Subj: How to be a modern day Musashi
—
I prefer my own company.
This is why I start my own companies and work only for myself.
I hire people, I work for no one.
They say entrepreneurs can’t work for other people and it’s true. I can't work for anybody else and I never could.
I’ve been fired from every job I’ve ever had. I’ve even been fired from mopping the floor at a liquor store.
I have an attitude. I hate authority. I am not nice. I was always a terrible employee.
On the other hand, I am a perfect entrepreneur.
Because I am a perfect entrepreneur I am going to share with you my tips, tricks, and tools of the trade.
To all the lone wolf would-be entrepreneurs, this is for you…
Victor Pride's 8 Ways of Working Alone
1) Build your own business
Entrepreneurship requires that you build the business.
You cannot be some sort of “freelancer” and be an entrepreneur. You cannot simply “work from home” and be an entrepreneur.
You have to build the business from the ground up.
The business has to first be nothing but a product of your imagination and then using your power of will you create the business that once only existed in your mind.
Red Supplements started as nothing but a thought in my mind.
Using the power of my will to make it happen, we now have a thriving business providing supplements that actually work to men who actually lift.
2) Commit to never having a job
Jobs are the #1 time and energy suck.
Solution? Quit your job.
Everybody who has a day job has no time or energy to build their own business.
With a job you spent the most important part of the day (morning and afternoon) working under the fluorescent lights.
By the time you get home you are too exhausted from working a job you hate with people you don't like that all you can do is pick up KFC and a 6 pack of beer.
You have to have 2 things to build your business:
- Time
- Energy
Having a job robs you of the 2 most vital ingredients in entrepreneurship.
Therefore you must commit to never having a job again.
Of course, to never have a job again requires that you reduce your bills to the bare minimum and live as cheaply as you can.
3) Work 16 hours per day building your business
If you don't work to build the business it won't be built.
Rome was not built in a day, but they damn sure put in 16 hours per day every day to build it.
16 hours per day is the bare minimum amount of time it takes to build your own business.
You must be fully 100% dedicated to this craft or it will not work.
There is no half-assery. There is no part-time. You are either in or you are out and there is no in-between.
Put in 16 hours per day or fuck off back to the office and go buy stuff with your credit card on your 45 minute lunch break.
4) Prepare to live on little to no money
Live like no one will right now so that you can live like no one can later.
You can't be spending money without a way to make money.
You have to very first start MAKING MONEY before you can start spending money.
So do not spend any money while you are building your business.
You need all the funds you can get for your business, so use none of it or almost none of it for yourself.
Pay for food, housing, and gym and nothing else.
Use the money you do make to further your business.
Business expenses are fine, personal expenses are not.
I don't give a damn if you're dressed in rags and eating ramen noodles every night, do not spend extra money on yourself until your business is actively making money.
To end up rich like Mark Z. you must first live like Musashi.
5) Eliminate or reduce your bills
Anything you can do to live free while you build your business is a good thing to do.
Remember that it is only temporary. You are living cheap and doing whatever you have to do to achieve it so that you may focus on building your business and making money in the future.
What I did was get rid of all of my stuff in America, move to China, teach English 2x per week, got a free apartment paid for by the school, all bills paid, plus I earned a mild salary that allowed me to have 5 days per week free and build this very blog of greatness.
I went from teaching English in China to making a million dollars from a blog in just 4 years.
Retarded idiots spend hundreds of thousands on a liberal college education and cannot even get a job after 4 years.
Be practical and be smart, reduce your bills as much as you possibly can.
6) Stay out of debt
Debt will never allow you the freedom you need to build your own business.
Debt acts like a noose around your neck and guarantees that you keep on working like a good little worker-bee.
They give you easy access to “credit” and they bombard you with commercials for gadgets because they want to play on your greed and ensure that you keep consuming.
So just don't do it.
Stay out of debt or don't be an entrepreneur.
Debt is for retarded worker-bees who have no self-control. In the way of working alone, self-control is essential.
If you aren't prepared to exercise extreme self-control, fuck off back to the office.
7) Keep the focus always in your mind
The only thing you should be thinking about every day, day and night, is how to make your business work better.
The business is your wife, your mistress, your girlfriend, and your daughter.
Nothing else matters in this time.
You must have a fully selfish focus on your business or it will not work.
The business uses your focused energy for food. Without food, nothing grows.
Always keep the fire of focus burning intensely.
When you quit thinking about your business, it will wither like a plant that does not receive water.
When you feed your business the focus it needs, it will grow like a wildfire.
8) Start a business that actually has possibilities
It should go without saying but it won't: Start a business that has the possibility to grow.
The business should already have an existing but under-served market, or you must know beyond a doubt that the market does exist but there is no business filling the need.
I started B&D; because I knew there was a desperate need for the information B&D; provides. This clairvoyance has proven itself true time and time again.
“But Victor, what business should I start?”
No one will tell you what business to start, dipshit.
Did you already forget the title of the business plan? The way of working alone. It is not the way of being given a business.
That is why it's hard to become an entrepreneur - you have to do everything yourself.
No one is going to build the business for you and that includes business ideas.
I would rather light my eyebrows on fire or staple my head to the carpet than give away a good business idea.
It is YOUR business to learn what business to start. And if you cannot do that then you cannot join the club.
This is a club of self-starters, self-empowered, self-sufficient only.
If you can't get in we do not want you in.
The barrier of entry keeps out the retarded losers and lets in only the winners.
That is why there are so precious few of us at the time.
We are the ones who went the extra mile to do everything the right way.
That is why we are here and you are there.
Period. End of story.
Make it happen or fuck off back to the fluorescent office.
Until next time.
Your man,
-Victor Pride

I never get bored reading your work.
It’s great to see a new work of art every day from you.
It motivates me to publish mine better and better through these 30 days.
Thank you, Victor.
Great article. Working a job is like living a slave’s life. The real man is a master of his own life and commands others to do his bidding. Self reliance is true manliness. You are a real man. Keep writing more ass kicking articles.
Love how often you repeat in your posts that staying out of debt is a key factor to financial sucess. Thanks for bringing this message out there. I can’t stress enough the importance of this.
This is the real deal.
I know that because I am living exactly like that for over 2 years now.
I don’t even pay for the gym, I got a set of barbells and I do bodyweight exercises, like that I won’t need a gym membership which I had for 2 years but I don’t need that.
My physique is getting even better due to intermittent fasting.
Working out in nature is a lot of fun.
Bookmarked.
When you are out there living life the way you want to live ,or working for it, business ideas come to you naturally.
Hey Vic, when you switched over to the carnivore diet what was the adaptation period like and how long did it last? Did you experience any negative side effects at first? Cheers.
Yet another great post Vic. I was down this morning and I said to myself… why not visit bold and determine? And which is what I did. I was grateful for that, it takes dedication, will-power, and sacrifice to bring out the best out of ones business.
Now, am recharge to charge of things and put things in order. Once again thanks for this post.
it takes courage to be alone, and find the truth.
Excellent post. Yo Vic am having trouble finding a company name. Do you have any advise on finding a good name for starting a business
Sorry VIC, it should be clear that staying out of debt IN THE BEGINNING OF ESTABLISHMENT OF THE BUSINESS is a good idea.
BUT
The great entrepreneur soon learns that they need capital and now must use DEBT as a weapon to grow.
Here is a dirty secret of the rich they use debt to get paid ;) and they know how to control the debt.
“Make it happen or fuck off back to the fluorescent office.” Too real.
I’m a follower since back in the day, Victor. I’d read your blog posts during lunch while working in some shitty financial company. Rather than motivate me, each article twisted the knife of mediocrity deeper until the status quo simply became *unbearable*.
That’s what I needed.
Long story short, 2 years later I found my fire and am running my own business. Weekends, holidays and all that nonsense just doesn’t exist anymore - it’s wake up and hunt each and every day. And even though it’s tough as hell, I would happily do this for 100 years than go back and work a day for somebody else.
So just wanna say thank you. When nobody around me ‘got’ my ideas for a business and a different life, your blog was fuel. Especially the Make it and take it principle - “You make your place in life. You make it and take it. You visualize it, attract it, make it and take it. That’s mine and I’ll have that now”.
You’ve got a gift, man. Thank you for sharing it. Wish you luck in life and with the B&D empire.
Peace.
