but bankers can become extremely wealthy, which surely makes them financially free. I’d say being a trader with your own money is a form of freedom, would you?
But to get there you need a large initial amount so I think working for a few years isn’t too bad.

Bloggers such as yourself do make a fair amount of money but I’m afraid, in my opinion, it’s impossible to become extremely rich with a blog.

    • Victor Pride says:

      Arianna Huffington.

      • Anton Kreil
        Warren Buffett
        Jacob Rothschild
        George Soros
        Carl Icahn
…maybe not ‘bankers’ as such but all have backgrounds in banking and are extremely wealthy

      • Victor,

I am a fan of yours, but Arianna Huffington is hardly an example for the common people, blogging or not bogging. She started from a very privileged position, as I am sure you know.
Huffington deserves respect for what she accomplished, but it’s not the same as a Howard Schultz, in my view.

    • Bankers can become wealthy, but rich is not just financially free. Read the Master Key to Riches. I would venture to say that the dude that makes 1 mil a year but has to work 55 plus hours a week is not as rich as the blogger who makes 100k a year, can do whatever he wants with his time, and has the money to live the way he wants. No sense in having all the money in the world but no time to spend it with and no time to spend with people who matter to you either.

      • Agreed DT. There’s no point to money if you don’t have the free time to use it.

      • free time doing what? fucking around doing nothing? when you like what you do 55 hours a week is okay and with 1 million a year, your free time will be of much better quality.

        • It is not about “free” time or money . It is about the entrepreneurship( a free life) and the proud of owning and running a business that you have total control over. There is city in China called Whenzhou best known for producing the most of successful entrepreneurs in China. If you go visit this city, you would see everyone is running a business from a small corner resturant locally to multi- billion dollars company globally. One of the principles the people there live by is ” I would rather be a homeless boss/entrepreneur than working at a well paid job for someone else.” They are rich brcause they value entreneurship and being able to make money on your own more than anything. And once you are the boss, every single second of your life is free.

      • and to make 100 k online you got to work a lot too, victor didn’t create that flow of money drinking beer by his pool 8 hours a day

        • TheGreyWolf says:

          Time is the ultimate currency.

I work 50 hrs a week to make $60k a year. My discretionary spending is $50 a week.

My kid makes $8k a year. His discretionary spending is $100 a week.

          Life(shit) happens.

How we respond is what matters.

          It’s about…

          Time.

          • Don’t relent, comrade. No matter where you’re at, it’s never too late to break free from your predicament.

It will take time but it will always be worth it.

            Live on!

  10. Konstantin says:

I’ve noticed that the gut always calls you to act, be brave, do what you want and what you need to do.

But what about people who claim they are ”stuck”? Is their gut suppressed because their brains are enslaved by society? Or are they just not listening to the gut?

Is the gut feeling ALWAYS there or can it be suppressed?

    • Victor Pride says:

It’s always there and it’s almost always suppressed.

    • The real question is how to release the gut, so-to-speak.

There are physical exercises that can help you literally release the tension in your body…heart chakra exercises, for example.

But if your gut is suppressed, you must start small.

Practice listening to what your “heart” or “gut” is telling you. It won’t start off as a crystal clear voice that you can hear. You’ll have to start smaller than that.

Ask yourself on your day off what you feel like doing. Ask yourself what you feel like eating. Or what you feel like wearing.

Do these things. No matter what they are.

Then pay close attention to the thoughts in your head that are perhaps recoiling against your “gut decision”. AND…there you have it…

Those thoughts are probably why your gut is suppressed in the first place.

When in doubt, do what you want to do. Even if it seems like it’s crazy.

I just finished an article about this on my website. Click my name.

  11. Nice vid man, I’ve noticed this myself with people asking for advice, I’ll go to great lengths to help them and they don’t actually act on the advice.

I’m going to be heading to Thailand in Jan 2015, what’s your opinion on Bangkok vs Chiang Mai for the entrepreneur scene?

    Ryan

  12. I absolutely love the layout and how easy to read and take in every single one of your posts are.

Been great to see the evolution over the last year of you showing you face and body more and more! Awesome post, keep kicking ass!

  14. This site just gets better with every new post.

  15. Nice Video Uncle Vic,
That chick toward the end was totally checking you out.

I would love your opinion, should I wait until i have my shit together before i go pursuing women, or divide my focus between my priorities and women?

  16. Jisan Nabi says:

    Hi Vic,

Good point bro. Looking forward for some more videos.

  17. Man, Victor…you know how to deliver content. I love how you always link your other posts into your current one. So professionally done. Really, one could get lost on your blog just reading and consuming success principles, which are universal… Thanks for never giving up on YOUR dream and making this quality content available to everyone.

  18. How do you live the life of your nightmares? Follow the directions laid out by society.

    For me: 100% TRUE

I didn’t know how to get the life I dreamed about, I didn’t know what path to take, I was once confused about many things, but one thing I always knew … what society want me to be, SUCKS!

Thank you Mr Pride. Another good post.

  19. your power your glory everything i love here one thing i want to be vic a adventurer:a person who look for life enjoyment and wealth without the 9-5 jive i know what i want but you are my mentor and/or advisor and you teach me about the world should have been when you write a article tell them about being a man and doing what you what i know what i want vic know what he want but what do you want vic teach me i learn and earn from if it not useful then burn it

    -Raymond Emmanel Bridgeforth
    Age:15
    Goal:enjoy life and have wealth

    Thank you Victor pride

  20. Love the coin flip story, always been one of my favorites.

  21. Hey Victor, great post you got there.
The podcast with music is nice, I like it, it reminds me of a movie where the character starts talking about something EXTREMELY important and you can hear the music in the background.

Can I make you a suggestion?

I think it would be better if you actually add more musical and tonal variations to the podcast.
I heard it and is very static and monotone (the dialogue is great, but I personally prefer to read) you know what I’m saying?
It’s like playing a single chord and doing a melody over that uses only one note.

Instead of that, I think it would be nice if you add more chords, more emotions, more tension, more variation!

I’m saying this because I actually write jazz-progressive-rock-adventure music (https://soundcloud.com/marianohay-n/sets/merging-dynamics) and I know what I’m talking about ;).

If you listen my songs (especially the epic Ascending Continent) you will see that I vary the rhythm a lot and I try to convey different emotions to the song: tense, adventure, happiness, relax…

Now, I think you can do the same to your podcast:

+try to speak more low sometimes, like whispering
+try to scream on the important moments

This way you can emphasize important parts of your message in a better way.

in a nutshell: try adding more “colors” to your podcast. Did I made myself clear? However, you must understand that’s not strictly necessary to “sing”, there a lot of songs out there that are very varied musically/emotionally and the singer instead of sing just talks… but with more emotion!

    It’s just my opinion!

  22. Inspirational as always.

P.S. Very reminiscent of Boyd Rice’s spoken word material.

  23. Damn, those shoulders are wide, man. It’s good to see the mentor/bigger brother who cares side of you.

  24. Hello Vic,

I know what I want. I Want a big beach property house on an island in Hawaii. I want to own a Lamborghini. I want a hot little wife with big tits and a killer ass. I want to travel the world.

The problem becomes what I must do to make my vision a reality. I’ve started a blog, wrote a couple articles and that’s where I’m at. I find writing articles boring. My gut is telling me my ideal job is not an office job.

My gut tells me that I belong somewhere like the military. It incorporates athleticism, discipline, hard work and brotherhood. This conflicts with my goals though. This pathway is not the ideal way to making the big bucks.

So are you supposed to love/enjoy your job? Or do you do what you have to do regardless of how much you hate it?

One more question Vic. I am 19 years old and don’t have the experience per se to write an A+ blog. My niche is bodybuilding as I have always loved weight training, and it’s actually how I stumbled upon Bolden determined. I’ve built a good natural physique but as you know that’s not saying much. I finally come to realize how important steroids are in building the physique you want.

If you want to be a fitness model or make money off your body you have to pin them glutes. During this a 19 years old? Not a good idea. I’m not too excited about fucking my endocrine system up at the moment. On the other hand I don’t want to have to wait. I want to get started now. I want to be a go-getter not a no getter.

My grandparents own an insurance agency and they rack in six figures a year. I can always start working there and then eventually own the company.

Do you have any advice Vic? I know you’re busy man so I really appreciate you responding to this.

    Thanks a lot brother,

    -Ty

    • if thats what you want than go pin yourself, I mean, if you want to be a real deal bodybuilder you’ll have to cruise and blast anyway. Check johndoebodybuilding.com, he did gear at 19. I know a guy who went to high school with me, I havent seen him in a while and yesterday I went to the gym and he was there, and he was fucking, I mean fucking jacked, a god damn big lumberjack, and he is 22-23 years old. I’m 6 foot 200 pounds and I felt like a little boy next to him, I was intimidated and started to think about what I looked like doing my lifts like and idiot. Being that tall, that big and that strong is fucking intimidating to other guys, it commands respect and gives you dominance. thats something I’m look forward to become.

    • Victor Pride says:

“My gut tells me that I belong somewhere like the military. It incorporates athleticism, discipline, hard work and brotherhood. This conflicts with my goals though. This pathway is not the ideal way to making the big bucks.”

You can but it takes many years. I know many men who went this route, military, then started their own consulting biz. They do contract work out in the desert and come to Bangkok on holiday 6-8 times per year. They aren’t rich like kings but they aren’t hurting for money. They work a lot but they get a lot of free time off as well.

    • I used to work in the aerospace field. If you’re good and understand the politics, as soon as you get out of an officer career you can get quite enough $$$ just by consulting around. You would have many fields available: weapons, security, performance optimization, industry-to-government relationships etc.
Just be the best at it while you’re in.

PS: one day I was walking to my cubicle. An old guy, shorter than me, was walking with a leather bag in his right hand. He had a squared shirt, and was wearing kakhis. I had no idea who he was. When we reached the cubicles area, someone sitting in a cubicle spotted him, stood, run in front of him, and saluted him with a military salute. As soon as he did that, other ex-soldiers ran and did the same thing. I had no clue who the guy was. Then, the Vice President (a former soldier) of that multi billion-dollar company got out of his office, and did the same thing. The VP waited for the older man’s reply to the salute, and then finally shook his hand as regular businessmen do. Then, they went to the VP’s office, talking about business. I found out that the old man was a former general, very respected by everyone. Let me tell you, when a VP of a company like that salutes you as a soldier would, you know that the following business meeting is going to go VERY well. That is to say, reputation is everything and I bet that it took that retired general many years to build it. Yet, he did.

    • Nah man. You don’t want to go into the military. You just like the values it represents.

You’re 19 years old. Go on a vision quest. Save up a couple grand and go have some unique life experiences while you have the chance still.

This will help you to “find yourself” and do some deep thinking.

Create a quest for yourself, whether it’s backpacking across 4 states or hitchhiking across the country. And think long and hard about the questions you want answered. Then go out and find the answers.

Amazing things will happen to you. This is your journey, comrade. Be a man and live it. Stop using your brain so much and just get out there and DO. The answers will be illuminated inside of you based on the experiences you have.

And when it’s all said and done, you’ll have a hell of a lot of stories.

Trust me, you don’t want to go into the military. Victor said it himself, “you get days off”. That’s no way to live, brother.

From Full Metal Jacket, “Your heart might belong to God…but your ASS belongs to the ‘Corps!”

Go at it alone, comrade. Don’t sell yourself to the killing machine. It will steal your soul and capture your freedom.

  25. Great post.

I used to be a heavy paralysis-by-analysis guy. What solved it for me was saying, “Do something, anything.”

The fact is, whatever options you might have, and whatever dreams you have, right now, you’re sitting doing nothing - wondering about the future. In ten minutes time, you’ll still be doing this.

It’s better to do ANYTHING, regardless of whether you think its your ‘life purpose’ or not. ‘Life purpose’ comes after action.

As for ‘not being able to,’ nobody does well the first time. You get good at stuff by doing it. Start a website, start a business, write a book. It’ll probably be terrible. You’ll hate it. But then whatever it is you hate about the product, you change in version two. That’s how you get good at stuff.

    • Yeah people always want their answers “NOW”. Well, that’s not going to happen, so give it up.

It might take you years to find out what your passion is. And once that happens, your passion will probably change from there.

But if you’re going after things your “gut” tells you to do, then it doesn’t matter how long the process takes because you’re enjoying every minute of it.

That’s why they call it “Passion”.

  26. Manly McBeeferton says:

Great vid Victor. Intensity is the key, that clip has the intensity to blow the roof off.

  27. Nice Post :D

  28. Fuck you cut to the bone. Thanks for reminding me of a few things.

    Oh and awesome video.

  29. Absolutely right. It reminds me of the post long ago where you talk about being alone and telling yourself what you want - what you really want. I’m know what I want and it ties in directly with how I achieve that. I’m weighing out and choosing between paths, but sometimes I feel that option A is the “Hey, this isn’t THAT bad, it can be pretty good . . .” option and that option B is my calling. I have to be completely sure before I can commit. Great article.

PS: The music is fantastic, it fits really well with the scenery and message.

  30. Do I need to purchase WHOIS privacy for my blog? It’s an extra $9.99 on webhostinghub.

  31. This is really relevant to all that I’ve been thinking about lately. The major element that separates the great ones from the rest is that they had the balls to go after what they wanted. They broke the rules and didn’t look back. Courage, my friends. The courage to be a rebel.

  32. Vic,
That was one of the deepest post I have ever read! It hurt worse when i heard your podcast. The truth is that we all know what we want to do deep down inside but for many of us we over analyze too much to a point that we begin to second guess ourselves and we begin to look for confirmation. But like Vic said there is no confirmation in life you just have to do it come hell or high water!

I always wondered why those who have nothing are able to come and build something from nothing! My Dad came here from Europe jumped the boat with just the clothes on his back and decided to make his life here in the US. Mind you this man has a 6th grade education and during his years here he was able to carve out a nice little life for himself. Now he and my Mother are going away for a few months in Spain and staying in their high rise condominium over looking the beach!

He was not college educated like most of us here nor does he speak English that well like we do. But that did not stop him from creating something here! He made the decision a long time ago. He went against the grain and made it!

I figured if he can do it then we all can do it and achieve even more than he did. But that Fear is what is holding us back! We have to accept that we might fail but what if you succeed?? if your Gut tells you to do it then go ahead! There is a reason why they say “Follow your Gut instinct.”

I know what I want to do and I’m already doing it but there is one more thing and after this I think its time for me to continue my upward progress and I would like all of us here to do the same. Vic told us the truth yet again so if you got something in mind then do it!

If you wait you will never achieve success!

Live like a Rebel and stop being like everyone else!

    Great post Vic!

    • Victor Pride says:

Always a great commenter Jose, and another great story.

      • Vic,
Thank you for deciding to do this! To help those who are in need of help!

Keep doing what you doing and you will be even more blessed with success!

        Jose

        • Yes sir, it’s a karmic law. Victor is successful because of the value he relentlessly provides to others.

That’s why if you want to be successful, focus on helping people and giving them value.

Nice comment Jose. I’m checking out your website now. Love the headlines so far.

I’ll shoot you a ping. Cheers, comrade.

  33. Vic your journey has been so amazing to watch.

You are making a real difference in other peoples’ lives.

Thank you for contributing to society in a massive way. I personally appreciate what you do very much.

    Cheers mate

  34. Uncle Vic,

How safe is it to live in Bangkok?

Would my girl feel safe going out at night?

Do you have any personal recommendations for getting more information about moving to Thailand?

My girl and I have a goal to move either to Bangkok or Chiang Mai in 8 months.

    Thanks,

    Mike C

    • Victor Pride says:

Very safe. Girl’s shouldn’t walk around at night, alone, anywhere in the world. That should be common sense and my girl doesn’t go out at night alone. That being said, Bangkok is safer to walk around in at night than any major American city.

    • DoubleLongDaddy says:

Hey Mike when were you going to announce you were moving, to your sqaud on Danger and Play! Congrats bro, very bright decision, you choose freedom same as me!

  35. Awesome as usual Victor!

  36. If you guys notice one thing… here, Victor doesn’t show us flashy riches, expensive cars, hot girls, exotic pools, money, etc… He probably could if he wanted to but he doesn’t need to. He shows us a value of freedom and reality. There is another video out there of Victor Pride explaining to us why he shaved his head and used a metaphor relating to getting rid of earthly worries and emotional attachment to materials.

I like the message of this video. It doesn’t show us false promises. It shows us the reality… that we can do it too. The only thing that prevents us is our own weak mindset.

what he is showing us in this video is straight up… Freedom. Notice he walks to anywhere he wants …
the real entrepreneur lifestyle… having freedom from achieving money and time. Here as he is walking, I’m sure many of us are working in a job some of us might hate. While Victor is spending time doing whatever he wants to do on his own term. The message of this video speaks a lot.

  37. ”If you guys notice one thing… here, Victor doesn’t show us flashy riches, expensive cars, hot girls, exotic pools, money, etc… ”

He doesnt have a car, did show his girlfriend, did show his pool last post and did show money a couple of time hahaha… there is nothing wrong with having nice things man.

    • you’re right, there is nothing wrong with having nice things. It’s his choice and he can do what he wants with his money. I never said having things were wrong.

If you read my post all the way, I was making a point that this video shows what freedom is.

  38. You should get some Ray Ban’s!

  39. How wide are your shoulders?

  40. Victor, let me first say that I have read nearly all of your articles, as well as bought and enjoyed both of your books. I love every single one of them, especially this one. But I don’t understand the point of the video. It seems excessively egotistical and pointless to have someone video tape you walking around a city. Using just the audio, you could have made the exact same point. Ofcourse, self-confidence and a touch of selfishness are essential to be successful and content in life, but why make us watch you walk around? Though my opinion doesn’t mean jack to you, as well it shouldn’t. Seriously though, you wrote an amazing article.

    • Victor Pride says:

“but why make us watch you walk around?”

Made you? If you’re prepared to admit to me and to yourself that I have the power to make you do anything then I will further answer your question.

    • the video was cool, you could see how the Asian women was drooling over the tall muscular western white man trying clothes.

  41. Heads!

  42. Vic I want to purchase a domain right now so no one takes it.
Do you recommend buying the .net and .org as well?

Also, correct me if I’m wrong but do I need to buy web hosting too even though I won’t be working on it just yet.

    • Victor Pride says:

You don’t need hosting if you aren’t going to be working on the domain. For the net and org, if you plan to brand it in the future I’d grab those as well just to be on the safe side.

  43. This was an incredible message. I’m extremely grateful that you do what you do. Your philosophy of success is so straightforward…so PURE.

I’m so glad for your blog, not only for myself but on the behalf of all the men out there who gain so much from your message.

My three favorite things about your message are that it’s:
    1) So
    2) Damn
    3) Simple.

I love how you don’t waste time on extra words and superfluous ideas.

    * Listen to your gut. Period *

    Great stuff, Victor. Thanks again!

    D/C Russ

  44. Victor Hits another great post out of the park
I run operational K9 teams in Afghanistan, Instinct-Trusting your Gut , has saved myself and my teams more times then I can count. I have had dogs stop at a door turn and look at me like, “Don’t go in there”, animals trust there instinct’s, 85% of humans , live in Denial, seeing the world thru rose colored glasses. Its all there for you , you just have to bust your ass, learn and think outside the pack.

  45. B&D- My second home… Thanks Pride.. your site has changed my life entirely for the pass 6months..

  46. Hey Vic,
How did you develop your deep masculine voice.
Can You write a post on that.
    Great video Man!!!!

  47. Charles Chaos says:

Yeah, the gut instinct is like the bodys own alarm system.
I try to think if my gut instinct has ever betrayed me, and my conclusion is no.

This post is very relevantfor me right now.

As I’m writing this I’ve been offered a quite good short time paying gig.
It would boost my economy short time, but it’s nothing I want to do full time.

However, my wallet and brain says, take the offer! You need the extra money!
But my gut says no. Something is wrong with it. Don’t do it.

I haven’t really any immedeate plans or stable income than this offer right now, but i trust my gut and I’ll see where it will take me.

  48. Terminator says:

Dont follow your gut and grow up depressed and confused.

  49. Any winners in Chiang Mai that would like to meet ?

  50. Hey Vic, yet another work of art.

At the moment I’m working and saving up to pay off my loan I got when I was younger (Dumb I know) but in the mean time I’m happy enough to work a job in a bakery and get my self in peak condition for when I quit, And start working on my blog.

As you say Vic you need to look good before you can get successful.

P.S 10 days into 30 days of discipline and feeling Amazing tried recommending your site to the guys I work with but all I get in respose is “that’s cool” and they go back to talking about their day to day shit.

Thanks for all the work you do Vic

I’m on, like, day 10 of 30DoD, but it’s taken me 50 days to get here!

I too have talked about B&D at work.

One guy started teasing me about losing enough weight to disappear.

I don’t him, “Don’t panic. Remain calm. There will always be enough of me left to kick your ass.” ;-)

They’ll turn around one day and I’ll be gone. I will have moved on to a life of freedom and happiness.

      They’ll wish they’d listened.

  51. MediocrityIsDeath says:

I remember Mike from Danger and Play said something very similar that stuck with me: “you don’t have questions, you have fears.” Great stuff Victor.

  52. ‘I’m glad they didn’t follow their dreams.’

    Damn, man. Slavery is slavery.

  53. Hi Vic, great article.

You hit the nail on the head when you said most people asking questions are looking for reassurance and a excuse to wait than follow their gut.

    I have a bad.net question.

It says we get a free domain for signup, I have a .com in mind that is currently unused and i want to purchase. Can i get it via that, or would i need to purchase it seperately with another domain provider?

    thanks vic

  54. Hey vic , wanted to ask you …. is there anything you are lacking of ? what i mean by that is … something you used to have , some qualities , some resources or some certain feelings you used to have in past but now lacking it ,and want it back .

  55. Vic,thanks for another great post.Victor, how can we fine- tune this instincts and this guts feeling, so we can benefit from it more?Because many claim they do not rely on it because it has failed them several times.

  56. Evo Bulgarevo says:

    Cool movie :)

  57. Excellent article Victor. Keep up the good work.

  58. Hey Victor,

I’ve been following you now for a year and a half and I’ve never commented until now. You never cease to amaze me.

What I would like to read, is more about judgind people’s characters, how you deal with emotions (both in your love life and business life).

Also, what do you think about being cocky in life? Is it ok?

And lastly, where does your inspiration or motivation come from?

These questions aren’t directed only to Vic, I’d actually like to read replies from other followers.

    Cheers.

    • Victor Pride says:

It’s extremely easy for me to judge a person’s character. I listen to their words, I look at their eyes, I look at their body language and I know if they are genuine or if they are fraud artists.

  59. Vic,

You mentioned in your podcast that SEO is a waste of time and that you relied heavily on the content of your articles for traffic.

You have also said in the past that you never paid for any type of marketing.

How do you think people stumbled across your sight when B&D first started with all the other sites on the internet with topics and articles similar to yours?

How did your site get ranked?

More importanly, how did you know what content people were hungry for? How did you decide what to write about.

I think this will help a lot of your readers.

Thanks for the video above, badass!

    • Victor Pride says:

I haven’t explained this many times? I wrote what I wanted to write about. How did google rank me? I don’t understand this. If you have a website google will rank it.

      • I obviously wasn’t clear enough there.

If I don’t do any SEO work, how will people come across my content online when they search for it on google?

        • Victor Pride says:

I’ve never done SEO of any kind. How did you find me? Don’t answer me just think about it. And don’t ask me again, this is already the 5th time.

    • As Victor said, I found this site looking up books. I found an article called something or other about books men should read. There was a link here. I read an article here (don’t remember what it was), and stuck around.

Write good stuff and people notice. People willingly become your advertising without you having to pay a dime. This site could easily be garbage if it wasn’t for the writing. Something about Victor’s more “in your face” writing is what kept me around. Someone yelling at me through this glass screen in black words saying, “Man up, take responsibility. What got you into this mess might not be your fault, but you continuing to live in that mess is.”

I’m sure there’s dozens of different stories for how we found this place, but in the end, it was enough, wasn’t it? Especially now with the wearable merchandise running around, Victor’s going to have walking billboards advertising for him. And you know what? That’s us (collectively) paying to advertise for him.

See how this works? SEO won’t mean much if the stuff on a site is still garbage.

      • The same thing that’s been true for centuries is still valid:

        Word of Mouth.

Doesn’t matter if your passion is writing articles or cleaning toilets. When you do amazing work, people notice.

No amount of SEO can out-do sheer quality in the long run.

  60. So, I saw a few people talk about Bangkok. Outside of safety, just what benefits are there from living there?

Is it really that much cheaper than here in the States? Any other benefits I should know about?

  61. is it just me or Victor Pride with the sunglasses in the beginning of this video looks like the current Jean Claude Van Damme

  62. In the words of Charles Bukowski..

    http://m.9gag.com/gag/aDw4vg9?ref=tp

  63. Victor do you still lift weights? And r u still taking trt? It looks like u r not anymore. It sounds like money is your number 1 priority.

  64. Maybe he was asking you what to do, as in; what kind of business should he start? It’s a viable question, some people don’t have ideas or want good ideas. Start the wrong business and you’ll go broke and fail. Some people don’t have the luxury of going broke more than once so it’s one business and they’re done.

Just saying, it sounded like he was asking you what business he should start, not what he should do with his life(two different things), maybe you avoided the question on purpose and rephrased it, I don’t know. Everyone knows what they want to do with they’re life, I wanna fuck bitches, drive fast cars and snowboard. But not for a living.

  65. Shawn Stewart says:

Victor , Do you have any dream {or i should say PLAN } of buying a supercar ?
if yes ……… Which one ?

  66. Awesome post as usual.

Excuses, procrastination, waiting and other bullshit are just a symptom of oneself not knowing who he is. When you don’t know who you are, you don’t know what you want because the desire and oneself are inseparable.

People just have masks full of bullshit lies controlling them what they should be and what they should do… they are chasing dogs seeking for completion, acceptance, validation or what not. Not real men.

I know exactly what I want and it is almost too easy to say it: MONEY AND POWER.

I don’t even care about women anymore unless they increase my social status (power) or treat me like a fucking king. In a sense, women have very little to give to me, while I have EVERYTHING to give to them because without me they are empty vessels. Too bad 99.9% of men don’t feel this way.

  68. Great tool! . I’m now going to begin working the coin toss into my decision making process.

  69. Quite interesting how many commenters are craving for V’s approval. Especially in the context of this specific post.

  70. Victor, what do you think about conspiracy theories, that occult groups control the world behind the scenes and that they make frauds and stratagems to enslave world population in sort of a evil system. That the foundation of our world is sinister and darker than we think.

    • Victor Pride says:

Do the world leaders get together and make plans? Of course. It it dark and sinister? There’s more than enough evidence to say yes.

      • I have a feeling that monday’s (where I live) and today’s terrorist attack in Canada were just another case of staged act by the elites to reinforce security control by the state and to provoke a war again.

        • Victor Pride says:

I have no idea what happened. I’ve created my own bubble that I live in and I’m perfectly happy here. The “news” doesn’t reach me unless it’s gigantic and other people won’t stop talking about it.

You get into the conspiracy theory and you start getting depressed and despondent. You don’t want to achieve any more because “what’s the point”. Following conspiracy theory is a one way ticket to nowhere. Even if it’s 100% true.

  71. ¿Qué pasó con ElMachismo.com? ¿Volverás a escribir ahí?

  72. ivyleaguer says:

Hey Victor, I love all your advice about becoming an entrepreneur or being a blue collar laborer, but what if my gut instinct was to pursue a career as a professor? This requires many many years of schooling, which you say is a waste of time, but I KNOW that this is my gut instinct. I can’t get rich, but does money matter if you’re doing something that you love?

    • He said it in the video man, follow your gut. I’m pretty sure he means extra school is useless unless your career requires it. This video’s more about your gut vs a safer route, and if they’re the same in your case go for it.

  73. Great Video Victor! Exceptionally high quality. Has been re-running the video since past 2 days.
Listening to podcasts while on drive. Top resource on the planet for men.

  74. My gut told me ,the day of our wedding day, to dump my ex wife; I ignored it and paid the price.
Just this past week I was all set to buy a house. I’m forty and it’s the first time ever owning a home. As the process went along my gut began to say no. I listened and backed out of the deal. I bought a beautiful parcel of property instead. The peace I feel is amazing.
    Always trust your gut.

  75. Today I heard a guy in a restaurant saying: “I know how my life is going to be the after the next year, I’m going to get a job, I’ll stay there for all my fucking life, my kids will try to take as much money from me as they can, I’ll retire with a pension that allows me to stay alive and then I’ll fucking die. I’m going to be a Godinez (Mexican slang for boring office drones) forever”, and he meant it.

At first, I felt low after hearing that shit, but now I’m so fucking glad I heard it, I’m glad because now I’m even more motivated to NOT be like him, like you said once: “I’ll sooner die than go back to the shit-eaters world”. Maybe that guy’s fate is actually that, but not mine.

  76. Your articles are more inspiring that all those Tumblr quotes and motivation books all togheter .
My problem is that I am a bit lazy and like comfort, but after stumbling upon your blog, I bought some good from the internet and sold them with a higher price and made twice as much money than I have spent on buying the goods. It’s not much, but it is a start so thank you !

  77. Great post - I love the audio version with the awesome background music!

  78. Victor I just read that you hurt your pinky and can’t workout for a while. How do you eat so you won’t lose muscle and get fat while not working out?

  79. I said this once, I will say it again.
Victor Pride is making sissies into men and actually changing lives.
When I found B&D this summer I started my own business, if anyone can give it a look and say what they think and what I should improve (positive or negative opinions).

If I were you though, I would change the color of your links from pink to something else.

And since your website is about “productivity on morning”, I would suggest you change the picture from lion to something else that represents morning. I mean you can keep the picture of lion if you want but I would change the picture if I were you.

But you do seem to have some good number of followers to your website so I guess your content does look good. Keep it up. If you tweak your website little more, it would really stand out from the rest.

    Nice post!

  81. Badass Vic, awesome message. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Great idea using YouTube as a platform to deliver your content over. I think it’s a lot more personal than solely blog posts - the videos are very effective. Keep up the great work, man. I’ve enjoyed following you and watching B&D get better and better. You’ve helped me a lot in my life, and have been a major inspiration to me. Thanks man.

But I was born a man, luckily an Aryan man! That’s all I need! Thanks Victor for everything you’ve inspired me to accomplish! You are the Epitomy of The Masculine Revolution! You’ were one but now we are multiplying! And we are coming! And we are hungry!

  85. Looking forward to seeing and hearing more from you Victor on youtube.

  86. Victor is the real deal, not just another internet “guru” scam artist.

He actually gives a shit about helping other people.

Everything that he’s posted, has value.

I have used a ton of his FREE advice and it has delivered results.

I email him and he replies, ALWAYS.

Shit, sometimes I email him over and over and he stills replies.

A little pissed off, but he replies lol.

You guys need to actually take action and DO what he says.

Don’t just read what he writes, actually USE it!

I started my blog a couple of weeks ago using his FREE advice and feel that I am doing pretty well.

I still have A LOT of work to do but I am at least making progress everyday.

In the words of Victor, DO THE WORK!

  87. Hello Victor. Regarding the newsletter I also had a boxer fracture (metacarp 2) , happned while I knocked a guy down. Between the rounds when I touched my hlowes I felt that something is wrong, but I was was like fuck it, I have hurt my fists 100X times before (never broken though). I won the 4 round most desively. I punched him with my broken hand and he was tired, he barely touched me. After I removed my gloves I saw that my finger is at entirely different place that it was supposed to be so I was a little freaked out. But I went running every day for 6 weeks - no lifting and afterwards my hand was little atroffied but was in a best shape of my life :). Now everytime I look at calous on my right hand I know I can fight with broken hand and completely bloodied and win anyway.

Victor question to you not related to my story: Do you believe in rewarding yourself when passing milestones of your succes ? Not luxury but something special, just a treat ?

Thanks for great article and cool videos - all of them

    • I mean my hand was weak but overall I was in best shape (cardiovascular) of my life :)

    • smoke a big cigar! I can imagine myself smoking one big ass cigar after getting a deal done.

      • I prefer smoking a pipe myself. Just gives you that old timey feel sitting out on your back porch smoking some good cherry tobacco out of a pipe. But that’s just me. Try to get out there and enjoy it once every few months….don’t wanna make a habit out of it.

  88. Victor, only found your blog about a week ago, but it’s a seriously kick-ass blog and one of the sites that have motivated me to start my own. Sick of working for somebody else. Doing everything I can right now to pay off debt, side hustle a few things, and change my career path because honestly… every path I’ve had mapped out is depressing. I’ve been working all these years for whaaat? Thanks for the inspiration.

    • Yeah it’s a real drag to imagine donating 1/3 of your life to surviving. I can’t believe so many people are willing to do that!

I mean, you spend the other 1/3 sleeping.

I’d rather be a nature survivalist than do the life-sucking crap people do for 8+ hours every day. It’s MADNESS! I’m totally shocked that people put up with that.

That’s why I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make my own blog successful. Even if it takes 10 years.

Congrats on starting your blog, I’m going to check it out now. Cheers.

  89. Hi Victor,

I like the way you are moving forward in making Bold&Determined more professional. I hope the empire will get better and better.

Was that the abundance move at 3:11? Hahah….

    • I’ve been following Victor for years now and it’s gotten better so far. One thing you’ll learn about Victor is that he never stagnates.

He keeps coming up with new ways to engage his audience. And you’ll see that his empire is only going to keep growing.

I look forward to the future of B&D!

      Cheers!

  92. Hey Vic, what’s your take on today’s social media obsession/addiction? Most of my friends seem to be glued to their facebooks and phones all day, it’s a bit sad but that’s the norm everywhere.

  93. Hello Victor,
I love your blog and this post really got my brain spinning.

My dreams have always been to become a fulltime artist and musician, having my own rock band and get my music out there.

But everybody’s telling me how difficult it is to survive these days. The industry seems to be totally fucked up and this gives me a lot of self-doubt.

Recently I’ve decided to start a music related blog where I share all my experiences and practical knowledge at the same time as I pursue my dreams.

My goal is to make around $1500 - $2000 a month on my blog. This way I’ll be able to finance my life, become a free man, and pursue my dreams without having to waste away at a mindless part-time job or 9-5 jive which would only suck me dry of all the precious energy I need as a musician.

Do you think I’m doing the right thing here?

    Thanks

Great post as always. Articulate and straight to the point, no faffing around. Good.

I’ve been debating with my gut for a while now about what to do with life and with this suitable post it seems like a good time to do it and say loud and proud.

I’m going to get the ideas for novels that have been buzzing around in my head for months written. It doesn’t matter if the work comes out crap, I’ll write till it’s great and then onto publishing.

Time to step into the world of science fiction…..

  96. Hey Vic, Happy Thanksgiving. I’m missing your updates but I hope you’re enjoying yourself around the holidays. Take care and I can’t wait for your future updates.
By the way, Hendricks vs Lawler II is this Saturday. You got your money on Bigg Rigg?
    See you back soon.

  97. Hey,

I found this letter and thought that it completely resonates with everything your blog says.

I decided to share it because I think both you and your readers could greatly benefit from it.

It’s called the “Gary Halbert boron letters”.

They contain some “golden nuggets” and are extremely valuable in information.

For those interested, check it out.

    Best regards.

  99. Italian G says:

Just saw your business card. I really like it. Hey Victor how do I stop being a looser in life? HA! F@cking with you. Your a savage. I love it. Motivation from the man… PATTON… If you disrespect him it’s because you fear him. Even from the grave he conquers & drives men’s hearts. If you love him it’s because you still run with the wolf pack… http://www.generalpatton.com/quotes/ now listen to this and read the quotes… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uql3mAPuxdg That’s called hypnotic trance. I broke your state… What is state? Why do we need certainty with states as humans? How do you evoke state? HYPNOTIC RHYTHM OR CALLED STATE done by ritual… What is Ritual? Movie… Gladiator.. Before he fights he rubs dirt from under his feet on his hands…. Why? Because… He probably watched a soldier before him do it. Had his first battle… while he probably defecated & urinated on himself he survived… Are your challenges so scary?

BTW… my all time favorite for 14 years… By the most successful general in history… “In case of doubt, attack.” The Desert Fox got castrated by “Old blood and guts” . I have shook the hand of a man that shook Rommel’s hand. Also shook the hand of the man that pushed the button to release the weapon over Hiroshima. Meaningless to you… everything to me… I’m still changing your state… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dIUM4LRVsE You love me…. I give you stuff… Wait? Does that mean those that can give certainty of state can gain hypnotic control over you? Woah… are you trippin bros?

  100. Sankarshan Acharya says:

    Victor,

Why did you take down your latest blog post and the Youtube video that was attached to it. I am talking about the recipe for building a beef body post.

I am just curious why you took it down? (I know this is irrelevant to the content of this article)

  101. I have to say, this website is outstanding.
Back in early 2011, I was a slob. A loser. Directionless. I was a nobody.
My brother (who was around 20 at the time) introduced me to a very interesting website called “Bold and Determined”, and I found it interesting, to say the most.
Your posts fired me up. They made me feel alive and they made me question my lifestyle choices.
But then I never checked back on this site.
However, by some random stroke of chance as I was lifting weights in the gym, I recalled an old article of yours about how to look like a fucking idiot in the gym.
Out of curiosity, I came back to check on the site, and I’m currently speechless.
This has lit a fire under my ass more than any well wishes or money possibly could. I can only imagine the amount of work that this took you (26 pages of quality content? Fucking impressive).
By the way, you are one handsome motherfucker.
Victor, I’m sorry for being away for so long.
I don’t come on the internet much, but this website will always be my favorite.
Keep kicking ass and taking names, keep winning, and never stop growing.
    Beautiful work.

  102. Goddamnit so much! Just had to get this out there, wished I had found all this shit out so long ago. I have spent years, fucking YEARS going AGAINST my gut with my head, and all that gets you is all the WRONG things..

What a waste, but damn I won’t fall into that depression crap either, rather its fuel for the forward fire, and its never to late to follow your gut.

So much good information here, there is something new to absorb each and every day, ain’t it great that when you follow your gut you feel so much more alive!

  103. William West says:

Hey Victor, first off, love your blog, you’re a real inspiration and you’ve made a huge impact on my life along with Mike’s and Chris’s.

I’ve come to a crossroad and I’m now seeking guidance choosing which path to walk. I’m 19 years old from Sweden and I’ve been in to (term is obviously a bit ambigous), hardcore self-developement for quite a while. Hence dismissing what society says and paving my own way towards my inner visions and dreams.

With both ways having its core in my heart, deciding which one to commit to have been one of the hardest tasks of my life. Having reached solid “milestones” in both areas and now needing to devote more time and focus to achieve further excellence, I’m seeking your thoughts on the matter.

First alternative is the business/entrepenour road where I’ll keep working on my current online projects as I’ll study engineering/business/programming (Industrial Economics). The education is very sought, scored top 2% in the Swedish equivalent to the US SAT’s allowing me to apply for the education. Also, this is because I want the knowledge as well as contacts the university provides. Swedish education is free so it won’t put me in debt.

Second is pursuing my career as a producer/DJ, played internationally at festivals and to reach further this needs full focus and dedication.

I decided to go travel alone around the world this year trying to come to a conclusion as well as gaining life experiences and getting further in my self-developement. As Im writing this letter to you in my notebook Im situated in a Zen-garden in the southern mountains of Japan. Meditating on the matter the thought occured, why not give a shot and write to Victor.

So what are your thoughts? How do I choose between my hearts two voices? Flipping the coin just won’t do the trick.

    Yours truly

    • I’m not Victor, but here’s my two cents on the matter.

The first alternative was listed first, and you posted more about it. You likely want that one more.

  104. Hey Victorious Pride

When you get a phone call from Joe Somebody what do you say?

ex This is Victor Pride…at your services! jk

    • Victor Pride says:

You think I’m at anyone’s service?

      I say “hello”.

      • No I was just envisioning you at an office in another life where you made a killing in real estate.

I’m not looking into real estate per se but I have a big fucking interest in salesmanship…
Where did you start? Recommend any good books?

        • Victor Pride says:

          I see.

Answer this phone like this: “Hello, this is Cesar”. Don’t make them guess. Books, no. Try biggerpockets.com, it was good 7 years ago but cannot vouch for now.

  105. Vic, when is it a good time to stop hitting up the bars/clubs to pick up dirty sluts and start a business?
    30 fucks? 50 fucks?
Or should you just put clubbing on a minimum, work your ass off, and fuck with girls on occasion from online sites and occasional clubbing?

  106. This is what I’ve been searching for all year, but forgot I had the answers anyway. Or suppressed, rather. It’s crazy how we need to be told to take the Red pill, to make your own destiny, day after day and it doesn’t really click…and then I found this. Thank you Vic. Time to rebel.

  107. I’m so glad I found your book. I always thought I wanted to be a doctor. Now that I become one, I realize my real dream was opening a blog and living abroad as a rich immigrant. Luckily, surgery has become boring after a while and I was able to get enough money to found my dreams. I now have a startup blog and already writing my first book on how to get laid with women. Typing all of this from beautiful Poland, where I am seen as a god.

  108. You know what my gut says?
Stay home and play video games.
I can’t trust that, I can’t trust my gut, so I go out and talk to people and hang out on purpose…

  109. Great post, loving the videos!
