One of the great things about being the boss is that you aren't on anyone else's time.
I was out swimming laps in the cool, morning air and something occurred to me - it's January 6th, I guess I can post my new years article now.
In the last post I asked you what you wanted to see from Bold and Determined in 2014.
So what's in store for B&D; in 2014? Same thing as in 2013 - Killin' with a smile.
Below I will respond to some questions, concerns etc.
Comments from readers are in italics, replies from Vic are in black.
I want to see content that gets me fired up but also leaves actionable steps to implement right away or in the nearest future. I want to see some more kicking dirt into feminist’s faces and I want to see the truth about emasculated society laid out even more.
Feminists gross me out, if they would stop emailing me I could be done with them permanently. Actionable steps? Friend, everybody is different. The plan that works for Johnny might fail for Jimmy. Mindset is key, the plan means jackshit without the right mindset. That's why I always write about MINDSET!
Inspirational is okay, but concrete is more valuable. I need information about e.g. how to protect my privacy more than I need exhortation. Also I think Feminism is the greatest ideological evil of modern history, not excluding racism, Nazism, and rap.
Agree about feminism, the solution is to starve the beast. The only way I know to truly protect your privacy is to never get online and never fly anywhere. I gave up my privacy paranoia.
I’d like to see meditation & other mind building techniques explored.
I've never meditated a day in my life and I won't be starting any time soon. For mind building I enjoy reading books. Something that works for me, along the lines of meditation, is waking up early, taking a cold shower (or swimming laps in the cool morning air), shaving and getting ready for the day before anyone else has even woken up.
I’d like to see more posts on how to deal with those negative issues that can arise: loss of vision, laziness, plateaus, self-doubt.. all that bad shit. Would be cool to hear how you overcome that crap, I’m sure everyone must suffer from time to time.
Like Rocky, take the hits and keep moving forward. JUST DON'T QUIT!
I understand that you are a private man, but I would love to read more of your private life stories. Especially stories of your greatest life struggles and the things that pushed you to become the man that you are today. I myself am motivated by shameful past mistakes and rejections. I now use those feelings of pain and shame to fuel myself to become better and stronger. I would love to know what fuels you from the core.
I would love to see more exercise regimens, more direct responses to people’s bullshit, deff more recipes for cooking meat, and various other diets and fasting routines you have to share.
Nowadays when I'm hungry I say “cook me some eggs” or “cook me a steak” and 15 minutes later the food appears on my desk, as if by magic. I've cooked steak the same way for years, pan fried in butter with salt and black pepper. I picked up some himalayan sea salt in Malaysia last year, holy moly that stuff is good. I recommend picking some up for your steak and eggs.
I’d like to hear your views on the concept of “honor” and what it means to you. We all need codes to live by, and a sense of honor has to fit into it somewhere. It would also be great to see more articles on people that inspire you. People that have done great things and made their mark on the world.
That's simple: I don't like alcoholics or drug addicts or sex fiends. I like clean people and don't like dirty people. “But Vic! You live in Bangkok!“. Good point.
I love the fact that you provide quality over quantity. It makes me want to come back and check this blog. Whenever a new article is about to arrive, I get psyched. Why is that? Because I just know that the article is going to be fking awesome. You shouldn’t change a thing. Keep it the way it is, because it’s brilliant.
The most important thing you can do as an artist is put out QUALITY. I use the Metallica Method. Metallica has been around for 30 years and they have only released 9 albums - they're one of the greatest bands of all time. If it takes me 3 weeks to write a great article then I'll spend 3 weeks on that article. I will never post just to post.
Going to go with part of what Alex DC said. It’d be nice to see what your take on a more personal code could be like. Rules and regulations that your companions must abide by before being kicked out of your group? Things you won’t tolerate from other people in their habits or behavior?
I don't have a group. I have friends here, I have friends there, but I don't have a group. When I do choose friends I want them to be dual purpose friends.
I’d like to see some more ideas regarding making money online, I could really use practical information of that sort right now in my life to help me accomplish my own goals.
I've actually got 4 reports that I give away for free to people who want to start a blog and open a hosting account with hostgator (see details here).
Oh, 1 more thing – I’d like to see some guest-posts as well, I’m sure there’s a bunch of people eager to contribute and you could easily screen the posts, so you’d get some quality content w/o expending much effort.
If your writing is on fire, if your writing kills, if your writing makes 'em cry or makes 'em buy I will allow the guest post. Otherwise I won't. Quality content without expending effort? Don't make me laugh. I've allowed only one guest post on the site and I put almost as much work into that post as I do into other posts. Tell Ludvig it's easy to write for B&D; and he'll laugh at you.
A forum to talk to other wolfs, more pics of your journey.
Here's a picture of my legs on a journey.
An article about how to juggle/balance health..wealth…relations would be welcome. I have observed many times its difficult to do this as when i focus on one thing others take a back seat
It is difficult to juggle these things. Immensely difficult. When I do something, I immerse myself in it. The solution I have found is to Blast and Cruise. Blast = working on one thing at a time, when you're at a point where you're finished (or burnt out) you cruise on that issue and move on to the next one. For example, you work like hell for 6 weeks, then work just a little bit and do something else for a while. Or if you need to get in shape, you work like hell in the gym until you get where you need to be, then you shift your focus to another endeavor while going to the gym just to maintain, or “cruise”.
I was about to ask for the essentials of eating and training when I realized the hallmark of your writing style is very head-on. So that calls for new topics rather then refining already refined ones. Meditation resulting in poise and mental strength + what can we learn from Bruce Lee stuff? Basic self defense in case someone jumps me. How to top physical, mental and economical strength with being a good (non-pussy) person?
What can we learn from Bruce Lee? I met him a few years ago in Hong Kong when I was skinnier, I should have asked him that question…but he seemed a little quiet.
I would love to hear more about your stories, and if you can make videos then that would me more awesome. Thanks to you bro I was a wimp before and became a better man.
and…
Vic we need a Bold and Determined Podcast. Would love to hear you simply talk about your ideas on life, business and lifting for 2 hours or so every other week.
Working on both of these.
From Bold and Determined I would second the common request for personal stories, but also I feel that interviews with verified winners would be good, with winner wolves, men that live the B&D; lifestyle and reap the success from it, whether that be in business, sports, positions of leadership or any other aspect of their life, let’s hear what they do and how it has brought them success.
I won't be doing too many interviews. I'm not a journalist, I'm not a DJ, I'm not an emcee and I never wanted to be.
I would like to see a Bold and Determined forum. I think it would be a much welcomed community of ass-kickers. Bold and Determined, in my opinion, has become more than a website, it’s become a community, it’s become a haven of information that us men NEED. Victor, as I have told you time and time again, without even knowing you, you helped change this guy for the better, and as corny as this may sound to some of you, I am VERY grateful.
The #1 reason I started Bold and Determined is because I used to post my ideas on a forum (long since dead) and 50% would always just want to argue with me. I thought “this is ridiculous”, I will just start a website and the guys who want and need this will find it and the people who just want to cry will stay away. If B&D; opens a forum it will be a paid-only forum, I don't want knuckle-heads signing up. I only want serious men who have something valuable to bring to the table.
I’d like to see more of your ideas against feminism and being masculine. I feel my test running through my veins when I read that stuff, makes me primed for lifting weights.
Act like a man and feminists just won't be a part of your life (but they will still stalk you online). For more about lifting weights from a no-nonsense bodybuilder check out my man John Doe.
I’d be interested to see how you approach writing a post. Is it a structured approach or more free writing?
and…
I concur.
I’d like to see your approach as well.
I sometimes think my posts are way too long.
‘Saying the most, in as few word possible’ = powerful
I start with an idea. Something that has been burning up in my head for a while, sometimes years, and eventually I have to get the idea out onto paper. I don't write an outline, I just start writing. I go over and over and over the articles 500 times editing and re-editing. Then, at the end, I cut out entire chunks of text and make the article as concise as I possibly can.
Language is very important to me and I write two types of articles: educational and poetry. And each type has a different style of writing. An example of an educational post is How I Make 10k Per Month Online and an example of a piece that I consider poetry is How to Conquer the Fear of Success.
I’d like to see The Gentleman’s Guide to Modern American Dating’ part II.
I haven't dated an American girl in over 3 years. There will never be a part 2 to The Gentleman's Guide to Modern American Dating.
…stuff on copywriting, more on dating maybe? more on productivity?
more books, most definitely, more on nootropics, probably have you ever considered running a “30 days of discipline” bootcamp for corporate or public audiences? just a thought…,
To read about nootropics you guys should check out Pill Scout, he writes about all that stuff.
As for copywriting, I'll give you a little secret: be an authority and be genuine and people will come running to you with money in their hands. My buddy Chris is making a ton of money and he doesn't do any traditional copywriting, he's just genuine. Check out his video review of 30 Days of Discipline below:
With that in mind I would like to see more about life as a lone wolf. I want to learn how to enjoy it.
I'm a lone wolf but I'm not lonely and there is a big difference. Living alone and being alone all the time will rob you of intimacy, intimacy is vital for man. If you don't enjoy being a lone wolf then maybe you aren't one, or maybe you just need a woman.
- Personal training / coaching business etc – your experience, advice, your failures / mistakes
- More about developing real friendships
- Big Government and how it is fucking up peoples lives
- School
- Government surveillance (I know you have mentioned this a little bit, but it would be interesting going deeper and wider into this topic)
I've never been a personal trainer but if I were I'd follow these two guidelines - 1) You should be in great shape and 2) You should be a good listener. It really doesn't matter if your clients get in shape or not, a personal trainer is more like a therapist.
Developing real friendships? These things just happen. School? Waste of time for most. Government surveillance? What can you do, live in the forest like John Rambo?
For B&D; I like the idea of adding a forum and maybe more on social skills, like knowing who to trust, how to gain the upper hand in a negotiation, etc.
Knowing who to trust is all in the eyes and first impressions are usually accurate.
Podcast/video would be awesome. More articles about making money through internet entrepreneurship.
Below is an example of a guy who is doing it pro from the get-go. This guy has done the best review for Body of a Spartan I have ever seen. For all you guys trying to get started making money online THIS! is how you do it. Pro from the get-go. The website looks fantastic and the writing is fantastic. After reading the review I even want go back and buy my own book!
I would like to see 3 things: First, a forum where fellow wolves could share stories/ideas and have discussions. Second, a post from your perspective about joining the military/being in the military. And third, a post that puts together a list of some of the baddest wolves (past or present) you think we should be emulating. Thanks and Merry Christmas. Forget about that politically correct ‘happy holidays’ bullshit.
The military I have two opinions….
- It can be great for a young man to develop discipline and pride in himself.
- Why would you ever want to go fight for people who hate you. Why do you want to fight to make them rich while they continually shit on you?
A post about specifically what goes through your mind when you work. Do you have a very specific game plan for the next day, with a time, duration, etc? Or just sit down and blast through until you’re done with a post or whatever you’re working on? What kinds of things help you with your mindset to be productive during that work session?
I sit down to write every single morning, without fail. I never eat food first thing in the morning, I like coffee, sometimes I take modafinil - but I always have the same goal in mind. I want jaws to drop to the floor when I publish an article. You may see one blog post per week, or one post per two weeks but the amount of work that goes into those posts is not small, I can promise that. I spend 8 hours minimum on each post, and sometimes up to two or three weeks. For every post I publish, 15 more are in the unfinished draft state because they weren't good enough.
I wish you would have some AdSense banner so I could click on it every time I read something :)) That would make some solid income alone :D Wish you all the best !
I will never have AdSense banners here, I don't care if they would make me 20 grand a month. They are ugly, phony baloney and they hurt my message. But I appreciate the thought.
Visit Eastern Europe and write about your experiences! In most places, you can find girls who look like professional models and will admire you like no other. Don’t believe it? Go to Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Russia etc. So many girls have great bodies, cute faces (w/o make-up even!) and are great company. If 2014 is planned for you already… well, it’s my goal as soon as I will deal with other things which planned for now.
I haven't been to Eastern Europe but you guys should check out a guy called Maverick Traveler, great writer and he's killin' it over there.
I would like to see some insight into the history of Bold & Determined. Specifically, I am referring to events and/or posts throughout its three years that caused profit and audience to grow significantly.
The magic T word is what grew my audience - TIME.
Hey Victor, could you elaborate on how you manage relationships? You talk about how your girlfriend treats you really well and gives you proper respect. But what about American girls? They have been indoctrinated by feminists and can be quite sassy and demanding. Is there any way to handle them?
Pick the right girl and not much management is needed. I don't like American girls, they simply can't compete with foreign girls. They can't cook, they can't clean, they are good for only 3 things: sex, arguing and drinking. They act like “just one of the guys”, but I'm not a homosexual and I don't want one of the guys, I want a girly girl.
How to handle them? Ignore them, try to find yourself a recent import. Now I know a bunch of fatsos will come out and say “you just can't get American girls“. Don't make me laugh, I was a player before playin' was cool.
I would also like to note that the percentage of users who are intelligent, motivated, and articulate (or trying to improve in this regard) on B&D; far exceeds that of most websites (as you most likely know) so incisive content is most welcome.
I agree, but! for every 20-30 great comments I get one comment from a retard that I delete. Comments here add up, so I get quite a bit of retards leaving retarded comments. It's enough to make a man want to turn off comments (don't worry, boys, I won't).
At B&D;, you’ve done a great job with the mind and body. In 2014, I wish to see you shift more towards the soul. I once watched a Thai kickboxing match, it was bloody and violent. Ironically, it began with a long prayer session, with priests and incense! I believe there is a great relation between success and spiritual growth. Being in Thailand may actually help you into reaching the logic of oriental religions: Confucianism, Buddhism, Islam etc…
I won't be doing that, I'm white. White Buddhists are so phony baloney they make me sick - like the dirty, dreadlocked white hippie I saw on the skytrain the other day. But I do want to tell you about the funniest thing I have seen in several years…
I was at a Thai kickboxing match, and in the middle of the match a man went into the ring with a snake. He was a “snake charmer” trying to kiss the snake. He was doing his little trick when all of a sudden the snake bit him on the face, hard! The sound he made when he was bitten on the face by a snake was so funny I'm laughing about it one year later. It was a real wimpy, defeated sound, like a whining dog - imagine a sound effect from the Simpsons of someone getting bit in the face by a snake. The sound he made was straight from a cartoon.
-How to maintain youth, staying healthy and looking young, vitamins skincare etc.
-how to counter feminists and those who think like them or pretend to
-how to deal with coworkers…or bosses or people that take advantage of you and how you can defend yourself from them or fuck them over (ideally be your own boss but if you don't quite have the funds yet, not all of us have made it quite yet)
You don't need to counter feminists just like you don't need to counter people with schizophrenia or down's syndrome.
How to deal with coworkers? I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, my suggestion is to quit and start a new job - it's called Create-a-job. What you do is the same thing you do now, only you leave your company, you call yourself a consultant and you make a lot more money and have a lot more freedom.
As for looking young, I have always looked young for my age and I don't do anything special - soap and water.
I just finished University, am now looking for a job until my business is snowballing. How do I do this, without lying to the HR-ladies and HR-wussies? Victor You opened my eyes, but I can never say it during interview. Do I need to lie? Is that honorable?
I haven't been to a job interview in 5 or 6 years but should you lie? Yes, of course. That's the only way you get past Bitchy Becky, the new HR recruit. Is it honorable? Selling your soul to work a job and lowering yourself to be interviewed by an unqualified interviewer isn't honorable, so who cares if you lie.
Vic, it would be fantastic to see your views on time management and how to do as much of the things you love doing, along with the necessities.
If you can't manage your time there are a few reasons why. A) You have a job taking up your time B) You have the time, you just don't have the energy or C) You truly don't have the time because you work so much. In case of C the best thing to do is to hire someone to do the work for you.
I hired a guy a few months and it allows me to get a lot of things done that I can't or won't do on my own.
Of course I didn't take a paycut to hire somebody, that would be dumb. Instead, I planned a way to increase income to cover the cost of my right hand man. How? By setting up websites for people who don't know how to do it. If you want to start a blog but don't know how click here.
From this website I’d love to see posts like the one you have on projection of power. Anything that provides real advice concerning everyday life that won't turn me into a bitch is something I’m willing to read. Also, posts like “The #1 way to get what you want” are a great addition to the site and I’d love to see more work like that in the future. Perhaps even, if you feel like it’s worth it. A post or two that gives everyone more insight into who you are and the experiences you’ve had.
The #1 way to project power is to be be big and strong. Like me…
Bold and Determined has already given a lot . You should sell some stuff . t-shirts, hats ,supplements whatever I guess . Spread your message make a bit of money . With the name Bold and Determined there really is nothing stopping you from creating a real brand there. I could see it on t-shirts , weight lifting clothing , supplements .MMA gear.
A Bold and Determined store is in the works. I'm waiting on the t-shirts to arrive to me in Thailand to check their quality. We'll eventually add baseball caps, gym shorts and some other things.
So, you are starting a website, you are doing well but you hit a creative block or a shit like that, instead of the ideas and the confidence you use to have all you have now is reasons in your head why you will fail and not a single good idea comes along, what do you do?
No confidence for the project when 2 weeks ago I was on fire, no motivation for going to the gym and no job.
My girlfriend broke up with me in the process, so that could be one of the reasons, shit, even modafinil isn’t working and just giving me headaches.
Imagine running into your ex-girlfriend one year from now. How do you want to appear then? Rich and successful, or broke and lazy? I'd want to be rich and clean so I could have a good laugh at her and not vice versa.
————
I know you guys keep wanting video, video, video - try not to get hypnotized.

What you see above is the product of two things: 1) Tons of bench pressing 2) Letting a Thai cut your hair. They think every white guy wants to look like Forrest Gump.
Oh, and if you're curious that shirt I'm wearing is Thai size XXL. If I get any bigger I won't have clothes to wear. I even stopped training legs so I can fit into my pants. If you come to Thailand to bodybuild make sure you bring big clothes with you!
We'll be back to our regularly scheduled killin' in T-minus whenever it feels right.
Until next time,
Your man,
-Victor Pride

Wow first! After reading this blog, I too have decided to kick things in high gear and step into the unknown. I just put my product up and will use the funds for a domain.
I’m not going back to corpo-work until they bankrupt me.
Cheers to 2014!
Thanks for all the motivation.
I am sharing a couple of sources for those who like to read rich, empowering messages for men.
1. Mr. Mafioso at http://www.askmen.com/money/mafioso/ has over 170 articles. I don’t know if it is from a real Mafioso or not, but the message is good and turns anything you learned in school on its head. If you are pursuing the corporate lifestyle, this may be up your alley.
2. Your government hates you, and looks at you as a milk cow (and hopefully later not as a beef cow). You owe it to yourself to read “The Creature from Jekyll Island”. I am not into conspiracy theories. If you want to find out the truth on any subject, always follow the money. Who got bailed out in 2008? Joe Some, or JPMorgan Stanley? I promise you that you will never look at the government the same way again. Here are some YouTube videos: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=the+creature+from+jekyll+island&sm=1
All for now Alpha men!
Thanks for the feature and kind words, Victor Pride.
To all my fellow wolves, best advice I could give you guys is to be persistent on the hustle and enjoy the journey. You have to be willing to put in the work even when the outcomes seem bleak.
This was pretty cool to read actually. This is far better than an about page.
Can’t help notice all the comments about feminism.
Please bring on the hatred to what I’ll say. There’s no such thing as feminism. Men are just weak today.
Don’t argue with girls. Don’t explain anything to girls. Don’t worship girls. A man grabs a girl by the hip, looks at her straight in the eye until she looks down and then states his point. That’s it.
No arguments. No explanations. Nothing.
There’s no such thing as feminism. Most men are just not men.
Agreed.
In Singapore, it is called sexual harassment, and you can and will go to jail for that.
Hey man,
I just wanted to say that I agree with everyone who says that you should open up a forum, and I think your idea of making it a paid one could be good.
Look at how SomethingAwful.com do it, they charge $10 one time entry fee and then charge people more for extras like archives, search functionality, PMs, etc. That, combined with good rules and a strict moderation policy, has fostered a forum that is extremely rich in real content.
I’m curious as to what forum you used to post on.
Also, thanks for the blog. I don’t agree with everything you say and I wouldn’t necessarily want to live my life in exactly the way you do, but your perspective is invaluable.
Hahaha, that was actually a very funny read. Although that GIF video freaks me out a bit.
Looking forward to your future posts for 2014. I’ve got a feeling your still going to be killin it.
On the points about women?
Do you have a regular girlfriend now or do you play the field over there? Do you go down well with the women over there?
No, I don’t play the field. I have a regular live in. Do Thai girls like me? I’m guessin’ you’ve never been here, you’d never need to ask that question. My skin is white and my pockets are green, they love me.
Ain’t that the truth.
Vic,
Man, this was an excellent post. Way to reply to nearly every worthwhile comment left on your last post.
Sign me up for a B&D shirt, will wear it proudly like a Winner Wolf.
Way to open yourself up even more. You’re merely adding even MORE credibility to B&D.
Cheers to a successful 2014 to all.
To everyone who is thinking about starting a website, and hesitant, don’t be. Just go for it. Dedicate as much time to it as you can. Eventually you’ll make some money if you take it serious enough. My #1 goal for 2014 is to quit my job (albeit pretty decent paying job) and be my boss. I’ve got 12 months to do so, so hopefully, on December 31st, 2014 (or before), I can refer back to this post and say “BOOM!”
Now that I’m done reading the entire article I must say it gives me a feeling of just a simple ass-kicking life style. Or that may be the way I’m perceiving it ? Ether way It helps me, I enjoy it, I am utilizing it for my own life and most of all I appreciate you for sharing it.
Your answers ARE bold and determined and the way you describe something simply makes sense. This article even gives me glimpse of your life style and your thinking.
Great work man!
This post was hilarious and inspirational. i laughed when i opened the page because i know you swam in that very pool and its beautiful. Thanks for all the effort you put into the message that you bring. I don’t yet have a groundbreaking story but i know that will all my smart work and stubbornness i will make my obsession work for. I dropped out of Uni last year and of that, I am proud. 2014 will be the first year of my life, that i can remember, that I’m not in any sort of academic institution and i cant wait to kick ass this year. im so fired up and excited and i hear people around me saying they are scared of the new year. hahahaha.
One incredible lesson i learnt from you since i started reading this blog in january 2013 is presenting yourself well in the way you dress and sculpting a handsome body. I’m only now learning (from experience) that when one dresses better, one feels better and others take notice and want to engage in conversation at the very least.
I was on the train last year, coming back from rehearsals when a woman opposite me saw me reading THINK AND GROW RICH. she proceeded to write down the name of three other life changing books and gave me the sheet of paper with the info. Now that might not seem like anything big but i know that if i had a spotty face with my hood up and dirty clothes, reading a newspaper, i wouldn’t have received that little help
and support from a complete stranger.
many more has happened last year like meeting and playing with my favorite musicians but my focus now is money and I know i will get it. I JUST READ YOUR POST ABOUT 21 RULES OF THE RICH again for the 3rd time BUT NOW I REALLY GET IT. I USED TO BE SCARED OF MONEY. BUT NO LONGER.
Again, thank you for all your support because its really helpful. i’ll make sure to make you aware of some incredible things i experience this year.
Have a great year, Victor
You’re absolutely right brother. I will NEVER wear a hoodie. Hoodies are for HIDING your face! because you how low self confidence. Even the word “hoodie” is gay. (This does not go for people who wear hoodies if they work outside in the cold, go running in the cold etc).
“I JUST READ YOUR POST ABOUT 21 RULES OF THE RICH again for the 3rd time BUT NOW I REALLY GET IT. I USED TO BE SCARED OF MONEY. BUT NO LONGER.”
My friend the book “How rich people think” which you can get from that link is a life changer and a must-read for developing a rich mindset It literally changed my life after a few pages.
Vic awesome site bro! Your a huge inspiration and motivator for me right now. I just registered my own blog and signed up at Hostgator last week. I hate to do it but I have to call BS on the you and Bruce Lee Photo. That is a damn convincing wax cast of him though! I am pretty sure he had kicked off of a heart attack long before you could drive! But you are one of the few who are keeping it real….mostimes!
*facepalm*
Yes David, I don’t think anyone thought it really was Bruce Lee…
Advanced sarcasm is not for everybody

Victor,
Thanks for all the great information. I found your site last year at a time where I was getting ready to just settle for the life I was leading. A life providing value only for my employer and none for myself. Trading away my life for a salary.
You made me get off my ass and realize that I can’t give up on wanting more.
Keep up the good work. I enjoy a lot of what you put out and can’t say I need/want anything more than what you provide.
Vic at times you brag too much! There is more to life than money.
Jealous Johnny appears right on time.
Its not Bragging, Its how real men should talk. Confidence. Fruit cakes talk softly. LOL.
Ain’t nothin wrong with bragging about shit you’ve accomplished. Hey, if you can talk the talk and walk the walk, you might as well.
Laughed out loud. hahahahah Victor, you make me chuckle man.
You’re here cause you want to, no one’s shoving this in your face.
Great Post!!!
Your answers to questions are so straight forward and awesome, really true to self.
Not caring about feminism, that rather pointless thing that seems to bother men all over the world got the treatment it deserves. It is a philosophy followed by weak women who get a daily fix of the next best thing to think about today. Similar to the fatties the art currently ordering this year’s new diet that will fail, just like last years diet.
On the whole I agree with having a strong body, though not really being big, I am of a small build however very well defined and muscular with great combat skills.
Love this site
Thank you Victor
Victor Pride, You inspire us all. I consider you a friend even though we have never met. Keep Training and working hard.
Great content Victor! You’ve got all your targets and plans laid out for 2014 and I’m sure you’ve got the mindset to achieve every one of your goals. This site has been inspirational and motivating to say the least. I have followed your progress and have planned what I want to achieve in 2014. Great content, great site, you may be making lots of money but whats more rewarding is you’re making a difference to many men’s lives. Keep it up my friend.
“Mindset is key, the plan means jackshit without the right mindset. That’s why I always write about MINDSET!”
I like that. Looking forward to your future articles.
By the way, I recently got back to training at the gym with the goal of getting a bodyweight overhead press. My press has been stuck at the same weight for about a year, but after using some ideas from your Body of a Spartan book, I added over 15 lbs to it in just 3 training sessions!
victor congrats…what has contributed to your legs getting so big that you had you stop training them? if you eat hard boiled eggs by itself is that considered a meal?
Training and a bucket of pasta with heavy meat sauce at night. Yes, eggs are a meal. I eat hardboiled eggs as a meal if I’m out and about - I buy them at 7-11.
Still laughing at the gif and Forrest Gump comment
Cheers to your continued success in 2014
T-minus whenever it feels right.
Holy shit. That right there is hands down one of the awesomest songs ever made. I don’t smoke but goddamn that’s a good song. Yelled myself hoarse more than once screaming along to it.
Thanks again for the great post. Here’s to fuckin’ killin’ it in 2014.
Planets align.
A king is born.
I don’t smoke, I didn’t even put 2 and 2 together as to what grass meant for like, oh, 15 years.
vic’s photo with USA chickens… biggest Dirt into Feminist’s Face ;)
Great post as usual. But the Optimized Strength blog you praised has two faults-
1. The guy’s not collecting e-mails
2. Use of Adsense Ads - Not great for a blog
He’s got a great looking theme though, and nice content. So maybe that takes care of the second point, but the first is critical.
Also Victor, are ‘how-to’ cooking lessons on the cards anytime soon? Would love lessons on how to cook amazing healthy food.
Although you are correct that he has yet to do those two things that Victor suggests, there is more than one strategy to build a business. With that noted, it still appears to be a quality website.
I don’t cook, man! I haven’t cooked in a long time. When I do cook, I literally just cook scrambled eggs <--and only one time in the past year. Below is exactly 100% everything I ate yesterday... #1 Scrambled eggs in butter with black pepper and sea salt #2 Steak in butter, black pepper and sea salt #3 Salmon Sashimi #4 Steak in butter, black pepper and sea salt Very easy to cook. Lately I've been eating sushi everyday, which doesn't even require cooking.
Careful of the raw fish sushi, Vic. I’m sure you’re already aware of the stomach cancer risks.
Damn right about the Himalayan salt. That stuff can make anything taste great.
“Don’t make me laugh, I was a player before playin’ was cool.”
“You don’t need to counter feminists just like you don’t need to counter people with schizophrenia or down’s syndrome.”
Two quotes from this article that made me laugh.
Hey Vic,
Yeah - would be awesome if you could share a few healthy meal recipes that are good for workout/muscle gain, other then steak, eggs , potatoes etc. I recently purchased you ‘Body of a Spartan, and have been following a routine 6 days p/wk - feelin gr8! How do you find Thai food? I found most of it healthy and delicious.
I don’t eat Thai food. If I do eat Thai food it’s BBQ fish or fried chicken, once in a while I eat pad thai. Almost 100% of my meals are prepared at home, or lately I’ve been going to a sushi joint.
I like Salmon Sashimi very much as a muscle gainer, I’ve been eating it everyday for about 3 weeks and it gets even more delicious every time I eat it.
Great Post Vic, thanks for it! Can´t wait to train with my new B&D T-Shirt.
BTW: Your Dishwash advice for roidacne works wonders!
Dear Victor,
I just found your website the other day. I like the way you think, about some things. I especially like, that you like to work out and take care of your body.
I would like to know, why you do not live in the U.S.? Also, from what do you make a living? How long, have you been able to be financially independent? How long did it take you to be that way?
Sincerely,
“Guy”
Hey Guy, I don’t live in USA because I prefer foreign women, I prefer less cost of living, I prefer to save a little in taxes..among many other reasons.
Vic,
This post kicked six gallons of ass.
Cheers
Few things Vic.
1. Thanks for answering our questions!
2. Seeing real results (in form of pictures of You) is a huge motivator.
3. I noticed many girls I’m with compliment on my veins. They are pretty visible even though I’m a quite hairy guy. I really don’t give a damn about it but thought, if it can be nice to these ladies - I might shave my body. My question is, how long does it take before these hair grow back on You Vic? How often do You need to shave? Also, do You shave Your lower body too? Veins on calves or tights have potential to look impressive.
4. When B&D shops is opened, it would be nice to be able to purchase there some badass checked shirts.
3) I get stubble within a few days, within a week to two weeks I will need to shave again. I’ve never let the hair grow back fully on my arms so I can’t say how long it takes. I probably shave my arms once every two weeks. I DID just shave my lower body so I can better fit into my jeans, no joke, it takes me about a month my leg hair to grow back fully. And yes, the veins stick out like mad. Shaving makes a huge difference.
Hey Vic, ever thought of translating your site into other languages? Wouldn’t that possibly get you more readers?
Check out B&D en espanol at http://elmachismo.com
“…siempre se ve bien al final.” Esta es la verdad!
¿Quién es esto “Macho Machista? Usted, o alguien otro? Escribirá cosas nuevas, o sólo cosas escribido por usted?
It is not me, señor. It it http://transmillenium.wordpress.com/
Ahahah nice, spanish is really close to my language. I prefer reading in english though. And that’s like a whole other site, even though the articles are the same… I was thinking more about some kind of feature here at B&D where you could just click something and get everything translated. I understand english perfectly but there are a lot of people who don’t, and seeing this site expanding at this rate.. there might be a lot of people who will miss it just because of that.
Ah, fuck me. I literally just talked with my Spanish friend about translating your entire site and books to spanish. I guess we are demasiado tarde?
Yes, but if you make a Russian friend you have some opportunity.
I actually happen to have a Russian friend and she is living here in Portugal and studying translation at college ahaha
Your site would be very popular in Brazil, but one would need to translate it to Brazilian Portuguese. Most Brazilians can’t read English and hate reading Spanish, even tough they can understand a lot. There is a big market there…
Already got some Brazilians working on it.
lol I could translate the whole site in german.
Don’t you guys all speak English as well as German? A BIG % of my readership is German.
Correct. We all have to learn English in school for a couple of years. The younger people in Germany are speaking English well enough to understand your site. And the old farts don`t know how to use the Internet anyway…
Started smoking when i was 16 stupid….
Stopped working out after high school even more stupid…
Got married and have 5 kids and an ex. Love the kids the ex well el stupido…..
44 now and need to change my life before its gone, tried to quit smoking 3 times in the last 3 years kept telling myself I am just not ready yet. It was all crap. 8 weeks ago shortly after i found 2 blogs AOM and now yours I am 8 weeks into no smoking, no porn, no drinking and I am working up to doing 50 each of dips sit ups push ups chin ups and pull ups. When I finish achieving that and move on to wieghts I will be purchasing your BOAS. Thank you sir for your words of inspiration you have helped me save what is left of my years.
good man, it shows vic bringing changes in lifes of men across the world. ..
Might want to throw some squats into that mix.
Great job bro! Glad to see Vic helping so many people. I know 30 days of Discipline helped me out a lot too. Give it a shot. The no porn shit changed my life! I was so depressed and now I look back to two months ago, and I’m like what was wrong with me?! Keep in touch man via email if you need some support.
Can you say a bit more about that? I’ve noticed since starting 30 DOD again that I have been in some real funks. And I even just banged a virgin 2 days ago! (20yo) but all today…. Moody and restlessness.
It basically gave me something to look forward to everyday. The cold showers, the to-do list. Everyday I try and get a little something done. Even shooting to wake up early. I also gave up porn and abstained from chics for now. They were distracting, and american women take up way too much attention to focus on right now, while getting my life together. So in these areas I have seen improved moods, and a lot of other improvements. Even bigger gains in the gym and a shit load more energy to boot.
Victor I know that you wrote about not getting married and having kids which protects you from not having to pay alimony and child support but when I found your blog it was too late. You saved me from not getting married but I still had a kid. I’m sure there are a lot of people in this situation. So can you write about how to handle child support and the proper way of paying it without getting srewed by the system in the usa which protects feminists anyway? thanks..
Child support and Alimony is you getting screwed by the system, there’s no way to pay it and not be getting screwed. Feminist policies in full effect. Best solution? Wait about, oh, 18 years or so.
as per my understanding victor never says dont get married. he says dont get married to wrong girl. check out how to pick right wife, how to meet shy girls.
n if you have a kid its not a burden on you dude. Its a blessing. dont just think about money. when you’ll be in your bad years there will be someone who will be your “own”
Marriage is a raw deal for men, no two ways about it. But if! you’re going to pull the trigger you should make the most informed decision.
Luis,
You should see an family law attorney in your state for a consultation as to see if there is any chance the payments can be reduced if you have suffered a loss of income, or any number of other factors that affect child support.
Other choices you have would depend upon your marketable skills. Short of leaving the country and denouncing your U.S. citizenship and going to somewhere else, you are in a bit of a hard spot. Increasing your income (although hard, it can be done) can help offset large payments.
Last but not least, depending upon what your skill set is, many men in the United States are now working off the books on the side for cash only. Craigslist has a section for “gigs” that are short-term jobs that might match up with what you are trained in, thus giving you the option to pull in extra non-taxable cash jobs.
great article Victor.I already know that 2014 is going to one of your best yet.
I wonder what would be the best way way to attract customers to a software product?
That’s a very open question. What type of software and who are the customers? Find those people.
Its a premium word press plugin specifically for word press bloggers,so I would have to start from there.
Well there you go, you have your audience. What I would do is reach out to big time bloggers, give them the plugin for free, if they like it they can review it, open up an affiliate program so they can make some money for pushing your plugin and everybody’s happy.
Anonk,
I’m using WordPress on my site. What kind of functionality does your plugin have? If it is something that you’d like feedback on or to beta test/review it, I’d be glad to help before you roll out a commercial version. Hit me up if you’re interested.
@Victor Pride, you pull out ideas from anywhere, much gratitude.
@Vincent MadMenMoney.com the plugin is still in the work ,but when launched
I ll be sure to let you in it.
Great, drop on by and say hi when you’re getting closer to rolling it out. I also recommend you make a point of trying to post regularly on other WordPress blogs to help build a bit of recognition with the webmasters that own them. The more your can get out there and build familiarity, the better your chances of being able to convince them that you value their input not only when designing your plugins, but also the long-term customer support, bug tracking, feature requests and so forth. Face time matters, and on the internet, ‘face time’ means being a frequent contributor. Good luck!
Hahaha. Thanks for this article and for the mention Victor.
I’ve had a blast in 2013 starting up my site, writing what I learn about supplements and nootropics like a nerd, getting the word out about your e-book, and finally releasing my own books. 2014 should kick ass all over the place.
Been reading this blog since the beginning of 2012, I’m implementing your ideas I like and always seeing the results, slow and steady like a stubborn bull. I’m going to keep reading and learning, and I couldn’t have done it without Bold and Determined.
P.S. You can’t go wrong with Kill ’em All, Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.
Hey Vic wjy dont you get tailored clothes? You get proper fit and being in Thailand the price is reasonable
I do buddy. I buy 36 inch waist jeans and have the waist brought in, but now those are too small for legs. I’m going to the States soon so I’ll just stock up on normal fitting clothes.
Victor,
Long-time reader and lurker, first-time commentator. It is time to stop living life in the shadows and lead an inspired existence. There are few sites out there that have gotten me fired up in the way B&D has.
I’ve decided to take the following steps to launch 2014 with a bang:
1. I purchased Host Gator hosting through your affiliate link. Because as you’ve stated many times over, anything worth doing is worth kicking ass at, I signed up for a three year package. Plan for long-term success and then go out there and make it happen. Congrats on your own website’s multi-year history. My hat is off to you.
2. The blog I’ve just started is MadMenMoney.com. As the name implies, I am going to provide crazy good money advice for men. I’ve had lots of great mentors on how to not only make money but save money as well. There’s just such bullshit money advice out there for guys (go to law school and get a J.D. with $100k worth of debt with a 60% chance of getting hired as a part-time associate, how about a big ‘hell no!’) that needs to be debunked and replaced with simple-talk. You’ve found your own niche for no-nonsense voice that men badly need, and as you’ve stated before, give them good content and the crowds will show up eventually.
3. I’ve purchased 30 Days of Discipline. Talk about kicking yourself in the ass! The cold showers are a mother, but one thing I’ve come to realize is that many men, myself included, are too damn soft in modern society. Most of my work is done from a comfy office chair. Every once in a while we need to be tried by fire, and 30 Day’s certainly is a shocker for some. I can’t wait to complete the first cycle and repeat. Next up, Body of a Spartan.
4. I’m normally not a fan of themed merchandise, but B&D swag would be something I could get behind for sure with a few pointers (from someone with a background in sales and marketing):
- Make sure the actual clothes are of high-quality. Your crowd here believes in quality over quantity. Crappy stuff that fades or has loose stitching reflects poorly on the brand. Bring something worth wearing!
- Solicit some feedback from the troops. When you have some design mock-ups post them here before going to the production stage. It can help keep you from investing money in design duds from becoming inventory that doesn’t move. Also, you can help fine-tune which themes are best matched with what the member base loves best about B&D.
Develop a great product line and I’ll be honored to drop a dime or two on the gear. The best customer is not merely a purchaser, but a believer in the concept, the belief, the lifestyle. I have no doubt that your core readership is eager to spread the message to the many men that need to hear it.
Thank you for all of you inspirational work. I’m still going through all your archives and reading up on all the posts and comments. There’s a lot of wisdom there to be digested.
To a happy and prosperous 2014 to you Vic and to all of the B&D wolves out there.
Great article.
Send out emails when that forum is up. I will be first in line with a hand full of cash.
It is best that it is paid. You might not have as much members, but the payment requirement will most definitely filter out clowns, keeping the threads quality.
I look forward to discussing online $$$ with other winners and men striving to become great.
I can do some designing work for shirts and audio work for your podcasts. These are both great ideas I can’t wait to see you carry out.
Aaron, I need some design work for T-shirts, gym shorts, and baseball caps. If you are talented shoot me an email and we’ll talk.
Excellent post Vic. I appreciate the shout-out as well.
Great photos too. You were quite the player back in the day!
Has the request: “I understand that you are a private man, but I would love to read more of your private life stories… ” been accidentally merged with another request about cooking?
Did you read the whole quote?
Victor, when t-shorts will be available?
Nice gif! Haha
“I’ve never meditated a day in my life and I won’t be starting any time soon. For mind building I enjoy reading books. Something that works for me, along the lines of meditation, is waking up early, taking a cold shower (or swimming laps in the cool morning air), shaving and getting ready for the day before anyone else has even woken up.”
I start my day always with the same routine. I get up early, take a cold shower, meditate and go to the gym. Meditation is by far the best part of my morning. It is a brilliant activity. It helped me to become present to the moment, tuned out my nagging inner voice, and made me unreactive. By the way, it puts a grin to my face like nothing else.
The question that every man ought to ask himself about any activity in his life: Am I getting the desired results? If so, great. If not, can the activity be improved to get the desired results? If so, great. If it can’t be tweaked to actually bring benefit to his life, said endeavor should be purged and an alternative should be found.
To find focus, one might meditate, take a cold shower, play a round of golf or engage in a chess match. No matter what the activity is, once you brain is both alert but also calm and focused, it is a task worth making a habit out of. Rather than boredom, there is strength to be found in daily routine.
It’s really amazing how weightlifting can transform a man and his image, in the Bruce Lee picture you don’t look half as respectful or powerful as you do now haha great job!!
is it dificult to have a relationship with an asian girl? (the religion, the different culture or the relationship with her parents)
P.S. Chong LI is jealous of your moving chest
“is it dificult to have a relationship with an asian girl? (the religion, the different culture or the relationship with her parents)”
Not for me. We live in Thailand but my gf is not Thai, does not speak thai and certainly has no relatives in the whole country. The hardest thing is the language barrier, her english isn’t great.
Oh, and I used to love Bloodsport when I was a kid.
ok! thanks for your answer!
and I meant respectable not respectful! haha
I used to love Bloodsport too!
Thanks for putting this up.
I definitely agree a private board would be awesome.
Exclusive content, mutual help between members, etc…
I’m willing to trade my expertise with other people’s expertise, and I think a lone wolves board would be good for this.
Thanks for the post Vic you kick ass.
Victor I know that you have spoken about buying assets and diversifying can you give us some examples or tips on those two topics? Great work on answering questions. You have truly have the best blog online and followers too. Now that you have the followers you truly can start banking money..
haha FIRST thing i thought to myself looking at your GIF was: damn, thats a Forrest Gump haircut.
Nice one. I admire your fire and find inspiration in it. I intend to write review of your book the 30days of discipline on my site soon by the way- because its just an awesome challenge.
Hey Victor,
is “T-minus whenever it feel right” a clutch reference?
If so,
Nice.
Thanks,
Sly
Yes it is.
Hey Vic,
Great piece, have been tearing through your site and there is lots of good stuff on here including the link to the piece on intimacy at xsplat. Its good to see a guy talking about intimacy and sex transmutation, I’ve been putting these in practice over the last 6 months or so and its made massive differences in my quality of life. In my experience not controlling your sexual energy means, dopamine crashes, low mood, sexual compulsion and fatigue. Controlling it means warmth, energy and focus on your mission.
Cheers
Absolutely right my friend.
Love the pics., Vic.
A lot of New Year’s resolutions on here/comments about making money.
Let me tell you all something:
1) I started a blog.
2) I didn’t quit.
3) I DIDN’T QUIT.
4) I CREATED a product.
5) I sold my product.
My PayPal account balance after first day of sales:
$83.72
Eighty three dollars and seventy two cents.
Can’t make money online? Bullshit.
You just don’t want it bad enough.
Mr. Veins - Mike C.
Bold and determined is suppose to be a masculine site and should not have all these pinkinsh buttons and font
Bold and Determined is SUPPOSED to attract men who get it, men who don’t are shunned. Sayonara fatso.
JohnyT had a point. The old red-white-black color scheme was a bit garish, but it fit the theme better. Pink and gray do not portray boldness and determination in the same way that saturated primary colors do, and the most primary of all colors are red, white, blue, and black. There is hardly any national flag in history that does not contain at least one of those colors, and most contain two or three of them, but you won’t find many with gray or pink. I don’t think it’s wholly coincidental that Prussia and the Second and Third Reichs chose red, white, and black battle flags. They are aggressive and inspirational colors.
The colors were good, but everything else about that theme was a piece of shit. I just looked at it again, it’s like going from a macbook pro to a windows desktop.
At the end of the day, the content matters more than any theme. This place could look like Geocites from back in the 90’s and men that get it would still come here for the articles. Content is king.
“At the end of the day, the content matters more than any theme. This place could look like Geocites from back in the 90′s and men that get it would still come here for the articles. Content is king.”
Content is King but never never forget design and usability is Queen. If you capture my queen I’m vulnerable, I’m toast - GAME OVER!
True. If anything, I’d say the theme elements could be scaled down a bit in size. Everything is very large to my eyes, but perhaps you chose this style to match the overall message of B&D, which is BOLD.
One thing that I’ve found helpful as a webmaster over the years is to take some of your regular readers and given them a preview on a site overhaul in the background. A “beta test” if you will.
Your core audience will always give you candid feedback on how to improve. I read B&D mostly on readers such as gReader or Feedly, but when I want to post a comment, then switch to Firefox. Google Analytics is quite useful in tracking who, what and how your site is being used by your following.
Last year I purged a lot of sites from my feed tracking programs. Simply put, too much information leads to inaction. A man needs to go out there and test out his various ideas floating in his head far more than he needs to ponder how “tomorrow” is going to be the best day to get started.
There’s an old Chinese proverb that says:
The best time to plant a tree was 25 years ago. The next best time is today.
There are few sites that get me fired up like B&D does. I haven’t skipped a post since I discovered it. B&D is proof you don’t need to have a 100m followers. You just need a sizable number of loyal fans to turn the corner on profit and continued growth.
Keep up the great work!
Vic,
I am a young guy(14), and really want to build muscle. I am tired of bullshit. Where is a free resource that shows me exactly how to start on getting big. Step by step. Please show me.
Thank you.
scroll all the way up, look to the right for a book, you should know which one.
Buy Victor’s book Body of a Spartan. The 20 dollars it takes to buy it, is nothing compared to the actionable advice you will get out of it.
Victor in the beginning how long did you have to wait before you started making a livable income from this site?
18 months.
Awesome kick in the butt for 2014!!!
Vic, apart from feminists, Do you have a lot of haters? And if so, how Do you deal with them?
Create spam filters? Ban commentators?
Spam n ban. Perhaps 5% of comments fall into the “haterz” category.
Thanks for answering Vic. Keep killing it with a smile!
If a man doesn’t have haters, he’s not making enough noise. Haters are a natural byproduct of being successful.
Example: Years ago I worked as a salesman on a team of 12. Ten of them were lazy and barely did enough to not get fired. Myself and one other man worked as a two-man tag team and blew the crappy sales associates out of the water. Our were greater than commissions combined of the remaining 10 “salesmen”.
Let me tell you, I never heard such bitchiness out of that lot. They would show up late for work and not dress sharply. They would whine about how my partner and I always managed to get “lucky” with the best customers. Whine. Whine. Whine!
All they did was whine.
There are makers and there are takers out there. The makers go out and handle their business. The takers (whinners) go out there and say gimmie dat pie! To that, I say “hell no”.
All of the haters at that job ended up getting fired anyways due to poor performance in the long run. Myself and the one other gentleman who delivered month in and month out eventually got promoted to management. When you start to get haters, you’re headed in the right direction.
Great shit as usual. 2014 is all about Business and Fitness for me here in Bangkok.
7 days in on a diet and feel great, much better than before. I’m on a keto diet because I’ve had some problems with blood sugar levels, carb cravings, feeling like absolute dogshit and falling asleep at all hours of the day, etc. The high fat and moderate protein makes me feel full longer, and not have those crazy blood sugar spikes and crashes that have been fucking me up for years.
If an extremely handsome guy with a shaved head ever tries to come up and shake your hand on the BTS, it’s probably me…or Georges St. Pierre.
“If an extremely handsome guy with a shaved head ever tries to come up and shake your hand on the BTS, it’s probably me…or Georges St. Pierre.”
…or I could just be walking towards a mirror.
I’m doing a lazy man’s keto at the moment, 2 days with steak, eggs and sashimi, 2 days carbs rinse and repeat.
Where do you get your steak? A lady sells steak at the OnNut day market, across the street from Big C. It’s cheap, but tough as shit. I think ~250 for a kilo of New Yorks, but they taste more like rump roast.
Terminal 21, downstairs at gourmet market at the butchers. Great rib eyes. I didn’t eat steak for a whole year until I found these tasty treats at terminal.
“I’m doing a lazy man’s keto at the moment, 2 days with steak, eggs and sashimi, 2 days carbs rinse and repeat.”
That’s what I do more or less. On training days I eat lots of carbs and red meat. Non-training days, It purely meat and fat. Works wonders.
Hey Vic, your posts are really good, well I’m 16 and I really like to know how to endure when you’re still living with your family
support from Morocco
Hamza,
Getting started with a focus in life is easier when you’re younger, as you train in good habits and avoid the bad ones, setting a good foundation for the future.
Some advice to a young man:
1. Start working out immediately if you aren’t already doing so. It is a huge boost to self-confidence, overall health and will give you the drive and discipline to succeed in other areas of your life. If you can’t afford to join a gym, there are still plenty of ways you can work out from home with minimal or no equipment.
2. Choose your friends very wisely. At 16, many other young men and women will lack maturity. It is far better to have just a few close friends that you can trust, than to try and be “Mr. Popular” with a bunch of friends that won’t have your back when you need it. Look for people of integrity and learn from them. Also, try to reach out to people quite a bit older than yourself. There’s much wisdom to be learned from people who have gone before you. We were all a 16 year old at one point.
3. If work is available to you, start working and saving your money as soon as possible. Whether you want to start a business someday, wish to pay for a college education, or just have an emergency fund, there’s no such thing as “too early” for a man to start work. Look within yourself and assess what your best skills are and apply them to get even better.
4. Make routines a part of your life. Set goals and discipline yourself to get to bed early and wake up early to kick some butt. Although tempting, don’t get too distracted with media such as TV, time-wasting websites, cell phone apps, games and so forth. You can relax at the end of the day after you’ve accomplished all your goals.
5. Don’t worry too much about girls. Instead, focus on building yourself up. Women come to a man as part of his own process to improve. Chase them, and they’ll run away.
The very fact that you’re on Bold and Determined means you’re already many steps ahead of the game. Read the archives here, there’s plenty of great material to catch up on.
Victor, what do you think about union jobs that have great health insurance? I’m already vested and have 10 years with them. Plus I get a lot of days off. In the mean time I’m still trying to open up my online business…what are your thoughts?????
Luis,
If you have a well-paying job with great benefits, there’s no reason to jump ship right away, if at all.
If I were in your shoes, I’d ask myself the following questions:
1. Does the industry that I’m working appear to have good long-term prospects of staying employed? Detroit city employees are largely unionized. That didn’t make a lick of a difference when the city ran out of money and thousands were laid off their jobs. Are you aware of the financial situation of your employer? Is it rosy, somewhere in-between, or bleak?
2. How’s your physical condition? Is your job taxing to your body? If so, how many more years can you estimate that you can continue to work? Lastly, if you get injured on the job, what kind of coverage is available to you?
3. Starting up a secondary income stream is something I recommend to all men. It is one of the upcoming themes that I will be turning into a full-blow article shortly. Some men such as Victor go the eBook route paired with affiliate links. That’s certainly viable, but it takes a good 12-24 months if not more before a solid income can be derived from blogging. That’s assuming you have a good product to back up your articles with.
4. Blogging can be extremely time-consuming in the initial stages. Much like working out at the gym if you haven’t gone in a while. The body will be cranky and even the lighter weights will feel heavy. If you can get past the initial mental blocks, you stand a chance of making some real money. Most blogs get started and the author gives up within a few weeks because he didn’t make a $1,000 for writing three articles. Victor is getting 100+ comments now on some articles because he’s built up his site over the course of several years. Perseverance is key!
5. If you want to blog online, by all means, do so. That being said, if you want to make an income out of it, you need to read this article if you haven’t done so already:

No Bee Businesses!
Ask yourself, what product or service can you sell online? What do you do with your union job? Is there a way to spin that off into something that can be marketed online? Lets get to it.
Thanks
Union “workers” are useless bums. Better stay in the union, you’d never make it in the real world.
Vic,
Great article as usual. I am going after my dream of being a fire fighter. At the same time while I wait to get in, I went ahead and created my own blog based on your advice. I am also following 30 Days of Discipline and man that shit is awesome! I wake up everyday with purpose. I even went to the dentist and doctor, something I have been putting off for years, as living like a Sparta, and making life a bit more simple, has left room for the important things.
I know make times for things that really matter in mind, body and spirit. Thanks to you I gave up porn and found that website about your brain on porn. That has had a huge impact on my anxiety and depression. I also am writing an ebook for guys without dads and how to overcome this. Not enough people give a shit about that or give ways to move past it.
Again man thanks for all the advice and good posts. I would have never gave up the porn and started kicking more ass if it wasn’t for you. Awesome job bro!
Hey Victor, I’d like to know, at what age did you start TRT?
Hey Vic! I just want to say Happy New Year and I came across your website last June and wanted to let you know that since I started going on this website, I stopped going to stylist to get my haircut and started going to an actual barber shop. I also got a safety razor for Christmas and I love using it and I finally get a nice close shave which is a hell of a lot better than those cheap disposable razors and I am a proud owner of a money clip now instead of a wallet. I also stopped using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and haven’t had the desire to go back on those sites. They were way too addicting. I will definitely start adding more things that I read on B&D into my daily life. You are awesome and I know that this website will get even better.
Thank you,
“B”
Hey Vic, Ive got a problem and was wondering if you could help me out:
In the last few days, I started getting an immense pain in the neck while and after doing pushups. Know anything that might help?
You should make hard copies of 30 days of discipline. I would buy it then. I don’t really like ebooks.
