How a Commitment to Excellence Made Me (and my inner circle) Financially Free

Subj: Lessons from Mr. Lion
———————

Howard Stern once asked Jerry Seinfeld if he was ever “off”.

Stern asked if he was ever “just in the moment, not looking for the joke, but having a good time or arguing with your wife or something”.

The extremely successful Jerry Seinfeld replied “No. I’m never just ‘in the moment’, I’m always on. I’m always looking for the joke. Always”.

Me too.

Bold and Determined is my life and I’m never “off”.

Everything in my life is for Bold and Determined and B&D hasn’t been out of my thoughts for a single instance in 3.5 years.

Never.

I know what you’re thinking….

But Vic, you only write once a week, once every two weeks, once a month etc..?

4 reasons for that….

1) Writing articles is only one piece of the puzzle.

The equation isn’t write more articles = make more money.

The equation is publish the best articles + give it time = more money.

Publishing articles constantly would be a waste of my time and I value my time more than anything.

2) The amount of art I create and don’t publish could make another man rich.

I am always working on something but I put out the best or I put out nothing. I don’t give a damn if it’s two months in between posts.

3) The way I run my business is a little different.

I have one main website, Bold and Determined, and I have satellite sites that revolve around my main site.

30 Days of Discipline, Body of a Spartan, BADNET are the main satellite sites and then you’ve got the social media hubs like YouTube, the iTunes podcast, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

I call the whole thing BADWORLD.

I do business this way because I don’t like combining different things into one mish-mash.

My satellite sites run themselves and don’t require any daily attention from me. They take a tremendous amount of work to get live and profitable, but after that burst of work I’m finished. There’s nothing I need to do except collect $$$.

I’m always working on satellite sites - but that doesn’t mean they always get published. They rarely get published. See point #1.

4) I don’t talk about my behind the scenes plans.

I don’t spill the beans to anyone unless they’re in the inner circle. The inner circle is exclusive and elitist. There are only 4 people in the BADWORLD inner circle (including me), the rest of you will just have to wait.

I followed those 4 guidelines for years, guess what happened….

I’ve become completely financially free. I had money before B&D but I actually had to go out in the real world and do some work. Now I don’t even have to leave my war room if I don’t want to.

badworldwarroom

The Official BADWORLD War Room

Not only am I financially free, but my inner circle doesn’t have to worry about money either.

There’s a big difference between working and having a job. Having a job is for suckers, working on something that benefits you long term is what winners do.

Anyone who works for me doesn’t have to work a real job. There is no time clock, there is no micro-management, there is no incompetent boss, there is no being stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic yelling at the idiots who can’t drive, there is no affirmative action and there is no equal opportunity.

You pull your weight, you get taken care of. Period.

Example: Miss Lion, part of the inner circle, doesn’t have a job because:

  1. She doesn’t need to have a job, she’s financially free thanks to me
  2. I want her here working for me (cooking, cleaning, ___ing) and
  3. Jobs are no way to live life - I wouldn’t make her do something I hate so very much

Like I said in the title, I made a commitment to excellence. That commitment turned into financial freedom for me and my chosen ones.

But another thing happened that I never expected or planned…

Having a commitment of excellence, dedication and discipline has turned me into an authority figure and a father figure.

I never wanted to be anyone’s daddy (well, not for men) but here I am in that position - in real life and on the internet.

My girlfriends have always called me daddy but to be 28 years old (when I started B&D, not now) and have guys emailing me telling me I was like the father they never had was a little new to me.

And it still happens every week.

So instead of running from it I embrace it. I want to see young men of character fulfill their destinies and I’ll be here to facilitate that. That’s a guarantee.

I still won’t tolerate morons, but young men of vision, courage and spirit will get great benefit from future BADWORLD output.

As it happens I’ve taken on my first “intern”. He’s got a great pool-view condo just two floors down from me and he gets to eat nutritious and delicious food all for the price of working for me 24/7.

How to intern/apprentice the right way

Normal interns are stupid people. They aren’t working for knowledge or to learn a skill, they are working to add some words to their resume so they can get a job in the future.

To add those little words to their resume they work for free for their masters and they get zero in return. They have to beg for money from their parents, they have to live on credit cards, they live like dogs while they “survive” their internship.

My guy isn’t surviving, he’s thriving.

The best way to “intern” is to not intern for a company but to apprentice for a successful individual.

To get any benefit from an internship you’ll want to be more like a personal assistant to a big dog than to be a coffee boy at a big corporation.

To a big corporation you’re just free labor. They couldn’t care less if you succeed or fail in life, they have no skin in the game. They aren’t responsible for you.

When people are fully responsible for you they care about you and they care if you succeed because you can directly affect their bottom line.

My “intern” isn’t really an intern. He is my apprentice. He gets room, board and food but that’s inconsequential compared to the real value.

The real value of “interning” with a successful man is knowledge. You get to learn mastery from a master. When my guy leaves here he’s going to be a master entrepreneur long before he reaches the age of 30.

And he gets to do all of that without worrying about making rent, buying food or going into debt.

How to find an apprentice/intern

What if you’re already a big dog and you’d like to find an apprentice/protege to come and work for you?

If you’re making big boy money and need a sidekick how do you pick someone who will work for you for free in return for your specialized knowledge, skill-set and dedicated attention to them?

Easy answer.

You look for a young man with DRIVE. You look for a go-getter in training.

You don’t pick someone who is completely talentless and lost.

You pick a young man who already has the right mindset and can be grown from an Alaskan Husky into a full-grown Wolf.

Pick a guy with the right mindset and you’re work is already done.

Here is an example…

UnrogueIntern

The young man who wrote that has almost no material possessions and no money. That means exactly shit because he has one very important thing…

The right mindset.

I met this young gun two months ago.

We had a conversation and I told him “I’ve gotten everything I’ve ever wanted“.

And then I told him how I did it…

I left out the pretend modesty that I give to idiots and I said to him “I’m the best in the world and I get whatever I want because I put my mind to it and I don’t give up“.

He nodded his head, he kept his mouth shut and I knew right away he “got it”.

Two months later he got what he wanted because he made a commitment to excellence.

excellence

What did he want?

He wanted to come and work with the best and now he does.

In one year he’s going to be a changed man. His pockets are going to be filled with money, his belly is going to be filled with steak and his t-shirts are going to be filled with biceps.

All he had to do was make a choice.

“Change your mindset - change your life”

I’ll tell you a thousand times until it sinks in.

Mindset is key.

If you want to change your life you first have to change your mindset.

It’s not about who you know, it’s not about how good looking you are, it’s not about how much money you have in the bank - it’s mindset.

All those things will come to you (in time) if you have a killers mindset.

Developing the right mindset

Answer these questions:

  1. What do you want? (The answer is yours alone)
  2. How will you get it? (I’ve spelled out the answer - Mindset)
  3. Will you quit for any reason? (If the answer is anything other than ‘no’ you will not fulfill your destiny and you do not have the right mindset)

Some say it’s kill or be killed.

I say winners are too busy killin’ to think about the “or” part.

Until next time.

Your man,

-Victor Pride

PS - I know I said I never give away information unless you’re in the inner circle so keep this a secret…

There just might be a new opportunity in the new year for young guns who have spirit and drive.

There just may be an opportunity. There just may be the chance of a lifetime to come and…

  1. Highly inspiring article — and a big congratulations to Mr Unrogue.

You’re 100 % right about apprenticeship. I wrote a huge article on this. But now I don’t want to publish it. You put it better.

    PS:
In the picture of The Official BADWORLD War Room, what is that device you put up your laptop on? I currently alternate between standing up and sitting down. When I stand up I put my laptop on books.

  2. Anastasis says:

    I want Glory, I want Independence , I want to Evolve higher above anyone else in the Evolutionary Chain and the road to that is Achievement ! Generally I want more!!! Where do I sign;

  3. Truth is here.

  4. Another great article Vic. I won’t call you a father-figure (partially because we’re almost the same age), but you’re definitely someone I respect and take advice from.

To say you’re right about getting in the right mindset is an understatement. Your reason to want something needs to put a fire in your belly. Every time you think of what you want and why you want it, you need to be so fired up you want to punch something/workout/whatever.

One thing I really want is to get in excellent shape. I won’t give the specific reasons why but every time I think of them, it makes me want to flip my work desk, go outside, find the nearest tree limb, and start doing pullups. I get THAT fired up.

Next, I want to add that same fire to my business. When I first started my website I had that fire, but it’s been waning a bit as of late. I know it’s because I’ve lost focus on WHY I started it along with the distractions of life, work, and family. I am working on getting that fire back permanently. When I do that, I’ll be unstoppable.

Also, that is a gorgeous office setup Vic. I am remodeling my man-cave now and I might have to add in a study/office along with my gym. Very classy, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from you.

  5. Great read Vic! I’m all ready to commit but my biggest problem is that I always get bored of everything I start. I just can’t decide on something to commit to. How do you discover something that will keep you excited forever?

I have made a decent income from affiliate marketing but all my blogs are on different topics. And to be honest, I really don’t feel I can work full time on any one of them because the topics are really boring.

Now I would love to be a motivational speaker or something like that, but then the thing stopping me from doing this the fact I will be going into this without having achieved anything significant myself. So why would people want to listen to me?

So how does one discover their natural passion?

    • Get some paper. Get something to write with. Go to a place where you can be alone and absolutely nothing is distracting you. Answer these questions:
Where do I want to be in 10 years?
Where do I want to be in 1 year?
Where do I want to be in 1 month?
Where do I want to be tomorrow?
Just write down every single thought that comes to mind. Even if it seems ridiculous. New piece of paper for every question. Take your time. At least 20 minutes for each question.
You can also just do the same with the question: What is my passion?
It doesn’t matter if you just think “well maybe it’s my passion”, it’s in your head so write it down.
After you have written down everything you will eventually see a pattern or something that makes your path more clear.

    • Victor Pride says:

“So how does one discover their natural passion?”

“Now I would love to be a motivational speaker”

Start by organizing and giving speeches for free. Soon you’ll know if you possess the a) talent or the b) relentlessness to make it work.

    • Captainhero64 says:

First, lose those five words “But my biggest problem is.” Once you add yhose negatives, you’ve already lost the battle.
As far as fitness, what works for me is to start as simple a program as possible. Even if you are just using pushups, pullups and air squats.
They don’t take up too much time and you can eventually get up the motivation for weight training.

  6. Due to circumstances including a layoff after 10+yr at a highly regarded company, and currently having a job I don’t like (and doing it for peanuts), I have come to think a lot about wage slavery. I believe that the rules of the game are concealed to most of us. In the XXI century companies don’t care about productivity. In the XXI century companies use so called “education” (which is an idiot term. Education is different than “holding a degree”) just to skim resumes. The worse of all, in my opinion, is that they designed a system so that – unless extreme circumstances – it’s never the employee’s fault, nor the manager’s, nor the company’s. When I got laid off, my chief (the dude that had no clue of what I was doing), told me that it was not “performance related”. At first, I took it as a compliment. But thinking about it, what he meant is “well, you couldn’t do anything about it, you know it’s an ethereal system, a system you can’t understand, and never will”. If you see Nadella’s email to the Microsoft’s employees that will be laid off in the next few months, he’s saying the same thing. There is a system, specifically designed to screw employees. In all truth, it’s okay. I believe that the problem is not that the system is “mean”, and inhumane, but that most of the people like me do not try to learn the rules of the game. The rules of the game are simple: no one gives a sh1t of what you do. In addition, we idiots are screwing ourselves. How? University of Phoenix and similar “institutions”. In the next twenty years everyone will have an advanced degree. This will bring salaries down to a slump, as degrees will have little or no meaning, and the “advanced workforce” will be massive. We are bringing down our own competivity (especially in nursing).
On top of that, pensions are gone and 401k will be soon marked as a big loss (please, please, please, read “The coming generational storm: what you need to know about America’s economic future” by Laurcence Kotlikoff).
I now want to be independent, and move from Texas to some other state (was thinking Virginia or Wyoming) or some other country (I already moved from Europe to the US, moving does not scare me) and do something meaningful (= make a ton of money). Of course, as many people reading this website, I have no idea how. Right now I am almost without cash, having office nightmares every night since last September, and with a family to take care of. No, I am not crying, I am just bedazzled.
I have Faith (as defined by Napoleon Hill) on the future. I just have to figure out how to do it, and then act accordingly.
At least, now I understand the rules.
Sorry for the long post. Good job Victor.

    -ea

    • Good post, EA. Everyone needs to read the 48 Laws of Power even if you don’t plan to use some of them. Admittedly, the thought of using some of them make me cringe, but it teaches you the rules the powerful play by and what to look out for.

I agree that in the next few years a degree will mean shit. It nearly does now. I have an MBA and it took me over a year to find a decent job. Experience trumps education; always will. Doesn’t matter how many degrees you hold if some high school dropout can make more money for the company than you can. Entrepreneurs are the future where people with the drive will make money for themselves while the 9-5’ers are left scratching their heads.

Will I always be stuck in the 9-5 jive? Who knows…but regardless I am building a life that will allow me to leave a shitty job anytime I want (the “fuck you” mentality).

      • Thank you for your reply and for suggesting the book. A small advantage of working at a library is that… “48 Laws of Power” is in my hands already!

  7. Victor, one small request. Can you post a picture of the books you have (or give us the titles)? I am curious to know what you keep close to your desk, and on the photo in this post only a couple of books are recognizable.

    • Victor Pride says:

I will do this approximately 12 hours from now, 10:39pm Bangkok time.

      • Victor Pride says:

Keep in mind I sold my gigantic library years ago when I moved abroad. These aren’t my favorite books, just what I happen to have. Most of my books are on my iPhone/iPad, getting books shipped to Thailand was almost an impossibility until I found a site that ships worldwide for free.

How to Get Rich - Felix Dennis (love it)
How to stop worrying and start living - Dale Carnegie (love it)
No BS guide to marketing to the affluent - Dan Kennedy (haven’t read it)
The ultimate sales machine - Chet Holmes (don’t care for it)
Like a virgin - Richard Branson (hate it)
        Influence - Robert Cialdini (blah)
An Iron Will - Orison Swett Marden (love it)
Where I live and what I lived for - Henry David Thoreau (blah)
The wolf of wall street - Jordan Belfort (read about 20 pages, hated it)
The official get rich guide to information marketing - Robert Skrob (haven’t read it)
The ultimate sales letter - Dan Kennedy (love it)
Ca$hvertising - Drew Eric Whitman (love it)
Motley Crue: The Dirt - Neil Strauss (love it, most exciting book I’ve ever read)
How to develop self condfidence and influence people by public speaking - Dale Carnegie (just found this at a bookstore, haven’t read it, but want to make the podcast so much better)
Why we want you to be rich - Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki (haven’t read it, just grabbed it at a bookstore)

        • Alexander says:

You already know about TMF by MJ DeMarco, so I’ll recommend another one that I loved: The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur.

It has great advice and it’s also very idealistic, don’t know if you enjoy them like that, but there it is.

          • Victor Pride says:

“it’s also very idealistic, don’t know if you enjoy them like that”

Nah, not my cup of tea.

        • Balanceguy says:

Hi Vic, have you read ‘The Success Principles’ by Jack Canfield? I have and I found it to be a very good book.

        • thank you for listing the titles. Good thing about my shitty job is that I can grab almost every title you listed, as we have them here (of course, no one ever checks ‘em out). I placed them in my hold queue already.
If you are interested in the Power of Thought (as Napoleon Hill) I would suggest reading “Man’s search for meaning” by Viktor Frankl. It’s not a self-help, “how to be better” book of any sort. It is a study of the human mind made by Frankl while he was in a nazi concentration camp. It is a powerful book (although technical at times).

        • Name of the site that ships worldwide for free?

        • Vic,

Read why we want you to be rich. It will strike a chord with you. Trump is a true ass kicker and believes the entire world (and particularly America) is turning to shit because of this “entitlement attitude” and that everyone should just get their index finger out of their assholes and do some work and everything would get better. Very good read.

          • Victor Pride says:

I absolutely loved his book the Art of the Deal. Read it right before I made it happen in real estate.

        • Loved your honesty on books, currently reading James Altucher’s “Choose Yourself” highly recommend. Read it already and reading it one more time!

Ok. I’m 47 and have Intense DRIVE and have worked for the man/Govt my whole Life! I have a million ideas…. My head wants to explode. I want to bust out into my own Sucess… Where in the world do I start? I wan Financial Freedom and do it from my laptop on a beach!!! I am so damn ready Vic!! I am listening Loud and Clear. SCM

          • Hope you’re putting those ideas down on paper.

What’s the top idea you have? There’s a process you can follow to make it happen.

Weed out the bad ideas cause some of them will be, and find out just how good the good ideas are.

            What’s the wait?

      • I seen you read Dan Kennedy. I have studied all his stuff and completely turn my Business around. 3 times my money right off the bat within 6 months. Been reading your Blog and love your viewpoints and bought your 30 day to Discipline. Keep up the great work as I know you will!

    • I was wondering this as well. Tried to zoom in but the resolution is too low.

    • I spy “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.” That’s on my list. I’m reading “How to Win Friends and Influence People” right now, but I think the latter will be a better read.

      • One good book I read quite a few years ago was “How to Talk to Anyone.” Just found it again recently so I need to skim through it again to see if it has stood the test of time.

    • The other book is “How to get rich” by Felix Dennis (it’s my last book readed and is almost as good as “The Millionaire Fastlane”)

  8. Victor Pride - Sith Lord.

  9. Big V, you are the living, breathing definition of the phrase “quality over quantity.” I’ll take one of your articles over 1000 shitty ones, because I know anytime you post something it’s always gonna deliver, and the post above is no exception.

Your cryptic message at the end is intriguing. You stated in your Pridecast your next e-book/project would be teaching people how to make money with an online store. Perhaps that’s what you’re referring to?

  10. Alexander says:

Victor, thanks for making so much transparent. Many of us were waiting for a mentor like you.

Two article requests: your opinion on women seems to have changed somewhat, so please publish that article about what a good woman can do for a strong man. Also, please consider a detailed article on domain buying and selling. Thanks and be sure to have an excellent week.

    • Victor Pride says:

Alexander, my view on women has never changed. I like women, I don’t like feminists, and I do have just such a post in the pipeline. I will also consider a post on domaining for fun and profit.

  12. Excellent Article.

  13. Victor, i just found a website that had exactly copy 2 of your article about modafinil. I mean stolen. No kidding Vic, its the exact content, none of it was edited or rephrase.
    you can check it here.
    XXXXX
    XXXXXXXX

i believe their other blog post has been stolen as well.

I dont know how justice is delivered when stuffs like this happen in the internet, but anyways, just letting you know. I know that value of your work, and this is just shit.

just incase, i did some screen shots and archived the page, it might be useful.

    • Victor Pride says:

Pierre, thank you for the links. This type of thievery happens all the time and it will be dealt with immediately.

      • Hi Victor,

What is the best way to deal with those online thievery? I would be interested to hear about that subject!

I might be wrong but duplicity of content is something that could hurt Google rank? isn’t it? So, consequently could result in damaging the business …

        • Victor Pride says:

Sometimes we ask politely first, one time, to remove the content. If they don’t we send in a DMCA right away. Either to google or to the webhost of the thief. Their site is usually taken down.

  14. But Vic, you aren’t really using stuff like Twitter - I know it since I am following you there. Isn’t it a waste of time to create an account on a socila media platform when you don’t intend on using it?

    • Victor Pride says:

Yeah, twitter means nothing to my business. I could delete it tomorrow with no negative impact. But it should be quite clear I do use it, I always tweet my new posts.

      • Thats what I thought. In Germany it is a lot more difficult to built a decent following audience; I think its not worth the effort, but I still try to bring my stuff out there, too. On there it is all about activity - if you don’t post shit every few hours there is no way to make an impact.

  15. You’re an inspiration.
I’ve just left my generic office job - walking out half a week before my notice period ended, because my immediate superior decided it was a good time to show his true colours a bit too openly - so I’ve now got up to 6 months to concentrate on honing and pitching my craft (before my savings run out).
Added motivation comes from the less-than-ideal reference I can now expect from my immediate superior at my previous workplace: I wouldn’t recommend my course of action to the faint of heart.

    • It was my understanding that supervisors could only be called to confirm the time worked at that business, not as an actual reference (performance, etc). Am I wrong on this?

      • Strictly speaking, I think you’re correct - but if someone was to call the business and started asking around about wanting to talk to my previous supervisor, they might be put through to him, and at that point I don’t trust him to behave in a professional manner: If I provide a reference for my previous workplace, it’s the name of my supervisor’s boss that I’ll be giving.
So things aren’t actually as “edge of the cliff” as I originally portrayed, but I still think that a guy who truly cares about what he’s doing - and isn’t hindered in producing a quality result - can outperform someone in an office with an established business’s Economies of Scale on their side.

      • Sorry Jacob, you are incorrect. They can call for a reference, and your supervisor can give a reference. They can go into as much detail as they want.

However, most supervisors will only confirm the dates of employment to avoid libel lawsuits.

  16. What do people that work for you do?

  17. I have to admit, your “War room” looks fucking awesome!

  18. How can one prove he has that spirit and drive to succeed in working underneath you?

    • Thr best way to make a friend is to solve a problem. Figure out something useful you can do for Victor Pride, do it, then discuss how the two if you will collaborate going forward. If you don’t see anything you can do for Victor offhand, go get a copy of Jeffrey Gitomer’s “The Little Res Book of Sales” (or his updated version of “The Sales Bible”), memorize it, and apply it.

  19. Hell yeah….Mindset. Without it, dreams of success are just that…

  20. This would be an opportunity of a lifetime. You have turned me into a man and taught me so much just through your writing, I would drop everything to have a chance to work for you and learn from you.

I discovered Bold and Determined 10 months ago and my life has changed so much for the better since then. I started working out 6 days a week the day after I found B & D and I’ve never looked back. I can’t wait to write you when the 1 year mark comes since I found B & D to show you how much I’ve changed and how much I have accomplished.

  21. As usual. Bad ass article Vic.

  22. This is perfect. I was just about to hire an apprentice. Ive been finding out that young guys only care about making x amount an hour instead of the knowledge they’ll gain. It’s quickly becoming apparent that I will have a hard time finding someone that is hungry to learn the trade of auto repair and want to grow with my company as my right hand man. Victor, did you post an add up and search out an apprentice or did someone just email you out of the blue?

    • Good points and I’m also interested in Vic’s response to your question about how he came about hiring his intern.

I would say I was guilty in the past about just finding a job that earns X amount of dollars. I’m glad to say I’ve grown some and work more towards self-improvement with the assurance that, in time, the money will follow.

Can’t say I’m hungry to learn the auto repair business though. I know how to change tires/brakes, replace the fluids, and sand/primer/paint a car and that’s good enough for me! Haha!

      • Sometimes it takes time to find the right pursute. Like victor said, it’s all about mind set. Even if you don’t know what you want to pursue. These guys I’ve been interviewing are just not in the right mind set. Vic, would love to read your input on this question.

    • Victor Pride says:

“Victor, did you post an add up and search out an apprentice or did someone just email you out of the blue?”

Chance meeting out of the blue that quickly turned into an opportunity.

  23. I love the line- jobs are a no way to live and would not want her doing something I hate so much. Talk about refreshing! I always hated when I would read some rich guy saying: Oh no, my kids are going to have to work and earn their way.. Give me a break.. Like you say: People( most) WANT to be productive and work. IT is the job that’s the issue! Being a stupid customer sales rep hanging with people you mostly don’t want to be around is a nightmare. Working for company snooze fest and showing up to your slave master as he cracks the whip at you is certainly no way to live. In fact it’s downright torture..

I now crack up when I hear so many people begging for retirement age. I now laugh at people restricting themselves to human bondage for a paycheck and doing NOTHING to change it. IT is totally abnormal to be shoved into a train wearing an outfit most days you don’t want to wear and being stuck with tons of other people doing the same thing and then doing 8-10 hours at a “job” which is the last thing most want to be at… The funniest is when people defend it. Then I say: Hey, if you had 5-10 million would you be at the job? Never got one YES yet. But boy them lottery tickets sure litter the floors of the streets!

  24. Sweat. Energy. Blood.

Those are the elements of a champion.

But where does Love fit in?

Jesus was a man. And a badass. His message was practical: Love, forgive, and help a brother out.

When religion burns down, the inner fire of a man to live “right” will be the spiritual fuel that propels the world.

    Rue the day, comrades.

  25. TheGreyWolf says:

Depending on which site you look at from “US education rankings”, we are somewhere between 20th and 50th in the world.

    Why?

Because our education system no longer believes in excellence, determination, and results. It’s all about equality of outcome, feelings, and everyone gets a trophy.

Last week I asked my kid to do a simple chore outside. I told him what I expected, how to do it, and demonstrated by doing 5% of the job so there was no confusion.

An hour later he found me and proudly announced he was done. I looked at his ‘work’ and told him to do it again. He stammered and announced he ‘did his best.’

That public school liberal bullshit struck a nerve coming out of his mouth. I looked at him and as evenly as I could, I simply told him,

“Fuck your best. Your best isn’t good enough. I don’t want your best. I want results. Never utter those words to me or anyone else ever again. Now do the job as I told you to.”

I almost apologized to him later, but when he was done, and did the job well, he apologized to me.

    Excellence. Determination. Results.

No longer taught in the US public school system.

    • “Fuck your best, I want results.” Love it!

    • Captainhero 64 says:

That should be over the door of every physical culture facility that conducts serious training.

      • Victor Pride says:

Public school, what a waste of precious developing brainpower.

        • no shit. In 3rd grade one of my kids was sent to the principal’s office because after finishing his work he started reading a book (which was deemed a distracting activity for the other kids). I know it’s unbelieavable, but I am dead serious.
I rewarded my kid, and laughed off the teacher.

        • Tiffany Spriggs says:

This is Why I refuse to use my scholarship. People think I’m stupid for “wasting” it, but I know college is a scam and a waste of my time and money. I keep a business journal where I write down all my ideas and ways I could make them possible. My goal is to invest in something that will eventually allow me to be financially free and in charge of my own time/life. Idk how I came across your articles, but I’m so thankful I did. I say fuck everything people say, society, and lazy ignorant dumbasses. Let them be zombies while driven people get out there and collect the winnings. I’m 21 and a female living in shitty Las Vegas but I’ll take advantage of every opportunity I get while making opportunity for myself. I’ll do it all alone with a smile on my face. Thank u Victor, for sharing the truth and opening our eyes to the bullshit lazy ppl feed us.

          • Shitty Las Vegas? Do you know how much money comes through this city (I just moved here and am CRUSHING it) on a daily basis?

If you can’t think of a way to get your hands on some of it then you’re not the entrepreneur badass your claim to be.

        • Captainhero64 says:

I agree, I went to school in the Philadelphia public school system during the 70s and graduated in 81. My best lessons in life though was learning off other peoples’ mistakes.
I see the fallout today of the quality of education going downhill today as some of these youngsters cannot even count your change correctly when you go to a store to make purchases.

  26. Hey Victor,

Avid enthusiast, really enjoy being a subscriber. As a 28 year old father of 2 bad ass boys ,and soon to be a little girl, my Big goal has been freedom from debt and an alternative income that will give us time freedom. I’ve spent my last 10 years in the Construction industry putting in stupid hours to have nice things and pay big payments and donate lots of interest instead of earning lots of interest.

The power of the mind is second to none and I have come to learn that any thought, given enough feel good emotion, will become a thing in your life. I received a random job opportunity (something I never applied for) offering me $250k/yr to move to Texas as an I&E Quality Assurance Inspector. It required me to quit the “safe” and “secure” union job I had held for 10 years. Required me to leave all my life long friends behind. Move a family (and pregnant wife) clear across the country without a clue of where we were going to live. Along with starting a new job I knew very little about.

Summary: we put our house on the market back in Indiana, sold it by owner in 5 days (kept the 6% realtor fees in MY pocket), packed everything we could fit in a 20′ enclosed trailer and drove 1,400 miles (selling or giving everything else away).

We ended up buying a new 40′ rv after staying nearly a month in a hotel (because of the housing shortage down here). I’m sure most people call us crazy for going from 4,000 sq. ft. To 400 sq. ft. BUT We now have more money in the bank than ever, more money than month, less stress, more feel good, new friends, new adventures, more traveling, etc. We said yes to life in an unconventional way and it has been an exciting ride it!

With very few bills left I had enough money to pay for several coaching sessions with the Dave Ramsey team and a 1 year personal mentoring program with Bob Proctor (already have talked 1 on 1 with him twice) and his team of multiple income strategists. I know one year from now I’ll be working for myself, branding my business, spending time and travelling with my family like every father should be able to do!

I wanted to post this just to remind everyone that getting uncomfortable can be the most comfortable thing you have ever done. Walking away from a secure job and a boss you HATE can be the best feeling in the world. Moving new places and meeting new people is good for the soul. Making large, scary blind leaps towards your goals is the most nurturing thing you can do for yourself. Turn off your TVs, get off your couch, network, go see what the world has to offer and put a request out for the universe - it always answers back!

  27. This is amazing dude when I found out about your website I was a boy, and I have been going through some stuff. Now I’m determined and bold. Frankly, I have alien like powers thanks to your 30 dod I guess there is a thing called “Butterfly Effect”. Yet I’m still on a progress of building for myself. First, I started by selling my xbox hardisk, controller, games(xbox was broking so). Then, I have opened a bank account, and put some of that money into stock market, and it paid off now you don’t make much in down market, but money is a money no matter how small(haha). Right now I’m studying to get some STEM field college education. I’m not going to talk much about plans just letting you know you changed my life already.

    Thanks man,
btw this here is where amazing really happens peez..

  28. BTW, after you reminded me a few weeks ago of Nabokov after I asked about writing as ESL, I went ahead and submitted my first short story. I know, 99.999% it will be rejected. However, in the process I made two important decisions:
    1- To submit the story.
2- I will celebrate the day that I will receive the REJECTION slip. Why? Because that slip means that I went where I had never went before. It will mean that I left my fears behind and I took action. I let other people see my work, and I don’t care. (of course, I hope in the remote possibility that they accept the story and pay; my beta reader, a dude I don’t know and read it for free, appreciated it a lot, saying that I have the balls of writing like Stephen King.).

  29. Hey, Vic
Any plans on releasing your own diet book?

  30. All of this is the type of advice that I have been seeking my whole life. I stumbled upon BAD under a year ago and my life has changed drastically since. Never been so happy to be alive.

    Thank you, Victor.

  31. J.Micheals says:

Another astonishing article by Victor Pride.

  32. God damn it Victor!!! I howl at the moon and stare holes into people’s iris after reading your articles. Thanks for doing what you do.

  33. This post came at a great time. I’ve been in a ton of pain for the past month. First I got the stomach bug, then strep throat, and now I have huge ulcers all over my mouth, tongue, and throat. It feels like I’m eating tiny pieces of glass every time I swallow, and I’m exhausted. It’s hard to swallow water, and eating is out of the question.

Admittedly, my work output has slowed, but I said “fuck it, I’m not going to let this shit beat me.” I’ve been working every day. I literally was working at 3 A.M. yesterday (couldn’t sleep) when I was so dehydrated I could barely walk without help (don’t worry…I eventually decided I had to go the hospital). :)

I went to go to the hospital at 4 A.M. to get an IV put in today. Honestly, when I got back, I was finally worn down from the constant pain. I was feeling “sorry for myself” even though I knew it was complete bullshit. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, but there are so many people that go through worse with a smile on their face.

This post has given me new motivation to go get some shit done. Getting nothing done sounds like quitting to me, and quitting makes me sick.

Physically, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever been put through. I’m in nearly constant pain. In my life, I’ve gone through 2 ACL surgeries, had this weird disease where I felt light-headed and like I was going to pass out whenever I stood up, and have had to go through opiate withdrawal (I had to take pain killers regularly for a condition I had), but these ulcers are the worst thing I’ve ever gone through.

Being in pain really helps you appreciate life. I was motivated before, but now I have a new fire under my ass. People look at me and think I have a ton of drive, but they haven’t seen anything yet. When I get over this bullshit, I’m not going to waste a minute of life. I’m going to start KILLING it. I’m going to commit to excellence in everything that I do.

And of course, once I feel better I’m going to get back on 365 days of discipline.

“There just might be a new opportunity in the new year for young guns who have spirit and drive.”

Jake, I LOVE your fuckin’ attitude!

      • Victor Pride says:

        Ditto.

        • Thanks for the support men. The article Mr. Pride recommended was very helpful. I read it whenever I get a bit overwhelmed by the pain, and it fires me up.

          “What condition do you have?”

I’m not sure, but I’m going to my doctor soon to get tested for a variety of things.

Don’t worry. I care about my health. The healthier I am, the more ass I can kick.

  34. Congrats to the new apprentice! I’m sure it’s going to be a profitable partnership in every sense of the word. Looks like the new guy’s going to finally become a “made man”…haha. See you somewhere in Asia, sometime.

  35. Victor, you and others (through REPETITION) have embedded these impressions in my mind.

    Develop the winning MINDSET.
    Develop the winning HABITS.
    Develop the winning PLAN.

Plan Your Work - and - Work Your Plan (From “Think and Grow Rich”)

    That requires self-DISCIPLINE …

… And that’s the basic context for inevitably WINNING.

This blog post did it for me.

It’s time for us readers (and listeners) to *truly* commit to getting what we want.

Then us going about … getting what we want.

    PS: Thank you Victor.

  36. Vic have you or will you do an article on what your typical day is like? I love this post by the way it’s my favorite so far. And just purchased the 30 Days of Discipline can’t wait to get started! Thanks

  37. I’m going to trust you Vic. I’m going to buy both 30 days of discipline and body of a spartan.

    • TheGreyWolf says:

      I bought 30DoD.

Trust this, like most things in life, you will get OUT of it what you put INTO it.

If you buy it and do nothing, nothing will happen.

If you TRULY commit to it for 30 days, you will be transformed.

If you COMMIT to it past 30 days, it will change your life.

      • Heck even one of the points, about cold showers was worth the price of the book. Have been doing cold and contrast showers and you transform from a no-getter to a go-getter

        • TheGreyWolf says:

I am on blood thinner for multiple, massive, bilateral pulmonary embolisms.

I am therefore hypersensitive to cold.

At first the 30DoD showers sucked my breath away and made my heart jump.

Now they just piss me off and help me get ready for the day.

  38. To be truly great at something you must have an “obsession”. “Normal” people might view an obsession as a negative thing, but in reality, always thinking about your goals is what it takes to be successful. If you find something you are passionate about, you will naturally spend your day thinking about your subject of interest because it’s something you enjoy.

In terms of being a father figure/taking interns, not everyone has the benefit of a mentor, but finding the right person to help guide you on your life goals is an invaluable asset.

As a final note, mindset is and always will be king. Get your mind right and you can achieve anything.

  39. Hey Vic,

I hope not to sound too “new age” but your articles not only convey an idea but they also transmit some kind of weird positive energy, à la Napoleon Hill -“Having read the chapter, you must have observed that while reading it, you were lifted to a high level of mental stimulation. Splendid!”

Thanks for going for quality over quantity.

    Just two things:

    1) There’s no free lunch. What do you expect from an apprentice? Why do you do it? I mean, you could pay a little over average salary to an assistant and you most likely would get “The daily, weekly and monthly tasks that are given to them” done right, right?

    2) Please, please, please, don’t contaminate the almost perfect BAD blog with references to this kind of shit:

“Want to flirt with totally-underage yet bangin’ teenagers? Go ahead. Want to murder someone? Be my guest. Want to rob a bank? Please do.”

    • Victor Pride says:

      I have both.

What are you talking about? That never appeared on B&D.

  40. alphawolf says:

    Hi vic!
    Two questions:
-Do you buy your girlfriend presents like earrings, necklaces… or you just pay bills, food… and those kind of things?
-I was wondering about what your friends and your family think of what you have achieved.

P.S is it me, or your working room is the same room from the video with different furniture? haha

    • Victor Pride says:

Bills, food and clothing. Everything she owns was purchased by me, mostly cheap items, though this year for her birthday I bought her some gold earrings.

My family, each time I see them they mostly say “wow. I wish I could live like you. It’s amazing what you’ve done”.

Same room, we filmed the video before the desk was delivered.

  41. I wanted to add, that I [and every other guy who read the post I’m sure … unless something is wrong] am really looking forward to hearing more about the opportunity that you mentioned Victor. Plus the Spartan Entrepreneur website’s future courses.

“The equation is publish the best articles + give it time = more money.

Publishing articles constantly would be a waste of my time and I value my time more than anything.”

    Quality > Quantity. Understood.

  42. Off topic, but did you receive a lot of pressure from your family when making the choices you have made?

In a limbo situation right now, and desperately looking for an out. Not everybody can take growth.

    • Victor Pride says:

Pressure from my family, is that a joke? You think I TOLD them what my plans were? They found out like everyone else - afterwards.

      • No it wasn’t a joke, grew up with 3 older sisters whereas one died, and another went insane. Father has always been distant, with alot of guilt and shame in family. You can imagine the roles that have been pushed onto me. Site has been an inspiration, thanks for fast reply.

        • Victor Pride says:

I see. I had no pressure from family, I left a long, long time ago and I don’t ask permission of anybody.

  43. Everything in this article rings true. Fantastic to to see BaD morph into this ever changing beast, almost like a natural profession, like it was went to be.

Hard work makes it look this way. Remind me of your genetic freak article…

  44. Awesome article. Nothing fuels my motivation more that seeing somebody else’s success.

I totally agree with you that it’s all in the mindset. That’s what I try to teach people - if you have the right mindset, everything else will follow. If your MIND is SET, nothing can stop you.

  45. “My girlfriends have always called me daddy but to be 28 years old (when I started B&D, not now) and have guys emailing me telling me I was like the father they never had was a little new to me.”

You are not becoming a sugar daddy Vic, are you?

It’s tempting to think” the more I produce, the better”, but I’ve noticed impact tames itself and words resonate less. I also feel this “commitment to excellence” is definitely something that transpires through the website, your philosophy, and in extenso, what is making you successful.
    Great article, as usual.

    • Victor Pride says:

“You are not becoming a sugar daddy Vic, are you?”

No, I’d take her on dates, buy her dinners and flowers until she loved me.

If I wanted a new girl (that would equal 2 girls) I’d tell here ‘come live here, do everything I say and I’ll take care of you’ but I’d say it in such a subtle way that I wouldn’t actually SAY it, I’d get her to say it and make her think it was her idea. I wouldn’t waste my time dating like an idiot. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

      • I agree.
        Cheers

      • Wtf
why would you buy a girl dinner and flowers - waste of money. I am not reading Pua bullshit anymore ( when I read something then its usually GLL). But paying a girls dinner and buying her flowers wtf - if you are super rich and dont care about money at all then okay- but otherwise its useless - girls dont give anything back if you buy them flowers - less time and money invested into a relationship with a girl - the more you often get back

      • TheGreyWolf says:

…”I’d say it in such a way that I wouldn’t actually SAY it, I’d get her to say it and make her think it was her idea.”

The pinnacle of leadership is to get other people to come up with your ideas and implement them with an effort to impress you.

        Thanks for the gentle reminder.

  46. I quit my low six figure paying job over six years ago. It was an easy decision after being treated like a slave. What a huge waste of time and effort it was looking back. For all the abuse I took all I had to show for it was buy a few material things that I no longer even own.

My new idea at the time gave me the freedom of working from home and put me in total control of my financial life, FINALLY. My girlfriend nack then and whose my wife today (no kids) dropped everything and followed me in pursuit of my dream.

Funny thing happened along the way though, her career took off and flourished. She’s managed to triple (30k to now 100k) her yearly earnings these last six years BUT it’s come with a price also as she has zero freedom and lives in fear daily that it could all end any second.

You’d think I’d be happy my wife now making “big money”? HELL NO!!!! Sure it’s obviously better than some scenarios but I desperately want to be the leader and now I don’t feel that way. Things aren’t too bad right now but there much different than before. I no longer walk around with my head held as high. In our home back in the “old days” there was no doubt the pressure was all on me to step up every week.

Don’t give me that “hold on a minute, you guys are a team, etc….” stuff either. I’ve never wanted a teammate at this and I still don’t one either. I want to be the coach, the leader, the general and for her to be one of “my players or soldiers” in the game of life.

I will also never tell my wife that I feel this way about these things right now. The last thing I want to do is look weak to her but I do think in a way she already knows I’m not happy about this. When the day does come that I feel I have truly “made it” financially (by my definition), she will quit her high paying job and I will take back over as the undisputed leader of our home, a role I know that both of us want me to have.

Those that go the entrepreneur route do it for the freedom, the control and also mainly to make more money. I agree that all three are huge reasons but most think that making lots of money is great because you can buy the best TV or car or whatever but instead the #1 reason is that it brings you POWER and with power comes respect. I had it too a small extent once before and when I get it again it soon one day it will be under my rules and at levels much higher than before.

Tell someone “I own my own business that I run from home, and the wife and I are going to Aruba next week for the next three months, etc…” That statement alone says it all. It says that you’re in charge of things, that you’re the leader of your home, that you’ve figured out how to win at the game of life. The fact that your wife doesn’t work, that your business is so successful that you guys live where you want, when you want and for however long that you want tells everyone that you have it all. It’s something that I’m sure nearly every single person wants but something that only a very few have, freedom, control and power.

Reading about someone that is actually living a life like the one that I want so badly really helps keep me motivated to keep on fighting hard. Thank you again for being so inspiring!!!

    • TheGreyWolf says:

“Don’t give me that, “hold on a minute, you guys are a team, etc…” stuff either.

The natural order of your marriage has been upset. You feel it and you know it.

      You have the right attitude.

      Keep drillin’ and killin’.

  47. Amazing post. I like your attitude.
Right now I am trying to line my life up. Wage slave (40h/wk, peanuts pay, no career prospect, dreadful gvmt job), only $15k in my bank, and a family to feed.
I am trying to find a way to make $1M out of those $15k; I realize that it could be my last chance, the $15k are taken from my 401k and if something doesn’t change fast… we will have to find a roof or something. We are trying to get minimalistic, but that’s a good strategy just to save $$$, not to have a better cash flow.
I truly hope that some good idea will pop up in my head, so that I can work on it, or it could be over. I am working toward a goal ($1M yearly revenue). That’s the DESIRE, and there is still some fire in me. I am ready to move anywhere if necessary.
I know there is a key, a solution, and I know it’s right there in front of me. I gotta see it, and grab it somehow.

  48. Uncle Vic,

My real father asked me today who my role model was.

He’s seen enormous change in me for the past three years but only recently did he notice a huge change in my motivation, mindset and overall confidence in myself.

    I told him, “Victor Pride”.

    He asked, “Who’s that?”

    I replied, “A human wolf.”

He looked at me, grinning, and said, “Kind of like you.”

    Your man,
    MR. VEINS
    Mike Chagares

P.S. - Are you going to a write a post on “JUST ENDURE” anytime soon?

I could find the email from three years ago and you could compare that to my life now (can send in a video of myself, my life now, etc..)

You already know how much it helped to change my mindset.

It might change the lives of thousands of other young men.

    • Victor Pride says:

      “I replied, “A human wolf.”

      hahaha!

“P.S. – Are you going to a write a post on “JUST ENDURE” anytime soon?”

I suppose it’s possible, though I have touched on it a few times in articles and one of the podcasts. We’ll see what the future holds. I’d probably make it a section of an article but not write a whole article dedicated to it.. But you never know.

Send me an email with the video, even if I don’t publish it I’d like to see.

  49. Nothing beats reading a killer post by Mr Pride after a killer workout in the gym. On the subject on lions, do you ever plan on taking a safari here in South Africa? We’ve got a very favorable exchange rate right now for tourists who come with dollars.

  50. Victor can you write the list of books that you have on your shelf in the war room?

  51. Mind blowing once again. Seek out your passions and live life on your own terms. I won’t stop until this is a reality. Phenomenal article.

  52. sex symbol says:

Victor can you write a post on making money by buying, selling and making money from domains?

  53. Victor, i always hear from successful people that you get what you want when you put all your efforts in one single dream. What if i desire both financial success and social/sexual success? How do you reconcile and have the energy to go through two great goals at the same time?

Should it not be obvious that the richer you are the more P will throw themselves at you? You think if you own a yacht you’ll have a hard time filling it up with little hard-bodies ready to party?

  54. Alexander says:

Daddy, to the point. Or an elder bro (postSoviets prefer this term for an authoritative person, bratan).
Too many of us, men, have received so little from our fathers.
At times, I think I loved my dad despite this and that, rather than for this and that. He himself was fatherless, cannot blame him for his failures.
As a father, I want to give my son everything he needs. But, as a son, I just have never had many of the things I feel right to share with my child.

    • It doesn’t matter that your father checked out. You know what it takes to be a man. Being able to take care of your family, having your affairs locked down, and most of all leading a disciplined life. Too many fathers want to be best friends with their kids, hangout, play video games, and take part in other mind numbing activities. Kids hear and see everything. You want your son to be a man? Then let him see his father living a disciplined life; no excuses and no whining!

  55. Dear Victor, drop me a line if you ever get back to Phnom Penh. Would be great to show you around. Or, could do dinner with the ladies if your missus comes along.
Thanks for the inspiration, business is still slow-going but at least the body is starting to look good after 6 months.

  56. Just read something on quora that resonate what BAD is about

  57. Hello Vic,

    Another nice article.
-It is interesting how you have a minimalist office. A desk, laptop, and a few books.
This is very important. I spent so much on my first office, business cards etc.. I learnt the hard way! I learnt that confidence is what gets you the respect of people. If you meet a great manager in a small office or a lavish one, either way he will probably get your respect.

-Striving for excellence does take time.
They say humans have over 40,000 thoughts a day, 90 % of which are negative.
So as I need to counter this, I simply say to myself: (Drill it until you kill it) (Drill it until you kill it).

  58. Following 30dod it’s a lifestyle. Keep drilling and killing.

  59. Michael Williams says:

    Keep killing it!

  60. Squad Life says:

    Awesome post.

  61. Hey Victor,
You are in a situation where you have enough money to pay for your girlfriend. Its interesting because I just read your article about how to get women and the main two words were: BE SELFISH. So you put yourself in a situation where you own everything and are selfish and your girl doesnt own much /or anything.
I will probably write to Chris from GLL about that and see what he thinks but being Selfish is actually the most important thing to remember even when you aim to look good and I see a connection between GLL and B&D there . If you are goodlooking and you enter a room you are also selfish because with your great looks you can/Will be the centre of any attention from women too.
Anyways one question: If you pay the bills and your girlfriend doesnt have a job. What does she do all day long? Does she spent most of her time sitting at home because if she doesnt have money herself and wants to do something with her friends she sometimes wont be able to do that with the lack of own money.

    • Victor Pride says:

She cooks and cleans and services me. She doesn’t sit around doing nothing and being lazy. She’s doing dishes as I write this.

“if she doesnt have money herself and wants to do something with her friends she sometimes wont be able to do that with the lack of own money.”

I made it clear she’s financially free thanks to me. Doesn’t have money to see friends or family? Yeah right.

  62. When I post questions or comments I’ve thought numerous times to ask not Victor Pride for advice but Father Pride.

B&D is the only blog in which I can read any article more than 3 times.

    Your work really stands out.

  63. Hello Victor.
I have no experience making money online. I am 15 years old. What is the best way for me to make money online? I am young, so obviously I can’t write a blog like Bold and Determined, and I don’t have any real experiences that people would want to read or pay for. Thank you for your input.

  64. Hello Victor, I am a devoted reader of your blog from Greece/Hellas and I agree 100% with everything you say and I practice almost everything you teach in everyday life! Recently I came to a decision to start a blog In Greek for Greek men(and I did) in order to spread the word on how to be masculine.I believe that Greece specifically and Europe in general are dying out due to scarcity of Real Males, Males who in the past put history in motion. In a European world that Cultural Marxism sends men to the guillotine and perpetuates the existence of the weak, so-called metro-sexual men I want to contribute some intellectual guidance to my fellow men. As you may know Greece is 5 years now on a a state of economic crisis and this may prove to be good after all cause it helps men see the world as it its and no as politically correct TV Shows want them to see and I believe this is a perfect window for me to blog about basic men principles cause Greek men nowadays are trying to touch the roots of this principles. I didn’t start the blog in english (but in greek) cause I want to make a name inside my ethnic community and I believe Europe and America(and the world in general) have plenty of blogs and secondly I have great talent writing and make speeches in Greek and not in English obviously! What would be the advice of you as a mentor(cause I consider you one) to an apprentice that is just starting out?

  65. Terry Key says:

Hi, what is the keyboard you are using, I couldn’t find such ergonomic keyboards for Mac, I definitely miss such keyboards from my old PC :( Hope you can give me the brand or something…

  66. Vic, Another great article from a great man.
I really want to take the opportunity and be an intern by your side but I can’t. For the next 3 years I’m in the army serving my country.
I think you’d be happy to know that the army is giving men values as yours- dressing well, working out, eating healthy, talking straight with no bullshit, and much more.
For any man who can’t get his life straight I would recommend the army- the place which turn you from a child to a man to a soldier, and eventually to a fighter- a man who doesn’t quit when it’s hard and achieves his goals in any means necessary, no excuses for him or anybody else.
And I believe Vic that you give that same knowledge and values to other fellow civilians, and by that you are doing a god-like job.

    Keep on the good job,

    -A Fighter.

  67. hey Victor,

How come you don’t use hostgator anymore?

    Did you switch to webhostinghub?

    • Victor Pride says:

I do use hostgator, I don’t affiliate for them anymore. They’re hosting is fine, their affiliate program is garbage and I don’t recommend anyone us their affiliate program until HG fixes it. Instead, I have found a new company who offers outstanding service in all areas - HUB.

      • Vic,

I’ve used Host Gator’s hosting program for a while and made decent money with it. What issues did you have with it? Where you having issues with conversations being tracked, or was the pay just better with HUB?

        Thanks for the input.

        -Jeff

        • Victor Pride says:

They don’t pay 100% commissions. If someone let their cc expire and didn’t pay their bill, I wouldn’t get paid that commission. Both conversions and payments are better with HUB.

  68. Victor where did u get the concept of eating 2 meals a day to get muscular and lean? No one ever talks about that diet.

  69. Hi Vic,

Does your family know what’s the name of the web that generates your income? Do they know about B&D or only about “some” website?

Also, what is your opinion on smart-phones? Are you still proponent of using simplest phone? What mobile phone do you use?

    • IMO, smart phones are nice little toys to have if you can afford them, but aren’t necessary. I have a smartphone and I can tell you I can replace it with a simple flip phone in a heartbeat. Sure it’s nice to be able to check emails and stuff whenever I want, but unless you’re in a business environment where you must answer emails immediately, then it’s just a fancy toy.

Honestly the most time I spend on my phone is playing games on the crapper. If you’re in debt, you’re better off getting a cheap flip phone with a lower monthly cost.

  70. Victor what are your thoughts on investing your money in the stock market? Saving accounts don’t pay much in interest….. any suggestions?

    • Let me reply you
Victor has multiple trends of passive income.
      Passive income>> saving
Passive income means you dont need to beg government for your retiring fund and freedom.

    • The stock market is a great place to put your money, as long as you do it correctly. For the average person stock picking and day trading will have you broke in no time. I think index funds are the way to go for the average Joe investor. They are low cost and will give a decent return. The trick is checking your emotions at the door. Wall Street makes money on your emotions and fees. Have a goal and a time frame, write it down and stick with it.

Maximize your revenue streams. If you work a 9-5 and like it great, then don’t leave it. Just keep busy, create something useful, and kill it everyday.

  71. Victor I somehow stumbled across one of your articles about 3 months ago and have been very impressed with everything you write. I have great admiration for your passion, determination, and vision. Is it RARE to see someone who speaks this candidly and really understands the secrets to success.

I am very interested in connecting with other like minded entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs and there seem to be a lot meeting up here. I started my journey towards financial freedom 12 years ago. After reading Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad, I started a small online business selling test prep courses to contractors. Today my business makes 2 million a year, I am debt free, and have a net worth over 1M. I’m not saying that to boast, but to offer myself as a resource for people that want to do the same or more. To give you an idea of my background, I grew up in Detroit about 10 minutes from 8 Mile, grew up with a lower middle class mindset, and am definitely not the smartest guy in the room. I have used sheer determination and persistence to achieve what I’ve done. So why do I say this? If I could do it so can anyone else! You can create the ultimate life you’ve always wanted. Would love to hear from other people that are currently doing this and what vehicle they are using to reach their dreams.

Keep up the good work Victor! Any chance of coming out for a tour of the Bold and Determined War Room?

    • Victor Pride says:

Great comment, Derek. In re: the war room, you mean Victor Pride Cribs? I’m thinking about it.

  72. Victor, you’re the BEST. The internet is useless without you. Your article helped me realise I just have to shoot for my dreams: (1) writing technical articles for money (2) tidying/cleaning up after myself (to a proper standard).

I desperately want to feel a congruent sense of pride that goes with both the main goals - AND I want to let that show by standing up straighter (I slouch when I’m being mediocre i.e. nearly all the time).

Problem: I keep adding little goals in other areas of life, and then finding I have insufficient energy to achieve excellence with all of them. E.g. I workout circuits/weights a few times per week. But sometimes start a little late (or miss one altogether) - i.e. insufficient aerobic sessions a few times this week. Today I too much time catching up with family and then got to an event an hour late and travelled at a more expensive peak time than planned originally. I failed at my plan for the day - a pattern that makes me hate myself, feel a load of shame, and find morale (and posture) drooping as usual. What’s the best way (i.e. your way) to combat this and/or break the thought-cycle?

    • TheGreyWolf says:

      K,

On this website, go to the homepage, scroll towards the bottom and find Victor Pride’s ebook, 30 Days of Discipline for sale for $10.

      Purchase the book.

      Download it.

      Print out the free workbook.

      Follow it to the letter.

After 30 days, your issues will be resolved.

      Period.

Oh, I should mention that if you stop doing the steps in 30DoD, your issues will start to come back incrementally as you stop doing the steps.

This isn’t an isolated 30 day program. This is a lifestyle program that will work as long as you work the program.

And like the rest of life, it is results that count.

And if you fail, may GOD help you if you ever utter the words, “But I did my best.”

As I told my 13 year old who said that to me for the last time, “Fuck your best. Your best isn’t good enough. I want results. Now do it again, and do it right.”

If you fail. Do it again. Every day.

      Until you get it right.

  73. “Everything in my life is for Bold and Determined and B&D hasn’t been out of my thoughts for a single instance in 3.5 years. Never.”

    Add weight to the bar.

  74. I gotta ask Victor, how did you form your inner circle?
    or
How can I construct an inner circle?

I believe this to be like that “mastermind group” Napoleon mentions in his book.

    • Victor Pride says:

Like minds find like minds. There will be a spot for like minds coming soon, I guarantee it.

  75. Hey Victor great post!!! I look up to you and I am glad I found your blog while I’m 20. Since following you I have hit the gym everyday(also done your 30 Days of Discipline), created a website as well as a blog through BADNET, and I am working day after day to build a better site/blog. You have given me the killer instinct so now if I want something I go and take it. I no longer seek outside approval. I get everything I want because I have the right Mindset. When I have my blog monetized I would like to come and see you and discuss business.
    Your Friend,
    Dylan Madden

  76. Oh my fucking god Victor, your Awesome! I want to be your next apprentice, wether that’s online or in real life. I’m 19 years old reading your articles and i feel like I hit the jackpot finding your site at this age. keep em coming.
