Western buddhists always want you to be mindful of everything.
“Be mindful of this, be mindful of that.”
Western buddhists are always lost souls and don't know what they're talking about.
The reality is that mindfulness is nothing but living in your head.
When you're “mindful” you are never free to create spontaneity.
That is why the “mindfulness” teachers are exactly that - teachers.
Remember that people who can, do.
People who cannot, teach you to be mindful.
The greats create the great work precisely because they do it MINDLESSLY.
If you create mindful work you can be sure you have created work that is meaningless.
However, when you create mindless work…
Then you're on to something.

Absolutely true, Vic. When you read the great works by people like Jesus, Buddha, etc it’s pretty clear that they didn’t use their mind, but rather, let something higher, a higher intelligence, flow *through* them. Trying to be mindful, ironically, only makes me more shackled in the mind prison that they want us in, and new age buddhists seem to have completely misunderstood everything the buddha stood for.
I’m thrilled to read your work because you are clearly not just a meathead pumping iron and cashin checks (although that’s an important part of life). You’re on to so much more…this Victor/Nick is so much more interesting to follow than the somewhat uni-dimensional persona who made B&D a success in its early years. I understand why you did that then, but very happy to see what you are doing now, dropping red-pills and exploring the subtler aspects of life.
Looking forward to your next 12 articles this month!
Best,
Karl
Your best work so far. Definitely my favorite.
Good stuff
Had a good belly laugh when you said be a mindless buffoon.
Good one, thanks.
I’d love to hear: “There Is No Such Thing As Tomorrow” narrated in the next youtube video of this kind.
Dope
Ok, now I understand. Thanks.

I’ve been thinking this since you’ve started releasing these videos: They are a game-changer. Haven’t quite seen anything like them. Keep ’em coming.
Hey Vic, I have been reading your blog and improving myself greatly. I have noticed I seem to be on autopilot a lot, not really in touch with my senses and feel kind of like a robot.
I lift weights and run my own business but I don’t feel like I am here. While I am accomplishing my goals I feel my obsession to make money and build a business has put my mind in limbo while my body runs on autopilot.
While I understand how this post can help a lot, I think it only fuels my obsession which I feel is the root of my problem.
